Always the best !!

Beautiful area to stop by and play golf.

Course was far too packed. Waited 15-20 mins on every tee box. Frustrating to pay a no-show fee for a player who couldn't make it because he was called into work one hour prior to tee off

Great 9 hole course for anybody looking to try golf or go for a quick round. Farthest hole is 275 with many short range options. Incredibly forgiving, no sand traps and long fairways. Try mount doug golf course for a under 2 hour round.

Nice little par three. They have improved it since I was there 3 yrs ago

Great golf course with wide open fairways making it a great place for beginner golfers or if you often hit balls off the fairway!

Well maintained and a reasonable price. Cant beat the island life.

Beautifully maintained. FANTASTIC staff. Very wholesome easy going golfing experience. I’m a novice golfer and I feel so taken care of here. Please give Mount Doug a shot. This is an amazing 9 hole course.

A nice little executive course with short par 3's and par 4's.

Perfect little course, great price

(Translated) Rough service (Original) Rude service

Well kept par 3. Fun and challenging. 10 minutes from downtown Victoria and @ $17 for 9 holes - you won't find better value anywhere. Staff are always friendly and happy to see you.

Really like this course. Not a lot of altitude change so easy to walk and the layout is fairly simple for someone who only golfs a couple times a year.

The retarded guy is back. That's great. The course is in good shape and for $15 bucks you can't beat that. Thank god Carol wasn't there today. Props to the other girl working there ????

Great value for the money, friendly staff. Good day out.

Perfect course for all ages and skill level Some of my buddies say it's too easy but I'm the only one who had -2 and even par there. Lol

Dogs love this spot!

Greens are bit inconsistent, but overall a fun time with the bubble. Quite nice staff too

Quick easy golf course, well maintained for a 9 hole. Driving mats are a deterent.

Well kept grass, very open. When you book as less than a 4some you will get grouped with strangers (which may really slow down your game). Ready ball all please!!

Nice course

This course has gone up so much in price its honestly ridiculous. To book online there is non-refundable "fee" which worked out to be 8.37$, on top of paying 24$ with a pull cart. This is not 32.37 course, there are more then dozen courses in the region I will not be returning to this course. It's shame because I been going to this course for more then 15 years. Clearly new ownership does not care, and like with everything prices have gone up!

Great value for your buck !! GREAT!! Warm up course..

Safe distancing and good covid setup. Local and good par 3 course! Thanks so much !!

Good value for what it is.

Great little course for a family rlund

Great 9-hole course for any level of golfer, some slopes. Greens aren't forgiving, good challenge. No beer cart, no hot dogs.

Probably learned how to play golf using this golf course. Used to be fun to watch the original owner kick someone off the course every time we went. Sad that hasn't happened in a long time. Good little course to practice short game. always meet new people when I golf here. Fun small tournaments as well have been had at this course

Great easy round

Pleasant course. Not too hard and good scenery

Perfect for people who want a long short course

Doug is a great guy to the The Nick Lampard Golf League.

It’s also nice course for beginners.????????????????

Having played Mt Douglas Golf Course twice a week for a number of years now makes me appreciate living on the Saanich Peninsula and having the opportunity at my age to join my friends to play this nine hole executive course with such super management and friendly staff. The course is in great shape with a variety of greens. Although most of the fairways are wide open, the sixth hole is quite a challenge where the pond or creek have devoured some of my golf balls. My friends and I will continue to enjoy this wonderful course as long as we are upright. I am very sorry that I missed the comments made by Ms Phillips without making comment. I do agree with her that “this is a lovely laid out course” but from there we departed. I cannot comprehend someone challenging an enterprise that is attempting to ensure all visitors will be safe including wearing masks until you get onto the first tee. I know there is limited staff everywhere and you must appreciate the fact that on a small operation as this first and foremost staff and customers want to be safe from the Pandemic. Unfortunately, Ms Phillips got it all wrong - Mt Doug staff have better “manners and grace” and Lindy Lovett has no reason to apologize - we think very highly of her being a person that is only trying to ensure that we all are safe and have an enjoyable round of golf…yes, Lindy we do care for you and know all the trials and tribulations you must be going through….

Such a great little golf course! Good fun for all levels.

I love this place

Great!

Short nine but well maintained and reasonably priced.

Best value in Victoria! Tons of improvements made, great 9 hole course!

Great course for the price and a beautiful area. Playing on a sunny day is one of my favorite things. Very relaxed atmosphere and the staff are wonderful

Not a full course, just executive. Well cared for. Quite wet fairways. Rental clubs are cheap in terms of cost and quality.

Chipped it in from here for a birdie. ????

Quite OK for par 3 course. Fareways are well tended but the Greens are somewhat variable

Nice fun little golf course. Friendly pro shop staff

It was a pretty course, but very small. Play moved relatively quickly, but the staff was sure to tell us to play best ball if we were slow and repeatedly asked if we had golfed before.

Great course for new golfers. Not too expensive. Easy to walk. Well maintained.

Excellent. Great staff and the course is in great condition. Weather made it A + experience.

Great little course for novice golfers

Charged me a 12 dollar cancellation fee because our third had a sudden death of a family member and couldn't go. Told the kid at the shop but he didn't care. Pretty brutal.

If you are a beginner and want practice, this short executive par 3 is a great little course. The more advanced player may not be as challenged as some courses however, that being said, this course is also excellent for practice. For the beginner this course will offer many challenges. Enjoy your round on a course where if all is going fairly smooth, you can complete the course in just over 2 hours or possibly a bit longer.

Mt. Doug Golf Course has been a staple on the Victoria golfing scene for the past 50 years for a reason - quality course, great management, and focus on customer experience. As a frequent user, I haven't seen this change even during the challenges COVID has brought to small business owners. The course management is responsible for ensuring the safety of staff and clients and have done so admirably, even trying to accommodate those few people who buy into anti-vacs/anti-mask thinking. Everyone has the right to their opinion, but no one has the right to book a tee time and then show up to berate and belittle staff because they think they can. Its good to hear people who act like this are banned because it ruins the experience for everyone around them. This course is a great place to relax and spend a few hours chasing par without having to watch the antics of the poorly behaved.

Nice easy golf course reasonably priced

Good beginner course

Best 9 hole course in Victoria.

You get what you pay for at this course. That said, good value for the price. Good beginner course.

Just wanted to state publicly that the staff at the Mt. Douglas Golf Course are not tyrannical nor rude. They have systems in place to ensure the safety of all staff, some of which are not fully vaccinated. Those patrons who chose not to abide by the rules (which continue to exist at many stores/establishments) need not visit the course. I have always enjoyed a pleasant round of golf at Mt. Doug. It is a clean and inviting course. Well maintained with rules in place for a reason when checking in and using the interior washrooms or shopping for golfing items. Attitudes need to be checked at the door and understand that most people don't support anti masking rhetoric. A little understanding goes a long way.

I have been playing at Mt Doug regularly since 1990, twice a week. The course just keeps improving with each season - the staff doesn’t need to. The course is in great shape and you couldn’t ask for nicer staff, especially for the past 3 or 4 years - they bend over backwards to accommodate. I haven’t witnessed staff being unkind to anyone but suspect if someone got surly or lippy with them, they would be within their rights to take appropriate action as it is a private course. From my experience, the staff and owners are appreciative of their golf patrons. I especially like that the website is kept updated so you know what the ground rules and conditions are before you get there. There is nothing demanded of clients that isn’t noted on the website which applies to all players so there are no surprises. The prices haven’t gone up for a few years so with the course improvements undertaken and the loss of business due to the pandemic, the increase is not out of line. I was concerned that the course may not survive the pandemic so am relieved and happy to pay a little more to keep a local business alive and well. Golfing at Mt Doug with my good friends is a favourite activity which I hope to do for many more years.

Awesome improvements to this 9 hole course. A great place for new golfers.

Great little driving range. It's reasonably priced, well maintained and clean. Friendly staff make for a pleasant environment.

Would prefer grass tees, but challenging and in great condition...

nice course for beginners but very condescending staff for whatever reason, treated like idiots... not a nice way to start a game.

Nice place for a relaxing, not too challenging game of golf. Well priced.

Horrible customer service! The lady at the front told us, a group of 4, we better be fast or she won’t let us play. Fair enough, but all tee times are booked ahead. We had a 4:30 tee off. The next group of 3 started tee off at 4:40! Ofcourse they would catch up. The lady followed us on a golf cart harassing us to hurry up. Then made a racial remark about the 1 Asian in our friend group saying “he should be the only one who knows how to golf”. Unreal. Then in case it didn’t get any worse, she came and told us “play the best ball” from now on. But we were over 1 hole ahead by hope 7. She made the experience most uncomfortable and I do not recommend this place to anyone. The only positive is the course was fun. That’s it.

The management and owner of this lovely laid out course are unfortunately bullies. They are mandating mask wearing out side even know we are now at stage 3 with no masks necessary and this is outside. The way they treat their loyal customers over many years is astounding. Very totalitarian like . Literally banned the very loyal customer over 10’years who brought in many patrons to the course. Let alone a lot of money. The fear is incomprehensible. I would highly recommend going to a more civilized golf course just down the road at The Ridge in Cordova Bay. These are not people you want to support in business they have lost their kind manners and grace. The mask wearing outside has killed a few hundred brain cells forsure! Lindy Lovett is a tyrant.

Nice to see the benches back

Mount Doug Golf is a great little course suitable for everyone. If you're a very good golfer there's not much here to challenge you and you can do 9 holes in an hour depending on traffic in front of you. For the other 95% of us, it's forgiving enough that you might even finish your game with the same ball! It's easy enough to make you believe you can par or birdie most holes and challenging enough to make you wonder how those single & double bogies keep happening. All in all Mount Doug is my favourite course to play.

We have golfed at this course many times over the years and also more recently during Covid. We have always found the staff and management extremely friendly, courteous and helpful and have been very impressed with their Covid practices to keep both staff and patrons safe. At this time, with their ongoing mask requirements, they are simply attempting to continue to keep us all safe until everyone who wishes a second vaccine has had the opportunity to get one. It is definitely not too much to ask to put on a mask from check-in to the first tee and show some respect for the people around us. I appreciate the efforts made by the club management during this challenging time. The course is always in great shape, a pleasure to play and very well run by management. Highly recommend for a fun round of golf!

Love this course

Such a lovely, well kept course.

It's a great course for the price. The greens are a little rough but there's 4 par 4's and a couple of longer par 3's.

The office and groundskeeping staff are terrific: friendly and welcoming. The course staff have continued to work diligently on maintaining this most enjoyable 9-hole course. In a time when golf courses are closing or priced beyond the average golfer, this course serves as a lovely respite from the hectic world of today. Bravo Zulu to everybody at Mount Doug Golf Course.

Cant beat this course for the cost!

Small but challenging course

Great place to improve your short game. Friendly staff. Course is in good condition.

Very professional and manicured play

Perfect sized course. Good prices and friendly staff.

The front desk staff are always friendly. Course is well maintained and has improved this year. Always a joy to play here!

The grounds are in great condition. Nice mix of par 3 and 4.
