To this day this firm receives a rating of 4.4 over 5 and that rating was based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that it has an average rating is quite high, and it's based on a high number of scores, so we may think that the rating is quite accurate. If there are many people who bothered to evaluate when they've done well, it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to write tatings when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Golf corresponds to the category of Golf course.
Course was in great condition for Spring! The Staff are always fantastic too.
It's become too expensive for what you get and I'm not a fan of the course layout especially all 3 finishing holes.
A very good golf course with several sets of tees that will challenge all levels of players. 27 holes in total. The greens are always in fabulous condition. Great practice facility for working on all levels of your game. Nice, modern clubhouse to kick back, relax, and enjoy some food and beverages. Will certainly be back.
The Quarry is as challenging as you want to make it. Tee box offer the scratch golfer to a high handicapper or beginner. Fairways are generous, greens are exceptional, scenic vistas are great to enjoy. The staff are courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. This is one of the best courses the city of Edmonton has to offer. Dining is amazing with a variety of food and the views from the deck is spectacular. I have played this course numerous times this year and each opportunity meets new challenges.
The course was in amazing shape. Unbelievable service. A true gem.
gorgeous course, its pricey but excellently maintained!
One of the most consistent courses in edmonton and surrounding area. The staff are respectful. The course is usually very we'll kept. If there are issues they are quick to fix them (I've golfed a lot here). My only negative is the marshals don't push the pace of play. Been stuck behind numerous groups that hit from the very back tees but can barely hit the ball. Or guys taking 4-5 drives off the tee boxes. I wish the marshals would enforce proper pace of play. A couple rounds pushed 5.25 hours in the middle of a weekday.
Definitely one of the nicer courses around Edmonton; 27 holes in impeccable condition, and a large, beautiful clubhouse. Deceptively hard, too - most holes are open vistas and look like an easy straight line, but errant shots here get absolutely swallowed by the rough. It's hard to get too depressed though, the course is so scenic - and when you're first driving up to the parking lot, the view from that first crest over the hill is breathtaking.
A very beautiful golf course that is challenging for all abilities. There are 5 different tee box set to play from. At this time, the course is in excellent condition with greens and tee boxes in beautiful shape....maybe the best shape of all courses in the Edmonton area.
The photo is from above and away of the course towards the river. However... as an avid golfer and fan of any track with minimal trees, the Quarry is a gem. Hell of a practice facility too. 3 nines keep your attention if you get a chance to experience all three. It’s weird having a sentence with the number as is and then in spelling form. Anyway
The Quarry is a beautiful course. 3 nines for variety is a real bonus if you go often. But for the level of facility it aims to be (high end public play) I was disappointed to see the traps were not raked recently. With Covid protocols I thought a quick drag of traps was a daily maintenance item. It is at my course. These had maybe been done 2 or 3 days ago.
Great course, a bit slow 4 1/2 hour round - but overall not to bad and a beautiful day. Thought it weird the starter was no longer wearing a mask and not adhering to a proper distance. I understand maybe he's been vaccinated but not everyone golfing has been.
Let's start by saying that this course has a great layout and is quite challenging. The previous time I visited Edmonton I really enjoyed playing it. But this time I saw some issues. On the practice green before the round, I noticed that there was tire track damage all over the green - clear putt affecting indentations on the green. I thought that maybe some idiot in a quad had come down in the night and drove on the green. Saw the same kind of damage on the first hole, and a few other holes. Figured out later that it was the maintenance staff doing it, I saw them doing it. I complained to one about it and he said that they drive their big green maintenance vehicles on the greens all the time. So if you like putting through tire tracks this is the course for you. Personally, I would not go back here unless they correct this practice and keep the maintenance vehicles off the greens.
Great layout! Great condition! You won't be disappointed playing here!
One of the best around Edmonton
I do love this course. I was a member for a few years, enjoyed the men’s league, great food and one of the best course designs in Edmonton. Great staff. However, I’m sad to see parts of the course overrun by low maintenance. Although the greens roll well, they have become quite slow, and the beautiful waste bunkers have all grown in to a point that if you got into them, it’s now a lost ball. (Ironstone #4 in particular) A wonderful Les Furber design element that is now completely lost to weeds.
Get this.. This place is THE quarry, no other, none other and never will be. THE one and only quarry on earth, right here in front of you. Feast your eyes.
By far the nicest public golf course you will find in the Edmonton area. They give you 27 incredible holes of golf, fantastic practice area (grass driving range), beautiful clubhouse and the scenery is spectacular. Bring your 'A' game and a couple of extra balls - this is definitely NOT a beginner's golf course.
Just played here today. I am from BC, which is full of nice courses, and was afraid I wouldn't be able to find a similar experience after moving to Edmonton. The Quarry is top notch. The conditions were near perfect (better than many places I would play back home). It was a little slow, but I was a single and it was a holiday so that's pretty standard. I was unsure about the idea of a 27 hole course, but if anything, I think I will want to go back and play the 9 I didn't get to play today! Staff was friendly, GPS on the carts was accurate, practice facility was clean and well kept, course was challenging but fair, with consistent but difficult greens. Will definitely be back soon.
Every time I have been here the course has been in great condition and the pace of play has been very fast. The restaurant was ok.
Beautiful golf course. Love going here with my dad to golf and honestly think it’s the best city golfing u can get in edmonton. The food is ok but the course is just breathtaking. Would totally recommend to anyone who likes golf
Great place for walking and enjoy a nice sunrise
Pristine course. Tons of fun and great value.
One of Edmonton’s top good courses. The property is really special, hard to believe you are still in city limits.
Good variety and challenges. Good pace of play. Nice course and area. Good service.
Great course in good shape, green fees are a little steep but you get what you pay for in quality.
27 holes very challenging.
Breakfast. The service was truly great! The food, not impressed. My tomatoes where cut one or two days before - they were dead ????. Everything about the food was average. They have everything to get a 5 star every time. I will review in the future. Beautiful view! Still worth coming with friends.
It's my first to play golf.. Surprise! Anyway the place is so nice and huge place.. A nice day of golfing, see the goose the up hill area, so, so nice.. Beautiful..
Hard course, but I loved it. Would love to come back some day. Only thing was- it gets windy down in the ravine. Still one of the best courses I’ve played thus far in my 2 years of golf.
Great staff. Fantastic experience. It was my first time playing there but won't be my last.
Beautiful course in great condition. Highly recommended
We had a cart that didn't work got it replaced for another one that didn't work . The staff are rude and don't care . DId not care for the issue of the cart and said that it's been a ongoing problem this year and they can't do anything about it .They should have compensated us with something .
Course is in great shape, good pace of play.
Great driving range on grass. No mats. Excellent putting green.
Wow....first time out and it beat me up pretty good. Challenge accepted and I will be back to try to shave some shots off. Loved the greens and course is in great shape.
Good spot, friendly staff.
One of my favourite courses in the Edmonton Area! Each of the nines provide some interesting challenges. The staff are great and the course has always been in excellent condition!
A beautiful golf course on this side of the mountain courses. Tucked away in northeast Edmonton. Amazing vistas, great layout and in very good shape despite the prolonged rain. Didnt get a chance to visit the club house. I certainly will next time. Best shape for a golf course I have played in Edmonton area this year.
Still great course! Very challenging. --------- Beautiful course. It's very challenging. Stay on the fairway or bring a lot of balls. The greens are in great condition. Good food and great staff.
Just left from here abouts for a trail run. Had a blast. Sorry I didn't take bushwacking photos but did take a photo when reached the top ❤️
Perfect venue for a wedding. As wedding photographers we see a lot of venues and the Quarry is now one of our favourites. The staff are extremely helpful and make sure that everyone is looked after. There is an option for an outdoor or indoor ceremony lots of room for your guests and the food was outstanding. We would highly recommend considering having your wedding at the Quarry.
What a shame. We played The Quarry Slate/Ironstone course yesterday and were so shocked at the condition of the greens and fairways. We have always looked forward to playing here as they have had the best, fasted greens in town for years. It looks like they got hit bad with winter-kill. this winter. The course is still very playable and the greens were still quick. The greens are unpredictable now just because of the damage. The fairways are patchy, and dried out, at least the ball rolls out for miles. Hopefully they will recover as the summer progresses.
The first thing that was.
Oct 15 round... Super cold and windy, but the course was great. Thanks to the staff!
Great patio. Love the granite-ironstone combination. But 27 holes, so many options. Great food and beverage. Chef Alvin brings the fire. Great greens. Great people. We’ve been here 100x. We will be back 100 more. #fourjackpodcast
Always an amazing time when ever I come here, staff is amazing, head pro Dan Philpott is just a legend and Julia Mercuri runs the food and bev like a top, and the atmosphere is amazing. I got married here in 2017 and it really was a perfect night!
The course was in great shape and challenging.
Tough coursebutfun.
Very good golf course must do again
Great place . Very clean and organized . Tough course in the wind
Beautiful course in great shape. Will definitely be coming back again!
Great course
We played Granite and Slate. The course condition is excellent. The greens are really good shape the only thing is people should fix their ball marks and not dragging their feet on the green. Course layouts are great with elevated tee box and undulating fairway with unforgiving side rough fescue, so keep your ball on the fairway. Hole #9 on Slate will test your accuracy know your club distance. Overall great course, all golfer should try this course out.(a bit pricey)
Course was almost perfect always a challenge
Course is immaculately maintained as always..
Although early in the season, the course was in great shape. They staff are very friendly and proffesional. By far one of, if not the top public course in the area.
Loved it ! A great test of golf. Granite 9 was my favorite
Great golf course fast greens great staff
Like the range, no mats. Nice setting near the N. Sask River.
Excellent challenging golf course. Friendly and attentive staff. Always pleasant to visit.
Nice course, driving range and nice big practice putting green. A bit pricey for a round and they don't change grips on clubs. That would be nice if they did have someone there to change grips!
The course is in great shape but unfortunately the pace of play is slow. For a course with 27 holes it seems to be poorly managed with getting people out and around in a reasonable time. Had a tee time for 8:30 and was delayed starting due to the number of groups trying to get started on the first tee. The round itself took 5 hours due to slow play. This could have been managed if they had a course Marshall out to keep the pace on time. A 8:30 tee time should never take that long to complete. For $100.00 I can find other courses in the Edmonton area where the pace of play is actually managed. Very disappointing for such a nice course.
If you like putting through geese droppings you will love this course. The greens are getting better and once the hot weather comes should be back to perfect. Cart girls did a great job in keeping us from getting thirsty.
Awesome place to go for a round
Overrated and poor service
Played this course today. Great shape. What I love is they don't bunch tee times together so your rushed unlike most courses, Everybody is nicely spread out. It is $100 a round but you get water, gps cart electric cart, and treated like a somebody there by somebody bringing a cart to you. Most courses are around $80 with a cart but I recommended going to this course since it's a 27 hole course.
Nice course, awesome carts, fairways and greens good but they are letting weeds grow into their very large (in some cases) waste bunkers. Not something I go into a lot but very disappointing and puts an ugly blemish on the course.
My favourite public course in Edmonton and Area. Well maintained and excellent staff!
One of the best courses in Edmonton. The holes are challenging and well thought out. The greens and fairways have always been in excellent condition, and the views from some of the higher tee boxes are great.
Course is in great shape.
the club house staff were excellent - we were behind a another tournament that was late getting off the course and there were no carts so had to wait for them which made us late for our tee off and then the marshals on the course were brutal - we were playing texas scramble and we even missed 3 holes and they followed us around the whole course telling us to hurray up :(
Excellent conditions and pricing is fair. Will definitely be returning.
Went there with 8 people and did 18 in 4hra exactly and was still told multiple times by the Marshall that we were going to slow and the staff could care less...nice course but definitely don't like being rushed
This is one great course,27 holes, this course by its very design dictates a need for good club selection as more than a few holes can punish you for hitting the wrong club. That said it's a fun track to play with all three nines ending with very nerve racking layouts, shoot a lower score here and you'll know you got game
Course looks great. Sadly still no ball washers at the holes or on the carts. No beer cart put was disappointing.
amazing corse
Seriously what a great course. 3 nines to choose from and all 27 in great shape. We moved along nicely. Great value and top notch service. Love this course and it's many options.
Restaurant: Excellent meals. Staff are very personable and do a great job!
Great course, but has some design flaws and maintenance issues. The grass is far too long close to the greens, making an up and down very difficult. As well, the fescue is too punishing in that, should your ball wander a yard from the fairway, it is unfindable. The 2 par 5's that are on the lower 9's are very poorly designed.
Awesome course.
Wow....course is in tip top shape! Golf was excellent and food was top notch. Good job!
The greens are a little rough
We just used the Quarry for our wedding and I cannot say enough amazing things about the venue itself, the planning process, the service and the food. Julia was a dream to work with and helped me out every step of the way. We consistently had comments from our guests about the quality of the food being exceptional (and we agreed!). the service was prompt and professional, and the venue itself is stunning. we are so glad we used them as our venue!
Beautiful course. Highly recommend.
One of the nicest courses I've played on. Beautifully maintained . Proshop staff and f&b staff were amazing. Definitely worth the price.
Great facility. Great staff, great food, and great golf. One of the premier golf courses in Edmonton.
Awesome golf course! Today was very windy and tough to play. A lot of the long holes were into the wind. I'll be back!!
Really nice but tough course. Loves to eat golf balls
Best course in the city, always in immaculate condition!
Beautiful golf course. A lot of challenging holes which require some thought. Only one bad thing about it. I like to have a few beers on the course while I golf, and these guys won't give out beers in a bag of ice. (Apparently algc requires all beers sold to be opened up on sale). So when it's 30 degrees outside and you see a cart girl 2 times in 18 holes that means there's a lot of warm beer drinking. Even worse there's many holes with no beers at all! Not my kind of golf. If you don't drink beer, then this would be an awesome course
Overall a great course to play. Wide fairways and large greens. Staff were great and the rate of play was not rushed. The only complaint is the group behind us blaring their radio and the marshal doing nothing about it. I expected more from a high end course.
Have been waiting years to play here, finally did it and I don't want to play anywhere else. Such a great and creative course
Great facility and team! Can’t wait for next season!!
Course is in great condition, staff is friendly. One of the more expensive public courses in the Edmonton area. Was not pleased with the round taking over 5 hours to play. Would consider playing course again, but would look for day and time for quicker play.
The Quarry is widely acknowledged as one of the Premier golf courses in Northern Alberta. Challenging, especially the Granite side. Always an exceptional golf experience. BTW, try the great nachos apres golf.
It ate me up and spit me out into the pond.
Golfing was horrible, weeds everywhere. Food and Morgan the server was amazing. Would go back to eat!
Course is in good shape.
Great track in fantastic shape. Excellent practice facility
Even with the heat, the course is good condition not burnt up like others in Edmonton. Definitely some challenging holes from beginner to handicap golfers. Would recommend of you want to spend the Extra money as the pace of play is okay as we went early in the morning but by the the time we got to the back 9 started to have to wait. I can see that being a problem in mid morning t afternoon on weekends being a problem and paying over $100 in Edmonton you shouldn't have to worry about that
I paid $107 to play this course, which is expensive in Edmonton, but worth the money if it's in fantastic shape. A few weeks ago I played the granite; the fairways were poor, and the greens were horrendous, especially considering the price of playing this course. Once we made the turn to play the back 9 they overbooked tee times to the point that there were THREE teams of four in front of us, piled up, and waiting. A bit fed up, we went to the clubhouse to ask for a raincheck on the back 9 and told them about the conditions on the front. All the guy had to say was "yeah, I know". I don't know how this course can charge people $107 for a round when they know the course is in such bad shape and then on top of that, overbook it so badly that you would be forced to play a five and half hour round. I do not recommend this course.
Good condition and a 4 hour round.
