We enjoyed an excellent catered buffet meal for our fathers 90th birthday party. The host, Samantha, was on top of every detail. The beef exquisite and the chicken divine. The salads, buns, and dessert squares were all good choices. We had a great evening - thank you!

An excellent, old style golf club, which is always in great shape. While it lacks the length of modern day golf courses, it makes up for in the accuracy it demands from tee to green. It's layout is in the river valley, and offers many pretty views of the surrounding area, as well as views of downtown Edmonton's skyline. Lovely clubhouse and friendly staff. Food is excellent. Worth a visit. Highly recommended.

Casual atmosphere and quality amenities. This track is an Edmonton classic and membership here requires no knighting or divine intervention. This club mixes a respectful atmosphere with friendly members and experiences. If you’re looking for your next home for golf, this is the place.

The view is spectacular from here. The service was extremely slow, although friendly, but by the time we had all our brunch dishes sorted out everything was pretty much cold. It took about an hour to get our food and the restaurant was not busy at all. A neighbouring table asked us how long it took to get our food because they were still waiting to be served. Food was average, well priced, but the view was the best.

A stunningly beautiful view from the clubhouse. The members seem to be pretty nice which is very rare for a semi-private course in the area. Food is very good as well. Since it is a golf Club, I should mention that it looks to be in great shape.

Golf course is excellent. Good variety and layout is crisp. Overall solid golf experience with some excellent view of Edmonton as well. The flow of the golf course is also excellent and everything just seems to be in the right place.

One of Edmonton's hidden gems. Highlands is a tight golf course that is sneaky long with fast greens that are a treat to putt on (double check your line before putting). The staff both on the course and up stairs in the lounge are friendly and very friendly. Bring a few extra balls - the river is only one bad shot away.

I can't speak for the greens but we live around the corner and recently discovered the dining room -- it's the best! Views are beautiful, such friendly staff, menu is extensive and food is delicious and so affordable! Obviously the kitchen is proud of what they do and plates are clean, precise, consistent. I love it best for sunny morning brunch. It might not have the hipster cachet or style of a Strathcona restaurant but it has quickly become my fave for its consistency, efficiency, welcoming atmosphere, and taste!

Place is beautiful was there for the hypothermic half edmonton, afterwards they had a buffet style brunch. I was not sure what was vegan and what was not. The cook came out and explained all the ingredients made sure I was taken care of.

Absolutely amazing! First of all our server Ashley was the most funny and outgoing person and she made us feel very welcome during the entirety of our meal! She was the only staff working and she did very good with all of her tables! Our mimosas were made perfect and my friends eggs were perfectly sunny side up! Great views of the golf course in the winter and will definitely come back!

Probably my favorite golf course, taken with a grain of salt since I'm a member, but the greens are amazing, fairways are nice, tee boxes are in great condition. Though its not the longest course, and some of the bunkers need some work, which they're working on, the people are nice, the fairways are tight, and being them definitely will save you. Also the carts have pin gps. The greens are challenging and hard to read, fun course and definitely worth the price you pay as a member. The restaurant staff are great, very friendly. The food, man the food is something else. For the price in my opinion is very hard to beat. The location and views that you can see are amazing. 10/10

Greens are fast and true. Keeping the ball in the fairways will be a key to a good score here. Lots of tree trouble for errant shots. Tee boxes level and cut short. One of the best courses in the city.

(review as an event venue, haven't golfed here) The large main room can be partitioned off, a good idea but highlands execution does not do the idea justice. The main room is open to the main entrance of the club so people will be constantly walking in, out and through your event of your hosting in the large main space to get to other areas of the club including the pain restaurant. If you are hosting in the side room your guests are forced to walk through the other event to get to your event and will have to walk out and through the other event ever time they want to use the rest room or step outside, not the end of the world but can be very awkward, for example, when cheerful bridal shower guests are constantly, yet, accidently inturpting a funeral. Awkward lay out aside, the space is lovely and has gorgeous views of the course and river valley, very picturesque! High ceilings really capture the beautiful location! The food is more of less the same subpar (pun intended ;p )catering at most standard golf courses, it's not bad food but it's really not good either. Service was efficient and effective although slightly unprofessional. This didn't bother me at all but if you're trying to impress snooty relatives service here could be a problem for you, if you just want to job done, people fed, drinks avalible, mess removed and aren't bothered about propper ettiquite, I wouldn't worry about the service. Would I recommend this venue to a friend? Depends on the friend, their personal priorities, the type of event, the time of day, which room or rooms they where thinking of.... I could see this Highlands being a 5/5 for some people/events and I could see it being a 1 or 2/5 for others. Hope this information helps you end up with a 5/5 for whatever you're planning :)

Ordered there Christmas Dinner, for a family of 10, was really great portions! Friendly staff when picking up. A decent amount of leftovers. We ordered 3 full family meals, thinking about seconds for everyone and take home leftovers. Very good. Would order again next year!

Highlands is the location for the hypothermic half marathon each year and the brunch is always very good. It is nice to have the change rooms on site for the run as well. Very nice views of the golf course.

It's fantastic that the golf course is open for us dog walkers throughout the winter. They groom a great pathway for us to follow. Dogs love the open space. Staff are always friendly with us. Please be courteous and pick up after your dog. That's a great way to thank them for letting us on their golf course.
