Fun course. Staff super friendly. Will go back for sure
Came for the city fire pit program. Clearly marked, easy access, and lots of room for everyone to gather. Can't say how the golf is but was a great location for a winter fire.
Notwithstanding the frost delay today, what a pleasant experience. The course is a bit shorter than some, but just the right level of challenge for a higher handicap golfer. Well maintained and surprisingly nice for a municipal owned and operated club. The price at $61 a round is a super deal. We will be back.
Great course for the Average player, reasonably priced, and beautiful views. Has some challenging holes both technically and physically and some easy. Be prepared to walk both uphill and downhill. Only thing is it runs along Deerfoot Trail so a little noise pollution during play is a given.
Good place for a round of golf
Great staff - very friendly. Course is well laid out, easy to navigate and not too tough a walk. It's only in adequate shape but lots of heavily water saturated spots, seems like not a lot of leaf cleanup occurs. Greens seem to have taken a fair bit of abuse.
Great course, great staff! Mike the superintendent takes pride in this course and it shows!! All the ground crew do a great job, I have been playing there for over 30 yrs and the greens have never been better! Just have to get some of the marshalls to tone it down a bit and stop power tripping.....you are there to enhance the player experience... not destroy it!!
Love this course. Wish it was closer.
Best kept city course surely. It's only lacking a great view.
A great day
Reasonably open. Enough trees, water, sand and hills to make it interesting. Course in good shape. Rough is getting longer and harder to play out of.
They Rock
Close to my home .
Very good course! Fantastic,, I shot a 90 today good day on the golf course.
(Translated) Spoon clean place and a restful and relaxed culture (Original) כף מקום נקי תרבות אחרית ורגועה
It's a intimate setting with good times for all
Great golf course, well kept. Typically fairly quiet as well.
Great place to toboggan in the winter with your children
Excellent golf and dinner. WELL RECCOMENDED!
Great city track, great price good greens
Great course, great staff
Nice forgiving course in the heart of the city. Very walkable, only 5 holes with any significant elevation changes. The long par 5 14th hole alongside Deerfoot Trail is a challenging hole. The par 3 13th hole is all down hill, very fun to play!
Great spot and course for any level of player.
Looks flat at the beginning and turns out to have rolling hills. Beautiful course surrounded by big trees and the view of the river is so pretty! Great fun : )
Rude
Good very reasonably priced course in the City of Calgary. The fairways are in a little bit of a rough shape but the greens are nice. Enjoyed playing this mature course and intend to be back
Customer service seemed patronizing and was rude to one of my colleagues.
Fantastic public course. Well manicured and friendly marshals. No dining room or cart service due to COVID.
Best city course.
Not a bad value for the price. The hills on the course will definitely give you a workout to go along with your round.
Great nine hole golf course.
Beautiful day, but DO NOT bring kids. The proprietor rudely told kids to stay off the course because they didn't have insurance for kids. Absolutely appalling and ghetto service for a golf and country club.
I showed up with my friend he was meeting with his dad and others to play, I was going to walk through cause I can't play golf anyway and the lady comes out and starts saying something so me and sam go back to pay for me and first I …
Great price and a really fun course. Would recommend!
Amazing beautiful place great service enjoyable golf
Was there for a tourney recently. The staff was not too friendly. I would not play at this course again!
We went cross country skiing there this afternoon, February 4. I just want to thank the golf course for allowing the public to ski on the course in the winter. What a joy!
Haven't seen the course look this good in 20 years.
This place is fantastic; I've never been to this area before.
Great course very well kept and a great challenge for new and seasoned golfers
9 holes. Great little course. Good value.
Beautiful views on this well maintained course
Year end men's tourney was a blast. Great food, good bunch of guys. Look forward to it next year
This place is awesome, never been into this neighborhood. Went to my, well Step Daughters wedding, the wedding ceramony was fantastic. I'd highly recommend people to check this community out for a visit.
Probably one of the most expensive city courses and was not worth the price. Even before we head to the first tee box, the receptionist inside told one of my friends his driver's license was no good when trying to rent a cart. No good? His license expires in 2 days, I'd say that's still good. She proceeded to tell him that if he tried to rent a cart tomorrow, she would not let him. His license would still be a valid the next day! Since when did gold courses become a provincial registry!?? My foursome, on time I should add, is at the third hole, the Marshall told us we were going too slow. Again, teeing up at the 9th hole the Marshall told us we were 30 minutes behind and after we gave him some grief he checked his timesheet to see we're actually 2 minutes ahead. He even had the audacity to suggest skipping a hole! I paid for 18 holes, either let me golf or refund me the skipped hole. I don't plan an visit Maple Ridge Golf Course any time in the future and suggest that if you do, try and finish a round of golf in 2.5 hours or the Marshall will be very angry.
Best municipal course in Calgary, great layout! A good challenge for players of all skill levels. Pace of play can be an issue sometimes - but where isn't that an issue on busy courses in Calgary?
I used to play at this course several times per week. The location was convenient and the course provides many unique challenges that I enjoyed. …

Maple Ridge is a pretty decent course. It is challenging with small greens and it’s pretty hilly which means a different play style than most courses. The reason that I gave this course a 3/5 was because the fairways and tee boxes are not well maintained. Most of the fairways are brown and super hard while most of the tee boxes are all filled in with sand which makes it hard to hit irons on the fairway. Another reason was that a few holes crisscross making it hard to navigate and increasing your chances of getting hit by a ball. Overall this is a decent course with super cheap green fees. If you don’t mind hard fairways and are on a budget this is the golf course for you.
Nice course and in good shape but a little pricey for a city owned owned course.
Great little hidden gem, had no idea it was there. Nice little 9 hole course with a little challenge. The condition was decent and the price is great.
Unfortunately with a dry summer the course hasn't got the water that's needed. It's the first year that I would say this course looks like a run down city course.
This small 9 hole executive course has teeth and is pretty challenging. The course is very well taken care of and is excellent value for the price. The fairways and greens are in great shape. The elevation changes was quite a surprise. …
Good course, reasonable rates. Easy going. This course is our go to for value. Challenging yet straight forward. Food is good too. Can't go wrong to play here as it suits all levels of golfers.
Photos and reviews do not portray the quality of the course at all. Although the rates are very cheap, the quality of the course is appalling and it's very unmaintained - fairways are like cement, and the entire course appears as if it hasn't seen a sprinkle of water all year long.
Love this place. The staff is the best!!
One of my favorite city golf courses in Calgary. Lots of great holes throughout, very well maintained, staff was always friendly for us, price is pretty solid, and we’ve always had excellent timing with the beer cart staff to keep us rocking and rolling throughout the course.
Gorgeous course super friendly staff, Marshall was a tad grumpy but overall a great day
Great city get of course. Amazing ataff
Awesome day. Well maintained xcountry trails.
Great brunch buffet
Love this course, it's typically in great shape. Fun layout and challenging from any tee. The only con is their volunteer course marshals. If pace of play is a concern they should include carts with every green fee. How can you enjoy a round on a beautiful course with great Calgary weather when you have 4 over weight gentlemen driving carts insisting that we speed up play. 3 groups on 1 hole?
Golf course is good, we enjoy playing there for years. Club house staffs and grounds keepers are very professional. But some of the Marshalls don't have what is required to work with the public. City management needs to involve people with intimate knowledge about the game to make decisions. Regular golfers feel being mistreated all the time.
Great place to get laid !!
I work here as bevy cart girl...the customers are fantastic as well as the staff. It's well maintained and beautiful. Bevy cart usuall sees every customer ever 3 to 4 holes
Good cross country sking
Great rates, friendly staff and very beautiful views. Deerfoot highway can be pretty loud at the begining but once you leave that area at the start it is not noticable!
Very good course considering iits a city course. Top condition. Always loved to play here. Best value for.money. Also it hs holes where tou get to practice different types of shots, which i loke the most about this course
Good course good fun course. A few of the greens were in rough shape but aren't we all
Doing a diligent job of fall preparation and leaf clean-up to extend the season as much as we can. It's appreciated!
Nice little track for those that don't want a full course experience. Some holes have great character and are very unique.
Feels like a private course. Super interesting holes make for a great golf experience
Great place to cross country ski. Groomed trails and easy access. No washrooms though!
Great course to walk on a sunny day, lots of shade and well kept greens.
Great course friendly staff.
Lovely place for relaxing round of golf ... In really good shape ..very nice indeed
It is a municipal golfcourse in great shape
Nice local course....well kept greens
Great course! Beautiful, wide open fairways, lots of mature trees. Was squute challenging with all the different levels of elevation but overall a really fun course to play!
There's golf ⛳
First time playing this course. It was a windy fall day but it was still fun. Greens were in great condition. Looking forward to playing here again on a better weather day.
It would be nice if they had a better food/ drink selection for the "later" crowd... they couldn't even provide ice! Course is lovely and sufficiently challenging
Love this golf course!!
No wonder why it was so hard to book! Best place to golf in the city. And the reason why is it doesn't even feel like I'm in the city.
Good x country skiing in the city. They cleared the parking lot for the very first time, so no street parking is required.
Amazing city golf course, well maintained! Very affordable and a good variety of holes par 3-5!
Maple Ridge is a nice golf course. The best City of Calgary public course possibly. My rating takes into account the proximity to houses along some holes. I'm a high-handicapper golfer and often hit errant shots, meaning the possibility of ending up in someone's backyard is high. I could do without that embarrassment.
One of the best city courses in terms of maintenance and condition, and have been golfing for years. Marshals are terrible; were very rude, told us to speed up play which made us hit into the group ahead of us, making them angry. We finished both the front and back nine 7 minutes ahead of time on a busy Sunday, so pace of play was not an issue. Not impressed with our experience today and will absolutely think twice about continuing to golf here simply due to the conduct of the course marshal.
Probably over 20 years since i played Maple Ridge and it was a great to be back..the experience and course was great.
Good when it isn't raining
Really appreciate the quick 6 offer! Course is always beautifully maintained and staff is friendly and helpful.
It is kept in good shape and with a mixed of challenging long and short holes to keep golfers engaged. At city course pricing too making this very good value for the money.
Solid course, they have great deals for twilight and late day rounds. The course has a very picturesque holes.
Had beautiful Sunday. Not to hot. Take a cart. Makes it so enjoyable. Cheers
Golf course fun as usual..just sad about that beautiful deck being so wasted.....
Rude staff
Excellent course and no water features on back 9 which helped us conserve balls. Great variety in fairways and different challenges. Fun!
Great value course. Very well maintained for a public course. The staff are very friendly. I always feel at home at Maple Ridge. 6100-6200 yards from Blues is a perfect leisurely round. About 6600 from blacks and really changes up the course. Good mix of bunkers, water hazards, dog legs, elevation changes, etc. Just a very well designed parkland course that any golfer of any skill can enjoy. Only con is no driving range but a great putting and chipping area and 2 very forgiving holes to start the round.
NO FOOD.....!
A gem
Nice layout for a city course
Great public course and in good shape this time of year. Inexpensive relative to private courses and challenging. Golfed here a number of times and always have fun.
I have played this course well over 100 times in the past 10 years. It's a challenging well-maintained course (the rough is lush and deep-you have to hit the fairway!) and the staff in the Clubhouse are excellent. My issue is the lack of control over who plays the course, which can create pace of play issues. Mapleridge Golf Course is not a physical rehab facility. If you need exercise to regain your mobility, go for a walk. Elderly seniors who can barely walk 10 feet, even with a cane, do NOT belong on this golf course! It's impossible to maintain any focus being stuck with somebody like that. I never once saw on an-course Marshal during our round. So my advice to the course is: get your Marshals out there, make sure everybody is moving alone and keeping up with the group in front of them, and get people off the course if they can't keep up!
Good golf course with some beautiful views of downtown. The staff is very friendly and the rates are very good.
One of two City courses that I frequent. The course offers a variety of different layouts and is kept in great condition!
It was dead we were the only ones there. Lady came and told us to get out. Not impressed
Nice nine hole course to shape your game.
Great course., lots of improvements. The staff & management are awesome also.
Nice little track great staff, will definitely do it again!! ????
Still a little to damp to really play a solid game
Golf course is in great shape. It offers a great challenge from all tee boxes with many of the fairways treed on both sides. Many bunkers will also test your accuracy on approach shots. A great golf course to play at a very reasonable rate.
I'm from Saskatoon Saskatchewan and this is my first time playing in Calgary and it was a pretty fun course. Definitely recommended. Not to difficult for people just beginning such as my self. Been playing for 2 years and this was a great course.
Decent course but staff aren’t great and they are awful at answering the phone. Would be nice to be able to book online or at least see their business hours
Fun and convenient for cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Thanks for clearing the parking lot!
This is the best city course and very reasonable green fee. Get up early for weekend tee times, but you can find open times when people cancel. No driving range on site.
Very unfriendly staff.
Great little course
Called in to book for 6 holes for $16. When I arrived they said the person working there made a mistake and booked in wrong time spot and would be 36$. The staff member didn't try to resolve the problem. Passive staff. Course was nice tho.
Decent coase for a city coarse. Nice staff
One of my favorite courses to play in the Calgary area! Good prices, fun but challenging holes, decent quality greens, and a good location in the city means this course gets 5 stars from me!
For city course was very good. Pace was suprising fast 4 hours 29 on a Sunday
Well kept course great staff
Ok place for a quick putt
Maple Ridge golf course is a fantastic deal for the money. It is my favorite City run course and is in great shape. If you want some exercise it is walkable or you can rent a golf cart. There are enough trees, sand, and water to make you think about your game but it is also fairly forgiving. I probably golf here 12 plus times a year ... yes its lose to home. The staff are always very friendly and the work hard to make you feel welcome. Check it out you won't be disappointed.
Cheap drinks no food options other then chips a candy.
Good little course. Nice relaxing setting.
Great course to learn, lots of challenging shots!
Payed way too much for the shape it’s in. Don’t even get to play the greens on the last two holes. Don’t waste your money here
A nice city course to play. Some of the grass in areas can get a bit long, but well maintained overall.
Very nice 9 hole course.
Super nice staff and the course is in great shape
Good course, especially compared to the other city courses. It’s a tough play as most holes are pretty narrow but it’s definitely a fun course. The location is easy to get to from anywhere in the city, being next to the Deerfoot can be a little noisy though. Come give it a try and you will be pleasantly surprised.
fun course. will go back
Love this course. Enough of a challenge for a seasoned golfer and not too challenging for your weekend hack. The greens and fairways are kept in great shape.
Course overall us in great shape, couple of dead spots in the greens, a little rain will fix that right up. Not too busy, great place to take your buddies.
Great city course. Not pretentious but still high quality.
Fairways and greens are in great shape.
Beautiful course, but really difficult to book tee time.
Great place for a quick round and a pint or 2. Staff are amazing and always helpful
This course is deceiving. Though it is 'only' an executive nine hole ... don't underestimate it challenges. …
Not bad shape, greens pretty slow but had fun
I liked the course there. But the marshal is on you and feel rushed. I don't like being rushed to golf and pay that kind of money to feel like that.
Very basic 9 hole course but exceptional for the price.
This golf course offer a variety of lessons and classes such as beginners, clinics, and special events. Although the sport is expensive for most people it is still more affordable than most other activities.
Nice little course.????
Long course. Higher quality players there. Better etiquette than most other city courses. Great way to spend 5 hours.
A very nice 18 hole city course
I was there yesterday first time playing golf, I was surprised that it’s very challenging golf course. In my opinion it’s a mini Belmont golf course in Langley. I love it but the downside is that it has no signage to the next Tee is, at …
Best city course until this year. Looks like there hasnt been much maintenance. Fairways are terrible, tee boxes are dirt/hard. Would hate to see this course keep wasting away. Definitely the best city course when maintained.
One of the best "bangs for the buck" on the Lower Mainland. Only $27 for 18 holes (senior rate). Challenging little course that gives you a good workout. I am happy to drive there from North Van. Well worth it.
Fun ladies night! Course could use a little extra grooming, but still had a great time! Staff are great!
Its a fun course. I find some holes quite challenging.
Fairly decent course. Good price
