Jan 2018: I went to this dealership a few months ago to inquire about my rust through warranty supplied by VW Canada, first visit, after some pressure they agreed to SUBMIT A FORM to VW Canada for the remediation of my hood, doors and trunk. this was good. then when I returned and inquired about the rocker panels, I was verbally harassed in the parking lot by one of the owners. I mean full out yelling at me. because he did not want to submit a form to VW Canada, ( the rust repairs cost the dealership nothing from start to finish) During this encounter I was told that rocker panels are a "wear component" and that I should not expect them to remain intact for the span of the warranty. ( this is not true in the least, rocker panels should last 12+ years easily) at the end of this "Visit", during which I remained polite and professional, never raising my voice or so much as removing my hands from my pockets) i requested that a car that had been parked in my way be moved a little, the owner of the dealership proceeded to get in the drivers seat and spin the tires on dry ground in order to move another persons car a total of 10 feet. This is unprofessional and I would not trust these people with my car, my families cars, my friends car, or my enemies cars. If you want to be treated with the respect due to a human being, do not go here. they will not help you, they will not honor your warranties, they will not do their jobs. And dont forget Robin, the service guy, I stood at the counter for 5 minutes once while he played around on his cell phone before he sighed, tossed it on the desk and begrudgingly asked what I wanted. and this is when I was there to spend $$$ on parts. #VWcanada shut them down!!! EDIT: Dealership has changed hands, I look forward to seeing if the quality of service changes and will give them another chance.

Wander onto the lot with money to spend and theres never any service. Too busy preying on elderly Passat drivers from Riverdale. Went to Bytek to get my VW. Came here for oil and they sold me the wrong kind. Also, they do not like to honor Volkswagen of Canada's 12 year corrosion warranty and will tell you something isnt covered when in fact it is. I can literally see this dealership from my house and I still drive to Ottawa for any significant concerns. Its too bad.

Glenn, Michael, Robin. The three names I know at Cornwall Volkswagen. The only three names I will ever need to know. Glenn helped me with the smooth transition from a leased Passat to a purchased Routan. I barely lifted a finger. Glenn took care of all the paperwork - and where he couldn't, guided me in the right direction. I just signed and rode away in my new vehicle! And now the customer service part is left up to Michael and Robin. Robin always greets me with a smile, as soon as I walk up to the service desk. Anything I throw at him (my pet peeves about the vehicle) is taken seriously, and examined with great detail. I always leave knowing that my concerns have been addressed appropriately. I also credit Michael with this attention to detail as this is his department. What blows me away about the whole experience at Cornwall VW, is that every time I go in for service, all three will ask me how I am doing - as a person. As a human being and not just as a VW owner. I am hard pressed to find that in the "big smoke" (Toronto). 2016 UPDATE - Purchased a Jetta. No trade in, just outright purchase. Glenn came through like a rock star! Again, no work at my end. Just pointed at the car I wanted, and got it a little while later. Michael helped me pick out aluminum rims for the winter tires I purchased a few months later, and they were on in no time flat. Wait, that may be the wrong expression in this case... Will try that again - and they went on without a hitch! Wait, I mean I never asked for a hitch, but the tires were put on... Well, I hope you know what I mean! ;^) 2019 UPDATE - Still 5 star place, in my opinion. Super happy to give them my business!

Terrible experience. I asked the manager if someone would be able to help me out with a check engine light on my GTi, and he told me to get the F*** out of his shop. I don't know if he thought I was someone else? I guess it doesn't really matter, considering it clearly was not an effective way to speak to someone. That was my first and last experience at this place. I wish there were less stars to give on a review.

Scratched my car changing windshield wipers and wont even own up to their mistake. Will be calling head office. Not to mention the lack of customer service skills. Perhaps I walked in on the wrong day, but they seemed almost annoyed with my pressence . will go elsewhere when I buy an additional vehicle (which was going to be in the very near future) but not from them!

Really cranky service manager for two separate issues 6mths apart. Very long delays between call and appt times, and even if you arrive and there are zero cars being serviced and literally 4 service guys drinking their coffee, your car doesn't get looked at until late afternoon (appt just for a code reading), and don't dare call to ask, you will get a very grouchy response. Also loudly stated they wouldn't be providing drop off service to work only a couple kms away, with no warning about this change in service. If you have a choice, take your vw somewhere else, we do now. I've owned vw's off and on for 15 years, never dealt with service like this at Kingston or Ottawa VW dealerships. Cornwall VW, you've lost all the used sales from the big VW lie, you MAY want to keep your service business!

Over the past decade we had bought 5 vehicles from Cornwall VW for our company and had always enjoyed dealing with the original owner. Sadly the dealership has changed hands and the professional experience has all but dissipated. We were welcomed into the showroom by a dog running around and the strong sent of dog feces. After waiting for 15 minutes we interacted with a woman who presented herself as the owner. We informed her we were replacing a Touareg that we had purchased 4 years earlier at Cornwall VW. Without hesitation we were subjected to what can only be described as high pressure sales tactics. How much do we want for our trade? How are we paying? When do we want it? We weren't asked about what we were looking at in terms of a replacement, only high pressure jargen from someone who kept reiterating they were the owner. Frustrated with the entire situation we drove to Hunt club and bought a new Atlas. The experience was far more inline with what you'd expect from a German automaker.

I took my car for repair to this dealership three times as I love VW. The first time was in 2013 to change oil. The second time was in 2018 to fix a leaking oil, the third time was in 2020 to fix a door latch. The last two services were horrible my cars were further damaged as the leaking oil job was not completed well. I later learnt through another shop that to fix an oil pan requires time to let the seal cure overnight before driving. But this deanship let me pick up the car the same day and charged enormous amount of money. As per the door latch job. I paid over $500 for a 30 minutes job to just replace the latch . Due to Covid restrictions I stood outside watching my car just parked inside the garage for 3 hours and no-one was even working on it or being near it. After 3 hours standing outside they finally took the vehicle out and told me it is done and charged me 3 hours job. Little did they know that I saw the few minutes it took the to just replace the upper latch. After I drove the car out and decided to test if it really works well, I realized that the latch was not working as it should. I immediately drove back to let them know. At that point the agent mentioned that I will need to pay additional to replace the bottom latch too. They are scammers!!!

Made an appointment to have an oil change done and transmission checked. Although the gentleman that helped me was nice, after an hour of still seeing my car sitting outside I asked how much longer it would be. He said they werw almost done, the transmission was fine but they did not do the oil change. Strange that they did not record what i was coming in for when I called to make the appointment. Will not be returning here for service. Will go to ottawa next time.

They have horrible service; and the sales guy takes advice of customers without explaining contracts, he tells people to look over it and sign. Not to mention after you sign the contract then he tells you about the $500 down payment. I wouldn’t recommend at all buying from Cornwall, I would look out of town. Admin fees in the Contract stats it’s only $50 and they charge you $395.

I had a tire blow out on the 401 near Cornwall. VW Roadside Assistance got my R towed to Cornwall VW (after four and a half hours), arriving at the dealership about 9:00 PM. I left the car and a note. Saturday morning I received a call from the owner of the dealership to check if everyone was OK, and verify what seemed to be needed. There were some issues getting a replacement wheel and tire (nothing in Cornwall VW's control). Once the wheel and tire arrived, Cornwall VW had the car ready to go right away. The owner even picked me up at the train station!

The people at this place are incredibly helpful and accommodating. We had a breakdown on our Toureg while on route to Montreal. Luckily it happened in Cornwall. I found Cornwall VW on Google called during the COVID 19 outbreak, not knowing what to expect. Caroline the owner of the dealership happened to pick up the phone. From that point forward my wife and I knew we were in good hands. We arranged for a tow with CAA and Caroline took care of the rest. She found us a nice hotel that would take us, since it was very late. Her husband who is the head mechanic diagnosed the truck and called us by 9am the next day with a diagnosis and price (later on I found out he went to work at 4am so he could get that done for us). I gave him the go ahead and they had us back on the road before lunch the next day. A major repair during a crisis in a strange town. But the people at Cornwall Volkswagen took care of us like we were family. I hope no one get's a breakdown but if you have to have one I hope for you it happens near Cornwall Volkswagen.

Nice waiting area (good WiFi, coffee (Keurig), very clean washrooms, and a great friendly group of people. Everyone wanted to know how we liked our vehicle so far.............we like it very much !

I have lived in Cornwall for 20 years, and because of the extremely poor service from this dealer I will never go there again. Going to Ottawa is inconvenient but they don't have an attitude and honor Volkswagen's warranty.
