This is a great spot for those that like par 3 and 4s! The course is a perfect blend of enjoyable and challenging. It's a 12 hole course, which is simply perfect; I find 18 holes can be a bit much and 9 holes not enough! The staff is wonderful and friendly, but they should be more strict in enforcing covid protocols. That is the ONLY reason it didn't hit 5 stars for me.

The Marshal rushed our team of 3 several times for several holes although we were keeping good pace. Don't go to this course if you want a relaxing weekend, expect to get badgered, often. Poor management. Many nicer courses close by, not worth booking.

First time at Derrydale, nice little course. Quick 12 holes in under 2 1/2 hrs. Great to work on your short game. Nice layout of holes. Social distancing policy in place for clubhouse, masks or face covering must be worn.

I've been playing here since the late 80s when it was 18 holes. I was even a member in the 90s. I come back every once in a while just to say hi to Jimmy, and test my skill against this 12 hole course. An enjoyable walk. A good way to spend a few hours. Perfect for all levels.

Sadly what started out as a really fun way to celebrate Father's Day turned into a complete nightmare when the owner of this course was disrespectful and rude to us. When we arrived tee times were already backed up and the person on duty suggested that rather than go as a group of two and a group of three which was what we had booked that we just play using a best ball strategy and all go out at the same time. The owner was horribly rude to us at the end of the 8th hole and told us that we had to leave because we couldn't play five at a time, even though we agreed to do this to help them out. Even when we said fine we'll go three and two and we'll get another set of clubs he refused to let us and was rude and insulting to us. He complained that we were holding up the golfers which was a complete lie considering we had to wait at every single tee before we could even begin.. He complained that we would have five people putting, and five people driving etcetera,but even playing best ball. Well of course we did, we had five people who had paid to play and it was their decision to have us go out all is one group rather than as 2 because as the original rman at the desk when we arrived,a recognized, this would be a faster way for us to play and they were very busy. Sadly it seems the only one with any customer service is probably going to get reamed out by his a****** of a boss. We won't ever be back again. The way you know that they realized that they were in the wrong, they gave us a full refund rather than just admit they were wrong and let us continue golfing which was what we wanted to do. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever received!

Nice place but turned off by the Clientele and staff. The environment feels hostile and people give you weird looks. Didn’t feel welcomed. Overall I felt discriminated and disrespected. Definitely won’t be going back. Anyone of color just be cautious.

Derrydale has very nice staff and the grounds are well kept. It is a great little golf course in the middle of the city with very good pricing. Its uniqueness of 12 holes is cool. You can stop after 9 but if you want to play a little more there are three extra holes you can play I very much enjoy golfing there and will continue too golf here when ever I can.

This is a great par 3 and par 4 course. Nicely maintained and up kept. The only draw back is the course is only 12 holes but they charge you the price of an 18 hole course. I can get six more holes for the same price at peel village.

Came with my friends to buy a membership. Since it was our first time there we got lost looking for an office. While walking towards the parking extremely rude man (probably the manager, he didn’t introduce himself) came up to us and started to yell that it’s not the walking path and what are we doing here? We explained. He was keep on going teaching us what to do instead of helping us, welcome us and at list show us a single hint of hospitality. Needles to say that we left the place and “0” recommendations from us.

This 12 hole gem of a course in the city of Mississauga is fantastic. Every hole has it's challenges, and the ambiance is just phenomenal. The owner and his wonderful family treat everyone with honor and respect, and the staff are extremely friendly and very professional. As an immigrant to this beautiful country, I can honestly say, Derrydale is the very essence of Canadian decency, integrity and inclusiveness. Thank you to the Holmes family and the wonderful staff. I would recommend DERRYDALE to anyone ANYTIME.

One of the poorly maintained golf course in Mississauga. Used to be my fav due to 12 holes being a happy medium between juggling family work and recreation, but can't play here anymore.

These guys are always all over the place, there was a frost delay, when you very well knew there was a high potential of a frost delay I'm sure you were monitoring the temperatures however u would choose to over book the morning slots .. I arrived on our scheduled tee time and was informed it could be up to an hour and half before we get out. also everyone standing around zero social distancing, fire Marshall bill was just standing around smoking a cigarette, considering peel is a hot zone one should be consider enforcing social distancing ....we thought we would book with them as a last outing for the season, we very well had other options but figured let's support local, ah that definitely spoiled our last round of the season..

Wish I could give a zero star. I booked as a single expecting to be paired up with another group but upon checking in at the pro shop, I was asked to play by myself. I kept pace with the group ahead and behind me, and everyone was having a good time. Half way through my course, this person walks up to my cart and said I shouldn’t be playing as a single. I told him that the pro shop asked me to play alone and he said he didn’t care for it. He came back the second time around at 7th hole to say that he will let me play alone this time but that I will be asked to leave the course next time if I’m playing as a single. Extremely unprofessional. Would never come back again.

My favourite course to play! More than 9 but less than 18 holes, making it the perfect and enjoyable amount. The marshals, starters, and rest of the staff are friendly and fantastic. Definitely and always do recommend this course to everyone I know! Thanks Derrydale, you made my summer and first year playing very enjoyable!

Extremely rude marshal who was clearly very sexist. He followed us and creepily stared for a while. He then told us to hurry up even though we were waiting for the group ahead of us. Did not see him speak to the group ahead of us or behind us who were groups of males but definitely felt the need to tell an all female group they were the problem. He also felt the need to tell us we should be playing a scramble and proceeded to tell me what a scramble was even though I am very knowledgeable on how the game is played.

It is a nicely maintained course, however it is not a full 18, it isn't even a 9, it is 12. Price is quite high but playing once every few months isn't bad. Staff is friendly and the beer cart comes by quite frequent.

Golfed here a few times this year. Overall a pretty good course if you're looking for a rare 12 hole course that shouldn't take you more then 3 hours. However some of the staff driving around he course and very rude. A group of 3 (all in our 30s who work in professional occupations such as healthcare, education and government) were talked down to by one of the course Marshalls. Apparently we drove our cart too close to the green (they want a 30ft distance). Instead of the individual speaking to us in a reasonable manner he drove right up next to us with a cigarette in his mouth asking as if we knew how to read. Then asked us what did the sign say? We turned around and only sign present was the cart sign with an arrow pointing to the side we were on so I was a bit confused. I was alittle shocked that this individual was trying to immediate us, yelling for no reason. He then proceeded to follow us to the next couple holes and watch us. If I had spoken the way he did at my workplace I would be fired on the spot. Considering that golf prides itself on be a gentlemans sport with dress code etc you would expect that same level from it's staff.

If you are a person of colour I would ABSOLUTELY NOT recommend this place. I travelled here with a group of 4 buddies all in our late 20s looking so play some golf. We were all well mannered and well dressed wearing polo shirts, golf hats, and golf shorts. We politely mentioned that we were new to the game and would like to rent a golf cart and start playing. The worker was extremely disrespectful and was permitted to act in such a manner in front of the owner. First he tried to deter us from playing by telling us that golf is EXTREMELY dangerous and we could die by getting hit in the head by a golf ball. When we told him we understand the risks but would still like to play he resorted to refusing us the ability to PAY to rent a golf cart. Out of the blue he threw out completely unwarranted assumptions about us that we were partiers and would probably crash the golf carts into trees or one another. We calmly tried to reason with them saying "Look we just want to play some golf, we won't break anything, we all have G licenses, we can drive. Can we please just rent a cart and play?" They said we could play but we could not rent a cart as they were not willing to assume the risk. Needless to say we felt demeaned to have to endure that level of disrepect in front of other patrons and just left. Luckily for us we found Turnberry golf. They treated everyone with the common decency that any human being deserves to be treated with regardless of race, age, gender, or other discriminatory grounds. This place should be shutdown for human rights violations. Living in a beautiful country such as Canada filled with such nice people, this was the first time in a long time we have experienced discrimination.

Decent course, well maintained for what you pay, no complaints here about the course itself. The issue our group encountered is that we were booked at 7:00pm (to play all 12 holes), informed mid-day that we were pushed back to 7:20pm, and then cut off after the 8th hole because "it was going to get dark in 10 minutes." Based on the later tee time, we were aware in advance that we would likely flirt with golfing in the dark but we assumed there would be no issue with this because a) we were booked at 7:00pm and b) we were pushed back even later. If this was going to be a problem, why book us at all? Why not let us know this would be a problem in advance and offer us a tee time on another day? There were multiple groups cut short, including one after ours. As this is a "cheap" course, we didn't ask for money back or anything like that, but this is unprofessional and no one among our group is going to come back. Anyone considering booking a late tee time at Derrydale should be aware that they stack bookings tight in the evening and they will not hesitate to stop you short of playing out the holes you paid for.

This is a great little course. It is kept in tremendous shape and plays very fair. I think it particularly helpful if you are working on your short game or just don't have the time for a full 18. Staff are great - helpful and friendly.

Derrydale use to be a nice 18 hole course. Since they sold property and brought it down to a 12 hole course its gone downhill. Way too many short par 3s and overall condition is subpar at best. Paid $50 for a cart and 12 holes. The staff are nice but im paying$50 to hopefully use all my clubs and for overall condition not service. probably wont go back.

This a great course for good practice of your short game. It's 12 holes and you should be able to finish in 2 hrs or even less. It can get congested and people who play here are typically slow. Late evenings have been best for me.

It's a great little course to work on your short game. I have been here twice with my 8 year old son. It's a perfect place for him to learn how to golf. Seems to be fairly busy each time we've gone. Some elevation changes so can be tough for seniors to walk. I find it interesting that there is 12 holes.

Beautiful old course with lots of mature trees, a couple of fun water hazards and enough challenge to make it interesting. It's 12 holes (yes, 12) because they've sold off some land over the years. I hope the remaining 12 holes stay untouched!
