Did not golf, only went to try the food. First off, there is no table service. You have to order drinks and food at the bar, one girl working, very pleasant to deal with, and one cook. They do bring the food and drinks to your table for you though. Had a dozen hot wings to start, $13. Cooked okay but not the least bit crisp even though they are battered, which makes them not Gluten friendly. In fact very little on their menu is Gluten friendly, even their burgers have wheat in them.
Steak sandwich was $20. It is about a 6 ounce piece of meat, fries, a few onion rings and a piece of toasted bread. The steak was well done done so I sent it back. Second one came back closer to medium than the medium rare I ordered but close enough. Also, the fries are the semi battered kind and I have never cared for that type of fry, but they were cooked properly and hot. Again the batter makes them not Gluetin friendly. My partner had Nachos with meat as that is one of the few things she found that was Gluetin free. The Nachos were okay, lots of Jalapenos but the meat mix was kind of odd tasting and not in a good way. Kind of surprises me that with about 25% of the population being Gluetin intolerant that so many restaurants are so willing to just ignore this huge chunk of market share.
The prices are not real high but they aren't what I would call a deal either. Food quantity was okay but the flavour and quality were substandard. The food makes poop in the morning but not a place I would return to. There are a couple of other golf courses in the area, like the Sturgeon Valley Course, with far better food and about the same price profile.
