This Golf is classified in the category of Country club.
Golfed 18 holes in about 4 hours allowing faster / smaller groups to pass when needed. The "assistant" followed us the while time telling us to hurry up & reccomending we "play the best ball" ... Paying 400$ & to be rushed like that when paying at a reasonable pace what a horrible experience having a peanut gallery watch grill you the hole time ????
Course is good but the tee times are way too close to each other. 7minutes between tee times for groups of 4 and 2. We felt rushed the whole game.
Great track, excellent value
I was sadly disappointed with Ravencrest. As part of a ladies league that is golfing at many courses over the season we get to see many other courses. So far ravencrest was in poor shape and the worst. Not to mention the most expensive. The fairways are like pastures and the greens are non existent. Some are extremly hard and have no grass. We only paid a portion of the full costs and that was too much. The other issue was parking. There wasn't any. It was all full. Sadly disappointed
Outstanding!!!
Good go to course, decently priced. Not the most forgiving on the sides though!!
Such a nice course
A great place to golf, scenic, great location. I'll be back!
I have golfed Raven Crest a number of times, and always glad I do. very reasonably priced, course is in excellent condition and very happy with the customer service. left a golf speaker behind last season which was turned in, they called to notify it was found, went out to grab it and had been misplaced, but replaced it with a brand new one. I highly recommend the course to anyone, GREAT TRACK.
Decent track. Always have a great time
Only played 9 holes but really enjoyed it. Course is in great shape. Very friendly staff. I also like the fact that after we finished playing at 20h00, the bar and restaurant were still open which has not been the case at other golf courses.
one of my fav courses in Edmonton. Come here regularly!
$47 for 9 holes at Twilight is not worth it for this course compared to other places you can golf for less. It's an easy, open course with minimal water and sand (close to none on the front 9). Distances are well marked. Staff are friendly, welcoming and the marshall is on top of things. There is an unfortunate odour though that our group couldn't figure out but it was uncomfortable at times.
Amazing course. Ken and the rest of the staff are incredible. Course was in amazing shape. Congrats on celebrating 25 yrs.
Very nice golf course. I was there for a golf tournament a few weeks ago and we had lunch at the clubhouse following the round. Great experience!
Great course, reasonably priced. Challenging yet fun
Good course
Great course
Great golf course. Friendly staff
I went for my second round of golf here this year. I enjoy this course. It's nicely laid out. Some very difficult holes, and some really cool ones. I also enjoy the driving range here. I'll definitely be back for more golf here soon, and more often.
Always nice here, a bit slow but overall not to bad. Thought it weird the starter was no longer wearing a mask and not adhering to a proper distance. I understand maybe he's been vaccinated but not everyone golfing has been.
Course is in fair shape for April...however we tee' d off at 932 and fished at 1345 which is excellent pace. I have never had course marshals so visible and present on a round in my life. I don't mind seeing them off to the side from time to time and then picking there spots to come talk about your play. These 2 guys today where at about every third hole holding a clipboard and watching us as we played the green. Very unnerving and in all my years of golfing in Edmonton this has never been the case. They where polite and respectful but seriously give the players some respect and space to enjoy there round!
Easy to find, good parking
Lovely course! Amazing staff! Love the driving range.
Excellent course conditions and friendly staff. Highly recommend.
(Translated) The composition of lawn and course is very good. (Original) 잔디나 코스의 구성이 참 좋왔음..
Always in good condition regardless of the elements. I'll be back!
Great place and good service.
Beautiful course!
Extremely disappointed, the course was in terrible shape. Had winter kill all over the fairways, greens, and tee boxes. Was baffled that they would charge their full pop of green fees (over 90$ with tax) when the course is in such bad shape. Even if the course was in decent shape, that green fee is way to much for that course. The greens were basically sand greens and the tee boxes were like mud, and they are still charging you full green fees...not impressed. Also, not great attitudes from some of the pro shop staff and grounds crew. Won’t be back, there are way better bangs for your buck around town.
Course is in great shape but hard to get a tee time.
If you like lineups & tie times 3-5 minutes apart with 3-4 people in each group, golf here. They'd rather over book & rush you then allow you to play golf.
Course is in fantastic shape! Great day of golf!!!!!!
This is my favourite course to play. If you have a CCT card it's nice and cheap, the greens are better than most courses I've been to this year and they seem to actually have decent drainage (except for hole 9). The pace backs up at hole two, but speeds up again at hole 4 or 5 and you always have shade to wait in. The back 9 is easier than the front 9. I wish they would reverse them. I bet my score would be better if hole 2 was hole 11. If you're going to walk, I'd rethink it for the back 9. Some big ole hills. Makes for interesting play though, hole 10 might be one of my favourite holes in the city.
Course is awesome! Great prices if a CCT club member but way to tough to get a tee time for early in the day! Pace was great when Covid restrictions were in place!
Currently the crown jewel in the Country Club Tour group of golf courses. The course has seen an unprecedented number of golfers this season but has held up really well. If you have an afternoon free this course is a great way to spend some time with friends golfing.
The fairways were mint!
Good course. Lots of hard holes. Can be pricey during the weekend
Busy Friday afternoon, still a 3hour 40min round. Course in Fantastic condition. What a pleasure. Great work on your golf course
Golf course is in excellent condition and very reasonably priced. Will definitely go back.
Love coming here to hit the driving range! A great relaxing and clean golf club. Prices aren't bad either
Greens very fast today. Otherwise excellent
Really nice course. Nice staff. I lost my driver on the course and they called me back asap to ensure I got it back.
Excellent and competitively priced golf course within Edmonton. The course is mature and well kept. It's especially value friendly if you have the CCT membership that gives $30-50 rates across 5 courses. Unfortunately because of covid and the popularity of membership it's very difficult to get a tee time right now.
Awesome course!! The club pro is a genius!!
Have been with Ladies League for 9 years and am sorry to say it has been the most disappointing year I have had. Feel that they do not appreciate the ladies on wednesday at all. All of our concerns have not been addressed . To many issues the worst being the new chef if you want to call him that. Serving food at year end with your bare hands is not acceptable. Many ladies are looking into going to another course and that is a shame as we love Ravencrest Golf Course. You might want to look at the loss of revenue on Wednesdays from the ladies not staying to eat because the food is not acceptable.
Amazing course. Scenic and well taken care of. Great and funny group of Marshalls. Would love to come back and play when I'm in Alberta again.
Raven Creat is always in great condition.
Nice course
Decent condition for this time of year
Very beautiful golf course with some nice views. Lots of good holes and very well maintained. Food and drinks were great as always!
Marshall was the worst I've ever experienced on a golf course, do not recommend coming here. Marshall was zipping back and forth the fairways on almost every hole on the back 9. Then we got kicked off halfway through the 17th hole because it was too dark. It was 840pm on an August summer night. I don't think I will be coming to this course again. Even as a CCT member. Marshall was also very rude for no reason.
Jacked there prices to almost $100 with cart per person now. Not worth that
Decent place for a quick round.
Ok course, good value, signs of ongoing renos and work to improve, way too many mosquitoes
Course is still in good shape.
Love this course! Friendly staff and always laid back. Course is always in good shape and price is great.
Amazing conditions
Challenging course with a nice variety of holes
Course in great shape
Staff were friendly. Only 3 stars cos we didn't see a beer cart passed the 3rd hole... Make sure you get a power cart on a hot day especially. I'm a pretty active person but was exhausted by the end walking haha. Lots of hills. Nice variety if you want it. Food at the clubhouse was good. I'm sure I'll go back but better prepared.
Just spent some time on the driving range. Lrg buckets are $10.50 including tax.
One of the best
Nice driving range
Played this course 3 times a week last year and loved it, good prices and the pace was good, ive played twice now this year and the pace is awful and the prices are way too high, 90 bucks for 18 holes is insane, for 10 bucks more I can play at the quarry which is significantly nicer.
Good service and starters and marshals with a great sense of humor.
It's a challenging golf course but a great time can be had by everyone
To busy . Very slow and greens are not good
Small greens and tight fairways. True rolling Greens
Love this course
I love it here...just heading out for a bucket of balls
Best place to golf today
A staple course in the city. Great views and a good round to play
Excellent golf course and very nice staff. Well run and professional.
Great layout. Greens and fairways are in perfect condition. Good place to check out for a round of golf.
Really nice course. Well taken care of. Not too hard or too easy. $90 for 18 holes.
Would be a more pleasant experience of you didn't have to smell the landfill
The driving range slopes away from you when you're hitting, making it hard to gauge distances and the practice green has absurd pitch, but the course is lovely. Very inexpensive buckets of balls and high quality mats.
(Translated) I am well-managed from early in the morning ^ (Original) 아침일찍부터 관리를잘하고있네요^~
Overall the course was in somewhat decent condition. Had a heavy rain the night before so no power carts on the front 9. That's fine, but unfortunately when you over book the course and have no push carts it makes for a long day. I'm a decently fit guy, but when you're walking in ankle deep water on half the fairways and no Marshall is out to enforce any rate of play, 9 holes took 3 hours with 4 fairly decent golfers. The staff could careless about the conditions so long as they make a buck. You think considering the conditions from a heavy rain and over booking they would warn or complement a free beverage or something for the inconvenience. Short of a courtesy spit, it was some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Probably never play again, which is a real shame as the course again was in fairly good shape considering
Shorter course but in good shape and well run.
Golfed today but greens are poor as well as some of the tee boxes!
Lost a star because the starter was rude and power hungry. First he insisted we move our carts up 12' just to talk with him. Went to tee off 4 min early because group ahead was on green and starter yelling telling us to wait until our designated tee time. Course was in great shape otherwise. Just the negative start to the round.
Supposedly new golf carts with no rain protection hoods on the back of the cart. This should be fixed. GPS on the carts would be a great investment as well Other than that the service is great. Friendly staff. Course is in great shape minus the waterlogged fairways. The clubhouse is very nice
Course is in great shape. Greens are fast. Has a good practice facility. New mats on the driving range, as well as a large chipping green separate from the putting green.
Always in great condition. I love the elevation changes. The mature trees lining the fairway ensure you have to stay in the fairways, but they’re cleared out nicely under the canopy if you wind up in them. Greens are always in great shape, but aren’t the toughest you’ll find due to being fairly flat. Course workers are professional and courteous to the players on course. 19th hole has some good grub and is well worth a sit down after a round.
This year 2021 has been the best shape. The greens are perfect condition and the fairway are lush like carpet. With CCT member booking is hard even tho you can book one week in advance.
Beautiful course, great place to work on the long game, not too difficult for novice golfers.
course is in bad shape only reason i play cause had country club pass. and was cheap with pass way to expensive otherwise for shape of course
Overall course is in good shape. Couple of greens need to fixed due to patches
Great club
Course is in good condition. Greens are very good. Customer service was very good.
Cassidy at the Pro Shop was wonderful. When I was done at the driving range, I headed over to the outdoor patio, the servers were great, food was delicious, thumbs up to the chef, complemented with cold beverages. Fantastic establishment, I'll be back! ????
The boy and I went for a round of golf greens are awesome awesome service good course
Nice course but expensive for what it is. The front 9 can be a death trap from people hitting on the tee where it's so narrow and treed.
Nice course, hard to book tee times.
Front 9 the grass is all dead. Including a “green” that’s pack down dirt. Marshall was very rude with 2 beginners in our group. 3rd time here and we will not be coming back.
Great shape and very challenging. Love it
I'm amazed at how great the greens are. We had a great round yesterday. Buy the golf pass. It's a goid deal.
Good luck getting a tee time, They have over sold CCT memberships and all the tee times are booked up at the 9am 7 day advanced booking.
A very nice course, and always in good shape!
Staff unkindly manner for tee time screwed up...
Good
Just went to an open house, with a free overview of your swing. The pro is great! Had great tips and was very easy going and makes you feel good about your ability (even if it's not great, lol) . I will likely be getting lessons with him
The attendant at the driving range was very inviting and willing to share his expertise. Will be back to enjoy a round of golf. My first visit. Thank you
On the second fairway the Marshall was overly aggressive and rude. Rushing us and watching us the entire hole.
The course is incredible, very fun and challenging! The staff are also awesome to deal with! Highly recommend if you haven't played!
Not good so far this year pretty bad shape. Paid $93 on Monday, feel ripped-off after seeing the condition of the tee boxes, fairways & greens. Over 50% winter kill on fairways, most tees are basically paccked black dirt, all green were in very rough shape (#5 has no grass at all! Packed dirt for a green?) One or maybe 2 ball washers on the whole course. Don't waste your money- it's not worth it. Maybe next year.
Love this place
My son did s camp there - very well done!
Excellent course
Greens have came in nicely. Good course for the money
Pure
Great golf course that is generally well maintained. Always have a great time here except once the whole course smelled like sewage (not sure if a waste management facility is near?)
Great course really well done
Front desk was rude, not kind manner.need to improve customer services.
In good shape
Little expensive
Always a good time.
One of my favourite public courses in the city, Excellent option for mid to high handicap players (hard to find), this helps pace of play in peak times.
Great course at realistic price.
Very good golf course. The greens and fairways are fairly well maintained. Not quite as good condition as some of the premium courses in Edmonton, however, this course is much more affordable than those. The holes are a bit short at times, but hole 2 is a long challenging par-4, and the hilly/canyon areas along the back 9 present some unique holes.
Course is in great shape.
It's open! Very respectable staff,
Very nice golf course
Great golf course!
I golfed in August 2017 with 3 beginners. The Marshall was on our back for 5 of the 9 holes and complained we were going too slow, despite us being right behind the group ahead of us. On hole 7 he said we had 20min left even though the sun was still up. When I questioned him he swore at me and said "only 20 f***** more minutes". On hole 9 he came up to us and said the course is closed. I asked if we could finish up the 9 and he yelled the course was closed. I responded with "you're a super pleasant man" as he was leaving. He came back and said "say what you want about me, but you're the f**** idiot hitting into the group ahead of you" even though the group ahead of us wasn't on the course any more. When I went to the clubhouse to complain the young man at the counter said he was sorry and would give me a discount on the next round. I said I didn't care about the money and wanted to know what would be done about the Marshall and that its not fair to have him pressure beginners. He said nothing would be done, so I declined the discount and will never golf there again. I'm a low 80s golfer and in 20 years I've never see such poor etiquette and lack of respect. The course is in great shape, but avoid this place based purely on poor management.
I would consider this my "home course" as I live so close by and therefore play it a ton. Last night though (6/7/18) could very well be my last until they get it together over there. Majority of the staff are great to deal with. Didn't appreciate the starter razzing me out of the gate for supposedly being late. The group in front of us teed off and he said we were suppose to pair up with them. Well there was no announcement that we were even up. We were there waiting and assumed it was a foursome in front of us but not the case. It was 3 groups of 2. So....he was going to send off a 4some and then follow that up with a 2some? Luckily it didn't pan out that way because that's just bad course management and no wonder it gets so backed up. Less than 3 hrs and we are through 13 holes and the other marshal has the nerve to jump on us and tell us to keep up with the group in front? THEY LEFT! There was no group to keep up to not to mention the time we were making (finished the round in less than 4hrs!) He got an earful from me. Lastly this course is NOT worth full price. Come on you guys. I've played better SAND GREENS in hillbilly towns compared to what you guys have going on. I understand that winterkill happens but then why charge full pop? Also there should have been some sort of growth by now. It's June! Fire your greens keeper! That's just embarrassing. Hope to read better reviews in a month or so and maybe be back. In the meantime I'll pay the extra $10 - $15 across the street at Quarry.
$95 for the round and we have dirt tee boxes, brown fairways and concrete greens. Hopefully the 10 minute wait at every tee box pays for water on the course.
Course is a bit rough with winter kill but great track, great staff...
Its just a great, friendly place to golf.
On June 30th 2021 4 of us Old guys went 4 rounds in one day. This was only possible with the cooperation of staff at The Raven Crest. A special Thank You to JP for his knowledge and Professionalism for helping me organize and get this set up. All of the staff from Starters, Marshalls, kitchen staff, Pro Shop and grounds maintenance workers were professional, friendly and eager to assist us in our endeavour. We got it done! 72 holes in 24 hours. 15 1/2 hours of golfing all possible because of the cooperation of all involved at The Raven Crest. Thank You. Great place to golf. I will be back soon!
Looking good for the season
Great course and staff very helpful.
I only went there to hit a bucket of balls on a cool Sunday evening with a friend, but we were treated exceptionally well.
Beautiful course, nice greens.
Front 9 was in awful condition. Greens were brown and almost dirt on some fairways, but the back nine was more like a real course. On about hole 13 the marshalls were consistently pushing us to move faster despite the fact there was no one behind us,l. We attempted best ball since there were two beginners in our party of 4, yet that still didn't make them happy. This is my second time at this course and I will not be returning. The staff make it seem like you are at The Masters when the course is a wheat field in places.
Good course. Little busy
Great conditioned golf course. Great layout will suit all golf skill levels.
It is a nice course, however they were blowing out their water lines today while we were golfing. A little hard to concentrate on teeing off, when the sprinkler explodes beside you. Maybe a 'water line blow out day' discount would be in order next time. ????♀️
Second time here and both times the Marshall's were rushing us. First time was on the second hole and we were coking up to the tee box when the group ahead weren't even finished teeing off. This time we had a group of 4 and we were under 2 hours for 9 holes and the Marshall litteraly just followed us telling us he was gonna cut us short if we didn't hurry up...
Excellent shape and challenge for average players
Just hosted an event there. Food was fantastic, staff was very helpful and ready to assist. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this facility to anyone. Absolutely wonderful experience.
Honestly. It was so busy, i turned around and went next foor to the quarry. There was even a line up to the driving range!! Next door didnt feel crowded. I dont think I will return.
Great golf course but a very bad place to work. If you are looking for employment this is not the place. They don't treat there employees very well.
Nice course but very busy.
Awesome staff
Not worth the $90 green fees.
The course is in good shape greens are pretty good nice pace for sure, Good place to practice as well. I wish they would cut the holes better tho they look very sloppy compared to other courses I find some are not a perfect circle. Otherwise good place
Really good course. It is in good condition for spring season.
Great staff always willing to help
Always a pleasant experience and staff are always eager to give tips if you need them!
Went for the driving range... Decent prices
Course was in great condition and very friendly. Had supper at the end of our game and the hamburger was delicious plus hot.
Fun and well maintained 18. Reasonably priced green fees and a decent artificial driving range.
Very dry tee boxes need help. They have done a great job at cleaning out the under brush out in the trees helps speed up play.
Fantastic golf course.
Excellent greens great fairways
Course is in good shape, well taken care of. Went early and the pace was good even been booked with another pair. Never had to really wait between holes. The pace was good but could have been at the time we went. Pretty straight course difficulty is moderate so beginners to scratch golfers all can play
Very nice course that is well maintained and with the CCT card one is able to play at a very reasonable price. Couse is fairly forgiving and good for beginner / intermediate players. Pace of play has generally not been an issue either. Would recommend adding distance markers and / or a GPS to the golf carts.
Very nice golf course for a very decent price
Pretty alright course, lovely staff, best place to practice your, chipping, putting and driving. I would recommend Raven Crest.
Bought 2 Country Club Tour $100 member cards for me and my wife. Trying like crazy to get a tee time for the last 3 months. Haven't been able to book a thing. They've oversold these cards, even my friends who are full members are struggling to get a tee time. Wasted $200 bucks and will never pay to golf any of their courses again.
Course is in great shape...Definitely the all around best course on the country club tour card!
In good condition and the pace of play was good. Less than 4 hours.
Tee boxes, greens and fairways are in very poor conditions. Hope things get better.?
It's a great course be impossible to get a good tee time; even through the week.
Good course, helpful staff. Went there during twilight and eventually got stuck behind a slow group of beginners around the 14th or 15th hole, and it was dicey whether we would finish before sunset. The marshall came and let us move to the front nine (where nobody was playing) to finish up, and ended up playing the entire front nine. Carts were, however, terrible. We had to push it up a hill.
