Nice challenging course. They were also gracious enough to find room for us to play on short notice after The Nation turned us away without even calling us to tell us our tee time had been cancelled. The only thing this course needs though is more signage to show how many yards it is to the hole, what hole you're on and which way to go. There were times I had no idea where to go to start the next hole. Also, if they added yard sticks to show the distance to the hole, that would be nice as well.

Hammond Golf course restaurent had a Vanlentine souper and show. Menu was already chosen at 75$ included the show. Reasonable so far. Made me think the way they advertise that restaurent was just for Valentine. This is were it goes wrong. The restaurent was not closed off to the rest of the public. People all around the restaurent had there choice of there regular menu ( pub style) snowmobiler, Hockey team ect... They all get to enjoy the show off my back that a few people paid for the package. Food: was cold, so so. Duck was very dry and pasta not cooked. Service was slow do to serving other big crowds. Ambience: restaurent was cold do to the doors being open all the time. I felt out off place being dress up. Should have just worn my jeans and construction boots. Overall: good place for beers and burgers. Not a 209$ Valentine supper...OVERPRICE!!!!!

I Ordered a hot chicken sandwich with fries. My friend ordered the same sandwich with a side salad. The food was very good and the prices were reasonable. I wouldn't hesitate to eat there again.

Course is in pretty good condition and has many fun and challenging holes all for a good price (summer 2020). My issue is we were told to start on hole 10, and once we were done and wanted to start our last nine on hole 1, the marshall refused saying that we were supposed to start on the old hole 10, which was now hole 1, that it was assumed we would know, which doesn't make sense since we had never been here. When trying to explain this, the marshall became confrontational leading to a very unpleasant experience. We finished our last 9 by replaying the back nine. Our foresome has not returned and won't be doing so, there are plenty of great courses around.

Love Hammond! Such an underrated golf course and now their clubhouse, restaurant, food, beer are all incredible. The staff is friendly and they are doing amazing things at Hammond!

A little longer than many courses. Due to evergreen trees, no leaves in the fall, plus easy to find balls in the pine straw all through the season. Forgiving course and always in good shape. Very affordable as well. Good food too in very nice clubhouse.

Fun course and a lot of open space which makes for an easier round. Mostly decent shape but nothing amazing. A lot of the fairways are very bumpy, bunkers have been very stiff the few times we went. Greens are in good shape. Couple of elevated tee boxes that make for nice views. Overall good value for the price.

Wonderful service.. very clean. High ceilings and excellent ventilation. A classic sports styled bar and restaurant. Breakfast was delicious and can be modified to suit your wishes....for a price. (Be quite clear when ordering; they do not do substitutions without charging additional amounts. Many places will trade toast for something else, without an additional charge, not here. We had asked for tomatoes slices and extra wedges in lieu of toast. But then we were charged for the extras) Unlimited coffee or tea is included - one per breakfast. Breakfast potatoes wedges were scrumptious- well seasoned and not at all salty! There are many nice features to this restaurant/bar/banquet haĺl including 4 state of the art indoor golf simulators. We will revisit again, perhaps for supper, and bring a group with us!! Children's lunch and supper menu is $6 per, with 5 different meal options. An overall positive and satisfying experience. Would be a wonderful wedding, retirement party, prom or family reunion venue!! The grounds are lovely with beautiful landscaping throughout. A fine country setting with plenty of charm and style. Owners seem to genuinely care about your experience, and that means A GREAT DEAL.

Fantastic day golfing. Course has some challenging holes but also nice open fairways to drive a ball. Staff is very friendly and marshals are non intrusive. Beers are pricy but that is a given on the course. Food in the outdoor patio is hot and fresh, and beer us cold. Definitely recommend this course for the beginner to the advanced it is a fun time to be had by all.

As an update to my one star post previously the owner reached out, was genuinely concerned about the failure of his IT/phone answering system and made a genuine and not commercialized attempt to make things good. A rare business model these days. Thanks Len and looking forward to golfing at Hammond this summer! Caring customer service is a rare thing these days but Hammond has it nailed down.

BY FAR THE WORST EXPERIENCE... waited 2 hours to golf. Finally got set up and because we didn't have a extra golf bag, we were told we needed to leave. I was there the weekend before and everything was fine. Second time trying golf and because I didn't have a extra bag and a polo I was asked to leave. 0 STARS

I don’t review, but had to. Haven’t golfed, but the food is amazing! Legitimate pub food taken to the next level. Last time I was there I settled on the Shawarma Poutine and it was the best poutine I’ve ever had. (I’m usually a poutine purest; give me fries gravy and curd). But their take was ridiculously good. By far better than any pulled pork or taco poutine I’ve ever had elsewhere.

The staff in all areas of the club were friendly and welcoming. Their effort to make our tournament a success was impressive and successful. The golf course has a mix of easier and more challenging holes. The greens are good and consistent. Many tee boxes are in terrible condition and most fairways are something other than grass. Remember that you are not playing a Trump resort club and that the price is right and you will enjoy this course.

On arrival I was surprised to have to find a parking lot that had only 1 or 2 open spots at 12:30 on a Thursday afternoon. As we approached the started, we found out why. We were told that our tee off would be delayed by 15 minutes. They didn't have carts available for us and encouraged us to take the same cart even though I told then that we didn't live together. They had crammed so many start times in that they didn't have enough carts for the number of players. The course is quite nice and the people who work there are friendly. They do need to respect the regulations that have been put out by the Ontario government on operating a golf course during COVID-19. I understand that all course missed out on the first 3 or 4 weeks of operations. However, trying to make that all back as quickly as possible is not the way to operate. This also caused slow play.

This was my second round here this year and it has gotten worse. The tee boxes were awful patchy, not leveled and spots of long grass. Fairways were also awful. They had clovers all over the fairways very little grass. Greens were pretty good for the most part. Some had burnt grass but overall greens were good. I was surprised to read some reviews saying this was one of the better courses they had played. It would rank very low on the courses I have played all over Ottawa including other courses in the area. Pace of play was good the course wasn't very busy. I wouldn't recommend this course. If you're driving out to this area Rockland and Nation are 100 times better than here. In fact I'd even say Pineview has surpassed Hammond.
