I came for a wedding ceremony and reception afterwards. Location seems perfect and with enough space to host an event. Outside of the reception Area there is a space to host the ceremony so guests won’t have to walk far to enjoy the party afterwards. Service seemed very good. Beautiful views and lots of green in the summer time.

You can tell that everything from the buildings to the course itself is well maintained. The pro-store staff and restaurant staff were excellent and very friendly. The food was delicious too. Overall just a great place to eat and enjoy the out doors whether you are playing golf or not

The staff and catering team are always on the ball. The food is flawless! They offer a great, quality package for couples planning a wedding.

Well maintained course, tough track, tee shots require accuracy, might want to limit the big dog. I had the benefit of playing with a member that gave some good advice otherwise I would've been short a couple more balls. Enjoyed the challenge!

Myself and a friend were in Calgary from out of province and brought clubs since we had time to squeeze a round in to our trip. We're both heavy golfers in the summer and picked Valley Ridge based off positive reviews. We showed up for our round and were told that the greens on the back 9 were being aerated so we had to play the front 9 twice. Fair enough considering we showed up on a Tuesday (Sept 24). The pro shop attendant said that because of that we got a lower rate of $60 instead of the regular $89, which was fair. He also said "it's too bad you booked online because you would not have known about the greens". An e-mail letting us know would have been appreciated since we provided it in the online booking. We get out on to the front 9 and the greens were fresh aerated themselves along with a heavy dose of sand. Had some roll to them but really took away from the round. Again aeration is a necessary part of maintaining a course, but would have been nice to get a heads up. Finally since we were playing the front 9 twice, there was a group of tee times blocked off so that each group could loop around twice. The marshal told us that they accidentally blocked off 6 tee times for 7 groups and asked us to pick up the pace so we wouldn't hold up the first group after the blocked times. This really irritated us as we kept both 9's just under the 2 hour mark (3:50 total round). It's a gorgeous looking course that is probably unreal when the greens are rolling and the whole thing is open. An e-mail or quick call about the conditions of the course before the round would have gone a long way. If you decide to play here, call ahead of time for course conditions.

Public golf course with a few challenging holes with altitude differences offset by a few holes that are completely lined with houses; but it still makes for a pretty course in the city. Club house has a restaurant lounge with a beautiful North East patio perfect after a warm round of golf. Food is good, and I thought the prices fair for the quality. They also host weddings and community events here. All in all a nice addition to the community. The restaurant is open in the winter months for four days a week.

We chose Valley Ridge Golf Course as our venue for our wedding after hours of research. Hayley and her team were super easy to communicate with throughout the entire planning process and very quick to respond to any questions or concerns that arose. We chose the venue for its beauty, as it is situated near the river and heavily treed with beautiful gardens and water features. The indoor valley hall room really didn’t require much for decorations with its beautiful high beams and large windows facing an array of fall colours on the golf course gardens. Our ceremony was on the outdoor patio. We lucked out with the weather and had the most perfect afternoon. The food was amazing and we have had many guests message us following the event to rave about the quality of food.

This bad review is for the rude attitude of one of the front desk (pro shop) staff member (one of the older gentleman wearing orange shirt today). I was asking him about the golf cart policy since this is my first time there (I'm from a small redneck town) and I'm not sure what the policy is. I was hoping that he would be more polite and willing when answering my question (as I asked him in a polite manner as well). The course itself is nice and well maintained. Definitely a challenging course. The lounge is really nice too.
