There have been a lot of renovations done here, there is still somethings that they need to fix but way better then it use to be. One thing they need to do is clean the pine needles, rocks, pine cones and leaves off each hole. It’s frustrating when you are playing and your ball gets stuck. The indoor mini golf is absolutely horrible, needs major work.....there are 19 holes. Some holes have 2 holes in one and one hole has 2 cups on it, not sure how to score the game when there are 19 holes and only 18 on the score card.

Adam

Indoor mini golf is a joke, assembled with garden centre bricks, 2x4 obstacles, etc. We paid $17 for two of us to golf 18 "holes".

Brad White

Lots of repairs needed to the mini golf course (indoors and outside). For the axe throwing they just hand you the axes and tell you to read a sign with rules. No coaching or supervision. Seems unsafe to me. Driving range looked OK and we were still able to enjoy mini golfing despite it not being visually appealing.

William Muir

Not quite how I remembered this place growing up BUT if you want a place to hit a couple buckets of balls it'll do the trick. If you really want a facility to work on your golf game (traps, chipping, pitching areas) head to Wedges N' Woods in Cambridge.

Rebecca O'Donnell

Went to the batting cages in the past, they were fine nothing special or even nice. Just fine, but now they require you bring your own bat and helmet. I just have to ask what batting cage doesn't provide the equipment? I have never been to …

Dushyant Puri

How about putting yardages on those big white barrels on the range? Takes very little time and paint. Otherwise good facility.

JS Danyluk

Disappointed again. Perhaps a recent wind storm played a role in the disastrous condition of the facility. Staff are always disengaged. Mini golf was barely playable. So much wasted potential.

Brent Horst

It's a place to hit balls. Not much to it really. Does the job

Babar M

I came in to play the miniput and the pretty much every court area has been destroyed in some sort of way. Ripped turf, broken poles, path ways are messed up. I wouldn't recommend going to this one unless you have very good company.

Doug demmans

The tees off the grass was extremely poor today. There was no grass, I was hitting balls out of dirt. They need to move the blocks around more often. Other than that it was fine. $15 for a large bucket of balls

DJ Ludington

It's close to home! Not the most amazing "golf centre" mini-put is kind of falling apart and needs a make-over. 3 driving ranges. One just outdoor. Another is a 2 level outdoor range which is also run down and the mats/tees need replacing. Indoor dome was ok, hot! Overall its ok here and there crack a bucket of balls or take the kids mini-golfing. But really....a few hundred bucks and a day of work would make his place like new! 13$ for a "large" bucket of balls is a little high but could be worse! Mini-put is WAY overpriced in my opinion, owner is definitely not a major golfer, run by a bunch of teens day in and day out. In the end ot JUST makes a 3!

Steve Lehmann

The mini golf course here is what I envision you'd find on a post-apocalyptic movie set. It's just functioning, but everything is falling apart. Even the clubs were worn round.

Chris LeDrew

this used to be the best place around for mini golf. we took the red course and i must say i am very disappointed with the condition of the course. it has deteriorated big time. wood rotting away. greens not kept clean. i spotted at least 3 exposed nails. we took our family tjat is visiting from Calgary and was completely embarrassed. will not ever visit again even if the other activities are good.

Bernzie Baby

Compare to other driving ranges, the price per bucket is too expensive. Moreover, the quality overall of this place is not satisfying.

Katie Neil

So very, very disappointed. But then again, I should know better by now. I used to visit a couple times a week for the batting cages, and only once have I used the outdoor and indoor mini putt. I agree with everyone that the mini putt needs some serious TLC, it is very unfortunate having to play alongside an unused water "feature" that's turned green and smells bad. Everything the negative reviews speak of is true. My biggest annoyance is the batting cages. My twice weekly visits have toned down to once, MAYBE twice a month. It's like getting a really bad hair cut, then going back a few years later hoping they got better - and walking out with the same bad hair cut again. Not anymore, I'm done with Max's. I guess now I'll have to travel further and pay more for an experience that's actually going to benefit my batting abilities (Hello, Athlete Factory!). As a lefty, there is only ONE cage available in slopitch. If they tell you, "Oh, you can still use the right handed ones", it's lies, don't do it, you'll waste a token. The left one is often out of order, so I usually call to make sure it's working before heading over. Yesterday, I was driving by so I opted to pop in instead. I asked the new staff member (there's ALWAYS new staff) if the cage was working. There was a blank stare, a long "uhhhhhhh, I don't knowww", then she slowly backed away to ask an older gentleman (owner???) if it was working. He wasn't 100% sure either. He told me that one of the fast pitch cages wasn't working, and I believed him. Made my way down to the cages, low and behold, the left one was out of order, again. I decided to swing a few in the fast pitch at the end. The pitching zone is SO WIDE that the placement of the plate means absolutely nothing. You have to have cat reflexes to jump out of the way or risk getting hit. I got smoked in the hip. Also, the pitch delay on the fast pitch cage needs to be adjusted. There's almost no time to reset your stance before the next one is trying to kill you. It's honestly just one problem after another. The troughs that hold the balls are dirty so the balls get stuck, constantly. And when you call the number they posted to "help with batting cage problems", the staff is slow, uninterested, and unapologetic. Pitches are widely inconsistent. It took over a year to adjust the left cage so the swing follow through would stop hitting the netting. If you've never been before and want a relatively cheap experience, giver a try. But if you have any plan of actual practice, forgettaboutit. One final thing - when a customer tells you they got hurt, I expect a little more than a "uh, huh". An apology is the bare minimum. You all suck.

Brendon Carson

I can't believe I paid $8 for the indoor mini golf. Outdoor looks like it would've been fun but it was cold so we played indoors. I would've had fun for $2 maybe but $8 per person is insane. The online picture is deceptive. It's terrible. The obstacles are hilariously lame and were painted by a grade 2 art class. The holes are shallow so the ball easily bounces out of them. It's very dirty. There is no 9th hole, it goes from 8 to 10. I'm not sure if this was meant for kids but I can't see kids enjoying it. Please do something different with this it's such a joke compared with the outdoor one.

Scott Leggatt

Batting cages. Maybe 2.5 stars would be perfect but 3 stars is too much. Price reasonable for what you get. Lighting is dim and the machine we used threw about 20% of the balls were not hitable...bouncing in front of the plate etc. For a beginner or for a bit of fun you could call it 3 stars. If you are a decent ball player looking to improve your swing this probably a 1 or 2 star place at best for you. The price is the only saving grace.

Gord C

Basic driving range, with very poor soil and grass conditions. Dry and very uneven. No chipping area and no distance information.

cat boy

Solid Mini Putt courses + a nice driving range. Great for a trip with friends!

Jeffrey Gamble

Indoor golfing range, batting cages, indoor mini putt, inflatable balls that you wear and compete against eachother, outdoor mini putt and driving range!!!!!what more could you want all in one place!!!!

Nate F

Brutal. Came here with a team for some batting practice. Only 2 softball machines work and one hardball. The machines are brutal, they don't have enough balls. The machines still pitch after the light is out and the session is done. Fix your machines, you missed out on a good chunk of money. We won't be back. Used to be the best place to come to knock the cobwebs off. Now it has the cobwebs. Fix your equipment.

glenn williamson

Mini putt was awesome... but always pick the red course . We didnt look at it carefully when we picked blue. We had a great time. We will be back for another round this season

Lindsey F

Very disappointing, its very run down clearly the owners don't care to do any upkeep. The mini golf course green had a lot of wood chips on every hole made it very hard to play. I wish I read the reviews before I went I have some of the same complaints as other people. I is very dirty in the washrooms and office area. This place used to be really great. The mini golf clubs are not good either. one video game worked. They seems to spend a lot of advertising on the radio they should cut back on that and clean the place up!

Gursimran Bhateja (Grey)

I loved this place while going through university. Now having just paid $18 for a medium bucket to hit off of 10 y.o. mats (or a combo dirt & grass that hadn't been cut in a week - see other reviews) I'm sad to say I won't be going back. Jim's Driving Range is 10 times the quality for a fraction of the price.

Lisa Fritsch

Played some bubble soccer the other day! It was super fun, but we were not being monitored at all. The ground where you fall was uneven and hard and some of the bubbles were slowly deflating with no one around to pump them back up. Had someone gotten hurt there would have been no one to help. There were nets around the edges when the balls goes out you're running through tons of golf balls on the ground to get it and it's really dark in the dome. Not to mention we could've walked out without paying and no one would've noticed. Bubble soccer is really fun, but is on the verge of totally unsafe at Max's.

Alex Haack

Great spot for family-friendly activities! The driving range is great with lots of different options including a top deck to hit off of. It's also pretty budget friendly which is a huge plus.

John T (Catmang)

Should never play blue side. Red is better Masks are over priced and so is sanitizer so bring your own. Masks here are 8 for $5.00 and are disposable

Alina Knarr

Absolute GARBAGE!! $20 down the drain. Tee blocks are nowhere near cut short enough. Every shot is like hitting out of the rough major price gouge!!

Lori Gibson

Had SOOOO much fun! No idea there was so much to do here. I thought it was just golf and mini putt, but there's these cool trampolines, helicopter rides, and archery tag coming soon! Ben wants to come back for bubble soccer. ????????

Adrienne Gilbert

I like to hit off the mats here. The staff is friendly and most of the facility is in good condition. Their balls could use an upgrade but all in all its a great place to hit the range. They also do lots of other things, mini golf, axe throwing, batting cages etc. Lots of parking but nothing to eat.

Dion Sharma

DO NOT GO HERE FOR THE BATTING CAGES!!!!! There were only 2 out of the 8 cages "operating" and the pitching mechines were jammed up on a regular basis. Also, the machines only have 2 dozen or so balls, so if you have 25 pitches it's going to take you at least 3-5 minutes to cycle through if the other cage is also in use. When I complained to management about it, all he said was "the unit is older than me, what did you expect?" Terrible machine, even worse management; bottom line, stay away from this place!!!!! They were given 1-star due to giving me a refund; but that wasn't from the managemen, he chose to hide in the back when I asked for a refund.

Martin Butcher

It's an ok place. Not the cleanest and they don't seem to want to invest in updated equipment, everything seems well warn out. Missing alot of the plastic tees on the driving range and mats are warn out. It would be nice if they spruced up the place and invested in some infrastructure.

William Bulovas

Incredibly overpriced for a bucket of balls at the driving range. Many of the mats were uneven or incomplete and needed to be pieced together. I wasn’t impressed.

Corri Daniels

My husband and 3 son in laws went to Max's Axes for some guy time. They were so looking forward to it! They were charged 135 dollars and given one small hatchet that was dull and broke on the first throw. So 4 guys and a broken hatchet. Great times. We have repeatedly tried to get some kind of a refund, but the manager will not respond to emails. Broken equipment and really poor customer service. If you want to throw your $$$ away, this is the place for you. What a dump.

Eric Horn

If I could give this less than 1 star I would. Absolutely awful. Went to use the "grass tees" and they are more like dirt tees . If there is grass, it's not cut and is like hitting from the rough. Absolutely useless place to golf.

Darcy Davis

Unfortunately the place feels neglected. I can understand that a business may be in a tough place, but showing people you care by simply sweeping the greens occassionally can go a long way in making an effort for your clients and keeping them happy.

Brian Beauchamp

Do NOT come here to use the batting cages. They have the absolute worst machines I have ever seen. Half the balls won't make it to you the other half either double feed or are at chin level. The axe throwing seemed like someone had the idea ”we could do that!", spent an hour putting up an area and a couple destroyed targets then went to home depot and bought the cheapest axes possible. The targets were so destroyed, perfect throws wouldn't even stick in half the time. Absolute waste of money.

Karr Machan

The batting cages were not working properly at all despite having them checked by staff. Half of the coin operated games were out of order. The condition of dome was terrible and had a terrible odor. Will not be returning any time soon, would not reccomend this place!

lindsayk

Grass area for driving range is dirrectly behind the axe throwing cage. There is no roof on the axe throwing cage. Not a good mixture where they serve beer. Golfers drive responsibly, stay away from grass driving area unless wearing batting helmet and soccer bubble. I compare the mens bathroom to the one at Finch subway station. They need to get better golf balls or swap out the ones from the 90's. Staff are friendly enough but the place is too run down and dangerous to compensate.

Dave Hardy

Turrible. They aren't even trying to provide grass tee blocks. If you're looking for somewhere to practice your driver out of the rough, then this is yout place. If you're looking for a run-down establishment with apethetic staff, then this is your place . Turrible. Jusy Turrible .

Steven Merswolke

The quality of the range does not match the price of their buckets. $17.50 for a regular sized bucket is too high, in my opinion. The mats at the range were uneven, could barely find tees, and their wasn’t even the mat attachment where you dump the balls. Overall not very impressed.

Nathan Brown

Came here for a game of mini putt with my daughter. staff are friendly and the price was great for 18 holes of mini putt. We brought our own putters cause they have the rubber ones which are terrible. The water wasn't turned on yet I guess …

Chris Hawkins

It's always fun, but on the downside, the grass was torn up quite badly and the balls cost a small fortune.

Lamar Martin

Spent 30 dollars on tokens to use the batting cages and half the pitches didn’t even come to the cage. Landed on the hill. Can’t say I’ll be back right away

Jacquelyn Poulin

Don't waste your time with the batting cages. Of 6 cages, only 2 were slo-pitch, one lefty and a righty. The righty cage wouldn't work unless the lefty cage was also going. At times I was waiting 4-5 minutes between balls, until eventually I gave up. $4.50 is disgustingly overpriced for this place. Will never return.

Cecil Hayes

The new Axe set up is worse than brutal. Axes have been replaced with tiny hatchets. Target boards are spruce 2 X 10 plank that won't hold an axe. To top it off. They gave 5 of us 2 hatchets to share and limited us to 2 targets. Waste of $175.00. Big shame - we loved the old set up.

Deuce

Ever since the new owner took over she doesn’t care anymore about the batting cages. Lucky if 1 machine is running, nevermind if they even have enough tokens to give you to use the damn things! Sincerely Mr I’m still waiting to use the 1 operational machine tonight.... only come here because it’s close, no other reason at all!

Nicole Molinaro

Way too overpriced. Paid $17.50 for one bucket of balls. The driving range was completely empty, yet the staff insisted that the two of us were only allowed to use one stall since we only had one bucket left.

Varun Vasudevan

Tried out mini golf for the first time ..was so much fun that since then i have come back 2 more times. Also tried the batting cages and driving range.

Sanjeev Rajput

From the reviews I expected this place to be worse than it was. You can tell a lot of people have gone mini golfing here cause it looks a little wore but me and my family had a great old time here. The mini golf courses start easy and get a …

Ethan Tse

We went to play mini golf on the Easter weekend. The whole course was full of dried up leaves and pine needles. The balls got stuck everywhere. Very embarrassing to charge over $50 for 4 ppl and we couldn't even play because of the maintenance of this course. Will not be returning.

Jen Robert

As most of the reviews on here state, very poorly maintained. I'm always disappointed when I come for mini golf, indoor or outdoor. The Greens are messy and makes me wonder if anyone ever goes through to clean them. The indoor course is just as messy, and just looks dumpy. Used to love this place as a kid when it was Maui's. Won't waste my money here again.

Tom

WAY WAY overpriced. No wonder they don't advertise the prices. I requested a small bucket of balls and it was over $10 and I was asked if I was going to use the matts or the grass. When I said the grass, the price went up. I couldn't believe it. The grass was like playing out of the rough ( not like I ever play out of the rough ). I mentioned the thicker grass last year but I guess my opinion fell on deaf ears. Will start to hit the baskets at Grey Silo or Tri-City Golf ( Shantz Station Rd.near Maryhill Golf ). Better facilities and less expensive.

S. Clayton

The grass tee blocks are hurting! They are trying to fix but the demand at this place is crazy. Super busy!!! Still a fun time.

Ethan Kratz

Just a few things for management to take notice to, otherwise it was a good experience with consideration for the professional, friendly staff and general ease of online bookings. The price for 2 people was nearly 40$ after tax which I felt was a little steep due to the lack of maintenance on the 2nd floor tee off surfaces. I had to piece together our surfaces with material from 2 or 3 other tee off surfaces as the rubber tees were missing on most surfaces and some booths did not even have a proper (or properly fastened) tee off surface. It was quite busy that evening and they remain open during the pandemic. I'd be more impressed with the price if they could improve their physical facility services in the future.

Jeff Pys

Grass T areas are more like first cut of rough. Driving range landing area looks like a junk yard and for $17.00 almost for a large bucket of balls that look like they just came out of a pond and then were run over by a lawnmower...best to go go somewhere else.

Shaan Dua

Loved the variety of activities available! Bubble soccer was so fun and contrary to other comments, we didn't feel unsafe at all! Fun for all age groups :)

Bailey Hanna

If you are a golfer who wants to hit balls to get better and improve your game do not go here! They charge you more to hit off the grass tees! In theory a good idea if maybe they had some turf management skills. The grass tees are only good if you want to practice hitting out of the deep rough. One positive is that they invested in new range balls.

Graeme Tooley

Mini golf was fun. Clubs are sanitized after each use. Staff was polite.

Fraser Hay

Visited in April. Can confirm, place is a bit run down and poorly maintained - owners probably very hands-off. Staff on my visit were disinterested / unhelpful teens. Indoor mini-golf has some loose stones and cheap construction, but it's functional. I had fun, at least - but not sure it was worth the $9. Sadly this is one of the only mini-golf places in the area. I noticed that the only bathrooms were porta-potties. Just don't expect much.

Frank Fulton

Driving range leaves much to be desired. Basically no grass at all to hit off of. Just dirt. Years of neglect have made the driving range almost unusable

Derek Lackenbauer

It really has a lot of what it was. Staff also seemed to have little interest in you being there. Not a friendly feeling.

Daniel Stefan

Great place to hit golf balls , too bad they have no distance markers to see how far your actually hitting, outdoor sod is pretty rough.

P C

This place has lots to do for the whole family. From batting cages to mini putt to Axe throwing to driving range, there is something for everyone. I have done mini putt, batting cages and driving range. Haven't done Axe throwing yet. Prices are decent and staff is friendly and nice.

Sarah Jane

Over all we always enjoy ourselves. My daughter (8) loves the mini putt. Worst part was the farm smell from the stables across the road. I was nervous of the staff though, just because they were all so young. I didn't let my daughter go to the washroom alone just cause i didn't feel 100% certain she'd be okay. Price is ok.

Norm Platt

Its a nice place to spend time with friends. Staff is helpful and they got the price right for the most part. I have been there a few times and indoor Mini Golf is good. My friend who knows nothing about Golf had a good time too. The best …

Mike McKay

This place is a disaster. Old and run down. Tried to get through 10 tokens at batting cages but the machines are constantly broken. Came back another time to try and use tokens... Same problem.

Tiffany H

Went for the bad reviews, was not disappointed. Staff was very friendly they get the 3 stars. The actual venue was run down and very poorly maintained. Beer was extremely over priced. We did the mini golfing maybe the other activities are better deals.

Chelsea Scott

I was there with friends last weekend, we had a great time. We played mini golf and tried the batting cages. We spent about an hour there and had a wonderful time. The staff was very helpful, and despite the poor reviews we had a great time and it seemed very busy, especially on the driving range. We have already talked about going back again soon.

Tom Chen

Prices are decent but place is very worn down. I think some serious maintenance is needed. The mini putt is very fun and there are a lot of spaces for the driving range. The mats for the driving range is extremely worn down but if you hit from a tee, it's no big problem. The mini putt needs more work as the balls don't roll straight some times. The grass tee area isn't as big and only the tee off area is pretty much brown now from the golfers destroying the grass. Overall, you get what you paid for and for driving range + mini putt, it is a good experience.

Jake Hiebert

This place is awful! Your hitting off dirt. The odd time you do find grass it's 2 inches long. The yardages are all wrong and not posted. If your looking to practice or get better this place is to be avoided.

Alyssa Williamson

Went here on a weekend, staff are nice and do their jobs well. HOWEVER, we went to the batting cages and the machines were irratic at best. I was hit by a hard fast ball in the hand while batting because of a broken machine; one of the 2 that were actually operational at all. The batting cages have a liability notice on the door which I guess means they can take your money and allow you to get hurt with no accountability. This is unacceptable and irresponsible business ownership. Staff were nice about it, they said it happens all the time but they have no control over this what so ever. Sucks!

Sherry Bradshaw

This place has gone waaaaaay downhill since the last time I was here. The indoor mini putt was atrocious. It shouldn't even be in use. Green is all ripped, full of dirt or gravel. Its just the green and the hole, no special houses or anything to shoot through anymore. Id make them pay me to play again at this. Ridiculous

Sherry Bradshaw

Definitely over priced for the condition of the course!however we had a fun family night and enjoyed playing mini put. We played the Blue course. The course could really use some work though! Lots of rough spots on the greens and almost fell on a broken board on the walking path, I believe around the 16th hole. Please watch your step!!!

sarah alemany

Don’t even bother coming here and using the driving range. Way over priced and the quality of the mats are terrible. Take the extra time and drive to Jim’s driving range. It’s cheaper, better and the staff are friendlier

Scott Reidner

The place is going downhill. We were at the outdoor driving range. We had to ask for tees and the mats are all broken and worn down to nothing.

Aidn Shoni

Shockingly poor. There’s really no reason to visit this place. Went with my family as we had time before a performance at a nearby theatre. …

Glitch Vlad

Was there for mini golfing. It appears no money is being spent on this part of the business. …

Kim M

Went for indoor mini golf for the first time today. Went in, used the port-o-potty and ended up leaving. Dingy, run down and needs a good cleaning. The drive way is pot hole central too.

Cam Brake

Great spot to bring the kids or a friend for a variety of fun activities from mini putt to batting cages. There an indoor and outdoor driving range as well as indoor and outdoor mini putt. They also have virtual golf courses for you to go …

Lizi M

Ive been here twice for bubble soccer with my family and for the most part had 2 great experiences. The staff is a little untrained when it comes to dealing with first aid and most of the rules are not for saftey but to not break any of their equipment. The last time i went in early December, the staff let my family hit each other really hard to the point where we went flying...literally. due to there not being a rule against this, i broke my leg. The staff unfortunately didnt know how to help at all so the process of getting to the hospital was alot harder and longer im still recovering 5 month later. This isnt the only situation i know someone has gotten injured either. Im not saying dont go here but just keep in mind that you very possibly could get injured like me, tearing a ligament, breaking a bone. Its also common for this here so judt be careful

Michael Bierstock

Used to be nice, but they have let the Mini-Golf turn into a dump. Every year it gets nothing but worse and worse. Things break and they just leave it as-is. No more waterfall, no swinging log, obstacle rocks are missing... I could go on. If someone from Max's is reading this, please show it to the owner and ask him to do something about it!!!! UPDATE - One year later, then this place is falling apart even more. I think it finally qualifies as a Dump. Bricks everywhere, many obstacles are gone, and the "ponds" look like drained swamps. So sad - looks like all they really care about there is the driving ranges. Do KW a favor and finally do something great with the mini golf - the could make it so good, but just never do. So sad......

FFTW Development

Decent facility our of St. Jacobs. Turf could use a re-lay and the parking lot needs to be renovated!

Nick Young

Nice little place to spend some time with the family. Putting was very affordable. They could spend a little more time with keeping it clean and upgrade the green carpet. The water was drained, so the the pond being dry make it a little less pleasing. If you have the right company it’s all good.

Julia Song

A place to scratch the golf itch during covid. Docks are spaced well and the online booking was a good idea to keep line ups away. $25/hr a little steep but worth it to get out of the house for a while.

Elsie Grogan

The outdoor mini golf is very disappointing. We have been going for years hoping it will eventually get an overhaul but it is getting worse. The last game we couldn't play one hole because a sprinkler was soaking the area, two others the ball got stuck on broken AstroTurf and every hole was covered in mulch. How hard would it be to sweep away mulch every morning before customers arrive?

Janice Kraemer

Took our niece and nephew to mini golf this weekend and were appalled at the terrible condition of the courses. Pine needles and mulch on the course interfered often with our game. This place is sadly neglected and needs a complete makeover.

Daniel Shippman

This place is a liability!! What a waste of money! Paid $30 for mini putt and it was beyond horrible. Course is dangerous, tripping hazards everywhere. Putting greens are dirty and covered in rocks leaves and pine needles. This would take 5 …

Jamil Bacchus

Was my first time there for mini golf. The golf course wss oksy but carpet needed replacing at some holes. However the overall area was in disrepair. The water area looked terrible. Not sure if there were problems or it was undergoing maintenance but there were hoses lying around and wster seemed rusty looking. The numbers for the holes were all faded as well. Its these little things that makes a place pleasing and you wanna be there rather than hurry out. The mini golf course overlook the driving range and that whole area appeared unsightly ss well. I did not go to any other areas so i cannot comment. Odly enough there was an outdoor patio but no one was sitting out. When i have to shell out hard earned cash whether it large or small i like to get my moneys worth. I didnt feel that way. They have been there a while and should not take things for granted. I probably would go again but not in a hurry...i will look for alternate areas first. I give them 3 stars out of five.

Josh Hornblower

Embarrassing! Run down and overly priced. I took my wife and son and will never go back unless it gets a full makeover. It’s the middle of summer and still no water on. I can’t believe they charge full price for this.

Chris Hayward

I enjoyed it and so did my kids

Shane Roy

If you are going there for the batting cages then dont waste your time or money. Its safety hazard just walking in there. Leaks from the ceiling where you bat, over half the machines didn't work properly, multiple jam ups, power outages, inexperienced staff, no reimbursement if you lose your tokens or get half of your pitches and balls come out when the indicator lightisnt on. It may be convenient if you live in Waterloo like me but if you need batting cages, dont waste your time and money. Go to Playball Academy! Another thing to note in case you are dropping your kids off is that nothing is locked like their mechanical rooms, multiple electrical hazards and fire code violations. They have already been reported. You have been warned!

Dan Quinn

Wish I could give 0 outta 5 stars here.. took our son mini golfing today thinking it would be great.. the place is a dump.. honestly I’m trying to be nice but the mini golf is as if they took curbside garbage and put it on the course. …

Ben Dover

Good Covid protocol by booking online for an hour timeslot. Let's get the grass tees open now.

Trisha Weiler

It's not climate controlled. No heat. It's cold and damp. Run down, overpriced. Looks like a dumb. Tried taking our dad and son for the day. The place is not being taken care of. Won't go back. Total disappointment.

Michael M.

Nice little place. Not that busy when I was here. Three mini-golf courses (two outside and one inside. Two driving ranges (one inside, the other out.) A batting range. There is kind of axe throwing thing, Its not great. And the place is a bit run down. Overall a fun afternoon.

Indoor driving range prices are extreme. The outdoor price for a large bucket is $15.5. This is high too, but when they charge $31 for an hour usage for the indoor range (which gives you just enough time for a large bucket) it is just too much. I won’t be using this unless they adjust their prices to something reasonable.

Bryce Nealy

Mini Golf was fun. Beautiful view. Lots of space. Two courses to chose from. A little run down but still a good golf.

Max McKee

putting "greens" could be in better shape and the course could be more creative, but overall a fun place and good price

Mike Russell

Max's Sports world is improving on all there activities and will soon have Archery War and outdoor bubble soccer in the near future! Helicopter Rides are now avaliable every Saturday for $50 a person or 3 people for $120

Tyler Dixon-lennett

Definitely over priced for the condition of the course!however we had a fun family night and enjoyed playing mini put. We played the Blue course. The course could really use some work though! Lots of rough spots on the greens and almost …

Elliot Cho

Find a better kept driving range than this one. There driving pads are old and ripped. The golf balls need replaced. The yardage signs...well don't exist on the artificial pad side. A bench along the wall wouldn't hurt if you wanted to take a break from the " Large" bucket of balls that they force you to purchase at $17.50. They have other sizes, small and medium but won't offer you one. Never again to this unkept dump!

jeremy dingman

16.50 to hit a large bucket of balls ?? With all the golf deals you can literally almost play a whole round of golf for that price ! If you arent a golfer but just want to hit ballbal advice is to go to a golf course that has a driving range. You will pay half the price to hit the same amount of balls ! The mini golf course was awful and falling apart. The batting cages are disgusting. The machines throw inconsistently. Sometimes one right after another.

Nick Booth

Brought the kids for batting cages, staff were friendly enough, said 2, 3, and 6 (5 now too) were down for repair, first one is fastball baseball(not for kids under 12), #4 slow softball left, tried #5 but didn't work and out of order. Looked for staff down there no one available. Went and got a coin back from the front desk. Waited for the only softball machine but it only shot a ball every 2-4 mins for the family using it. We weren't going to wait for their turn we would still be there! Went to get my money back for the 5 tokens(17.25$) I bought but couldn't use, would not give a refund. They allowed us to play mini golf in exchange for the coins (we played indoors) kids were entertained, but it's a mess, we ended up doing 20 holes following the course, some you could tell we're just taken from one large one to 2 smaller ones now. Dingy and dirty, it's a shame because there is so much potential for a unique place like this, but needs major repairs. I won't be back till I hear it's been fixed. Also the men's Washroom is disgusting, smells like a warm full outhouse with no water to 1 of the urinals that I used. Don't bother going here, unless you want to be disappointed.

Kyle Coulas

One of the worst business ran called the day before the book a driving range time for two people lady took my info over the phone showed up following day for the set time and got turned away due to the lady did not put it in the system and could not accommodate for two people

Marc LaRock

I thought it would be a great outing for my family. What a mistake. the hole place is very run down and unkept .I understand the radio station generally get paid to be on site but id be embarrassed to be promoting this place. 2 of the 3 video games didn't work , the slushie machine was out of order, the mini golf course is coved in wood chips and some of the clubs are bend the rubber protection for your hands is missing or coming off. They should stop paying the radio stations to come and use that money to clean the place up. The washrooms were very dirty the office area was also very dirty.

Jeff MacIntyre

Setup well for a "no-touch" experience. The mats were in good shape. Enjoyed the time at the range.

Dave Neugebauer

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Clearly no money is being spent on upgrades let alone maintaining this venue. Don't waste your time or hard earned money here.

Andrew Fox

I'm a serious golfer and come from Mississauga to hit balls in the dome from December to April. There is nothing like this in Mississauga anymore so this is where I go. It serves the purpose. The pricing is very fair and the facility suits …

Curtis Larocca

$18 for a bucket of balls. 1 size fits all. Grass tees are like hitting in dirt every time I have been there. Maintenance is poor. Mats. Even worse. 90% of all mats on the 2 levels are missing various pieces and have NO rubber tees. I …

Peter McMahon

Very reasonable price for 11$ per person per golf course. It was fun and exciting consisting of 18 small courses. Wished they had maintained it better in fall as there were leaves all across the course which made it hard to play. Still worthwhile to go anyday.

Michael Eppelmann

The indoor mini golf was less than mediocre. It was expensive, noisy, there were no opportunities to take a seat in between and the mini golf courses were both dirty and in disarray: The bricks marking the edge of the courses were often not at the right position any more. No one of the staff walking around seemed to be responsible.

Nate R

Batting cage was absolutely brutal- out of 25 pitches maybe 5 were hitable in the fastpitch. Most didn't reach the plate before hitting the ground. Staff was pleasant enough, but machines definitely not worth any $$

M Irwin

Stay far away! I recommend reading the review by Mario, I didn't before hand now my wife wants a divorce. 16 holes on the indoor putting, honestly garbage!

Jason Kieswetter

Would not recommend. Mini Golf here used to be great back in the day, but needs a major renovation. Very dirty and the balls always get stuck in a couple of the holes, so you don't even get to finish the game properly. Also, the water feature hasn't been working for a couple years now and it just looks like a huge dirt hole. It just needs to be torn out and needs a whole new course put in. Not worth the money. Wouldn't bring your children here.

Margaret Maynard

Nice grass!

Norman Wise

Rough. This place has seen better days. We did visit early May so a lack of greenery was expected however things were run down. All greens were covered in pine needles (easy enough to remove with a broom once a day) and many had rips. The atmosphere was shabby and felt like no one cared about it. We wont be returning despite the cheap enough price.

T C

On the one hand it was nice to get out and and hit some balls indoors during covid, but on the other hand, the place felt like it hadn't been cleaned very well and the hitting mats are tired and worn. The balls are black and dirty. I guess I'm saying the place is better than nothing, but nothing to write home about.

Aaron Doherty

Over priced dump! The inside lobby was nothing special; it was the mens bathroom. Broken tiles, huge holes in the wall, gross ceiling and floor. Toilets, sink, and broken hand dryer were all equally stained, stinky, and made noises as if they needed service. The putting area is a complete dump! The mulch was all over every single hole! Could not even play properly. All the water features have been off, since before last time I played two years ago. The bricks surrounding the putting greens are visibly missing, broken/chipped or laying on the greens. Some mechanics are certain holes, such as downward sloping spirals were so poorly maintained that the turf blocks your ball from continueing (red side, hole 12 or so). I cant believe it is this bad, the place could be so, SO much cleaner with 2 days of one labourer simply sweeping/clearing debris, remortaring the bricks, trimming and re glueing the turf, giving the gardens some proper mulch, pressure washing the water features, followed by reconnecting them (or replacing a faulty motor), and other small details. This owner must be incredibly cheap to have such poor maintenance of this place.

Carol Baker

Mini golf was fun!

Matt Thistle

Indoor driving range is really small. Golf simulators are pretty fun but a little unreasonably priced. It's $40 an hour to use the simulator per person, which I would be ok with paying if the facility was in better shape. The dome looks like it's a little bit run down which makes the prices on activities seem high.

Dennis Baker

It's fine. Not the nicest range. But fine for hitting a bucket of balls

Thomas Uniat

They don't think they need your money and they make sure you know it. They randomly close the range early and tell you if you want to hit balls you have to pay premium to use their simulators. I've just been leaving when that happens. Used to go twice a week but things have been going downhill there a lot lately. Strongly recommend VR Golf on Victoria instead if you're over 19. Better beer, better simulators, same price.

Jerry Sabet

I used to really enjoy this place but the new owners/ management are just awful. When we mentioned to them that we wanted to go to the driving range they overcharged us for mini golf instead (without telling us what we had paid for) and told us after the fact that we weren't allowed to use the driving range since we didn't have our own clubs. So we were basically forced to play mini golf on a run-down course with the owner/ manager lurking around us and other families for 10 minutes. He was just leaning against the fence WATCHING families play and getting a little too close for comfort. Not to mention no one working there knows how to properly wear a mask. Just sad what this place has turned into.

Patrick and Christine

It's a fun place to go but it's in need of repairs. Place is looking rough but we had fun playing mini golf. Some of the bricks on the edges of the holes had fallen off. Its hard to tell which hole is which with the numbering being written …

Aaron

***Extremely run down with the current owners, nothing has been touched in years.*** Winter pricing for the driving range is by time, and that obviously says that whoever owns it does not golf at all, but is just trying to make a quick buck... pricing by time drives avid golfers away, talk about shoot yourself in the foot. The outdoor grass tees in the summer are horrible if you are a golfer, they would be the equivalent of "rough" on a course. The covered mats are mix of different old mats and most do not have tees, or the tees are too long, too short, broken etc...once again they obviously don't want to cater to avid golfers but families and kids and people who just want to hack at a golf ball once a year with an ancient rented club. outdoor mini golf is okay, the indoor is a joke and there is gravel all over it so good luck putting a ball straight LOL If you are an avid golfer, you probably wont be happy.. all the windows for the outdoor range are full of dead insects in between the panes, absolutely DISGUSTING and embarrassing. ~Bottom line is that this place is doomed unless the owners pour some money into it to make up for years of neglect, and the dome keeps falling down because they let the snow pile up on it, and then transfer the forced repair costs onto the customer..that can only last for so long... Really sad considering we have such a large golf community here.

Ritch Wiebe

Bubble soccer for birthday party. Kids had a blast , mini golf after. Party room is a flash back to the 70s needs some attention. Kids didn't care thou.

Daniel Stuckless

Came here for mini golf. Fairly dingy and old environment, but I had fun being scared by the various props on the mini golf course. Why are there so many gorillas? Better lighting would be appreciated.

Ralph Johnson

This place is NOT good to book a kids birthday party at. They do not have a party room for your stuff to be safe in. They have to much staff sitting around doing nothing and they do not offer helping with taking The kids golfing. The bathroom is a mess the indoor golf course has garbage on it old leaking slushy cups laying around

Gary Weppler

Charged extra on top of a GroupOn, calling it Tax?? Courses are deteriorating. Looks like they are just waiting for the Smart Centre to expand. Used to be a good place. Looked at the indoor area. Maintenance appears poor.

Kim Widdes

It's the only place in town. It's run down but it gets the job done. We just hit balls on the driving range.

Greg Kelly

First off fix your damn parking lot. Don’t be afraid to spend some money and fill in the craters. Secondly, it’s a golf dome. That apparently closes an hour before it actually closes so indoor football can happen. Lauriers turf is wide open. Get back to golf

Jon

I just came back from the batting cages and it's a little disappointing. I got first ball out the machine fairly quickly but waited 10 mins for the next one... then they came out very sporadically. Like one every 5 mins, then three consecutive balls, etc. Also, I'd go elsewhere if you're looking for something challenging. Their "fast" cage delivers balls at about 30mph (stated 50 kph), so I wouldn't necessarily call that fast in comparison to some cages I've been to. Very poorly lit and the equipment is not maintained very well. Gave a star as the employees were nice.

Brent

Went out to hit some balls in the slo pitch batting cages. The place is a little beat up and could definitely use some paint and fixing up. However the lady at the cash was helpful and got us set up with tokens. We went for the 15 tokens …

Joseph Carson

This place used to be good but has unfortunately went downhill. The prices are not justifiable AT ALL. $20 at the driving range for a bucket of balls that is not that big and the quality of the tee blocks are horrible. Better quality options that are not as expensive elsewhere. I will not be returning.

J L

Short, easy holes, and the course hasn't seen any maintenance in the last few years. The water features are now an algae pond, and it's not just an off-season thing as we originally thought. Don't go to this place for the mini-putt. Driving range is OK though.

Henny Heupel

I’d like to be clear that this review only relates to the driving range. Firstly, the medium sized bucket was very over priced. $17.50 for a medium. The quality of the grass terrible, it was more dirt than grass. I’m not sure when the last time the tee boxes were moved (forwards or back to let it grow back). In the few patches there was grass in the tee boxes it was 2 inches long. It really goes to show how little maintenance is done, if any at all. Seriously don’t waste your time or money.

Bradley CM

Place is in terrible condition. The water stinks. The courses aren't maintained in anyway. They also don't admit you past 9:15 so that they can close at 10. Note to owners - close at 9 and accept people til 9pm to allow your staff to be done at 10.

Thomas Gutpell

It's the perfect place to warm up for my weekly golf game. The people are friendly and everything there is in really good shape.Today it was quite hot but, over in the area with the mats, there was shade and a nice breeze.Just what the doctor ordered.

Give Em Hell Bell

We feel that this place is tired and needs updating in lots of areas. Some carpets in the tee areas were ripped. Felt that many holes were similar style and some creativity would go a long way to improve it. Still our grandson had fun...but we'll check out other places.

Derek Lagrainge

Tees for driving range were pretty run down.just dirt no grass

Kirk Dennis

Social distancing and safe spacing as you line up are appreciated. Perfect day to hit a bucket of balls.

irondog kefalas

Meh. Okay facilities, prices quite high considering you can go to a real grass facility elsewhere for cheaper which has actual targets. The killer for me was the refund policy. You expect people to pay upfront but won’t give refunds if they need to cancel, yikes. Won’t be back.

Mr Joshi

Bubble soccer was a lot of fun but this place is very poorly maintained. Batting cages was bad. The ball kept getting stuck in the machines and there was no one ever around to help which was wasting a lot of time. They dont have drinking water there. Not enough staff.

M “2ba”

We were there yesterday afternoon, and I would actually rate it a ZERO ⭐️ or lower if I could. The google pictures are VERY misleading. It is nowhere close to being in that condition. We did both an outdoor and indoor mini-golf to see which we enjoyed better in case we wanted to bring our nieces here. We are truly glad that we did try them, as they were both terrible beyond description. The putters were warped or had the grips torn or ripped off. The outdoor mini-golf holes were covered in tree leaves, twigs, rocks. I spent more time cleaning the way to the holes than I spent putting! The water pond was stopped, green and full of mold. We then went to go try the indoor mini-golf, as the outdoor conditions couldn't be an issue, right? Well, the leaves weren't, but the temperature was not controlled as it was extremely warm inside. The bricks around the holes were loose and wobbly, causing the ball to veer off wildly if it hit the edge. And to top it off, there were not even 18 holes! (I guess that was somewhat better as it allowed us to get out of there a little quicker) And then as we are leaving and are walking through the lobby, I was asked by my g/f if I needed to use the restroom. As I looked at the Men's room, I then noticed that the urinals inside were completely visible to anyone walking towards the indoor mini-golf/batting cages. Add to that the two games (out of 3) that they have in their waiting area that were out of order. We had been expecting a nice day out at what looked to be a well maintained family facility. It was the exact opposite of what we anticipated. This place does have potential and would probably have more people frequenting it if it were better cared for, and maintained at a more professional level. It is actually pretty sad, and I would be truly embarrassed if I had ever recommended this place to any of my friends or family. Perhaps a foe of mine!.....but I would have to hate them so very much!!!

D Fitzsimmons

They really dont care about the golfers here at all, its more for familys to go. You drive in and it says open till 9, huge sign "range open till 9" spent an hr gettn there and guy says oh we close in 20 mins ( arrived at 8). As we leaving we realize its because the rent it out to baseball players to practice lol. I wouldnt have cared but put somthin on ur site or somthin jeez. And for they charge at this place it shouldnt be a run down dive. U can go play indoor golf at a place thats just opened up for less than this place and there better sims. In a pinch i do go here but i hate it every time and wonder why i come back. And i play a looooooot of golf.

Dave Neugebauer

It's the best place to work there if there 6 stars I would give them ????????

Ross Hammond

Mini-golf is in such bad shape - DO NOT play here! All it would take is somebody with a broom for a couple of hours and it would be playable, but obviously they don’t care enough to even do the minimum of upkeep.
