Gem of a Stanley Thompson golf course in a nice, quiet parkland setting with majestic century old trees. Amazingly uniform grass on the fairways and greens. Great bunker complexes. Good food and attentive service at the clubhouse and half-way house. Lovely community of members.

Lovely course and curling club. I wish it was more open to the public as it would be a great place to go regularly. It's really not a course you would think I was as Members Only once you've been on it and played it, but it is well above the average public course.

Worst steak I've ever had. The meat wasnt good quality before it was frozen. The steak was under cooked, I asked for medium rare and it was barely rare almost blue rare. The seasoning was inconsistent heavy in some spots and bare in others. Not to mention it was a very generic Montreal steak spice, a house blend would be more appropriate for a prestigious country club.

I was there for some financial seminar. The place is by lake Saint Clair, and is nicely manicured, it was still under construction at the time, for marina spots. The would be suitable for some fancy events, such as weddings, etc. But I have no idea as to the cost for renting the place. There is ample parking for the place. I did not golf there, so I can't comment on that part.

My family hosted two events at Beach Grove and we were overcharged significantly(double or triple) for bottles of wine that were never consumed by our guests. The management did not get back to my father after several weeks (at least three), and stated that the charges were correct. There is no way each guest consumed one bottle of wine each, as the bars were open to the guests for the entire event, as well as a martini bar during cocktail hour. Very disappointed as this is supposed to be a high end establishment.
