Fun course! Lots of elevated tees, bring your accuracy or extra balls ????
Lots of flies on hole 16 17. But beautiful course
Beautiful Course ~ Reasonable Greens Fees
Golf course is in good condition
Great people and great course
Great staff. Excellent and very challenging course.
Great until the rain and lightning hit but the club house were great and have us a rain check
Edmonton's hidden gem.
Great landscape done
Jägare Ridge is an interesting and scenic golf course to play. Very challenging with all the doglegs, water hazards and coulees. It's unfortunate, especially for the price of a round, that a course yardage book isn't provided. Or put markers on tee boxes stating distances to the doglegs, water hazards or coulees. It would definitely speed up play. The course could also use better signage.
Great shape, lots of elevation changes, and back five or so coarse changes to a more opened up coarse.
We do our Christmas staff party there every year. Food is good, decent little place to have Christmas staff party little bit pricey but the staff is amazing
Friendly , happy helpful staff. The course is in outstanding conditìon. Wonderfully finished off with some awesome food served on deck with perfect view of the course. All around Outstanding!!!????????
Driving range is matts on Sunday today.
Challenging and Beautiful Course, can't wait to go back.

I’m from out of town and just wanted to go to a nice golf range and by the pictures and reviews this place was nice so i went. I would say this place lived up to the reputation. But the service is why i was very disheartened by such a golf course. The guy at the pro shop was very rude and we had called to confirm we could get some drivers and irons as long as we got the balls. And so when we got their and asked he said straight to our face that we don’t do such a thing and we said are you sure. And he kept his story and said nope we don’t lend drivers and to then remind him we spoke to someone on the phone and he asked for names and the twenty one questions. But we didn’t ask for a name over the phone of who said we could but we got them and went to the range. The setup was nice and i enjoyed that but for such rude service. And for someone who is doesn’t even have an idea of the rules has made my complaint into a rant.
The front nine of this course is very challenging, it requires some smart golf, good understanding of various distances and some smart layups to stay out of trouble. Greens in ok condition, some tee boxes in pretty rough condition. Too bad, the staff in the clubhouse was having a bad day, I assume. Felt like I was bothering him by just talking. The cart key throw on the counter was unique. The service is as important as the course itself, because there's a lot of options to play in Edmonton and surroundings. Will probably contemplate other options for the next round.
Awesome place to play golf at and i have played 4 times now there including today. The club house service was awesome to the last 3 times i was there, but today it was garbage as 3 staff was only working and we have been waiting to be served for a good 15 minutes ( group of 14 people ) and none of the 3 staff had come to our table which we our selves had to arrange. Our company president was not so happy and we walked out and went some place else to eat. We had booked a reservation to eat at the clubhouse a few weeks ago and none was set up for us at all. Oh and there was no beverage and snacks cart at all that came around.
Course was scenic, fun to play. Myself and four other friends had booked two back to back tee times for a foursome & a three group. Two of the people had to back out and wouldn't be catching up with us so we noticed it was quiet and had one player join our foursome. Our intention was if anyone got close to us we would let them pass. Well Andre comes speeding up to us on the teebox and is being very unprofessional. He told us to split up or we will get kicked out. Know one was behind us for an entire hole by the way and after spending $550 there he was very ignorant. Not going back.
Tough Course with easy access to Anthony Henday... The staff are Pretty great.
This course requires a golfer to think because almost every hole has a risk reward option. You can choose to grip it and rip it or layup and depend on your mid irons for scoring. They have a tee box for all level of golfer but if you spray the ball a lot you will have to bring some extra balls with you.
Amazing and challenging yet fun course. I would honestly give a 5 star review were it not for the absolutely inexcusable customer service from the pro shop. The rest of the staff that I encountered were cordial but what a way to ruin an experience when you make a customer feel unwelcome.
The White mud creek, as it winds through the Jager Ridge Golf course, is one of the prettiest places to Snowshoe in Edmonton.
Kids golf camp was great
I would love to live around the course
Course is in great shape
Keep the driver in your bag...this is target golf...
Amazing views and great greens!!
I enjoy the golf game I had at this course, can be challenging
Love this course. Beautiful surroundings, challenging yet fun holes. Staff were very accommodating (I had booked several tee times for a large group). Club house service and food was also great. Been multiple times now, and no bad experiences so far (apart from losing far too many golf balls).
Nice course
Amazing greens, with some challenging holes on the back nine. We booked a company event here and were treated like gold and overall the staff had a great time.
Been golfing here for years and love it
Great public course layout and really good conditions. Pace of play is really good too. Cool clubhouse and grill room as well as a fully stocked. Great value for what they charge. Tees for all levels of player and no forced Carrie’s. I highly recommend!
First time playing here and was introduced properly with class and had no problem on the course whatsoever. Overall, a beautiful and well conditioned course and looking to play here more often.
Lovely golf course, great early conditions this year. No complaints about the facility at all. The course marshal was extremely rude and made out round very unenjoyable!! We were harassed multiple times throughout for no valid reason. We are low handicappers and will reconsider this facility from now on. Such a shame!
Definitely in my top 3 favourite golf courses I’ve played. The greens have always been well kept every time I’ve gone, and the grounds crew makes sure to always stop when you are in play. There are a few spots on this course that have a pretty good view (I’ll have to take pics this coming summer) The cart service is great as well. The girls come by often enough to keep you hydrated, and usually have a few snacks on the cart. The clubhouse is always clean, the staff is usually very polite and professional, and the food is worth the price. This course is highly recommend.
Beautiful course, but this is where the good ends. When paying a higher price for a round it is expected that there is a drink cart or a Marshall even on a slower day. Took 30 min to play behind a 2 sum on the first hole. As well there was a notice on the front door about a dress code being in effect which is usual at all times for a golf course but noticed it was not even being enforced.
Beautiful course.
Guy who runs the front desk isn't a very pleasurable person, he should take a course on how to speak to people. They jam people together with 5 minute tee off intervals, took 5 hours to finish 18. Other then that the conditions were good and the food cart staff were nice.
Good play facility.
This course has an amazing layout. Shot placement is very important and you can't just pull out your driver. Watch out for the valleys that you have to flight the ball over. The greens were perfect except for people not repairing their ball marks. Big expensive houses on a couple holes in the back make you question your game, don't hit them. Fantastic golf course. Grass driving range too.
Impressive
Course I’m in beautiful shape. Greens are fast, fairways are pristine and it is overall a great design that is fun to play and never lets me down. Great stuff
Nice course, played near the end of the season still with beautiful views.
Beautiful golf course, with a nice event centre. Came here for a seminar, I can imagine it being great for a Wedding or other special event.
Great walk nice trails great area
Great service, fantastic scenery
Very challenging and always in great condition
This is my favourite course. Challenging target golf almost always in great shape.
What a great golf course and what a great experience to play. First my son and I were stuck in a bad traffic jam and called the course to let them know. The fellow from the pro shop saw us running from the parking lot and met us with our cart at the path to the first hole and that was such a great help. The course right now is already in great shape: the greens are quick and true and the fairways are really nice...when I actually hit them. The flowers at the tee boxes and all around the course look fantastic, and the course just has a way of making you feel like you are not in the middle of the city...love it!!! Great service, great course...would recommend it to everyone
This course has a unique layout ... Lots of 6 irons of the tee.. followed by another 6 iron. However it's a good location, great clubhouse and patio, decent green fees .... But the layout will drive you nuts. Only can play this course a couple times a year
Wish I had time to play
Played: 10-Jul-2020 The condition of Jagare Ridge Golf Club is as close to perfect as you can get for a golf course in the Edmonton area. From the greens to the tee-boxes they were flawless. We ran into one of the grounds crew and mentioned to him how good the course conditions were. His reply was priceless “It is not hard to grow grass when it rains all the time.” That would have been our only complaint, we had a big rainstorm the night before and some of the fairways had more standing water than dry land but that is something the golf course cannot control. We really recommend you get out and play Jagare Ridge Golf Club and see what is possible for a public course in Edmonton.
This course is a alot of fun. There isn't a running theme it changes from deep valley secluded forest golf to wide open city golf. It's fun and challenging lot of elevation changes and great scenery. Well maintained!
Good choice ????, I like it
In today’s world, you’re only as good as the customer service you provide. Don’t expect any here. Boasting some of the most beautiful golf I’ve played in the Edmonton area... comes with the most inhospitable staff and course communications I’ve ever encountered. There are signs EVERYWHERE stating what you cannot do. They like to use the words ‘strictly enforced’. No one here smiles or greets you with sincerity. Except for the cart boy. The gentleman in the pro shop was down right rude. You can’t drop clubs off, when you arrive. There is no water, or snack cart on the course. Drive up window was closed. Mistakenly went to the pro shop thinking it was the clubhouse. The pro shop gentleman again stepped into his rude demeanour. With amount of signs this place has, an arrow to the clubhouse when the snack window is closed would be helpful. Oh! And for everyone who has a habit for breaking the following golf cart items: Windshield, Front End, Steering Column, or tampering with the cart... prices for these infractions are listed right in front of you all the time in the middle of the windshield. Didn’t come across a marshal the entire course. Had a few mowers scowl as we played. Engines running the whole time. No courtesy. My money will be spent elsewhere. So very disappointed with this course. Such potential. Management needs to work on hospitality.
Expensive but an excellent course... I'd go back.
Target golf at its best
Excellent golf course .
It was nice cool the staff is friendly
It's a great course and with many challenges. I strongly recommend practicing with your driver and being comfortable with it before playing Jagare Ridge. All in all it's a beautiful course and always fun. Good luck.
It was a great day and we were lucky the dark clouds stayed away. Course is beautiful and in great shape. An Alberta gem by any measure. I'll be back again!
Course was in good shape, no beer cart or snacks (could have been covid related ????????) feel the course needs a few more signs for the cart drivers got a little lost. Didn't see a course marshall and rate of play got incredibly slow so we didn't end up playing 18 we left after 14 which sucked. Overall nice course.
Challenging but beautiful golf course with friendly staff and a great menu. Prepare to be stunned.
Challenging course with spectacular views. An awesome clubhouse with great food .
Very nice course, great fairways would recommend to anyone looking for a nice course
The course is in excellent shape. A nice challenge. Carts need to have GPS.
Great staff. Tough e ouvh layout to keep the weekend hackers out. A few gimmicky holes, but this course will test you for sure. Greens always in great shape for a public course.
Excellent golf and food
Very nice place
the golf course itself is beautiful, the groundskeeper staff clearly does an impeccable job. the Pro shop however , mainly the Manager Tyler is truly terrible at his job, customer service is non existent. We have played it many times and are always astonished at how we are treated by him, just checking us in or being polite seems to be a chore for him. There are many golf course options in and around Edmonton to choose from, we will support all of them rather than this course.
Reference question is cc'd on
Course was in good shape. Lots of hills. I would play it again. Only downside no beer cart at 30 C, and couldn't have a bit to eat. Closed at 7:30 pm.
We really enjoy this course and have been coming to it for a few years as it’s one of our favs. However, our most recent experience (Aug 14) has us considering other courses. The cart girl was extremely rude and did not provide us opportunity to purchase from her. We then sat on the patio after our round and the service was okay, although, happened to walk in on the cart girl talking to her colleagues about us. Normally I’d give this course 5 stars, but based on this experience only a one.
Great course that is very demanding with elevation changes, forced carries, well bunkers greens.
The golf course is beautiful and always in great shape. However a few people in the pro shop need to be fired. Rude, dismissive, arrogant are a few words to describe the experience. I truly hope that whoever owns this beautiful golf course reads the 1 star reviews about customer service and does something about it .
Beautiful
Awesome course and friendly staff
Tough course. I need to play it again. It makes you play every club in the bag
Gorgeous course, challenging but worth it.
Nice course with challenging holes
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Was there a few weeks ago and got to meet their pro golfer. He’s very friendly and makes people feel welcome. The club is very cleaned and organized.
Good
Course is well manicured and has a great assortment of holes. Always a treat to come back and play this beautiful course.
I know covid is on but this is the second time I've golfed here in the last 3 years. First time no beer tub girl till hole 12, this time no beer tub girl & no food. Will not return here
This is a tale of 2 nines. The front nine has got a few holes where it’s target golf. The back nine is more open. Greens are fast. I’ve been reading the reviews for this course and must say I can actually agree with some of the comments. The course itself gets five stars but staff make the overall experience average at best. It just makes you go spend hard earned dollars somewhere else.
This is a challenging course, that is usually well maintained. Staff are friendly, and you only have to use the mats at driving range at the beginning and end of the season, otherwise it's all off of the turf. This course is a very pricey ($80 for 18 holes without a cart) and several of the teeboxes were not made large enough, so they are pretty tough for the staff to keep in good condition.
Beautiful course, unfortunately the pro shop staff are rude and misogynistic. When booking a tee time over the phone (we play 8 women, two 4somes) the pro shop staff member states “I hope you girls know you can’t all bundle up, girls have a tendency to congregate”. I highly doubt this comment is made to men booking tee times. Upon arrival at the course the pro shop member referred to us as “you girls” several times, we are all professional women, not children. And finally when we stated we were walking as we like to get some exercise while we play; the staff member rolled his eyes at us and states that “you girls will regret that”, even though we are familiar with the terrain of the course. “Us girls” won’t be back. Golf is not just a mans game and if a course can’t treat women with respect, we will take our business elsewhere.
One of my fav courses in Edmonton!
Love this course. Quite challenging. Maybe not the best choice for beginners, but if you are up for a challenge and enjoy a well manicured course this is the place.
DRIVING RANGE IS CLOSED. Customer service was very poor. Their website states they have a driving range open anytime, and a large bucket of balls is 11.34+gst. This is false. Unless you are golfing on the course they WILL NOT let you purchase balls for the driving range. Pro shop worker was miserable. Could not/would not explain why their policy had changed. Avoid.
Fun coarse! Looks way better around there then any of the river valley coarse. Great fairways and staff super nice, got lost on the 18 hole tho because the marking was worn away on the ground but other then thank thank you guys for a great back 9
Conveniently located on the Southside.
Conditions are always great, personally I don't like the layout. Hitting PW off the tee on par 4's all day is no fun. Also pricy for public.
One star :(
Great course. Hills and valleys and amazingly well kept. Lots of trees and dogleg holes. Nothing else quite like it in Edmonton. If you tend to lose a few balls, bring 2x as many as normal. Overall fantastic course and well worth playing
Absolutely gorgeous course. Well manicured but truly unforgiving for beginners. 10/10 will be back again!
Course was phenomenal and well taken care of. Facilities were great and enjoyed the course overall. However, there was an issue with the cart lady serving drinks. We paid for four drinks and she drove off without giving us the drinks. No big deal things happen. When she came back and we asked her about the drinks, she literally called us liars and was extremely rude. Unacceptable. After we finished I went to the pro shop to talk about it, once again the same. I was brushed off rudely with zero effort to correct the situation. I don’t care about the money or the drinks but the principle of me paying for something and not receiving what I paid for and to be called a liar as a customer over 4 drinks was very disappointing. I thought I found the course to take my clients golfing but was really turned off by this. No one cared to help or listen. I didn’t even want a refund or the drinks, just an acknowledgement would have been nice. Would have got 5 stars had it not been for the poor customer service over something so minimal. Will most likely try other courses before giving them another chance.
Wonderful club and best course, South Edmonton secret.
One tough course, great risk reward style of links,be prepared to use all your clubs, shot a low score here and you have played one of your better games of the season, only negative is parking lot not paved,as this is not a low cost place to play I was surprised by that, got a couple of friends who will not play this course
Bad service. Especially from the Marshall Andre. For my first time at Jager ridge I went with a foursome 3 of the 4 were newer golfers when we arrived for our tee time we informed Andre of that and he said they have a limit of 2 hrs for 9 holes. When we went over that 2 hrs Andre came to us and said to skip a hole and play best ball because they don't like to stay late even though we were the last golfers on the course, It was about a hr before sunset.. We continued to golf seeing how we had a few holes left, shortly after that he came to us on the 9th hole and that is when he kicked us off the course. I found him very unprofessional and rude I will never go back to play at this course. Which is a shame because it was a nice course.
I love the landscaped contours of the fairways and the greens were in great shape.
Course is in great shape except the bunkers. There like concrete
Over priced
Great course. One of the most beautiful I’ve seen.
Not worth the price, in my opinion. Starter was rude, no beverage cart or course Marshall. There were a group in front of us that started out as 1 group of 3 and a twosome. After the first hole they played as 5 which really slowed things down, they obviously knew one another. The course itself was in nice shape despite all the rain we have had, however, it was nothing spectacular. I have played a lot of courses in and around Edmonton and feel this was over priced. The food in the clubhouse was very good. Will probably play there again at some point, but not in a huge rush. They could also use better signage off the cart path to direct you to the tee boxes that can't be seen from the cart path.
Tough course for high handi capper, but enjoyed the round with my friends.
Well kept course with many challenging holes. Friendly staff and inviting clubhouse. Watch the parking lot on damp days. ( A little muddy but that's minor. ) Enjoy your round!
Great shape and greens were mint for oct.
Awesome course. I'll definitely be playing this one more.
Always a pleasure playing at this course. Jim, the super, has consistently done a wonderful job keeping the greens in excellent shape year after year. Good job guys.
Nice practice range and putting green. Beautiful scenery.
Course was in great shape, golfers here like many places do not repair their ball marks on the greens. Here's where we had an issue. The beverage cart came around when we were on hole 3. We ordered 4 beverages, paid for them and then went to hot our shots. When we were on our way back to the carts the beverage cart pulled away. She didn't leave us our drinks that we had paid for. We called the pro shop and were told to find her on our own, they essentially didn't care and didn't want to provide any customer service at all. When the beverage cart came back she denied driving off without leaving us the beverages. She said she would look into it and come back and see us when we saw here again on the 5th tee. We never saw here after that. We went into the pro shop to discuss the issue afterwards and again they didn't want to hear anything about it. It really is too bad that customer service is non existent at this course, I was hoping to entertain more clients here but will absolutely be looking for another course in the area now.
Hey Adam here. Exquisite course! Loved spending my day off with my husband here! Great day.
With everything going they are doing a good job a little pricey but nice.
Challenging golf course in excellent condition. Friendly staff and very helpful. Excellent restaurant and lounge
This is a beautiful course, HOWEVER the service I received the other day was nothing short of terrible. Our servers name was Jess. If I were to describe her in one word, it would be garbage. The manners of this girl are non-existent... not sure how she can keep her job considering the way she acts. Her behaviour is a direct reflection of the managements standards, therefore I will not be returning and will be telling my friends to do the same!
Beautiful setting and wonderful course! Very challenging! Great condition!
Excellent golf course and excellent services
Gorgeous area.
Certainly the best course in Edmonton. Always very well kept, greens are consistently in good condition. Highly recommended.
Course driving range was closed before my tee time even though the green fee says its included with the round. There was no beverage cart or water on the course, and also the drive up concession was closed. As it was +25 C on a long weekend you would think this course would have all their amenities open. Definitely a bad experience, might be better to golf elsewhere if looking to enjoying the basics of a golf course.
Practice putting green is well maintained.
Absolutely beautiful!!!
Gorgeous course!
Best patio in south Edmonton. Enjoy a Jagare Burger on the deck. You wont be disappointed.
Beautiful course can’t wait to come back 10 out of 10 would recommend. The ginger working the pro-shop was very helpful with my questions, I didn’t get his name but he was very respectful.
Had a great round here. Sure glad we got a power cart. Some blind holes if you're not familiar with the course but it's a excellent shape.
Great patio overlooking a beautiful course
I have golfed at Jagare ridge for many years and things have changed. I understand that 2020 is a tough year for everyone. But my group was extremely disappointed that we were not informed at time of check in that we could not play 18 after 5:50. This would have been nice to know during our time of booking as we would have chosen another golf course. When we asked the pro shop if we could pay for twilight and bring our cart back upon agreed time we were met with a very unprofessional and condescending comments " I have been in the industry for a long time and I know what certain time mean to you kind of people". We felt unwelcome with such comments thrown our way when all we did was ask questions because they failed to inform us when we called to book. I do not know the name of the individual but I am pretty sure he was the manager. Very unpleasant experience considering Jagare used to be one of our favorite golf courses.
Difficult course but it's in beautiful shape. The landscaping is some of the best on any course I've been to.
(Translated) Golf is expensive. (Original) 골프 가격이 비싸다.
Fantastic conditions!
Check in person was extremely belligerent he should learn how to communicate with customers. Course was overbooked and extremely slow with our round taking nearly 5 hours. Course is in excellent condition and beverage cart staff were excellent….would I return…I doubt it not when your talked to in a derogatory fashion.
wow...awesome course in heart of south edmonton
Beautiful setting and wonderful course! Very challenging! Great condition!
Great guys course is in great shape
Was quite impressed with both the quality of the course and service... Emily brightened up what was otherwise a cloudy day, which is quite contrasting to the last time we golfed here where a server, who’s name starts with a “J” and her name rhymes with mess, just about ruined our experience.
Great course. In fantastic shape this year. I'd recommend carting it, there are some long walks between holes.
Very grumpy staff, he looks annoyed that we are golfing there. All 4 players had the same experience at check in. Not worth the price to be treated like that.
