You know that we don't usually stop to set feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Golf belongs to the category of Golf club.
Hidden jewel in the valley and it is great shape already this year
Great course on the river. Great staff.
$93, course is under construction, greens are in rough shape, golf carts brakes didn’t work, the marshall was unprofessional. Don’t come to the course without a discount.
Do yourself a favor and save your money this year. Nothing said to us before teeing off that the greens are horrible. By far the worst greens I have ever played on. It's like dead grass and patches of carpet. And yet they make you pay full price for a round. Add 3 strokes to each hole just for putting
Very green and beautiful views of the river and forest.
Very scenic river valley golf course with some great views of the north saskatchewan river. Usually very busy, so book your tee time early in the week. Recommend a Country club tour membership, as this will save you a lot of money.
Covid 2s. Would return for sure
This course is not worth $90 .You can play jagre ridge for close to the same price and its a much better coarse. This is on par with 60 a round
Goat track - played Father's Day and given ideal location and price, was sorely disappointed. Bang for buck this is hands down the poorest course I've played in Alberta. I've played many course on par with the level of disrepair - but for a third the price. The list of complaints is too long so top 3: No evidence of maintenance performed anywhere. Service/organization non existent (had to interrupt Pro desk gal's texting just to pay), music playing on every other golf cart... 5 hour round on a literal goat track. Memorable for all the wrong reasons.
It is a very friendly place, the members, pro shop and the staff. The course is quite difficult with water coming into play on several holes. Personally I will play here as often as I can.
Pathetic service, thinks 1 person team is taking longer then 4.
Decent golf course. Nothing spectacular - i go for convenience
Course in tough shape given all the rain we've had. Must not be watering either. Tee boxes are like second base!! Fairways like pavement
Not bad, not great. Decent course for the money if you're a CCT member.
we only play this when its on a Special or weekday price. That being said, this course is always a good round, great scenery on front 9, its my go to when its on a good price!
Nice course, good mixture of greens and very nice layout. Very enjoyable.????
Great course to play for the average golfer! Great value and will definitely play again!
Nice condition
Putting greens need time to get back into shape. Over all great course.
Finally! A golf course where the beer & snack cart is constantly making the rounds! We saw the friendly beer cart girl about 4 times in 18 holes! What a welcome change from so many courses where the cart is rarely around. Thanks River Ridge for doing it right!
Good course, long because 9. Recommend a power cart.
Course is very nice. There are areas that have been mucked up a bit. Due to heavy rain falls. The course is quite narrow. If you're not too great at golf (like me). Be prepared to lose a few balls. Over all I enjoy the course. I played it for the first time. Ended up being rained out after 9. Will update again when I complete the full course.
This golf course is the most well known for the the lowest greens in Alberta. Putting on the greens here like putting on broccoli.
Played here 2 weeks ago, and regrettably gave it another chance this week. If you essentially don't have greens at all...how do you not mention something let alone charge full rate? Complete joke. At the start of the second round I played I asked the starter about the condition of the greens. He mentioned the 3 greens that were re-sodded (which were also still grown long) but said otherwise it was pretty good. There was not one single green that I would consider remotely "pretty good". Too many courses in our backyard for me to consider going back here ever again. the least you could do is mention the condition, especially when asked. I would recommend going anywhere but here as it doesnt appear the conditions are going to be better anytime soon.
(Translated) A good place to practice (Original) 연습하기 좋은 공간
A really nice track to play. Some thinking is involved in playing the course aka Course Management skills recommended. You just can't sit back and bomb away. I have played the front nine only....Have been recommended to play the back as well.
Poor service.

Great course for the right price. You get a $10 coupon for your next round.
Not worth the price. Greens are rough with a lot of repaired areas and uneven mowing. The 7th is downright dangerous as I was narrowly missed by several balls while in the middle of the fairway playing my second. Nets anyone. Was warned by a Marshall about where to drive the golf cart even though there were no signs or ropes directing cart traffic. I’ve seen several posts about enforcement of rate of play, however we were not as lucky as the foursome in front of us were terribly slow. Too bad, the lay out is interesting. *** Thank you for responding. There’s a huge difference between the status quote and making a deliberate effort to improve. Sounds like you’re trying. Good for you.
Great course with plenty of water hazzards
Look up goat track and they have a picture of this course! After you have been fleeced with a $93.45 green fee, you get to experience greens that haven't been cut in two days, rough that eats everything close to the edge of the fairway, tee boxes on a slop with no grass and hard as concrete. Turn a soup bowl upside down and stick a flag on it , these greens are ridiculous. Worst value for money I have ever had BRUTAL!
One of better values for golf in the Edmonton area, it's a longer course with plenty of water to deal with. Definitely stop in after the round for a burger and fries.
Course is in great shape and challenging, especially on the front nine. There are deals during the week.
Nice course, recommend using a golf cart
They are really friendly and thryake you feel welcome even if you don't know how to golf at all ????????
Good course. Reasonably priced if you golf on weekdays
Friendly and unpretentious service, very nice driving range and the course is a very pleasant experience.
Condition of the course is embarrassing, to be honest. 1st time this year, but we've enjoyed it in years past. 3 of our 4some are CCT members and brought a 4th to take advantage of 'guest rate'. Almost felt guilty at what he had to pay for this track even at guest rate. 9th hole has heavy equipment parked on fairway with weeds growing around it. Greens are worst I've played on this year Come on guys, be better.
Was good golf,so work to be done on the Green
Has great potential, but until they get better at taking care of the course it will just be average and over priced. Fairways and greens are patchy. Some nice par 5's, but again course maintenance has to step up.
First time in 2yrs. Being on the course was great.
Great course
Got to play a scramble today. I've played here several times and really like the course. Playing along the river this time of year is really nice (late summer). Staff is friendly.
Nice course, great scenery, great value. If you really want to play a round of golf without waiting on every hole, you need to pay a little more money and go somewhere else, to get a true "hassle free" round of golf. They book too many tournaments, and place them in the middle of public play. The pace is incredibly slow without a Course Marshal in site (Monday afternoon !!) The golf carts are so old that both carts in our foursome ran out of power after 9 holes ,and we had to exchange carts to make it to the back 9. If they paid a little more attention to detail, this course could shine as a hidden gem in the City of Edmonton.
Greens a little rough but for the most part this time of year can't ask for to much at least your playing
One of my favourite places to golf
Good course, very pretty. Plus, OUT OF LOCKDOWN! Beer cart! Greens are rough, but it is early in the year.
Wow! Very pretty, but my least favorite out of the 5 from CCT. So much of the course was flooded due to heavy rainfall during the week, yet they still charged almost $60 for 9 holes for my son who doesn't have a membership. Be wary of stray balls, from the driving range, at hole 7.
Challenging coarse, especially in the wind but very enjoyable. Soft but fast greens. Fair price. All in all, great day
(Translated) about 90 bucks on a weekend 78 per week It is too expensive, but when purchasing a membership card You can do rounds with carts for $40. (Original) 주말 대략90불 주중 대략78불 너무 비싸다 하지만 멤버쉽카드를 구매시 40불대로 카트포함 라운딩을 할수있습니다
The greens are in rough shape this year. Hopefully they turn around but putting was more like Plinko than golf.
Great little course with a very challenging and technical front nine but more of a straightforward back nine.
Pace of play on a Tuesday afternoon was good. However, the greens are in the worst shape I've ever seen for a CCT course. The course is beat up with all the traffic on it daily so maintenance is sub par. Not worth the price of admission
Honestly, I think the course condition far exceeds the previous years, you get what you are paying for. We can't be asking the best quality out of this course when you are only paying 50 bucks to play 18 holes WITH the cart. My opinion only, no offence to anybody, just trying to be fair.
Not in very good condition for the price
Nice golf course ????
Solid course and a fair price. Only complaint is hole 7 fairway. Hard to shoot with range balls peppering down all around you.
2nd time my golf cart died on this course in as many rounds. Much of the course path ways under construction. Has great views and lots of potential but seemingly they never will realize it
It's pretty soaked with all the rain Edmonton has been having. Greens were not in great shape. Staff were really good.
Great golf course! Friendly staff, great food!
I am very disappointed in the shape of this course. The rates are way too expensive for the shape this course is in this year. Weeds are growing out of the traps, greens in terrible shape ... And done get me started on the tee box on 7....
Nice public golf course ???????? with a driving range, and lots of space to practice chipping and putting including a practice sand pit ????. Check out pro shop for cool discounted (while promotion lasts) gear ????????
Sunny, bright and big ☀
Great course! Love golfing here!
Very good food
Greens are great. Club house staff is great and the young people running the pro shop is exceptional.
Best golf course in the city
Good shape. Good for all handicaps
My gem
Golfed here a week ago. Wish we hadn’t
I love this course, great layout and beautiful river valley setting. But, golfed here today and it wasn't in great shape terrible tee boxes and really rough damaged greens. Not worth full price. Have golfed 2 other courses in the last 2 weeks that are in great shape. Addendum: 5 stars : golfed here again in late July and it was in excellent shape. Also, really great food on the patio after the round
Very nice staff, decent course
Great local public course!
it is beautiful great place for quiet time
Great condition good course
I do not recommend this course. The marshal was cold, rude and unwelcoming. It immediately ruined the mood of the day and we hadn't even started. As a group of four we were told to "hurry up" and not cause traffic for our round. I'd like to point out that at this point there were 3 carts in front of us still waiting for the second hole. Why is there so much pressure on paying customers to "hurry up" when the logistics team running your booking system should be the ones in charge of ensuring limited traffic? Over booking to make more money is not my fault, it's your organizations. We play at normal speed every time and have never had an issue at other courses. By the sixth hole, the same marshal pulled us over and began to legitimately yell at us for not following a sign we had passed with our carts. We should not have driven our cart in that area I totally acknowledge that. I respect the grounds and it was an honest mistake. However, being yelled at was incredibly disrespectful and totally uncalled for. It completely ruined the entire day for us and we were in shock of how we were spoken to by an employee of this course. I will never drop another dollar at this golf course and I advise you do the same. There are so many great courses in Edmonton with actual adults working there who treat each other with respect.
Great location, and fair price with the CCT card. Although pace of pay is generally very slow and the course is not in good shape; granted the weather this year has been difficult. The greens are subpar and tee boxes are very sloped. Could be a very good course but needs work.
We finished our 18 hole round in 3 hrs 26 min and was told we were slow and to speed it up! We were playing a consistent game, not looking for balls, and staying on our fairway. We were then told 3 hrs 15 min is expected. I ask, by what standard is this based on? We are 2 senior women and this bias towards women golfers is not acceptable. In addition, you served under-cooked sausage dogs. When I told the servers the meal was undercooked, we got an apology. How about a refund? We had to toss it! I don't recommend this course.
Employee is very rude. And green is no good.
I was there with my family and was confronted at the 3rd hole by the Marshall who told us to hurry up. Then the Marshall stood there watching us like a hawk to ensure we did not slow down the person behind us. We never finished playing since my family was discouraged to continue. What a waste of a day. Perhpas, call other placed instead if you are novice or those who you attending with are not Pros. If you have any issues, contact the managment, they are very understanding and will work with you to resove any issues.
Best course for the money in Edmonton, always a Good round at this course.
Course in good shape, could use cart upgrades seem to always get a cart with a loose front end.
Early in the season but a fun course
Great time company golf tournament
Wonderful course. Very challenging and the staff is great
Greens were rough. Seemed a bit overpriced. Good course though
Amazing course and challenging for some
Nice day~~
Good
Still always my favorite Edmonton public course!! The staff are always extremely personable and courteous. The course plays well for every level of golfer with a great mix of varying degrees of difficulty. It continues to be my "go-to" course when I want to sneak a round in.
Playing at River Ridge makes you feel like your not even in Edmonton! Great scenery, course is in great shape and the staff are super friendly!
Early season conditions, would expect it will get better with moisture.
Good bunch of people working there and great food in the kitchen
90$ mid day, during the week. Greens are like putting on gravel, dont expect to make a putt outside of 3 feet. this course should be priced at 50-55$ a round. Waste of money.
Poor conditions all of 18 holes. Staff need training for customers services.
Price is good but green is below of expectation.
If your looking for a jam packed absolutely rushed experience this is the course for you. Started off with none of the staff telling us that we are starting on the back 9. When we got to the tee box there were 3 groups already waiting ( we weren't late either). The group behind us pushed up on us the entire time while our group kept a respectable pace and distance from the group in front of us. Having the Marshall coming around eyeballing every group is the absolute worst (try booking a tiny bit further apart so the customer can at least have an unrushed experience). They are just trying to generate as much money as they can while giving you the worst experience ever. We finished in 4 hours as a group of 4 which is what it should be. Although the location is okay and easy on the eyes the back 9 was horrendously kept. An okay challenge but will not comeback nor would I recommend this place to anyone.
Best place in town for a sensational round and very reasonably priced
Every time I have been to this golf club, I found the employees to be very rude. The other golf clubs managed by the same company are always a great experience with excellent service provided by the employees, much unlike this one that always leaves me in a terrible mood due to the employees rudeness.
Very nice staff. Greens are a bit winter burn in the front but overall good experience.
(Translated) Good quality. (Original) 나름 퀄리티 좋음.
In very good condition for this time of year
Very well maintained and serviced
Nice golf course. Had a nice time with my Cameron colleagues this month (August 2018).
Nice course. The staff is amazing and prices are reasonable!
Slow players in front of us and we were not even going fast as we were a group of four and there was no presence of Marshal to fix this problem. We would had to wait about 5 minutes every tee box. Almost at the end of the our round Marshall finally shows up and in a rude manner told us we are not playing by the speed. Go fxxking tell the group in front of us.
Love this course! Travis is awesome!
Overpriced
Great course because there’s no houses nearby. Lots of bugs in the summer though and gets really mucky when theres lots of rain.
The club house food is good along with the serving Staff/Manager were really friendly ! Cource was in good shape when I have gone.
Ah, River Ridge. The beautiful river valley backdrop, the sublime swampy layout, the beautiful overlook of the back 9 onto the North Saskatchewan. It was a day to be enjoyed... Until we sat in the cart, that is. The cart needed at least $1000 in front end suspension work. Ball joints, steering guido and who knows what else. The shudder through the wheel was ever apparent and when traversing the cliff side up to the back 9, makes you question whether you will end up making the trek or down the hill in the weeds. Course conditions are questionable at best and down right destroyed and unplayable in a lot of spot. Does this course have no irrigation? Not sure. Fairway landing spot on #1 is either a giant pile of weeds or just dirt it you hit a perfect tee shot? Only saving grace was decent clubhouse staff but we didn't see a drink cart til the back 9 on a Sunday at primetime. Disgrace of a course, save your money and go to any of the 10 courses within 5-10 kilometers that far exceed this pit.
Great course tight in front nine and back is quite long.now we just need the rain to go away.
Would not go back
Course was in great shape
I've been here two times now. And it was even worst the 2nd time. Tee boxes are completely unacceptable. Fairways are equally awful and are hard as rock which seems insane considering how much it rained this year. I would recommend this course to no one. Paying 75$ for 18 feels like I was robbed.
Go to countryside instead. Greens were just horrible. The ball hopping & bouncing. They over book also. We tee'd off 45 min late then had the course Marshall ???? Telling us to pick up the pace. Where can you go. We were right behind the group in front of us. We watched her go from group to group to say the same thing. Last time I'll waste my money there.
Amazing food
Been golfing this course for a long time now. Ever since they started the CTT membership this course has gone downhill. Unfortunately, all of these courses connected to the CTT card run a “volume golf” business. Unlike other well managed courses the T times are 5 min apart. All day! So be prepared to wait through your round. This course hasn’t done much for upkeep. There adding a bunch of dirt to fill low areas that get water damage. Won’t be done anytime soon. Some staff are unfriendly. Some of the Marshalls think they are running pebble beach. Ironically, there more concerned about your cart being parked just off the side of the pavement then pace of play. Worst part of course is definitely the t-boxes. You are basically just hitting off sand. For how busy they are they don’t put much back into the course. Price is good if you have the CTT card. If you don’t, don’t bother spending your hard earned money on this rough course.
Fun course for all level of players. Some greens are understandably in rough shape with the weather but usually are in good condition
Nice greens, well maintained course, the mosquitos are awful in the river valley so go prepared and you should have a great time
Good course. Decent price. Nice views
Terrible greens. Not worth the price.
Staff was friendly, but the state of the green are horrendous. I’ve played this course in the past and it was not in that bad. I won’t be back anytime soon.
$92 for 18 is a highway robbery!!! Charging that much April 18, when half the course is under repair is atrocious! Even mid-season, I struggle to believe this is a $90 course. Can't imagine going back without some heavy discounts.
Last a few years I sometime fishing here. This year I was told this is a private property and fishing is not allowed. Something go wrong?
Terrible shape for August! Fairways are spotty at best and there might be 3 good greens out of 18!
Greens were in great conditon for early May. Dry spring made it a challenge for other courses. River Ridge was well groomed all around and had consistent quality fairways across the whole course.
Least fun I have ever had at a gold course. An average player will not have fun at this course. I feel unrewarded for hitting good shots off the tee. You will have a more forgiving lie out of the ruff because of he grass, hitting off the fairways is like hitting off a cobblestone road.
Very friendly staff and course is in fairy good shape
(Translated) Very goood (Original) Very goood
Normally a nice course but I went this past weekend and the greens are not even close to being ready. They should not be charging full price with the greens in such poor shape.
Usually our go to course as last year it had very nice greens and is closest to where we live. Went for our first round of the year and found the greens were absolutely horrible, large chunks missing, half of it is sand and its completely dry since their one and only water pump stopped working last year. No warning on their website or at the clubhouse and was still charged full price green fees. Emailed the head professional Travis Yeske about our experienc, twice now, to see if he has an explanation, with no reply. Would not pay to go back again.
It's in rough condition.
Course was in good condition, price was reasonable. Pace of play, however, was quite slow and some of the fairways are so narrow it seems unfair.
