Got told how I'm supposed to drive a golf cart! Duh!!
While the course is beautiful and challenging, the lack of cart service takes away from the overall experience that all other courses offer. Playing in 30+C and running out of water is not pleasant. What will it take , someone to collapse of heat exhaustion before a beverage cart is Implemented?
Greens and fairways are in great shape.
A very well maintained golf course. Greens are fast fairways are for the most part pretty flat but a great challenge for a short course. Will play again. Not much of a clubhouse. A must play.
Often looked down upon as a dog track, Puslinch is a nice simple 18. An 85 is a 90 anywhere else.
Friendly hidden gem with something for every level of golfer
Friendly staff, well kept course! Garrett and staff are the best!!
great staff and good course
Fabulous golf, weather and course.
The course was in fabulous shape. Always a fun game of golf.
Wife and I enjoyed the round.
Loved the greens.
Nice course well maintained
Thoroughly enjoyed this course
Thoroughly enjoyed this course
Good course - learned to golf here. Staff were probably a little more high and mighty than they should be (based on the calibre of course and proximity to the beautiful 401), but its golf and I was young and old people don't like young people slowing down their escaping from their wives I guess. (last here +10 years ago)
The course itself is a fun course and in decent shape. Prices are good too. BUT a marshal/starter there put us off the place. We got there early, checked in with the lovely last at the front and we're told to wait in the lot until just before our time as they are running a bit behind. We got to starter at 5min to tee off and the starter rudely told us we were late. We shrugged it off and teed off. Awaiting my approach shot on the FIRST hole as guys in front were slow on the green. The same guy drives up and tells me MY foursome is slow and needs to pick up pace. I politely told him the guys in front were walking, not very good and not playing ready golf. He grumbled, drove off, drove right buy those guys and left. I love a course that drives pace of play but man he was so rude.
Love the course, couple par 5's, reasonable rates without exclusive membership. Nice course, well kept, intermediate level. Good pro shop and well organized green times.
Great course
Beautifully groomed course, friendly staff, fairly forgiving, lol. The two holes (1green, 1tee) by the 401 are a bit noisy. Ill play there again soon.
Great shape, shorter course, doesn't punish bad shots too badly, pace was a little slow (Saturday).
Wow what a place full of excitement best polite and knowledgeable staff
Well maintained hilly short course. The staff all working here were very friendly. I booked our tee time online through their website which was convenient. It’s an extremely popular course and the fairways were close together making for a challenging play. There are warning signs by holes 8 and 9 as they are so close together. We were paired with a couple of local guys who play the course very often. They said they played 26 times this season already. The pro shop had a small selection of quality clothing and gear. We were rained out at hole nine so we got a rain check for nine holes with power cart. I look forward to returning. Our partners gave us good advise for lunch as well.
excellent golf course
Always enjoyable to play Well kept fairways, Greens and bunkers
Good course, accessible to all skill levels.
This is a great course. I've played it several times.
2018 Course in great shape. No carts yet.
This place is a mixed bag. Let me try to break it down for you: 1) A good chunk of the course is right next to the 401. You'll have varying levels of traffic noise your entire round. 2) The course itself is in decent shape, with the greens being darn near fantastic. Puts most GolfNorth properties to shame. 3) It is not a long course. Lots of par 3s and short par 4s. 4) They want a lot of money for a round of golf. Rates during the day push over $50 without a power cart. 5) It tends to be a very busy course with lots of league play in the later afternoons and evenings. Weekend are usually packed. Expect to wait behind folks.
Well kept, friendly helpful staff.
No cart service, very overpriced for what the course is, very slow play.
Nice course we'll kept
Excellent course and well paced !! First time there ans enjoyed myself
Great course, great staff, great times
Nice course.
Friendly Staff and I found the course to be in great shape. Marshalls went out of their way to bring water out to us on the course....it was a warm day! KS
Good golf course. People who work there were playing and forced themselves by us making us wait an additional hour as they forced themselfs by the next group too. Both groups had to wait on them the rest of the round.
This course is in excellent shape with some of the fastest greens in the region. While being on the shorter side it is perfect for a good walk. If the greenkeeper woke up on the wrong side of the bed the pin positions can be heartbreaking.
Nice ppl
Golf course is in good shape. Price is good. Quite walkable. Downside is it's very busy, and road noise from the 401 nearby.
Beautiful hidden Gem. Love this course.
The staff are very kind and patient. The courses are great but could use a bit of work.
Great value course is in excellent shape friendly staff
Wide open fun track!
I'd go e it 5 stars if Super Dave the Marshall relaxed a bit!
The course is way overpriced. They book within 7 minutes, we were backed up 3 groups and it took us 3 hours to complete 9 holes. We couldn't even pass because of the backup on the course.
The guy in the "pro" shop could learn some manners. Telling me that my grandfather was unsightly was extremely rude.
Nice track great staff. Just red and white tee boxes no blue. Really enjoyed playing there.
I loved playing this course up until this round. Never been pushed like today, to play a round faster (3 1/2) for 18. Won't be back anytime soon.
It’s absolutely embarrassing to be 3 hours and 15 minutes to play 12 holes. How do you mess up your tee times so much that you are this backed up on an executive course - it’s gross! At least the sausage taste great and the greens are well kept. Bogus Pace! Absolutely unacceptable!
While the course is beautiful and challenging, the lack of cart service takes away from the overall experience that all other courses offer. Playing in 30+C and running out of water is not pleasant. What will it take , someone to collapse of heat exhaustion before a beverage cart is Implemented?
Par 70 with a 65 course rating. Holes can be quite close to one another so be aware. Greens were medium speed and well groomed. Noise from 401 can be a distraction when your ready to hit a difficult shot.
Great course!
Always well maintained, affordable, a little shorter than other courses
Great course to play and well maintained.
Always in great shape!
Great course and fantastic staff. Good place for a quick round.
Course is in great shape
Decent enough course. Well maintained. Unfortunately for my first experience, the amount of golfers they had booked on the course in the late morning was set for every 15 - 30 minutes. Meaning I was experiencing pressure from other golfers to speed up my pace; some even asked to go ahead. An annoying circumstance but one I can understand considering my lack of experience. Regardless, Puslinch Lake Golf Course should take those situations into consideration before over scheduling and pressuring golfers into an uncomfortable pace. It's also worth noting that each hole is a little too close to the other holes around the course and creates a hazardous environment if golf balls are being shot by amateurs nearby; which they are more often than not. Not much can be done about that, but if they spread out the schedule, then it should help.
Nice greens can be slick sometimes. Made a hole in one on the 8th hole in 2017.
Decent shape, pretty short, greens in good shape and pretty fast. biggest complaint is that I had to shout to my playing partner over the constant noise from the 401.
Got an online 2-for-1 from “UnderPar” and had a great time with our foursome. Exceptional value for a clean, well-maintained and relatively forgiving golf course.
Looking around
Gorgeous shape and beautiful play. Only a few blind shots but they have bells set up. Staff is very professional and friendly. Always a good time even if bus they keep the flow of play. Never feel rushed even when packed. Great job to the staff and green keeping staff!
Greens great shape ,pace of play on par
They have the best staff, kept things moving on a busy day
Great course for the average golfer. Was in great shape.
Should be good I work there.Been greensiding it since 1980
Great place for a golf game but watch out for the big hill.
Its in great shape
Very good. Course is in great shape. Very organized in these Corona days
Relatively well maintained at a very reasonable price range. Green is tough. Very firm. Not sure if it is the weather or always this way.
Course is always in great condition
Pro shop was more interested in taking food orders of people over the phone then letting us pay for the round. Felt overpriced for the quality of course.
Pro shop staff were friendly, but...course is overbooked, we waited 15-20 minutes at each hole. Too expensive for a low caliber, low quality course. Marshall was extraordinarily rude and ignorant. Will never play here again.
Great course with challenging greens.
Great course for everyone.
Unbelievably rude Marshall...had a down syndrome boy watching and riding with me...accused me of not paying for him and to keep up...meanwhile we waited at every hole..Will never go back and advised people to not either...unprofessional corn field...
Great marshalls
Slow playing
Very nice course narrow, if you slice you're going to lose a lot of balls.
Course is not the most challenging, but is a fun round with solid conditions. Great for beginners and anyone who enjoys a relaxed round.
Well maintained good pace of play few holdups any suggestion no cart no water any where. Put out jugs of water on course so you can refill water bottles.
The course is in amazing condition! We teed off on time. The staff are friendly and made you feel safe with Covid-19 precautions such as providing hand sanitizer and a mask before entering the pro shop. All round great experience!
No beer cart.
Love this course!
Well kept, course management needed at times. Price is higher but the course somewhat justifies it.
Golf place to enjoy
Nice condition and a pretty course but a lot of shorter par 4's makes shooting a decent score pretty easy. Also, because there's a lot of shorter holes, play can be slow moving.
We were late and they still fit us in which I have to say much thanks for. It was a great day out with family and the course was in good shape. Will be back for sure. Cheers
Course is an excellent condition????????
It's in good shape and have great people Played great for 1st day
Good golf course for average golfers. Always good price.
Course is dry even with the rain. But Mgmt doing a great job under covid rules
Great budget course, very well kept
Course was in fairly good shape. Lots of youth and they need to spread out tee times as we were only 2 with cart and waited at every hole.
We had wonderful experience well organized and totally focused on all the Covid-19 protocol.
I love this place. It's short and sweet. They always do a great job maintaining the greens which is the most important thing imo.
AFTER WAITING 30 MIN ON THE FIRST TEE DUE TO A GROUP OF 8 (NOT ALLOWED) DECIDED TO TEE OFF TOGETHER, I WAS QUITE WORRIED AS TO HOW MY ROUND WAS GOING TO GO. FORTUNATELY THE STAFF FINALLY TOOK TO THE 1ST FAIRWAY ABOUT 100 YARDS OUT TO TELL THEM THEY HAD TO LEAVE BECAUSE THERE WAS NOW APPROXIMATELY 3 MORE GROUPS HALF HOUR BEHIND YET TO TEE OFF. AFTER THIS, AN ENTERTAINING 10 MIN OF CURSING AND DRAWING ATTENTION THE GROUP LEFT THANKFULLY. THE REST OF THE DAY WAS PERFECT AND STAFF WAS ABOVE AND BEYOND AWESOME AND CANT WAIT FOR MY NEXT ROUND. 10/10 THANKS GUYS
$40 for a cart seems a little pricey but it gives you a little cover from all the balls coming at you course was OK but very crowded and not worth the price
Horrible conditions for this time of the year
Very good, well maintained ????
Nice place we just had our company golf game there
Decent short course good price
Course is in great shape And the team of staff are fantastic
We live in Paris, Cambridge and Kitchener and we love this course. And the people are great as well. The course is relatively short but, for seniors like ourselves, it's a treat.
Pretty nice, well maintained course and great greens but not worth the $70 price tag we paid. A little on the shorter side for golf courses as well at ~5,600 yards and no blue tees.
Decent course but over priced.
Great to be back golfing. Fastest greens we have played this year. Could use a drink cart but beers available at the clubhouse and even an attempt at a patio.
Nice course. Really nice people!
Favorite golf course in the area . Great staff . Well kept greens and flow is on par ! Lol well done to Garrett and his staff
Course is in excellent condition - fairways have really come back from the drought & heat.
It's late Aug. '21; Covid protocols in place and more importantly, being practiced. Starter was very helpful volunteering current conditions and what to look for. Signage was also appreciated for potential hazard, i.e. hornet nest. The course is in very good condition.
Great layout and well maintained. Had a great 18 holes here.
Fantastic course. This was our first time playing here, everyone was friendly and the course was a lot of fun! Highly recommend
Tee blocks and greens are very close together on some holes...too close. Hitting into a green with tee blocks behind and also to the right. Course does not reward long ball hitters of 300yrd+ drives. Some short parts 4s. OK course...keep your driver in the bag.
Not a bad course if you're not a long hitter. If you hit anything longer than 250 yards off the tee you're probably just hitting wedges all day. Very slow play for the length of it though. It took me 4 hours and 20 minutes. I was waiting on tee boxes for over 10 minutes sometimes. Everyone there was very kind, but I would suggest that the marshals force the twosomes to play together. We were constantly waiting on the tee and there were two twosomes ahead of us. Just doesn't make sense to do it that way on a busy day when play is slow. So just be careful about going there during busy times. It seems like it's a bit overpriced for the quality of the course so I would also only play it when you're getting a deal.
Greens were quick and in the best shape I have seen in the last 20 years.
Always in great shape
Coarse is in great shape. Also well set up for Covid avoidance
Great course, great staff every time
All thought my best golfing days are behind me this course is beautiful and also very challenging.
Very disappointed. Marshall was EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional. Booked for a group of 8 with a tee time of 10:38 started late because they screwed up and couldn't figure out what to charge to start. Finally got to tee off only to wait for another group to finish on the first hole (which I have no problem with) Marshall came up and asked if I was an avid player. After telling him no its my first time and huffed and moved on, only to come back n tell us we had to hurry up bc they booked a tournament and they were waiting to tee off. So we decided to skip the first hole n move onto the 2nd. While waiting to tee off on the 2nd hole the Marshall came back. He was told that we were not very good golfers. He preceded to laugh in a woman's face bc we weren't "pro" golfers. He then told us we had 2 options go get our money back or leave without our money!!!! Can't believe the audacity of the whole situation. They're over booking, extremely rude staff and the Marshall shouldn't even have a job! It's very disheartening seeing the negative reviews regarding the rudeness and unprofessionalism of the Marshall and nothing has been done!!!! Definitely NOT worth going here. I advice unless ur a professional golfer u do NOT golf here. Worst service I've ever seen! ????????????
Great place
Friendly staff who made sure people followed procedures to socially distance but still have an enjoyable golf game. The course is in quite good shape...greens are dry so fast. Good for intermediate level golfers.
Well organized to help everyone keep a safe distance. Course is in great shape. We'll be back.
Short course but fun
Fun day in the course
Thought I’d sneak out for a quick round after some pouring rain all morning. Nobody on the course really so that was nice. Also the course drained really fast. Fairways and rough were barely wet and the greens were in great shape and pretty fast. Started pouring again when I got home. Great day.
Beautiful course with great staff! A bit difficult for beginners but a great course to spend an afternoon at!
Best part of this course were the greens...fast, soft and receptive. The course is short. Lots of seniors playing. Round was great, my son and I walked 18 holes in 3.5 hours. I enjoyed 4 of 18 holes. My favourite was the 15th hole par 3 downhill. Hilly for half of the course and flat the other half. It's walkable though. There are 2 puslinch lakes locations on google maps!! See my other review on that location too!
Course is in great condition. Friendly staff. Great overall experience
Puslinch lake is a great course that is always in great condition the 3 times I have played it. I think they overbook a bit as there is some waiting in between holes, but overall, a great experience and fun course to play.
Awesome time
When i play this is my preferred course
Poorly maintained greens but otherwise a decent course
Nice course , as always. Friendly staff .
Mid level golf course but beautiful
Excellent course, very well maintained
The best greens outside of the GTA. Beautiful course, short, but well layed out. Some of the nicestpeople work here too. I love playing here.
The course itself is well maintained but be ready to be waiting 5 minutes at every tee block because of overbooking and slow play. At one point there was 3 groups waiting on a tee block to tee of which is just ridiculous. One of the groups behind us left at hole 8 because it was so backed up. Not worth the price
Went for the first time last year and looking forward to going back. The course was in excellent condition and the pace of play was quite decent. Staff were friendly and I could find no real faults. Recommended.
Pleasant surprised by the condition of this course. It's short, but still offers a nice challenge. And the greens were very good.
went here with a few buddies on a Sunday afternoon. Got an under par deal which ended up coming to around 25 bucks each which is a great price for golf. The staff in the club house and beverage centre were great . Was held back for a few minutes in order to hear all the covid rules being explained by an employee in the parking lot which ended us getting to the tee box about 2 minutes late. There was no one behind us and the course was fairly empty. Got mouthed off by the elderly starter who was working there who was condescending and frankly the only reason why I will not go back there. Course is well kept but track is boring. Good for beginner golfers but young golfers beware! That starter doesn't want you golfing "his" course.
Some of the best greens in Southern Ontario. A very forgiving course excellent for the intermediate player and once again the greens as slick as goose... Fast
Well taken care of golf course. Generally pretty quick rounds.
Not a bad course. A bit overpriced if you can't get a deal. Course is in good shape. Some holes are noisy near the highway.
Its has a beautiful view from a far, since everything is locked down. I pray I get a chance to play one day
Happy with all who work there very friendly and very helpful to everyone who may need some assistance for hatever they may need. Today was a great round of Golf weather cooperated. It was a very good day for all who were there.
Very nice course. Some very challenging holes. With some nice par 3 mixed in
Nice course for newer players. Very good staff.
Played here 1st time today, course is nice but start times need to be spaced better, spent a fair amount of time waiting for groups in front and groups behind right on our heels. No beverage cart on course :( but lovely man on the course (not sure if he worked here) asked if we needed water it was very hot, not sure what he would have said if we said yes but was still a nice gesture. 9th hole is a bit dangerous, can't see down the green and other players not directing as stated on signs. Course is easy mostly straight away on front 9. Pro shop and cafe well stocked.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Course was well groomed. Enjoyed it.
Not a long course but we'll maintained
Nice coarse, friendly staff
Great course and amazing customer service. Thanks for all your help Garrett!!
Very slow play course is over packed. Very short course. Overpriced. No nice views. The greens and fairways are in ok shape. Holes all very close together mixed with a lot of newer golfers with Marshall’s that have no clue how to keep the holes from piling up with golfers. Makes for a long day.
Expensive but well maintained. Loved playing the course. Customer service great. Worth the extra money to play from time to time.
Nice golf course
Arrived 6 minutes late for tee off time each of us coming from opposite directions. Even checked Google time maps for approx. times. The buffoon in the pro shop was incredible rude. I worked in a pro shop myself for 6 years and I would never talk to someone like that or bellow to the tee off guy to "get these guys hurrying up". We teed off and hate to wait 22 minutes to play our second shots. We've played this course at least 300 times over the past 4 decades. That day we came to commemorate the passing of the father of one the players who always played in our foursome. The guy in the pro shop not only upset our day but also cast a horrible shadow for all those good times we had before. Shameful treatment not only to us but to golf in general whose very bases is about respect and appreciation for the game. I recommend you get a passport for Hell before showing up there!
