You will see all the reviews of real people who have information of the products and services of Blue Devil Golf Club (Golf) near Calgary (Canada).
To this day the firm has a rating of 4.2 stars over 5 and that score has been calculated on 127 reviews.
As you can see its rating is really high, and it's based on a large number of scores, so we can think that the score is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to give their review when they've done well with the business, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to place evaluations when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Golf is included in the category of Golf course.
Great course. Played it 3 times this season and it was in great shape every time. A little on the easier side, but holes aren't too far apart from each other so you can occasionally find yourself on another holes rough (or fairway if you were way off). Snack cart stationed between holes 5 and 14 is handy. Nice driving range and putting green. Overall I'd highly recommend the course!
First time here and it was a great course
Little Devil was a nice course
Great for staying on a fairway even if it's not yours
Ok course but I overpaid to played here, considering the kind of course it was. I paid $120 to golf here on a weekday afternoon. They have a variable rate and I didn’t know that when I booked. Live and learn. Make sure you know how much it will cost for your round. Course was in great shape however. It was an enjoyable around that should have costed $80.
My cousin had held his Wedding at this club. The area was small and not many activities were available. There was power shortage during our dance performances. The staff seemed like they were being forced to work there, as they showed no respect and kindness. I was judged by the bartender for taking more than 3 Soft drinks. I definitely do not recommend this Golf Club for a wedding.
Great course overall, play here several times a year. Still another couple years until trees mature to really make this a premier course, but no issues playing here with customers or the wife on a weekend. Natural grass driving range is a rarity as well. Great service, and don't forget to bring your sandals...
Would be 5 stars if the greens weren’t bare concrete. Maybe talk to other courses in Calgary that have been able to build reasonably soft greens with the same rainfall. I’ve played Serenity, which used the same Road Crew to build its greens, first thing in the morning after a day of rain and they’re still granite. Otherwise, I love your courses.
Great staff - very friendly and accommodating. Course is reasonably well laid out and quite fun. Lots of sand though -_-
New driving range mats. Don't particularly like them as I prefer grass but overall course is fairly wide open but still challenging and makes for a good day of golf.
One of my favourite courses to play. Great staff and beautifully maintained course. The par 3 is long enough to really help improve accuracy with short range clubs.
A beautiful course. Wonderful staff and the sims are great.
Come for Blue Devil, stay for Lil' Devil.
Our favourite course in Calgary!
Lovely facility, good views, a challenging but fun golf course
Amazing course to play on with a really great view.
For a first time experience, it was absolutely outstanding! I am not a golfer but went there for lunch with my girlfriends. The staff were friendly and very attentive to my dietary needs and the food was delicious! It came out hot and plated beautifully! The restaurant was clean and decor was lovely. I will definitely be returning!
Update- email the manager after he commented that I had not gotten back to him. He just wanted me to type out my story again and told me my experience was out of the ordinary. He didn't offer to try to remedy the situation. I also went back to with a friend who had a few free passes and a similar experience with lack of organization from the club house to the starter. I understand that frost is out of your control but its to be expected in the first weeks of April so don't allow people to book for 8am. Also if a customer is going to have to wait an extra hour to go out at least offer them a small bucket of balls to go hit while they wait, or call or email to let people know that there is a delay. So again POOR service, and judging from the email and response I received it stems from the top down. Horrible customer service, and extremely over priced for a course in Calgary. They wanted over $90 for a round of golf with a cart in March with turf mats. We had a tee time. Booked for 1:30 showed up 30 mins early to go to the range and after we paid they tell us if we wanted to golf we had to tee off then (30 min early) or they would just return 75‰ of our money, as they would need to get paid as we didn't follow through with our tee time. This place was a joke. Stay away!!!
This place is not the best one for marriage to be honest, in my friends wedding they did not even split the ceremony area and reception area perfectly. They just used a some thing look like shower curtain to split the area. If it is traditional way ok ill take it but looks chea i couldve seen the metal bar that holds the curtain. the event just confused me from the beginning to the end. like the gift table was hid behind the door. no body noticed that if it was there. Wish theres more decorations in the ceremony area not just the reception area. The ceremony area was really unprepared. I like the food but wish we had enough amount though. I know u guys tried hard but im just writing what i realized from the event.
Great golf course, even better for beginners. They went above and beyond for my medical condition which I appreciate deeply. It was a great experience.
Good course. I enjoyed both my visits
Beautiful course, well maintained and very nice layout. Complimentary lemonade in the morning was delicious. Staff in the pro shop were very friendly. Will definitely be back.
Shameless self promotion alert! We are so proud of our team for earning the Consumers Choice Award for Best Public Golf Course in Calgary 2016. We just had to share it with everyone. We will continue to work hard to deliver the very best golf experience we can.
The devil was in fact blue, great experience.
A great links course in the south of Calgary. The par 5's come with there challenges if you can't send the ball but other then that the course is really forgiving with the large fairways. Fast greens and open space really makes this a course you want to play if you are in Calgary.
By far one of the worst experiences I have had with any facility. Worst management and owners for a business. They lack customer service or respect for their customers. Several reviews I read here are by staff when clearly the regulations of google reviews mentions that it is unethical and against regulations for employees to write reviews. It seems the management forces their staff receive positive reviews. To everyone reading please pay attention and read negative reviews first as they are the reality of this place. For a golf club to have such distasteful food is ridiculous. Other golf clubs around the city have top notch chefs and amazing food, I mean comparable to top restaurants but this place has some real disgusting food. This place is extremely over priced and I don't mind paying good money for good service but service was horrendous. I will not be returning here. Please take your business to other great locations such as Sirocco golf club, Lynx, etc and many others in calgary. I have heard from others that management here basically begs their customers to write positive reviews for them to save face. I can assure this place won't last long if they keep treating their customers with such disrespect. I wish I could give a zero star... Edit: I had a client from work go here recently who also had nothing but bad things to say about the management/owners of this place. STAY AWAY FROM HERE
Very nice course that we usually return to often. The kind of course that makes you feel you can attack it, yet not boring or overly simple. The amenities are top notch with a great practice area including a grass driving range.
A fabulous day on a great golf course, the staff was very polite and accommodating. We will be back!
Extremely satisfying balls
I have played most of the courses in Calgary and surrounding area, and Blue Devil since it opened. Without question, this is one of the very best courses in the city. The greens are always immaculate and well groomed with consistent putting, the best in the City. The fairways are likewise plush, permitting very good shot making. The many bunkers have very nice sand, but a few are currently in need of a bit of additional sand. There is a very nice practice facility including a grass driving range and large putting green. The staff from top to bottom are very friendly, accommodating, and highly professional. 5 stars!!!
I play in a Monday Mens night and they are on top of things. Great friendly staff and our experience is their first concern. Have not held an event here but would not hesitate or think twice about my next event to be held here. Eric
This is a guy eat course to play and it also is a decent size there is carts and trolleys for you club bags overall it tis a great course
Rude staff and bad greens.
Fun place to stop by for a round of golf, good food as well
Blue Devil is an excellent place both to work and to golf. The course is always in great shape and fun to play. Anything off the menu in the lounge is delicious and worth coming down for even if you are not planning on golfing. The staff in all departments is extremely welcoming and friendly to every guest that comes through the golf course. If you are looking for a positive, fun and welcoming golf experience, Blue Devil is the place to be.
I play at Blue Devil at least once per week. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. The course itself can be very challenging from the tips, but has enough t-boxes to satisfy any playing ability. Greens are always fast and generally firm. Avoid the fairway bunkers, they are not just for decoration. Many have steep faces and getting out and on the green from them can be a real test. In all, a very fun course to play.
Great we'll maintained property
Great course minus the brutal green conditions. Quite frustrating paying north of $80 for a round when the greens were that bad. Virtually unplayable in a lot of circumstances. The GC for a return visit is ridiculous, “come back and spend another $70+ To play bad conditions”
We showed up an hour early for our team time. We were then directed to the starter, who was rude and ignorant. We asked if we could go to the range and he responded, "Well you can, but no guarantee that you will make it out..." We were 1 HOUR early. The starter made this experience horrible from the beginning. Then the course conditions were HORRIBLE. The greens were horrible. They had so much sand on the greens. I understand that it's spring time, but then the rate should reflect the course conditions, which it did not. I paid $90 for horrible conditions and a rude starter. Save your $90 and go to another course that wants your business. There are courses south of Calgary that are cheaper and the conditions are much better.
Whether it is your first time or you come often, you will notice the beautiful landscape, the dedicated staff and the quality. Staff will actually come right to your car and load your golf bag for you. Great staff wherever you turn. The lounge smokes its own meat for a delicious pulled-pork poutine...yum! The banquet hall and the ceremony site for weddings is beautiful. Antique light fixtures and a stone column gazebo. Great experience!! Love it!!
Hail and winter kill damaged greens. Was charged full evening rate with $10 Gc at any windmill club. No marshalls, but 1 beer cart girl. Should of went to River spirit for $60
Private course. Good rates and well maintained. They have a lot of sand traps but the course plays well. Would go back for some more.
Beautiful new mini golf course
Great lunch and round of golf
Loved it, top shelf quality course.
Best golf course in Calgary. Course conditions and staff are second to none. Highly recommend!
Nice coarse. Greens were a bit beat up but not bad.
I had lunch there today Good food and excellent service!
Good open course. The course is in great condition this season but the greens are fast lately. And everyone working at the course is super friendly and kind, something nice to see these days :)
expensive... may look into going more south
Did the lil' blue devil 9 hole. Had a great time with some beautiful weather and course was in great shape!
Great place nice and close to the community of chaparral
Great course! Friendly people! Courteous service! Good value! Tasty food! A great experience!!
Great gold course, staff are really helpful and very friendly.
Shot 3 under and staff was awesome great dat even though it was windy.
I absolutely LOVE this course! Every time I have went to Blue Devil all staff have greeted me by name and with smiling faces. I would recommend this course to anyone who enjoys a relaxed and friendly environment!
The number one priority at a wedding venue should be to satisfy the customer and the guests. However, at Blue Devil Golf Resort, this was not the case. The resort itself was quite beautiful and I imagine playing a game of golf there on a nice summer day would be pleasant. That is, if you can look past the horrendous customer service that’s offered there. The wait and staff crew were far from enthusiastic and motivated. In one of the many instances during the wedding, I tried to get a drink from the bar. Only to be greeted with the bartender giving me the hand so that he could finish his conversation with another staff member. The staff unfortunately it not the only uncultured person working at the resort, the manager was just as bad if not worse. The manager claimed that our demands were outside of the scope of any wedding venue however, they were fully aware of everything that was going to happen and that they’d need on the day of the wedding. They had the full activity list, the full guest list, and knew the arrangement of the entire day. Yet there were still so many issues in accommodating the guest; there was not enough food to go around the guests (appetizers barely made it around all the tables), several times the power went out during the wedding performances (SEVERAL. Not even just once… SEVERAL.), and yet they still have the audacity to shift the blame to the customers. It is unacceptable for any service-based company to treat their customers with the lack of respect and dignity that they did. Paying a premium price for this kind of service is a joke. I’ve been to many weddings myself and weddings in an even larger scope than this and I have never, ever experienced anything like this. If you are looking to plan for a wedding that will create memories with your significant other, family, and friends that will last a lifetime do NOT look to this venue.
Decent golf course but been slow every time I have been.
Good for beginners. Greens are not bad. Tee boxes are a bit rough.
Terrible management! Beyond racist!! The management lady was controlling and didn't like the fact that we do things differently in our culture.... Because in her own words, we weren't having a "normal" wedding... Aka a western Caucasian wedding. She didn't let us put the cake where we wanted, she didn't provide enough food, the power kept going out and she treated her customers with disrespect. Even the photographers were frustrated. To be honest, we were terrified of her and afraid that she'd shut down the wedding. She did that to another couple who are now sueing her. I don't know how she is with others, but we've spoken to other people of colour who hosted their wedding there and she and this place is a nightmare!
People in front of us were moving very slow and not a single Marshall out asking people to speed up. Only got to hole 13 before it got too dark when we should have easily finished. Waste of money
Huge fairways. Great course.
Fairways are incredible greens I under work but it's going to be great Golf Course
I can always count on the Blue Devil for having friendly and courteous staff. I've been golfing here since the course opened and have never had a major issue with anyone for any reason. From tee to green the course is always in great shape, I applaud the maintenance staff for their dedication and perseverance on making such a young course have such a mature feel. Keep up the fantastic work guys!!
Great golf course, nice greens, challenging holes. Had a fun time.
I have recently played the course and absolutely loved it. The Bag Drop attendant was very friendly and the staff in the Pro shop made me feel comfortable while checking in. Cant wait to munch on some tasty Brisket again soon. Yummy Yummy in my Tummy!
I wish the range had rubber tees..
Friendly staff
Love coming to the relaxed driving range in the summer. One of the friendliest men I have ever met works there, helped me get everything figured out, think his name was David? Great job blue devil
It is fun
This place is really good. If you don't know how to play the game try the 9 hole side. Super easy but just make sure not to aim for the homes!!!
If you’re planning for an event or wedding in hopes to create long lasting and vivid memories to last a lifetime with family and close friends, please avoid this place like the plague. I have helped organize and attended several weddings in the past, but no venue has been as bizarre and unprepared as the Blue Devil Golf Club. Planning weddings can be stressful. You are trying to create a memorable environment that will help the bride and groom take their very first steps in life together and to encourage and make feel welcome the attending guests. The goal of the venue should be to relieve as much of their clients stress as possible because events like these will likely happen once in a lifetime. You want everything to be perfect. This venue will destroy any hopes of that happening. I had attended a close family friends wedding at this venue not too long ago. Throughout the night, any desired small adjustments requested by the groom and bride were denied by the owner and supplied with unreasonable excuses. The power went out repeatedly during performances and emotional speeches, and the manager on duty was nowhere to be found to fix the problem. There was a shortage of food despite being guaranteed a surplus. Expensive appetizers that were purchased were never served. The photographers were denied the usage of their own lighting equipment, and the DJ was constantly dealing with power outages because the facility couldn’t run that much equipment when all of said equipment was fully capable of being run in a basic home. The owner had even insulted the clients by constantly trying to run the wedding in ways that appealed to her own taste instead of understanding and supporting the wishes and traditions of the clients. At one point during the evening, I had confronted one of the photographers and they had confirmed to having been there a week prior for another couple. I was told that the owner had been so manipulative and controlling of the event that it caused the bride to cry several times throughout the event. An event that is meant to bring joyous tears to newlyweds. This venue desperately needs to start taking drastic measures to insure this doesn’t happen to another couple hoping to create an unforgettable experience.
Gorgeously groomed course, intermediate skill level, lots of fun for everyone
My childhood best friend got married here last summer, and the things I had to do to keep from her seeing her wedding being unorganized and done poorly, I should have been the wedding coordinator and getting paid for it! The wedding coordinator well.. she's a joke. She disappeared midway through the whole event! She gave us no real direction the day before for the rehearsal or the day of the actual wedding, the day of she was mixing up the entrance order and telling the MC one thing and doing another making the entrance awaked and weird. How hard is it to say the wedding party is coming in first before the bride and groom? Not tell the MC the bride and groom are coming in first when they weren't! When we got to the head table there was no cutlery for us to eat with! THE HEAD TABLE! But they were bring out food, so I had to go and get the cutlery so the bride and groom and the rest of the wedding party could eat. The service for the food was terrible by the time the head table was done the guest (such as my parents and partner) were still getting served their first course .. AN HOUR LATER! On top of that, I don't drink and my parents told me they ordered sparkling water, so I decided I was going to order that so I could have something bubbly for the toasts.. however when I asked the waitress for one she didn't know what that was and asked me if I meant club soda. I did not. I pointed out to where my parents were sitting and showed her the sparkling water I meant. The waitress looked at me and was like ill check but I don't think we have that. How could they not have that when they know they are hosting an event?! They should be fully stoked on everything! The waitress came back and said those were the last two in the whole venue so if I wanted I could have club soda. I said I was fine with tap water. I was just really unimpressed with the amount of disorganization there was. On top of EVERYTHING else when we were getting photos done after the ceremony they had people playing golf walk behind us, so my poor friend has these photos with random golfers, you would have though they would have a good area where there were no golfers and could have some decent photos. I work in the hair industry and anyone I talk to who is engaged or looking for a venue, I definitely telly them NOT to look into Blue Devil Golf Course and you will be paying way to much for what you get!
We hit up the lil devil 9 hole course, only $25 and $10 to play it through for a full 18. Amazing course and very well maintained. Challenging and beautiful. We tricked some seniors into caddying for us, they thought they were going to the legion to play crib after a walk ????
Course is a fun layout but maybe a bit over priced for the conditions and up keep. $90 before cart on weekend.
The greens are in terrible shape and there is new sod every where on the greens. (June 16th)
Freaking Hell good golf moment's past here
Amazing golf course, with challenging greens. Professional staff that are always willing to help you with any question you may have. Instructors who provide lessons with guaranteed positive results, while also showing personal interest in your growth (I would recommend Kenny to anyone, beginner to seasoned golfer) One of the best golf courses in Southern Alberta.
Expensive for what the golf course has to offer. Two people with a car is over $250.00. For this price, I'd rather golf Kananaskis or Gleneagles.
Golf course is nice. They have an app that you can order food and have it delivered to your hole. Too good to be true, ordered my good, waited 30 minutes, called a number that doesn't work, clubhouse no answer. Drove all the way back to the restaurant only to find that they missed my order. Got my food an hour after ordered. This obviously ruined my whole golf experience at the course. The chicken fingers and fries are great if your willing to wait an hour for it
Typically in good condition, forgiving fairways and not too penalizing if errant shots are common. Great food in clubhouse and lost of access to beverages on the course!!!
Tough course but will be back again. I wanted to challenge again.
Picturesque
They keep they course in great shape. And if your looking for a short game the Lil devil 9 hole course is a lot of fun.
Golfed here in June 2019, went to the range on August 15th. Course was in good shape. Friendly staff. Range buckets are a bit pricey, but prices are in line with the competition
Great staff and service. Will be great when we can eat back in the restaurant! Golf course is forgiving and this year already in great shape.
Little devil is a great course for a quick round with friends.
Beautiful course, friendly staff, the Marshal's ate super friendly and helpful! Will definently be back!
The course is really beautiful, you can tell that the maintenance staff takes extra pride in their work. All of the staff from the proshop to the servers are friendly and polite. The pub always has a wide variety of drinks along with yummy food, we'll defitnetly be back next season.
Course was decent a few years ago but the greens have been destroyed. Not sure how you're even supposed to putt on them.
The golf course is in excellent shape and would recommend playing it to anyone. The lounge has a comforting atmosphere and delicious food. It is worth going to eat even if you are not playing a round! Their "Texas Plate" is to die for! The staff in all departments are positive, polite, welcoming, and upbeat. Blue Devil has a great atmosphere and makes you want to come back for more!
Greens are in rough shape. ????
Had some great quality time golfing with my son, and then a couple of pints and bites in their bar afterwards.
Been playing and a member at this course for 3 years now. We have had referred many clients of ours at this golf course and everyone enjoyed their rounds and they've been coming and playing at Blue and Lil' Devil since then. All staff members are very nice and friendly. Looking forward all the time to play here! Keep up the good work and wishing you all well this season!
This is one of my favorite places to golf. The course is in great condition. The staff there are really nice. The food is great. My only issue is the bunkers. They're crazy deep! Lol. Definitely my problem.
Great par 3 better 18.
Little pricey compared to other courses. Fairways are immaculate. Greens need a little work. People need to fix their divots more often. Overall a pretty great course.
Great escape for golf. Decent service.
Good course, fairly wide open, not many trees, tons of bunkers.
Nice golf course, the lil devil is perfect for those learning. The food in tbe restaurant is amazing.
Green condition was great and all staff are friendly. :)
Lil' Devil is really nice 9 hole course that is great for a young beginner or for more experienced golfers to work with their irons. Bring your driver for hole #9. The only down side was my 9 year old parring a par 3 while my game blew up on the hole! :-) Not a lot of shade for a hot, sunny day so consider bringing your umbrella to get some relief as this is a walking only course.
Simple and wide open. Great course from a beginner / intermediate perspective
Blue Devil is a wonderful golf course with year round excellent conditions! The staff is always polite when i golf and the restaurant and catering staff are some of the best I've seen. Over all i believe Blue Devil is a great course and highly recommend to anyone!
Best greens in calgary. Course is in beautiful shape. Very tough bunker placements. Makes for challenging round of golf. Staff is very nice and helpful. Will definitely return for a other round.
A wonderful course with wonderful people. Truly enjoy my rounds of golf at Blue Devil.
A lovely spot for a wedding or any social gathering. The amenities were great and the food prepared was delightful. Did not get the chance to swing any clubs but the public course looked like it was inviting for all abilities. Will certainly come back again and consider the facilities for a future gathering.
As a Beginner, I enjoyed a lot playing here and I will definitely recommend to my friends those who are interested.
Nice course, lots of sand traps!
Golf was amazing. Food was to die for. Chef made scallop potato’s instead of mashed to change it up a little bit and they were better than the lord and savior. I bow to thee my king.
Blue Devil is an amazing place to eat and the service is impeccable on the patio and the wedding banquets. The servers are incredibly efficient, courteous and respectful to all customers. I commend the staff for its dedication to their clientele. Thank you Blue Devil:)
Went there to play the little devil. This little gem provides an enjoyable experience without the big hole in your pocket from 18 green fees. Greens are a little small but then again It is the "little devil". Staff at the pro-shop were friendly on all three occasions that I went there. Keep an eye open for the new miniature golf coming soon!!
They have placed crappy little mats on concrete, on a slope at the edge of the parking lot which makes it hard to not only keep the ball from rolling off but very uncomfortable to hit a full bucket like that. Save your money and wait for your own course to open up.
Nice golf course. We have hosted several golf tournaments here and they always do a great job for us!
Had a great time golfing this course. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The course was in great shape - it's April and they were already in good shape, should be a good year. The Greens were super fast, the way greens should be. Can't wait to play again!
Fast greens and course is in great shape
Awesome layout...it's a shame that full rates are charged when the greens are currently and understandably subpar in May and one hole actually has a temporary green. Lesson learned to check out the course before you play!
Super place to golf, staff goes above and beyond to make your day great. Food venue is delicious and the staff friendly and attentive.
Just wanted to give a shout out to the Blue Devil Golf Course team for the 2015 season. As the season wraps up it has been such a pleasure to golf and spend time at the facility. The staff are always so welcoming, often calling us by name when we check in for our tee time. The patio is a great place to hang out and grab a bite to eat and a drink following a round. We'll be back next year, well done team :)
Awesome time at the golf simulator!!
I always look forward to my night out on Lil Devil. I just signed my girls up in their Junior program, which is fantastic, and I am looking forward to my ladies night.
Blue Devil is a great place for golf, food and events. The staff here are absolutely fantastic and go above and beyond there job descriptions to make sure everyone is having a good time. The food is better then most restaurants, bacon breakfast sandwiches are to die for I promise you will not be disappointed.
One of the top courses in Calgary. Course is open, but challenging enough for all skills. Staff is top notch, service is excellent, especially in the 19th hole after a round.
You need to post that this is a walk only course. Booked but unable to golf this morning as this is not posted anywhere☹️
I play men's league at Blue Devil and have had nothing but a great experience so far with regards to organization, service, friendliness, communication, etc. Looking forward to another season at Blue Devil!
Course was good, greens were a little rough! But the lack of hospitality and the ignorance we experienced from the kart girls on the 5th and 14th completely ruined the day! Met one of the Marshalls as we headed towards the 4th green and he told us to ease up as the was some back log, which was fine, but standing at the kart, waiting for service or even acknowledgement for 15 minutes was unacceptable! They served a group ahead of us, then started stocking the kart completely ignoring us! We had enough of being ignored and continued our game, Which went south as i was so mad and rattled from the lack of courtesy we received! So disappointed you will have to drag me to go back to this course again!
The course was phenomenal and staff very helpful. Best course ive ever golfed by far. Really dont understand the bad reviews as the course was in immaculate shape and you can tell the effort in customer service everywhere!
A well rounded golf course, service/staff/fairways. Have never had a bad time!!!!! Keep up the good work guys! (Ps BEST CHICKEN FINGERS EVER!)
I have been golfing here for years, it's a great golf course. It would be nice if they could actually keep staff. I have dealt with Matt numerous times, and I have to say he is the most pleasant person I have dealt with at blue Devil. He definitely goes the extra mile, and always has a smile. Looking forward to lessons with him next year.
Very sweet!!
The course has been in amazing shape all season and the staff have been extremely friendly and helpful with all of my needs!
Well maintained and challenging but still enjoyable for an outing. Fair priced and new carts. Staff helpful and courteous
the reviews here don't make sense. look at the time lines. The reviews that are a month old have replies from the owner that are a year old??? Doesn't make sense here
Great course.
Great course, beautiful scenery, really enjoyed my round!
This is a fun course with wide fairways but fairly challenging greens. The bunkers are numerous, deep and can also be a challenge. We walked the course with a foursome in almost exactly 4 hours. The restaurant is very good and is reasonably priced.
My cousin's wedding took place at this venue, beautiful place but I expected a lot from the event because of the amount invested on it. However I was quite upset with the service they provided as it wasn't up to the mark.
Went for mini putt date night and food was great but course was not. Maybe for little kids but a bit of a let down for a course that's so expensive trying to gear to adults. Played main course as well... I'd go again if someone else paid.
Family fun golf.
Course is in decent shape. Greens are horrendous though.
Nice and friendly golf course
I attended my cousin's wedding at this venue. Unfortunately it was the first and most unorganized wedding I've attended. As mentioned by other guests, their service issues include below average food, poor power supply and over controlling management. This is exactly what they have to offer you and in exchange cost you a heavy price for a substandard service. Would NOT recommend blue devil golf course for any wedding/event !
love this course and the green fees are reasonable.
The location is pretty good however I was personally not satisfied by their service when I attended my cousin's wedding at this venue
Decent layout and price for inside the city.
Course was in decent shape. They double booked our tee time. Marshal hassled us about being slow even though we were ahead of the group behind and caught up to the group in front. He proceeded to sit behind every green until we finished. Not worth $95 walking. Go play Sirocco!
Great track, well conditioned. Friendly Pro Shop and Halfway House staff. Will be back to golf before the end of the season!
I'm not sure what's happened to this course since I last played it about a year ago. It seems to be suffering from some neglect and most of the greens are in poor condition. We won't be back any time soon.
I was really excited to attend a wedding here but the experience in terms of management was horrifying. I would never think that the manager of a business could be so rude and disrespectful to their clients, especially two who were getting married. And it wasn't just the couple, it was all the friends and family and other guests who attended the wedding as well. There were maybe 2 caterers who tended to the customers in terms of appetizers and cleaning up plates. They didn't smile, didn't say anything, walked around like zombies. For a wedding event, they were very depressing. The manager was very difficult to work work with and was extremely rude to everyone. She yelled at my cousin who tried to get a beverage at the bar and didn't even let him get one (he was able to come back and get one after she left), and she glared at everyone at the wedding. There were recurring electrical problems as the power kept shutting off during the middle of the event and management was no where to be found and refused to do anything about it when they were finally spoken to. The food was also extremely bland and the quantity was very limited, which is horrible considering dinner was buffet style. There was not enough variety of food left for the last few tables because the chefs did not make enough for the number of people who attended, and so many of my friends and family came home hungry. Someone really needs to do something about this place because it was just horrible.
Looking forward to getting back into my game at Blue Devil within the next week or two. Great course, great staff and very accommodating in every way. Recommended to my pal and his fiance for their wedding in 2017 as I have heard great feedback from locals here in Calgary who appreciate quality, great service and a professional team who know how to do things right. BTW... I am not a current/former employee of Blue Devil, I am not a member, nor am I kin to any employee of Blue Devil. However, I am offended by the many incoherent (obviously failed in English) and abusive messages posted here by a rogue swarm who clearly had every intention of having their wedding 'comped' by Blue Devil. Clearly these motley hooligans are not from Alberta. On a happy note, will soon see you on the links and likely at my pals wedding reception in 2017. Cheers! Frank
I played Blue Devil Golf Club on Saturday July, teeing off at 11:30am. I'll break down my review as follows: Course conditions: 5 / 5- with the exception of a few divots (due to non-members and members not fixing divots), the course was in great shape. Greens lay true, and the general upkeep of the course was lovely. Restaurant Staff: 5.5 / 5 (yes- 11/10)- they were absolutely FANTASTIC and the kitchen staff are brilliant chefs- best breakfast sandwich I've had on a golf course, bar none. That staff is borderline award winning. Courteous, friendly, and helpful. Starter / Club Host: 5 / 5- lovely lady at the start with great hints and tips about the course; informed us of pace of play (to which we were more than able to stick to) and the club host was a very friendly, non-intrusive gentleman from whom we acquired some tokens for prizes due to the round going well. Course Marshals: 0 / 5- I haven't been to a course, anywhere, in which the Course Marshals have been poorer/more annoying/more intrusive ESPECIALLY since we were right on the mark for timing of the pace of play. My foursome is very good at keeping up the pace of play and pushing the groups in front of us. That being said, we had a Marshal hover around our group for 5 (FIVE) holes on the front 9 alone. He would repeatedly tell us 'keep on them- you're doing a good job'. If that was the case, leave us alone and tell the overly slow group in front of us to speed up. DO NOT repeatedly hawk over us, watch us, bother us, and talk to us while we are setting up at the green. The final straw was at the 10th when I was putting for a par- I was having a great time and the new marshal comes up in his cart and his walkie talkie blares loudly as I put and of course miss a simple 2 footer. Bogey. I gave him what for and he (and no other marshal) came to bother us after- not until we lost a stroke and I needed to tell him how to do his job. He fed me a non-chalant sorry and said that he just started. That doesn’t matter to me- you have a very simple job- don’t screw up 25% of it instantly. Surgeons don’t request the scalpel and pull out a chainsaw. Simply THE ABSOLUTE WORST marshals who are NOT CONCERNED with your experience but are concerned with maintaining a 4 hour pace of play which is VERY difficult on a Saturday afternoon at a NON-private course. Pro Shop Staff: 3 / 5- the staff at the beginning of the round was great upon check-in. Upon concluding the round and heading inside to tell the pro shop staff about the Marshals, we were greeted with indifference and disinterest. They didn't really listen to us and in the end, no apology was given. Not even a fake apology- because that's what would have been fed to us as, at that point, we were quite clued in to the fact that outside the AMAZING kitchen staff and a few others, no one was concerned with our enjoyment of the course. Overall: 3 / 5- I was so disgusted by the lack of professionalism of the marshals (please refer to Yelp/Trip Advisor for other reviews noting the ridiculous demeanor of the marshals) and the general defense and lack of empathy from the pro shop staff- I would give the course a 3/5. From a pure golf standpoint, the course itself is great. Do NOT expect that the staff will treat you with a bit of class and allow you to enjoy your round, especially, if you keep to the pace of play they prescribe.
Had a blast today. The lady working at the Bar filled up my water half way through the round. Really awsome staff.
The staff are very friendly and accommodating and personable both in the pro shop and food services. The course is well maintained and challenging. The green fees are good value.
Course is in great shape. The staff is very friendly.
Super golf course. The greens are the best in Calgary. All the staff are very courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. I love the course layout and openness.
Not an ideal experience playing their golf simulators. They added more simulators from last year which is neither here nor there, however, they cheaped out on the full subscription for the software and we weren't able to play the majority of the courses that were on there from last year. Drink prices are unreasonable and rival Saddledome prices.. not impressed this year.
Fantastic little track, great for family fun or quick practice round!
Beautiful day for golf. Course was in good shape except for the greens. They were 2.5 out of 5.
Beautiful course, wide open, but lots of sand traps, very challenging, greens and fairways in great shape already. Nice little driving range, great staff very helpful,
we played the little devil pitch-and-putt, it was super nice, the greens were in great shape, much to my surprise, and there is even a 300-yard hole on the 9th... so for taking my three daughters, it was perfect
Blue Devil is a great place to golf with friends. The course is suitable for beginners/duffers to experts. Haven't got 4 hours? the little devil is fun to play, too.
The reason I left a one star review is because I booked a T time at 8am with my boss at the time. When we arrived at the golf course they had mistakenly booked us on the par three. I couldn’t get a T time anywhere else that day. I’ve changed my review to 4 stars because I ended up actually playing the course and it was great.
We booked this venue for our wedding over a year and a half in advance. The deposit required was quite large ( 5 times more than some of Calgary's nicest golf courses) but we didn't think anything of it. After many, many months of terrible service we decided to ask for money back and find somewhere else to get married. This decision did not come easy as it was about six months prior to our wedding but to us, we felt that it would be worth the headache of finding somewhere new versus what we would experience the day off if we stayed with Blue Devil. During our wedding planning I would talk to vendors and tell them where we were planning to get married and the reaction was never positive. It was always "what do you think of them?" and "how is your experience so far?". Needless to say, the reputation they had was not comforting. The coordinator was difficult to get a hold of and would only correspond via email. Any request we had was always met with hesitation. Anytime we went there to take measurements or view the space we were made to feel like we were inconveniencing someone. I often wondered if the coordinator even enjoys hosting weddings. When we scheduled our meeting discuss our concerns, she didn't even bother to show up. How can she make sure our needs were going to be met if she wasn't there first hand to hear them? We spoke to another couple who got married there and they said their experience was absolutely horrible and they told us to get out of our contract if we could. That was the last straw. I also asked if we could start our ceremony at 3:30pm instead of 4pm and was told it would be difficult because someone else was having their ceremony there at 1pm. This someone was only having their ceremony there, not spending $20,000 on a full day, and apparently they were priority. If you plan to get married at a golf course there are many other places that will be much more gracious and eager to make your special day a priority and exactly what you want. I have been in three golf course weddings in Calgary and none of them were even close to having bad service like Blue Devil.
This golf club has the friendliest people I have ever dealt with on a golf course. From the Pro shop staff, Marshall's, serving staff and maintenance crew. Everybody is always willing and able to help whenever asked. The course, Pro shop as well as all the facilities are always clean and tidy. The course itself is challenging, from well placed bunkers, water and pin positions every game brings out new challenges for any golfer. Although this is a relatively newer club in Calgary it is run by seasoned professionals. I would recommend this course to any level of golfer. Thanks to everyone at Blue Devil for making every golf game I've played there an absolute pleasure.
Booked tee time through playgolf ( didnt even know my credit card was linked) . Missed the tee time, first time ever missing a tee time with bluedevil, and they charged me full price for all 4 players to my credit card 335 dollars! Ive been golfing for a long time have only missed a few tee times ever but have never been charged let alone full price for all 4 players. I don't think it shows proper customer relations especially during a difficult time for many to be doing that to people. I can understand why the policy is in place but at the same time theres a way to deal with things. I can see if i have missed many tee times there but i have not missed one ever! to take advantage of people like that is not right. I know many golf courses who have the same policy in place but do not go ahead charging people for missed tee times without speaking to them first or checking if its something that is reoccuring! Also the manager at the shop didnt even call me! He had one of his employees who had no idea how to deal with the situation call me on his behalf. THe young gentleman must have been 21 and super nervous as he had no idea what to say or what to do! If i asked to speak to the manager to see what can be done and you dont think you should give me the time to call back instead send an inexperience employee to deal with something a manager should that is not right and its obvious from previous comments who the RUDE staff would be at this golf course!
The staff are always there if you need assistance
Great service. Open early in season!
A nice course, even if it is lacking a little bit in terms of shade. Service is very friendly and efficient. Beautiful putting greens too in light of the recent the hot, dry conditions.
Twighlight rates are great. Wish they would build another 9 holes or even another 18 other side of the river with a bridge. Vegetation starting to come in and really nice service but a bit pricy for regular price rounds. Easy playing course with not much trees or trouble which makes it fun to play. Given difficulty level and terrain wish it would be priced more like Heather Glen or somewhere inbetween
Lots of fun for all skill levels
Blue Devil is a great experience from check in to your meal after the round. The course is always in great shape with probably the best greens you`ll find in Calgary. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the food is amazing! If you haven`t been to the course before, make the trip, you won`t be disappointed!
Best golf course in Calgary area
We had fun as a family, everyone we met were very nice.
We had our wedding at Blue Devil this year. We worked with Rosemary for the majority of our planning and she was super helpful, knowledgably and friendly. For the rehearsal and day of the wedding, we had Nicole and she was amazing! Everything went smoothly from start to finish. The food was fantastic and their bar packages are pretty unique! We are so happy we chose them for our venue.
The course is excellent condition and the staff are awesome!
Golfed the 9 on little devil, what a great experience . Perfect little walking course, likely not going to lose any balls on this course either. Well maintained, and there wasn’t an over abundance of people on the course, so you weren’t rushed . Price was right ! Excellent experience, and the young male in the pro shop was polite and kind . Can’t wait to go back!
Really nice! Played this course in driving rain and 40 km/hr gusts at 7am and pushed through all 18 because it's such a fun course. If you like being able to actually find your ball when you slice it so hard it shoots you into a parallel universe, then this course is what you want. The course conditions have been pretty close to immaculate. The only issue is that they do not roll the greens enough, so the putting can be pretty inconsistent. They also need some more staff - often this course feels a bit apocalyptic because staff are hard to come by. This is likely a byproduct of covid hiring difficulties though. Staff I do meet have been friendly and enthusiasic. Will definitely be back.
Par 3 was a par 3... nothing to write home about.
Great Course and Great Staff.
Nice golf course I was a visitor with a friend very nice place to go
hello everyone, I am writing this from my own personal experience at the Blue Devil Golf Club. After witnessing how this venue is managed, I’ll definitely will not host my wedding here. For the many reasons but I'll just list 4 listed below: 1) Not accommodating- Wedding venue are places that are supposed to be very accommodating to requests from the bride and groom. However Blue Devil wedding venue were not, they basically declined almost every requests. 2) Uncooperative owner - The owner would be the reason why they refused to satisfy our many personal and religious requests. The owner at the Blue Devil were extremely strict about everything, from the sound, rehearsal, and stage setup. 3) Disregard business to people- I am pretty sure the owner could care less about the bride and groom happiness. The owner closed the light immediately at the end of the rehearsal to rush us out, while family and friends were still trying to figure out how everything will be set up. 4) Overpriced- In most scenarios, pricing would not be an issue for planning a wedding, but when that pricing is high, naturally you should expect a level of service that reflects on that pricing, but Blue Devil failed to deliver on that quality of service. Their food was painfully average and whatever average food there was, wasn’t even enough to feed all the guests. They knew how much guests were going to be arriving so they should have been able to accommodate as such. If you read all of this and you still want to go, I pray for you.
Amazing staff and fun course. Hopefully its not windy tho...
Fun friendly little par 3 good to practice your short game
Course is in rough shape and not worth $110. Book Heritage Pointe way better value.
This review is for Little Devil. Good course for beginners and younger golfers. Still quite new - not a lot of trees or shrubs with not much separation between greens. But decent. No concession so you have to walk all the way to the main restaurant to get drinks/ snacks. Highway located right beside.
The Blue Devil is a great course. It is fun to play and in great shape all year. The staff is excellent, and the service i receive is always great. The service staff in the lounges and dining areas are helpful and courteous. The food is delicious and i would recommend eating here after a nice golf game. Great experience every time!
Nice view, but terrible venue for a wedding. Management was not accommodating, from little things like moving tables to changing the volume in the room. Power cuts outs. Food was cold and nothing to rave about, over priced and there wasn't enough to go around. There are definitely better golf course venues in and around Calgary.
Played Saturday. Played really bad but nothing to do with the course. Mint shape. Really like what they do here.
Great course and awesome staff! The course is one of the better designs in Calgary, and the greens are legendary already. My compliments to the Chef as the food is really good. The golf shop staff are a ton of fun and some of the best in the business.
Loved the course and excellent service from the staff
always fantastic, friendly service. Excellent facilities for all of the family and something for golfers of all skill levels.
Staff is great so is the course.
Played 3 times already in 2016. Is it possible the greens are in mid season shape already ? Unreal ! Staff is always on top of their game from the starter to the Pro Shop to the waitresses. Only complaint is stationary beverage girl....don't understand why they wouldn't be driving around and serving rather than sitting in between 14 green and 6 teebox.
Love this course, challenging but beautiful. The staff have always been great...helpful & courteous. Reading the neg reviews, does not sound like we are talking about the same course?
The staff are excellent-friendly and courteous. Course is always in great shape and well maintained.
Great course very well maintained and the staff is top notch; definitely going to be a regular.
The 9 hole course is great for a quick round after work, but it is a bit pricey.
Great golf course! Really enjoyed our round!
Charging full price for some of the worst greens I have ever played on. I understand that every course has a bad year every once and a while, but give players the courtesy of letting them know that the course is sub par (no pun intended), and perhaps NOT charge full rates. Come on guys, clean it up!
A great design in golf courses. Easy to walk and the maintenance crew keeps the course in excellent condition. The staff are very friendly and the food is excellent. A must play.
There was a time where I feel Blue Devil golf course could have earned a 5 star review. Unfortunately in it's current state, with regret - I would give less than 1 if I could. There is not 1 single green on the whole course that's playable. I'm not a greens keeper but I can only speculate it's a very major tarping mishap I played very early season and the greens were shaping up just fine. Now the greens are unplayable and unfortunately I don't see any recovery in sight for the 2019 season. The arrogance of the course is what really grinds me - Blue Devil is charging full green fees!! There's really no value in playing here. Men's night should be a complete refund, you should be warned before heading on the course of its current unplayable condition and if you decide to forego the warning, a refund should readily be made available after stepping on the 1st green - I can assure you playing on will not be in your best interest. Until Blue Devil makes an honest effort to be forthcoming about the condition of their course and adjust rates accordingly - I highly recommend spending your hard earned cash at any other course.
Course was in good shape but greens are terible, would be nice if you gave us a heads up. Had to ask for my my bucket of ball ticket and my playing partner didnt even get one. Marshall was awesome though. Sorry wont be back.
Nice small 9 hole course for a decent price.
Awesome course. Kenny is the man. Great instructor. Highly recommend.
Staff is very friendly and helpful and a nice course
Great long ball hitter track
This review is based on my golf experience at Blue Devil. Pro Shop, Starter and Food & Beverage. I've never attended a function at Blue Devil so I will not comment on that side of their business. I've golfed at Blue Devil more than any other golf course in Calgary over the past 3 golf seasons. I've never had a bad experience. I always enjoy the people there and the course is challenging and typically in great shape. Is it expensive? Of course it is but golf is an expensive past time. You want cheap golf go play a City of Calgary course and take 6 hours to play 18 holes. If you want a great golf course that's close to home, that's easy to make a tee time for and you can get a round in under 4 1/2 hours then give Blue Devil a try.
Clubhouse is always well stocked with good deals on Nike. Guys out front are always courteous. Customer service is prompt. Never overly friendly but quick and thorough. They have great deals for membership cards to save on rounds and the food and drink selection is decent. Don't recall in the 3 years i've been playing here, hitting into too many bad greens. Good opportunity to go low for mid handicappers with wide fairways and accessible greens. One of the first in the city to open this year (played April 7) and last to close (playing Nov 9). Could do with a few more marshals sometimes, but all in all, you can't ask for a better track.
Very nice courses and clubhouses. Highly recommend them.
Contrary to the name, its quite a heavenly place to escape to in the city. No matter what time of year you play this course, it is always in top shape. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The general layout of the course offers challenges for any skill level and always makes you want to come back and improve. The course also offers poker chips as rewards for birdies and such as a fun way to make you want to play better.
Friendliest staff on any golf course in Calgary. Great food and restaurant staff. Golf course is ALWAYS in excellent condition. Greens roll true and FAST. I play this course 20-30 times a year for these exact reasons.
Good course but the man at the club house is rude.
For a premium price you are not getting premium golf. Calgary has so many options for golf with a wide range of prices and charging $85 for twilight golf, especially when the greens are in horrible shape (obviously this is a bad year and not the standard) you would expect a high-end course but this is not the case. This is a good course but with the options in and around Calgary you can play elsewhere that will be just as nice for cheaper. I would hope the management would also have a better plan rather than giving me a $10 credit towards my next round because of how bad the greens are. The greens are some of the worst I have probably seen, especially on a course at this price. I would expect a discount on this round not just a credit to hook me in to play again. Obviously the greens will not always be bad and it is a good course but I think the management could have dealt with this problem better.
The staff at Blue Devil are great and the greens are some of the best around. It is a little pricy for normal single round play but if you get a GC card you get a discount. If you play a lot the membership rates are very reasonable and get you discounts on F&B as well. The range is very good and offers grass tees pretty well all of the time. The little Devil course is another added bonus and great to play with the whole family. It can be pretty busy so booking ahead is highly recommended. Public can book 5 days in advance. If you are looking for a good family spot without paying the equity of a private club, Blue Devil is a great option.
Good course, greens were a little tough on the small course
the men's golf league is awesome, great course with the best food and staff. the club house is first class atmosphere . the pros are super organized and help in anyway possible. now if i could only get that dam white ball to cooperate!
We were rained out of our game today, fortunately we were met with fantastic customer service, Tanner and every other employee made our experiance wonderful. Will definetly be back!!!
Great course, the greens run very fast and true. Great staff in the pro shop and the restaurant!
Wonderful
I agree with the most recent post. $98 with a cart is ridiculous with the shape of the course. They do give you $15 for a return visit, but it’s hardly worth it. You won’t want to even go back and pay $83 for that. Pretty much every green is rolling horribly. They certainly don’t tell you that before you play.
Great staff, great service, and the course is always in immaculate condition.
Excellent place to visit and play a round of golf or hit the driving range! Very helpful and pleasant staff! I highly recommend a visit to this location.
I'll keep this short, if you're planning on having a wedding here, don't. It is over priced, has poorly managed staff and the wedding coordinator has no sense of customer satisfaction. The food here is in limited supply for a buffet styled dinner and it tastes like it had been done in a microwave.
BRUTAL, followed by staff almost every hole as to rush us along which was distracting always having them come up on us and sit there and just watch us, said we were 10 minutes behind pace around the 10th or 11th hole, sorry I went to the washroom quick after the front 9!! (Monday morning, almost empty course) No one was even on the tee box when we were finished putting a hole (a group of 2 guys realized they had an appointment so they were running to their cart after each shot to try and finish the round fast so they jumped ahead a hole and said they might not even get to finish the round). Then we sat on the balcony after the round (18 holes in 4hr, 15-20min, not bad for a group of beginners) and next group to hit the 18th green was about 15-20 min after we finished and sat down, was in no way holding anyone up all round, had it been busy and we saw groups playing behind us I could see there being an issue but besides the management following us on the course it really felt like we had the course to ourselves as we never saw any groups behind us, only the occasional group going on parallel fairway on different hole. Only my first year golfing, but have done about 7 different courses and this was by far the worst experience yet, solely due to management/“course officials”. Will not be back, and will advise others not to spend their money there either !!! There are better courses with cheaper green fees all over calgary with welcoming staff who appreciate the business.
Greens are decent, not much else to write home about.
Great Staff, Great Service, Great Food and Great Golf !!! I have enjoyed every visit to the Blue Devil facilities whether to play golf or simply enjoy a night out with friends and family. We will be back soon.
Great course, wild open, perfect maintenance. Rain wasn't stop, play silver tee.
Great food, drink and golf.
Today my son and I tried out lil Devil and 9 hole small course next to blue Devil…to small for electric carts…fun lil course.
Always come off the 18th having enjoyed the course. Even if I don't score well. I want to come back. The course in great shape and the greens are fast, but true. You gotta play here....
Beautiful course. Amazing service.
Great course, great service. Tanner is an absolute gentleman and a scholar, thanks for your hard work. Stay classy.
Amazing smoked meat cooked on site and a really fun layout
????
Greens are in horrible condition. They were giving out $15 gift cards a month ago due to the condition ,which I ended up using this past weekend. Honestly should have been given another refund as the greens are in worse condition then they were a month ago. Their is no way full green fees should be charged right now, lots of other courses around the city you can play for $20-$30 cheaper and are in better condition. Also the pro shop staff need to work on their service. Payed for my round the other day, and right in the middle of being helped the guy proceeds to start texting on his phone, then comes back to give me my change.
Not a bad track, reasonable price. Good for beginners as it's wide open. Course is in good condition
Best possible golfing environment. Great staff. Great course. And an excellent golf shop.
Joined the Men's League for Tuesdays Nights. Great time, good value! Signed up for a second year!
Great course. Nice staff. Kids love the lil devil. Play men's night every week. It's been great experience!
As a guest at a wedding, I was expecting to be treated with respect. I was not expecting for the staff to be so poorly managed. They didn't even once come to me with appetizers and ignored me and walked right past me. When my table was called, there was hardly any food left, forget about seconds. Some of the guests had dance performances and the power kept going out. How embarrassing! I sure will never get married at this nightmare of a place! And I highly recommend everyone to STAY AWAY!
Greens are almost unplayable! For $114 a round, the $10 gift card for next time doesn't make up for it. Should be paying spring rates at best.
It's an ok club, I'll say to expensive for the services they provide
Love this golf course. Great facilities good food. Perfect for bringing the family. Only reason it’s not a 5 star is the fact that they charge for range balls on weekdays. Can’t get my head around charging someone for range balls after spending 100+ with cart.
Great course for all levels. Long bombers, make sure you keep it straight. The fairway bunkers are no joke. Greens are very fast but true. By far the friendliest staff in all of Calgary.
Course is in great shape! It is easily accessible to people living in the south and staff are great.
Great and fun place to golf.
You gotta go! Great place and the staff are awesome.
Giving this place a one star due to a few reasons. Having recently attended a wedding there, and seeing there was a lot of issues, because of the wedding coordinator. First the lack of understanding from the wedding coordinator. Hearing lots of reasonable requests from the bride and groom family's for small things, she refused to do them, saying it was impossible to do. Secondly the power kept going off during all of the performances. This doesn't make sense, due to the fact that the building is only a year old. It really seems like the coordinator doesn't care very much at all, to keep the bride and groom happy.
Played in 3 degrees and rain, but still loved the course. Beautiful views, nicely kept course and challenging holes. Will definitely be coming back.
Course is in great shape and only going to get better in the weeks and months ahead. Fantastic staff who are very friendly and helpful. Thanks for making a great experience once again!
Bought some golf shirts here. Staff was very accommodating.
Pretty disappointing simulator setup this year. Had a great time going to the devil last year for sims; not sure I'll be back. The sims themselves are definitely some of the better ones I've played on, but the rest of the experience was concerning. This year it's super crammed in there, seems like a COVID liability honestly. I'd be curious to see what AHS would say if they saw the sims fully booked (now 4 in the same space they previously had 2). They're offering refreshments and stuff this year which I guess is alright, but they have 4 beer options for $7.50 and everything else is over $9.00, we paid $9.75 for ciders. Also for some reason they have Alex Keith's listed as Craft Beer which is confusing. The original charm and excitement from them having sims last year sadly disappeared this year.
