You will be able to see the feddbacks of people who bought the products and services of Don Valley Golf Course (Golf) around Etobicoke territory (Canada).
Nowadays the firm gets a rating of 4.2 stars out of 5 and this score is based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that it reaches an feddbacks average is really high, and it's founded on a large number of opinions, so we may think that the rating is very reliable. If there are many people who bothered to give their feddback when they are happy with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to put opinions when they are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Golf is included in the category of Golf course.
the location is very convenient and as for price cant beat that
Excellent breakfast. Very well maintained for a public golf course.
Love the course. Staff not so much.
Waste of public land that could be used for something else instead of golf.
Always a treat to play a great course at municipal rates ... It is in fabulous shape too !
Wonderful, friendly staff, amazing course, good price, central location, always in great shape, it's my favorite option.
Nice
Nice place to chase a ball around.
The course was in decent shape. Really good for a public course. But going as a single you have to wait for like ever.
Good layout in great location. What "muni golf" is all about. Conditioning is okay but reflects green fees, city ownership and a lot of play.
Based on price and challenge the Don Valley golf course near Yonge Street and the 401 in my opinion ranks as a five star golfing experience. The course provides challenging par 3, 4 and 5 hole opportunities and the 12th hole is regularly ranked as one of the best par 5 holes in the city of Toronto. You won't find a better priced golf course for the intermediate and expert golfer.
I love the scenery here and also the management very helpful always. Had a great time with grand kids playing golf. I would certainly recommend Don Valley Golf Course.
Marshal has no smelling for the players, and they try to push the player play quick with the bad tone. The reason is they are going to go home! When they push us, the time was 4:55. Does it like good golf club?
Good course. Couple very challenging holes but a very fair course. Highly recommend! ????????
Best municipal course in the city. Front 9 is a good challenge. Friendly staff. It can get busy but its so handy i play it often. # 3 is my favourite a short par 5 that will drive you nuts, hidden trouble everywhere.
Good place
Best of the city munis. What a fun track! Take hole 14 (and maybe no. 1) out of it and you have a really nicely designed golf course. Fair price, ideal location, great place to play. Can get slow from time to time but has definitely improved over the 5.5h-6h rounds of yesteryear. Rarely go over 4.5h. Beauty track.
Quiet relaxing rounds

By far the best municipal golf course in Toronto. Medium in length, but some very tricky holes.
Awesome city course...so convenient and reasonably challenging
Great place to go with kids too.
Golf course is great, the restaurant not so great. Old decor.
Beautiful public golf course. I'm not a golfer so cannot vouch for the facilities but it was a great place to walk during COVID-19. Unfortunately it's now closed to non-golfers. Highly recommended if you're still around for the next pandemic.
Nice course nestled within the uptown portion of the Don Valley. The course can be challenging but it does have a forgiveness factor for new golfers. It can be a long day should you choose to walk over using a power cart. At around $70 dollar a round it is expensive considering it is a municipal golf course.
Valley course, need better maintenance!
Love this golf course. So convenient as it is easy to access from downtown, uptown or from out of town either by transit or automobile. The course is well maintained especially when you consider how busy it is. There are some fun holes, particularly the par 4 holes 9 and 18 which, if you have a long drive, give you an opportunity to try to go for the green in one. Worst hole is the par 3 15th which has an elevated tee deck made of turf.
I cannot tell about golfing here but crosscountry skiing in winter is marvelous. Although, it is more for leisurely walk than for a run. The scenery is so beautiful. The only negative is the salty snow under highway 401 bridge.
Putting green is not maintained.
Absolutely beautiful golf course very well maintained will be glad to play here again as this was my first time here
Nice little place. Worth vising ! wish it was bigger. very unique locations for sure !
This morning my Dad and I played a full round and was partnered with a lovely man. But unfortunately when we were teeing off and introducing ourselves to our new partner, we were aggressively yelled at by a staff member to hurry up. Then, the group behind us started screaming and cursing at us, and continued to do so throughout the course. By the 6th or 7th hole, I was cat-called by one of the men from the group behind us, being told “hey baby looking good”. We are appalled by the behaviour of the group behind us, the staff member at the tee off and the overall lack of respect on the course. I do not recommend any golfers who are looking to be respected and experience proper etiquette from the staff, to go to Don Valley.
Great course, could use more working water fountains.
Good course in the heart of the city and easily accessible
Fun place for a quick round in the city. Good deals on twilight tee times (no werewolfs).
Nice terrain and good size. Very busy and crowded some times.
The best public golf course in the City of Toronto. Very busy. Be prepared to dedicate 5 hours for 18 holes. Waiting at tee boxes is common as there are some hackers at this course.

Beautiful and well worth it.
Busy this year but worth getting on-line at 7:30 to book. Hope it stays open for golf but maybe it could close for walkers more?
Definitely my favorite public course in the city. Having the 401 fly over head is so majestic and being down in the valley makes you forget that you're actually in the middle of the city.
Have not played this course in many years. This time around I was pleasantly surprise with great condition of the course and the spacing was excellent. I have always felt rushed playing this course with very tight tee times.
Decent course with lots of hills and short Par 4’s.
Private golf place in public property. Management is very unfriendly and rude to local people.
Beautiful scenery, very hilly, great instructions,
Great challenging course for the money. Location doesn't get much better either.
(Translated) Not an identical hole..Green perfect ... beautiful city golf (Original) Pas un trou identique..Green parfait...beau golf de ville
It is quiet and near the house.
Gorgeous oasis, leisurely pace (e.g. slow - its public!) and super economical prices at this iconic city course!
Nice place
Absolute joke of an establishment. Obviously it is run by the city of Toronto. Entire operation and management is terrible. Have tried to book a tee time for 3 weekends straight. Online tee sheet booking opens up at 7:30am - I have been on each time at 7:30 on the dot. Tried to book for 8am on the weekend. Every time there is nothing available until 4pm. Clearly staff are giving tee time to friends and family. When you call to book a tee time, be prepared to wait 10 minutes for automated greeting, then when you do get through the phone rings forever, no one picks up, and no voicemail to leave a message. It is the the most insulting place to try and book golf. Do yourself a favour and drive an extra 20 minutes to get some value and play somewhere that cares about your $$.
Great course, great value; therefore very busy.
Well run: Good value , beautiful setting. On line booking is worth using.
Very great course! My friends and I come here often.
Great back 9
well run
Nice golf course
Great course nestled in the heart of Toronto. Currently has a couple of holes under construction, but still a great round to play.
I have played this course for over 20 years. Not a great player - best score ever was 82. Usually in 90-100 range. I felt compelled to post this review as I'm not really convinced that some of the other reviewers were actually at this course. It is relatively short but tight. Slope rating of 120+ seems accurate. Green fees are a bargain by GTA standards and you spare yourself a forty minute drive (not to mention gas) each way given its central location. If you think Don valley is overpriced then you will think EVERY GTA course is. Get a grip. Despite being one of the most heavily played courses in the country the course is kept in very good shape. Although I admit that the sand traps are not up to the standards of other course features. Lastly I find the staff uniformly congenial and helpful. Of course if YOU behave in an obnoxious manner don't be surprised if you are treated accordingly. In short - a reasonably priced Toronto treasure with nice people. EXACTLY WHAT COURSE DID THESE NAYSAYERS PLAY AT?? Suspect these reviews speak more about the reviewer than the course. Although that's just one mans opinion. One who has played 200 Rounds there. Think you get my point
Nice
Beautiful course and awesome sunset!
.
Git around in 3.5 hours....quick
Great course, I've played it a few times while visiting family in Toronto. A hidden gem. Had an awesome experience with the staff last time I was there -- I'd dropped my iPhone (which was dead at the time) somewhere on the course just before sundown, and didn't realize until a few hours later. I called them early the next morning, and they had my phone! I'm not sure whether it was a fellow golfer or staff member who'd turned it in, but they had it at the clubhouse and I got it back right away. Thank you!
very nice
A little bit more expensive than Humber and challenging in a very different way. The par 5s are long but relatively easy. The biggest challenge is that there are many holes that start or end hitting over water and a few with very difficult elevation to green. It was a very fun course to play! We will be back!
(Translated) Good place to walk (Original) Buen lugar para caminar
Open for walking during closed season.
great location and good price! cant beat it!
This golf course is in impeccable condition for a City run course. It is challenging and fair. I am just amazed by how well it is maintained. I did not know there was a nature reserve under the 401. If you walk this course, you will also endure a healthy hike with tons of undulations.
Great coaches, amazing course, and kind, respectful people
What a beautiful course. I forgot I was golfing in the city. So many challenging holes for great elevation changes. I was thoroughly impressed by the conditions too. The greens and fairways were in pristine shape. I will be back to play this course again
No one told us the four holes were closed.
Went for a round when they first were allowed to open again. They are very well organized in comparison to other courses dealing with COVID-19 distancing measures. They were prepared, people knew where they were suppose to be, no second guessing. Course was in excellent condition.
Fantastic city course. Highly recommend.
Price good ! Course good for fittness
Nice
Good golf course to approach.
Excellent public golf course. The fairways and greens are in great shape this year.
Course is nice but staff are rude
I come here with my husband and we both love this place. Beautiful setting, friendly staff and great facilities.
Great challenging hilly city course.
One of the nicest golf course in city
Great muni. Tough walk though. Especially the last 5 or 6 holes.
Don Valley has seen an upgrade to its putting greens near the old-style clubhouse.Great view from the clubhouse, too. Very reasonable prices given that its close to subway syatem. Unfortunately, course needs to do something about cars parked at this course that use it as a public parking lot.
Great course in the city! The convenience justifies the price; however, if you have the time there are better courses out of the city. If looking to play this course I'd recommend booking in advance as times do get booked up pretty quickly.
This place is where you go when your to poor to get in to rosedale golf club
Great municipality course
A gem. Great course overall and even better to have it in the city. Highly recommend

Beautiful course to play in the fall! The scenery is fantastic with all the amazing colours. The rate is very steep and be aware that they jam the course solid.
Great
Free parking during day. Just dont walk out of normal driveway. Walk down the steep grass from the side.
Good course condition.
Beautiful course. Challenging without being punishing. Lots of hills prepare to get excercise.
Great value. Conditions are very good and a great layout. The new holes are a little funky but the original routing is wonderful. The patio may be one of the best views in the city for a drink.

Good course, longer hitters may find it too short. Good value and good location for most Torontonians
Beautiful course, competitive rates considering it's in the city limits, and the staff are very friendly. Just be prepared to climb some hills! You'll forget you're in the city the landscape is so pristine.
A well keep golf course in the city. The fall has amazing colours. A great place for a winter walk. Take a look at my winter pictures. Such a breathtaking golf course in the city of Toronto. Take a walk before it’s opened only to golfers.

The best city of Toronto course. Awesome place
A bit pricier than the other municipal golf courses but it's a great course especially in the fall with the colours.
Absolutely love this course. Maybe it’s because I played it so much this summer but it seems like every time I play it I learn something new about the course and my game. An underratedly complex course good for all players.
Nice place
For a municipal course in the heart of the city it's a good test for the average golfer. It's always busy but it moves along. There's a good variety of holes with undulation.
Amazing place for hiking, picnic and so much more. Make sure to check that there are no golf game or the hiking is closed
Excellent layout, beautifully tree-lined and undulating, on all but two or three holes (the dogleg left uphiller with the periscope and the par 3 after). Front 9 is tougher than the shorter back 9. Greens generally in good condition. It's a long, but rewarding walk, and despite the proximity of highway 401, going overhead, it's a constant, faint sound you don't notice too much (unlike the courses close to the airport, where the infrequency of planes makes the sound noticeable).
Good place to golf
Great public course with plenty of free parking and easily accessible off the 401. Well maintained and a great layout even if only playing the Front 9. Pace of play is slow but that can be expected when busy and open to the public who may not play as often
Great location for twilight golf.
The golf course is a good condition. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a great time.
I entered by mistake riding my bike from a public park to the North. No fence, no private property signal, just an open path through the woods into the course. Instead of showing me to the correct exit the staff nearly expelled me to a private and completely fenced construction zone under the 401 bridge. I just could exit thanks to a guy that happened to have the keys to the site.
Good conditions, over priced, forced to rent one golf cart per person and at $24 a person; a little ridiculous is an understatement. After golf cart rental you're looking at just under $100 for the day. Marshall was rushing us even though we were stuck behind a slow group. But again very well-kept course almost in the heart of Toronto
If you take into account price vs location, it's one of the best around. Right by a subway stop in the heart of the city.
The most beautiful places that I have ever seen in my life ????
Beautiful golf course. 18 holes and can rent a cart.
Best in town
Huge
Great public course. Not very long but there are some good holes.
Beautiful course. Challenging without being punishing.
Marshall doesn't even speak english, very rude and rushing you all the time. 2 stars cause the field is pretty. We paid for a twosome and got in four some where the others had no cart. The pace of a foursome that are pretty much walking has its own, its a PATIENCE BASED game. Also the clubs are terribly old, worn out grips and broken. Too much for its price, its a shame, never had such a bad experience, and I've been playing golf for my whole life.
Located conveniently at Hwy 401 & Yonge Street the Don Valley Golf Course is a beautiful City owned Golf Course that will not disappoint. Well kept grounds, challenging holes and multiple elevations will challenge every golfer regardless of skill level. Playing either 9 or 18 holes are options. Easily accessible in the heart of North York and 2 minutes from Hwy 401 this course is one of them hidden gems that you would know was there if passing by on Yonge or when travelling on Hwy 401.
if you like walking up steep hills this course is for you.
Just a great one for a chip eh bud
Slow pace of play
Blue 87. I was very lucky to show up and get on right away without going on the waiting list. This never happens. The course is in good shape, some of the greens have a lot of ball marks because players are too downright lazy and disrespectful to repair them. This is likely the only course in Canada that you can take a subway too. At first the Pace of play was slow but the marshal came around and got things moving again and what looked like a 5hr round turned into a 4:15 - the way it should be. The only thing hurting the course: there is no player driving range and the person taking tee times doesn’t speak English well (tried earlier to book and then decided to just show up and try the WL) but outside of that its pretty good.
Great location
Nice condition. Very nice staff.
the guys work real hard and maintain a great green
Great, holes 10 through 13 are closed when I went, May 2nd. Course is great. Price was reduced to $35 because of the maintenance for weekday rate. Will definitely go again. Nice long holes a a long course.
Great location, course is in great shape AND I shot a 40 on the back 9.
This is a city course that is probably one of the best courses of its kind. Fairly reasonable price at $70 but the carts are too expensive. Two holes need work but are passable.
Great condition, good speed of play. Active marshalls.
Beautiful course.
A beautiful and well-maintained course in North York. Very fun to play but not easy for beginners due to undulations. Fairways are somewhat narrow. A little expensive compared to other courses in GTA.

Can't beat the location and price. Course of not top notch but that's ok.
Great facility with nice and welcoming staff
Challenging course.
Decent shape, but greens were very slow... Not unlike the pace of play! ????
For a City course - this is great golf.
Convenient location and reasonable price
Tough but scenic course in the city
#JenniferKeesmaat if elected has proposed to close this course :(
Great old course, with fun routing amidst a highway and a major roadway. Great for being right in the city.
This place was tough, one of the harder par 5s in the city, not for beginners at all.
Excellent City coarse. Friendly and helpful staff. In the middle of the City.
Great course. Challenging views. Today we had extremely pushy foursomes right behind us. But that speaks of character of this foursome and not the course.
Decent golf course for the city, but super tight fairways and rounds can drag on course fills up and things slow down.
Great golf in the city!!
Don Valley is a challenging course and to play requires 4.5 to 5 hours. Pro shop staff seem helpful & starters prompt. I like the new on line booking system . I am not pleased with the policy of being unable to book on line as single unless there is a space left by a 3 some and while I understand the system could be abused however if you miss your booking just once ,your are barred from the system, The problem is therefore that 2s or 3s will book as 4 and when they show up make an excuse why the others are not with them so available for a single to book is not open ahead of time. I suppose it is a difficult balance. From the course point of view a walk on could be accommodated but there is no guarantee on the waiting time could be immediate or could be over an hour.
Gem

Only place to play proper 18 in the city. Friendly staff and rangers
Nice course in the middle of the city
Nice course located in the heart of North York. Gets super busy and backed up after 9am. Tee off early if you want to beat the congestion.
Love this course! As a single most of the time, I have met a lot of great people, who love golf like I do. Staff are excellent. Cart personnel- excellent. Looking forward to next year already.
Regularly walk at this golf course with our dogs. It's well laid out. Haven't been to the club house for coffee for ages, they do have cider on tap which is great.
Great public course for the price
Good full length public course. Very challenging layout with lots of hills.
One of our go-to courses to see where our games are at. Pace was pretty good (usually slow). Free parking as at all golf courses.
A little pricey for walking it on a Thursday afternoon.....$63. The greens were slow but otherwise a nice course.
Great place to visit
????????????????????????
A lovely course in the city. Very well maintained. Reasonably challenging and hilly.

Great course but stupidly overpriced

Good experience. Seems well run and tee times maintained as booked.

Greens and fairways are well maintained. If you're a walker the back 9 is hilly, but the majority of holes are close together (1 to 2 and 8 to 9 are a bit of a walk). Great value and it's in the city.
nice looking course
Beautiful course. Challenging without being punishing.
The man working the counter gave away our tee time while we were waiting outside in the busy lineup to check in.
Amazing great condition awesome resource!!!!
great course, nice layout. lots of interesting elevation changes, mature trees, no waits at all.
Course is in great condition. Too bad the tow rope after 18 is out of commission, likely due to Covid protocol. Luckily the other way up to the clubhouse is a little less steep a climb.
Great course that needs lots of strategic shots. Many short par 4s that make sense to keep driver in the bag. Elevation changes, great scenery. Too bad it's always so busy.
good government course
Scammers. I booked a training session with the head of the department. He said he would teach me. After I was done my training session, the guy told me he wasn’t who I booked it with and they had just switched it up. Terrible

Can't beat the location and price
(Translated) The fairway is narrow and there are many trees Beginners can be difficult, but To the golf course located in the city center It was good to be able to round at a relatively low price. Especially for seniors, $36 on weekdays and $41 on weekends? The course is also good compared to the expensive golf course!! Very nice public course... It has been around for a long time and still looks good. Not top challenging but a good test. Very well run and very organized. Fair prices and great location just off Hwy 401 and Yonge Street.
Course is in fantastic shape. Greens were true albeit a bit slow even for a municipal course. I was surprised that we were able to finish a round in 4 hours 20 min. It's was 5 hours to finish in the previous years. We saw the Marshall several times throughout so, that helps with the pace of play.
Great place to walk in the winter. Nice to have the option of a big open space that's not crowded at all.
Beautiful place to walk, ski and snowshoe.
Course in good shape, pace of play was good-we finished in about 4.5 hrs. Greens a bit slow, otherwise course was quite good.
Good golfing place
If you want to play speed golf this course is for you. I’ve been playing golf for 10 years and played many courses. I have never been so harassed and pressured by the Marshal to play speed golf like I did at Don Valley. We played 18 holes less than 4 hours and not one time did we see the people playing behind us. I will never play here again.
(Translated) Ok???? (Original) Ok????
Don valley is one of the best public courses in the city. Though post covid it has been very difficult to get a tee time.
The marshals harassed us about 5 times between the first and second tees to the point where we decided to leave the course. We were a pair playing with another random pair and were all moving at a reasonable pace. We knew that they were overbooked so we played bestball to be courteous of the people behind us. We hit par and a bogie on the the only two tees we played so it wasn't even like we were playing slowly or hitting too many shots... However, the marshals continued to harass us, particularly me and my partner who were the only people of colour in sight. After bringing this up, the staff said they were having a slow day and were frustrated. It is extremely unprofessional to pin their problems on us just because, they overbooked. I would not return. I'm going to sign the petition to replace the golf course with a playground...
Great corse.. I'm a repeating customer..great value!
The course is in pretty good shape. But even with 12 minute tee off times, we were still waiting on every shot. Total time for the round was about four and a half hours, which is not horrible. no evidence the Marshalls were doing anything to pace the play moving.
beautiful course
Great location. Greens are in very good shape considering that it’s a city owned course
It's one of the best golf course in town.

I have been trying to book this course the ENTIRE summer, this is the second week that I have been on at 7:30am exactly and am still NOT able to book a time here. I am not the first person to have an issue with the booking system, based on other posts. If you don't have members you shouldn't be playing favourites....
Pace of play is always an issue. Course is in decent shape. Price is very reasonable.
Good social distancing measures, ample parking area, the most challenging municipal course in Toronto. Time to leave this as a golf course, city is currently doing a poorly advertised review for alternative/complementary land uses (e.g. Doing away with holes to connect the trail system to Earl Bales park & community gardens). The habitat on this course will be destroyed, it's a natural migratory pattern for Canadian Geese (3rd hole). The 18th hole rope climb should be operational now in the 3rd phase of restrictions (social distancing only).
Good place to take your dog when the golf course is closed.
Course is still in great shape and its a great choice for a casual day of golf.
Such a great challenge course
Not a bad coarse but what a ripoff over priced for a city coarse ill never go back thanks john tory
I did a hike around the DVGC and it was a nice experience.

A great public course in the heart of the city. Friendly staff and reasonable rates makes it very enjoyable to play.
The coirse was wet, the greens were slow, the pace of play was slow and when we finished the power rope to assist you to get up the incline was not working cause of covid, the course should have someone with a power cart take golfers up the hill.

pretty well kept up, not bad
