Love golfing here. A step up in quality from places like Mt Doug & Metchosin, but not a difficult course by any means.

I played on the course 25 January for first time and last time , the club house staff was nice and the practice green and greens was good but that is were it ends the fairways were terrible sinking up and over my shoes in almost everywhere on the fairways. I seen players with knee high rubber boots playing a lot better than my wet feet from sinking over top of my golf shoes. For a Sunday it was not very busy , I ought to have realize it was a mistake by the lack of cars in the parking lot. The course layout was blaaaaa nothing just plain. I use a power cart stayed on the cart paths or it would have been worse experiences. I paid too much to play this course very poor value for your money; stay away. When I return to the club house I was ask how was your game I said not good and the guy just acknowledge me and didn't ask why so I added I won't be back and still no apologies or anything to encourage me to change my mind.

To be fair I'm sure there're watering restrictions in Saanich, and that would account for the rather grim fairway conditions. Still I enjoy the open fairways and some long holes. However, being more expensive than Cedar HILL and in much worse condition, I prefer, at this time of year, my own course.

For everybody who wants to go there : be patient and tolerant whith golfers and their beers... a lot of golfers have totaly no ethic of golf, no respect for the others. They take so long to play that you will need 5 hours for playing 18 holes and more if you don't give up on the two last holes because it's toooo long. We had a forsome after us. They hit their ball really close to us. We were waiting for the forsome before us... too long too. We let the group pass before us and what they did after was nice: counting the feet on the green!! Speaking really loud, drinking and laugh about us who wait for them! Drove me too crazy to go there again in week-ends. And don't play between fairways because someone will steal your ball! Got enough about this kind of players. But the good for this place is the staff. They are very kind. Good luck for anyone who wants to play there!

Few hazards and flat terrain make this course easy to walk and very forgiving. The fairways and greens were all nice, however, most tee boxes were in rough condition. Also the clubhouse does not offer much in terms of food or snacks.

Went to this course to get a quick round in before dinner. To say I was disappointed was an understatement. The general service of staff at the course was excellent. I arrived off the street and they were able to find me time quickly. Once on the course it is another story. Once off the tee, you will find hard fairways that feel as if they have never been watered. The rough...well...lets just say it was REALLY rough. I have played at other courses and this is by far one of the worst courses to go on. If you like playing off of concrete in the summer months then feel free to play this course. It has so much potential but it seems there is either no greens keeper or not a very good one. Either way, this course is not for the better player. Got down the street to Glen Meadows for a slightly better experience. Liked: Service, weather Disliked: Fairways, greens, slow play

An enjoyable course to play with challenges for both the beginner & experienced golfer. Inside staff are pleasant and accommodating while outside staff work hard to keep the course in good playable condition. Much has been done to improve the course conditions over the past few years. The struggles to keep the tee boxes in top shape speak to the popularity of the course. Reasonably priced for 9 or 18 holes.

June 12, 2019 - 6:34PM Tee Time Booked a 6:34PM tee time online and was unable to book any sort of power cart or push car. I called immediately after and spoke to someone on the phone who told me that there would be no problem and 2 power carts would be ready for our tee time. We arrived and after speaking with the employee he told us that there was no way that anyone would have promised a cart because they do not rent carts after a certain time as per course policies. I told him there was nothing on the website or posted anywhere in the shop and he shrugged his shoulders and said well that's the rules. I asked him why someone on the phone would have said that and he again shrugged his shoulders and said there was no way that a power cart could be rented because the shop would be closed and no employees there to put the equipment away. After the round, there were still 4 groups out after us and 2 of them had power carts. The employee I spoke to was still in the clubhouse and the shop/restaurant was still very much open. I have been golfing at Ardmore for a few years now but fear now that the customer service has gone down hill. Do not expect your reservation to be honoured at this low budget, poor customer service golf course.

This place is Awesome!!! The Superintendent knocked it out of the park and the clubhouse staff are incredible. Recommend forsure, gotta check it out! Be back as soon as possible. Thanks Fellas!!!
