Beautiful golf course. Just didn't get the level of service I thought we would. I wasn't even allowed to but a drink after the game because there was a wedding in the bar. I needed to take some medication and couldn't.

A friend recommended the course. Played on August 4th 2016. It took 5h30 to play. Design is nice (mountains/forest - S. Thompson 1929). Greens were very slow compared to other high-end golf courses (Stimpmeter measure was probably between 6 and 8). Several patches of burnt grass on each hole. Woods are not clean at all. IMO the course needs some investment (pathway, bunkers, practice range). Paid 50$ + tx through Can-Am golf.

Squeezed in one last round of golf before the weather got too cold. The course is absolutely beautiful with all the fall foliage, although the leaves made it pretty difficult to find the balls after tee-off (but that's my bad). Understandably, most of the club amenities including the bar was closed due to COVID regulations. Overall it was an extremely enjoyable and beautiful experience.

25 minutes to register at pro shop with the phone ringing and not answered, 4:45 hour round. They need help in the pro shop and a marshall that increases speed for a 4:15 round MAX.

The largest and most luxurious lodge ever been built. If you come to Canada, you have to experience the Fairmont Montebello. Choose the suite with your own hot tube in it. Absolutely top service, unlike the Fairmont Banff which is under construction and terrible noises everyday :(

Be careful though to read the green otherwise it's 3 puts! I have more than half a dozen bullets lost, however, because I have not been able to adapt several times to the proximity of the beautiful forests in the heart of which is poured this monument. Les bunkers d'allées m'ont fait changer mon choix de bâtons à plusieurs reprises et m'ont forcé à m'adapter. Les greens étaient parfaits, c'est très beau comme terrain. Attention toutefois de bien lire le green sinon c'est 3 puts! J'ai plus d'une demi douzaines de balles perdues toutefois parce que je n'ai pas su m'adapter à plusieurs reprises à la proximités de la magnifique forêts au coeur de laquelle est coulé ce monument.

I take away a star and a half because of the Driving range which is weird: 1- You have to cross the fairway of the 1st hole on foot to get to the Driving range (Timer with people who start / not the right to cart). 2- The Driving range is stuck on the 17th and 18th holes. The less that you warm up and make a slice, you send that in the face of the players who walk in the opposite direction, 40 feet to the side. (Original) Très beau terrain. J'enlève une étoile et demie à cause du Driving range qui est bizarre: 1- Il faut traverser à pied le fairway du 1er trou pour se rendre au Driving range (Se timer avec les gens qui commencent / pas le droit de cart). 2- Le Driving range est collé sur les 17e et 18e trous. Moindrement que tu te réchauffes et que tu fais une slice, tu envoie ça dans la face des joueurs qui marchent en sens inverse, 40 pieds à côté.

During the service some plates were incomplete, for example the toast was missing. And this despite the fact that there were only two tables in the whole restaurant. Awesome golf course. Very hilly and very fun. Not snooty at all for an upscale golf course at the Fairmont. Play there 3 or 4 times a year and love it every time. Watch out for the older gentleman at the boutique, show up early it may take a while to get started.

Terrific golf experience at Montebello. Arrived at 8am for a Saturday round. Professional and courteous staff kept things moving with friendly tips on course. Fairways, greens, and tee boxes were in top-notch condition with just a few areas where weather was probably to blame for burned spots of grass. Fun, challenging, and an all around great time had at Montebello.

Dear golf community, I’ll start off by mentioning this is truly a phenomenal golf course. Lots of interesting elevation changes which allows for the average golfer to unleash some pretty wicked piss-rockets. When it comes to the greens at Montebello, let’s just say, at the end of the round you may be inspired to head to the grave of Stanley Thompson in order to dig him up, just to kill him again. Highly recommend bringing a minimum of two putters for when you snap your first one after your fifth 3-Jack on the front 9. #Enjoy #ChateauPissRocket

I played this course in October. The course is imaginatively carved out of the natural landscape. The design features elevation changes, (some of them quite dramatic... includes a majestic vista of the Ottawa River and Château Montebello), fairway bunkers to provide additional challenge from most tee placements, and sloping greens that are difficult to hold and present fast breaking putts. The course was thoroughly entertaining from tee to green on each of the 18 holes. A great golf challenge and one of the prettiest courses as well.

Just over one hour from Montreal. This course wasn't easy but the breathtaking landscape and impressive layout make this course an absolute treasure. Any golfer will remember playing here. We went to the Fairmont after for a beer. 1 hour free parking for anyone. Well worth the small detour on our way back. Truly remarkable.

Nice track for being short. We played after some serious rain so the bunkers weren't very good and the greens were recently aerated and were not brushed off so the greens were sub par. Probably nice round in middle off summer.

Picturesque, mountain golf course. Challenging holes & great views. The course is in good shape, but long wet rough & tight fairways. Many uphill holes, make sure you are below the hole on the greens, downhill putts are treacherous. Not easy & plays long. Many holes are intimidating from the tees. Needs senior tees for men but you should play it at least once.
