Nice mountain resort so close to downtown Victoria This resort is located only 15 min away from Victoria’s inner harbour. Still under development, the resort offers a full size golf course, a health centre with swimming pool and spa, walking and biking trails all around the resort. MT. Findlayson is within walking distance to the resort. Driving down the resort to Victoria, you can stop to see the Pacific Ocean and Mt Olympic in Washington State. The coffee shop inside the resort offers a decent selections of groceries and really good coffee. Highly recommend!

Disappointing food. Great setting and personable wait staff but food arrived cold and had to be remade. It would have been nice for everyone in our foursome to have dinner together. The 2% reduction in the bill was inadequate for a supposedly better resort.

Great venue, had Xmas Eve dinner here. The dinner menu was only a 1/5 though. Bisque was amazing, turkey was a roll, and portion was light. (Had to hit MacDonalds on the way home) Dessert was the biggest disappointment. For $400 you can do much better, even during a pandemic. I do have to add that the ambience and service pushed this to a 2.

Went to Jack's with my girlfriend and her mom. I had not been there for a few years, but they frequent this Restaurant for lunch. They always raved about it. We met there yesterday 26th of November 2018. Service was very slow despite the place being almost empty. We eventually got our drinks, then order was taken. The ladies had chicken strips with soup. Simple. I ordered a battered halibut burger and fries. My experience in the food business tells me this order could have been cooked and plated in under 10 minutes at most. Only a deep fryer involved, right? Took just over 25 minutes to get our food despite only 2 other tables in house. The chicken strips were mediocre quality frozen product but priced as if hand made. Soup was okay. Presentation was lame. Bowl of soup, 4 strips beside. No garnish and served with run of mill plum sauce. No effort here. My burger was good but fries were cold and chewy. Nice fresh bun but not much fish at 17 dollars. Kinda lame for such a nice venue.

Was quiet Good service Had only a glass of wine, but enjoyed the cozy lounge with warm fireplace
