Apparently, a tournament host "forgot" to add 4 groups on the day of the tournament and Delta GC squeezed this into their day's scheduled tee times. We had other engagements after our round, so we factored in potential slow pace to complete the round in 4.5 hours. When we got to the course, we were told that tee times were backed up 30 minutes. We didn't get to tee off until 45 minutes after our scheduled tee time. To make problems worse, there were normally 2 to 3 groups ahead of us when we reached each holes. We had to end our round on the 14th hole. If it wasn't for other groups letting us go ahead at the turn as they waited for their food, we wouldn't have even made it to the 14th hole. If we are held to be accountable for our bookings and having to pay for late cancellations, at least the course should hold up to their end of the bargain by keeping accurate tee off times. In my 20 or so years of playing, this is probably the worse timing issues I have seen. Staff/starter were nice, and the greens were fast, but in decent conditions. The cut on the fairway was a bit longer than normal, but not bad. That's for the 2 star I gave.

Delta golf course has undergone some incredible changes over the years leading to a playing experience that has me longing to return, so much so, that the ~30 minute commute from south west Vancouver does not phase me one bit. Today’s round was the first time I’ve played this course in roughly two years. Before the pandemic, I used to participate in a corporate tournament which would have games hosted here twice a year. This course, from prior memories, was a course with fairways and greens that were always in shambles; green keeping was not a priority over simply getting as many people as possible onto the grounds of the course and it showed. Badly. What has changed is a noticeable effort to maintain playability with an emphasis on quality greens. I was genuinely shocked when I drove into the parkade and walked up to the pro shop, the 18th green looked immaculate. I was expecting to see what I saw years ago—spotty, underwhelming, discoloured greens, uneven cuts of fringe and no real consistency in the greens themselves. What I saw as I walked into the pro shop was an 18th green that was polar opposite to what I remembered from when I last visited the course—I saw pristinely cut greens, defined fringes and a consistent coloured green which looked deliciously pure! After playing the course, I can assure you that what I saw on the 18th green was consistent throughout the rest of the course. It was brilliant. The putting experience on these greens here are on par [pardon the pun] with some of the best destination courses in the country. Having played Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge as well as Fairmont Banff Springs and Tobiano ($145, $120 & $100 per round respectively) this summer, the greens rolled just as smoothly and just as purely. I was dumbfounded. If you are wanting to ensure your round has an excellent putting experience, you can rest easy knowing your venture out to this golf course is a sound decision. Now, having said all of that, a fair review wouldn’t be complete without tackling some points of critique. Todays round was on a bright, sunny, 10° day after some fairly decent rainfall. Fairways were very damp and had a decent amount of mud spots, drainage on this course is not the best, but does not impact playability to an extreme degree like many other public courses (namely, McCleery, Fraiserview and Langara), by that I mean, a full round can be complete without having to take many water logged reliefs. Fairways also are not cut to the same level of detail as the greens. It would be beautiful to see the same level of attention set to the fairways as the greens as it would elevate the playing experience drastically. Tee boxes were cut well and defined. They were also relatively even, only some holes had some uneven tee box turf. Because of the rain and due to some ground being under repair, elevated range mats were placed to hit off of. I found them to be a little bit of an eyesore and relatively hard. To be clear, they are actual range mats, but definitely ones that have been used a fair bit—I would suggest they be replaced with higher quality mats. Apart from that, I do not have any other critiques of the course. The layout is accessible, accuracy on the dogleg holes are paramount, but it is not a course which will punish you too roughly [pun]. It’s a course I would bring friends to of all golf experience levels - as a 19 handicap player, I had a very enjoyable experience; the friendliness of the staff (namely Marcel, the pro shop manager), to the playing experience of the course, I would absolutely be coming back to see how the course continues to develop and grow. There is so much potential and if all goes to plan, this course will be one to keep an eye on, without a doubt.

This course has gone done hill fast. I hope the new owners are reading this... When you buy a golf course you have to spend the money to maintain your course. Pay your staff and stop being cheap. I won't play here again until they fix it. They are running it into the ground sadly. The greens were the worst I've ever seen and the sand traps had weeds and grass growing in them. Terrible!

It's a dog's breakfast of a layout. Holes are on top of eachother so every time we were teeing off we had random people walking into the fairway slowing down play. No flow to the holes and some par 3s would be short on a pitch n putt course.

This golf course has improved in a drastic way over the last few Months. The conditions are excellent. The greeens crew has done a great job keeping the course very playable. They recently hired a golf pro Jesse who is an excellent instructor and has an amazing approach to the game. I highly recommend lessons from this pro.

We went here for a private birthday party. The trays of food were left to run out before everyone had a first pass at them. The coffee ran out as well. There was only one person hired to do the food when there was over 50 people expected. Very poor service. Was embarrased for my friend who the party was for.

I was here for a wedding back in July. The golf course is really beautiful and they have decent amount of facilities at the golf club. There is good amount of parking available everywhere and also has a nice restaurant inside. Everything was clean, including the bathrooms. It’s a good plce for a wedding as well.

Played there on a sunny afternoon of Sat Apr 17th. First thing I noticed was the relaxed vibe of the patio, socially distanced. Relaxing 90's R&B music mix was pumping on the speakers. Haven't played here in years but the course looked amazing. Greens were firm and fast because of the dry weather. Will definitely be back here more this summer. Really nice vibe to this golf course. Seemed like more younger demographic players frequent this golf course rather than the aging baby boomers. There was one hole I remember that had a temp green. Hopefully it gets fixed for the summer golfing season.

Just finished a round here after raining. The course is definitely much more improved than comments left here a month ago. Greens are well kept, no weeds in bunkers. The fairway can be cut a little shorter though. Sometimes still a little hard to differentiate fairway and first rough. Other than that, you are really getting good value for your money at this course. Update: The course is back to normal with great fairways and greens. Course is maintained daily.

Not worth the value. I played here regularly from 2000-2006. Decided to visit again in the Fall of 2020, I can only say that this course has been neglected, and the service by the food staff is very poor. Rough, and fairway are not cut regularly, with visible evidence of diseased grass. However, the greens are in good shape. The course is for golfers who score above 90 and want to drink with their friends. Also, pass on the food at the end of the round.

Fun golf course. Not too long, not too expensive. Flat, with extremely fast well kept greens. A little tight with the land they have to work with, but you're not going to lose too many balls either

After decades golfing here new ownership has their priorities backwards. This is no longer your friendly local course. There are 4 large security guards going around checking everyone for beers. Literally checking your cart when you go in, and following you around on course if they suspect you brought on a beer or two. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable trying to enjoy a day of golf. Never have I seen a golf course have security guards let alone 4 patrolling every group. Heard they kicked out the Men’s club after all the years they supported this course. And there were multiple others who feel the same as me, so like I said after paying for dozens and dozens of rounds here I will not moving forward.

Booked a golf cart for 1 person. They didn't tell us that 1/2 cart only is available with the old carts& only 1st come 1st served or $48 for new cart if only 1 person. Also never filled trench in so had to drive thru it. Our 4 some do not plan to play there again.

Listen to the other bad reviews. I didnt and found out the hard way. This place hasn't been mowed in ages. You will even lose your balls on what's suppose to be a fairway. Please if you are the owner of this course start giving it some love... you got weeds growing in what used to be bunkers.

Pretty friendly, decent course. Twilight rates are the best, and a little pricey for prime time golf slots. Drainage isn't the best, so avoid rainy days. Also hosts events and tournaments.

Luke and the team at Delta Golf and Country Club hosted our office holiday party. They were so accommodating to our requests. The room was spacious, decorated and had all the AV equipment included. The staff was very friendly, helpful and professional during the event. We opted to have a plated lunch, the food was great, and they were able to accommodate all food preferences and allergies.

played a 9 there last season in the twilight in august, nothing to complain about from a course standpoint, but that was only because I was being swarmed by mosquitos like you would not believe. Bring your bug spray as I looked like a had chicken pox after playing only 9 holes.

I hate writing negative reviews but unless things change at Delta GC, I will not bring a putter to play on those SLOW greens. The course is enjoyable to play but the overall experience is so frustrating because of putting. It is unfortunate one person can ruin an otherwise good experience. Three weeks later.... Someone must be listening..... an improvement in the greens has been reported--to medium speed. Keep it up. December= the greens are being prepared to win the worst winter greens contest. AND nobody cares. We need TRUMP -" YOU ARE FIRED " !!! All greens in this area are poor due to the cold and moisture but I have seen bad greens vastly improved by a course superintendent who knows what to do. Wet greens are diseased and bumpy just like DELTA ! Other then that the layout is interesting and fun to play.

This is a fairly easy course. Not a huge challenge. The only criticism is the tee boxes are not level. Which affects driving accuracy. Other than that, this course is a great value. The wind off the ocean can make it more challenging which affects club selection. #10 is the best hole. If you can hit a long drive, you will more than likely birdie this par 5. Had a Pitching Wedge for a 2nd shot, and knocked it to within a foot for an easy eagle. Staff are welcoming and very friendly. Just please fix the tee boxes. I usually shoot +3 or +4 here, with my Driver always being my best club. I went +8 today missing the fairway numerous times.
