The golf course it beautiful. Hard for someone like me who only plays a few times a year. The food is the best around and the hospitality is great! I highly recommend this place for a golf game or a relaxing meal. And the parties are pretty good too!! :)

An absolute stunning course that is perfectly maintained. Unfortunately, the level of service is well below par. After the ninth hole, my group decided to stop for food and beverages. We asked for a French Fry, the only vegetarian option available, the woman let us know that it would take 7-10 minutes. We thought about it for a second and decided purchase two orders. As she turned around, she ROLLED HER EYES at us. I could not believe what had just happened at a private club. Unfortunately it is instances like this that turn excellent establishments into satisfactory ones. This was my first and last round here. The service is half of the golf experience. Too bad.

Great golf course, lots of character and some very senic holes on the back nine down by the Grand River. The course is relatively short and fairly easy to walk. No driving range and a practice area you have to bring your own balls. Update: As of June 2018, they have built a brand new practice facility with 40 yard long hitting net and a large putting/chipping green is on the way. The facility also offers club fitting services and great coaching staff, using the latest launch monitor technology. I highly recommend contacting Vic Ciesielski if you're looking for lessons.

Nice club house and patio area. The golf course is narrow and challenging, the greens in great shape. The way I played that day I was able to really enjoy the whole course, not just the fairways????

This is a wonderful establishment. The golf course is always in wonderful condition. The restaurant staff are always so friendly and make you feel like family every time you come in. My family and I eat at the restaurant regularly and we use their facilities for many of my companies larger meetings and banquets. I highly recommend the Galt country club

We just had our wedding here and it was perfect. What a beautiful place with the most amazing people. Suzanne and the GCC team were outstanding and a dream to work with. They are so down to earth and accommodating, it really helped minimize our stress levels leading up to the wedding and on the day of. Food was FANTASTIC. Our guests cannot stop talking about it. The grounds are gorgeous which made for a beautiful outdoor ceremony and amazing photos. All the members were also very sweet and accommodating and didn't mind sharing their space. We feel very lucky that we found this venue over a year ago. Definitely would recommend having your wedding here.

The staff are very good, friendly, prompt, and always willing to help. Food is good and served up fast for our Lunch meetings. A good place to have a meeting from small to mid-sized. As I'm not a Golfer, I can't rate the course, as I have only done it once and that doesn't make me an expert. Office staff is also very helpful.

We had our wedding at GCC and I cannot say a single bad thing about it. The staff were kind and knowledgeable and willing to work with us. The attention to detail that the staff gave our requests blew me away. They were able to implement every idea I had. The grounds and facilities are impeccable well maintained and upscale. The club members were incredibly courteous around sharing their space. I would highly recommend having your wedding at this very special and lovely place. You will not regret it.

Best golf course in Waterloo region! If your looking for a private course to join....you can't go wrong with Galt. The holes on the grand river are absolutely spectacular. The greens crew do an amazing job keeping the course in excellent condition throughout the year. Everyone at the club is really friendly too

I have played here as a guest on several occasions. The course is immaculately maintained and the course serves up an excellent golf challenge. The greens are fast and firm, and the fairways are manicured to perfection. The members are very friendly and welcoming and they obviously take a great deal of pride in their Country Club. The Club House and Dining Facilities are first class. If you are offered an opportunity to play this course, take it. You will not be disappointed.

It is a lovely course and meticulously maintained. The only draw back is lack of signage and course Marshalls to monitor slow play. I would definitely go again.

I had the privilege of playing this course for the first time yesterday. What a beautiful layout along the banks of the Grand River. The course was in great shape, and the staff and members were very friendly. An hour and a half drive, but definitely worth it. Hope to play here again.

I just had my wedding at the Galt Country Club and it was just perfect! The entire planning process from start to finish was a breeze. Suzanne, the Events Coordinator was a pleasure to work with. She kept everything running smoothly on the day of our wedding and I was so grateful to have her help! All the serving staff there were fantastic. Our guests raved about how about great the night was. I would recommended The Galt Country Club to anyone looking for the perfect wedding venue.

Played the day before the club championships. Course was pristine. They double cut the greens...and were in amazing shape and maybe the fastest I have played. Great round of golf. The fish and chips in the clubhouse are the best in the city!

Gorgeous course. First hole is challenging as there is a creek in front of an elevated green. Holes 13 to 16 along the grand river were breath taking. The course was impeccably groomed. Beautiful bunkering as you'll see in some of my pictures below. Very nice clubhouse too.

The building and main facilities are are exceptional. We went for a celebration of life, and there were over 100 people in attendance. The rooms are clean, bright and airy. The food served, sandwiches and dessert squares were excellent. The acoustics are good and the sound system provided excellent. For an affair such as a wedding or celebration of life this is an excellent choice.
