Attended the Lions Christmas Light display for an evening of sledding on Christmas Eve. We enjoyed the beautiful light display and met a family from Syria who had never sledded before. Truly a very special evening. So grateful to the Calgary Lions Club for continuing this amazing service.

Haven't golfed here, but it's a great place for xc skiing in the winter. Lots of trails for such a small area and regularly groomed. Doesn't get much better in the city. Bring a headlamp if you go after work because it is not lit.

Likely the best 9 holes in the city. As others have noted this course is challenging. Hole 8 is a par 3 at 236 yards. Only thing bad is that some of the fairways are starting to look like a washboard.

Very well decorated for Christmas. Sledders are everywhere, so if you are not careful, you could be hit. Parking is on the streets only and can get very congested, so get there early to enjoy the festive lights.

The start of 2018 had excellent snow in Calgary. Confederation Golf course was one of several golf courses that the local ski clubs have been grooming for cross country skiing.

This is a public 9 hole course. It is rated as advanced. It has 5 par 4 holes, 2 par 5 and 2 long par 3 holes. Clubhouse services provided and driving range as well. Power carts are available, but the course can be walked easily.

Great driving range with two levels: iron only sections, a dedicated lessons section, and you can flip the turf to left or right-handed to accommodate any player! Balls are purchased with coins and filled in an automatic dispenser; 7 bucks per coin which gives you 50 balls. Looking forward to trying out a full round. The greens and fairways look nice, a well maintained facility! 5/5 would recommend!! Oh, and they sell beer and refreshments, a small selection of food as well!

The funny thing about this is I have no idea how good the golf course is or not, but I do know that in the Winter it is home to the best sledding in town, bar none! There is a really long ridge so that many kids can slide at the same time. No lining up! There is even one area that starts further back and up and goes through a golf hole bunker to launch kids and adults into the air after a huge lead up! At Night there is a gorgeous Christmas lights display each year to celebrate the holidays at a time of lengthy darkness. If sledding is not your thing then you can cross country ski here in the track that goes around the park. There are hills and sweeping turns on the track as well as lengthy straightaway to get your exercise in as well. Parking is not too difficult to find along 24th Avenue and if that ever is an issue there are several side streets that don't need permits for parking. But do try the sledding here. It will tickle your tummy as you fly down.

Growing up, this was a place I always visited and still do. Half buckets are $7 and a round on their 9 hole is between $32-$36 depending on the day. They have a 2 tier driving range now, but the upper tier is only for irons. Must be due to beginners launching into the neighbours. Haven't played the 9 hole in a while, but looks very well maintained.

Really a great place to go sledding in the winter. The festival of lights make it a great place to take the family to enjoy the lights and for a fun slide down the hills. Also fun for get togethers with friends or family from out of town. A fun place to visit while the lights are up.

Was just here for the driving range, its been a long break from golfing, nice to start again. Confederation still hasnt changed much from all those years ago so for its age its really well maintained and with 2 levels for the driving range theres usually spots open. People are nice here and buckets are of a very fair quantity. Maybe ill get a chance to play a game here soon this season.

They need to put up a proper back fence on the range I can almost carry the fence with my 3 wood, I don't dare use driver here. Warming up for a round isn't great when I don't get time to hone in my Driver. I see signs there about where you're even allowed to hit driver from, so I'm sure that home owners at the end of the range have filed complaints. Put up a proper fence!

I have been going to play golf at Confederation Park for about 20 years. Is it the fanciest course? Nope Is it 18 holes? Nope Can anyone play it? Yep! I think I find the reason why I have been coming back year after year to play Confederation Park Golf Course is that it actually has 2 decent length par 5's, you can easily walk the course, although there are some hills and elevation changes, it's a lovely little course generally well maintained and we always have a great time playing there. It only takes just over 2 hours to play with plenty of different holes and you get a great little workout. Hidden close to the city center, it's easy to get to and usually pretty easy to book and get on. The new putting and chipping area is fantastic and the newly designed last hole is terrific. It's a nice way to spend a couple hours of your day to get away from it all and enjoy nature... and golf!

We love this diving range. Friendly staff and well maintained facility. Good for the family and patrons at this location are so friendly, too. We've been to other courses where people seem annoyed with families, but this one is welcoming. Good prices and there are often promotions and special events.

Confed is a nice course and I always enjoy golfing there except when I run into this one marshal. He is always on a power trip and rude. Marshals should speak to people politely and respectfully.

The course is in terrible shape this year - I won't be playing it again this year. They are charging full pop for the worst greens I have seen in years. The fairways are in poor shape and the tee boxes are also in brutal shape. 2018

Such a well kept city course. Pricing is good and the staff inside are all really friendly. The new chipping green is great and a much needed addition. The range has brand spanking new balls now, which is also wonderful. The range itself is nice and long. However, you really will have a hard time doing any practice for controlling distance and shot shape because they have no distance markers or distance marked flags. All they have are they janky old signs, whose distances are most certainly not accurate. The driving matts also are pretty on the el cheapo side with not very good grass feel. Many have no way to adjust tee height either which is totally rediculous and really inhibits beginners from practicing properly..

First time playing this course. It's a nice 9 hole layout that can penalize you if you're not hitting from the fairway but it's short enough that a good drive in the appropriate spot can set you up nicely. I liked the greens, a little slower than what I'm used to but with a bit more pace they rolled pretty true. Definitely would like to play it again.

For a free place to ski it is amazing. Always nicely groomed trails, always nice people saying hi, many spots to park and entry ways onto trails. It has a beginner's trail/practice trail. I've only started going this year but have been around 10 times already. If you want to use the lot, it can get busy around 10 am. I haven't done later than 9 (when the parking lot opens)

Went to the driving range and played in the shelteres area. Was a little diapointed that it wasn't heated as the concrete throws of alot of cold. There should also be a golf ball machine down there.

Good 9 hole course but has an odd layout. You play three par fours in a row to start followed by back to back par fives. Really makes the first five holes a slog. Course was in decent shape but some areas should have been marked as ground under repair that weren't. City staff are always friendly and accommodating. Will play again and hope the condition improves throughout the summer.

The winter lights are a beautiful experience during the holiday season! The only feedback I have is for folks to make sure they wear good footwear and just be careful. The trails are sanded, but it can still be really slippery in spots especially on the hills.

What can be said about golf. If you are a golfer then its fun. I played a week after they opened up for the season and the course wasn't the best yet. Give mother nature a chance to do her magic and it will be fine. As usual in being a city course some players don't care about etiquette. Looking for balls. Not raking sand traps. Not repairing marks they make on the greens. Good course though. Well priced.
