If you are looking for a place to host your (Xmas) party still, this place may be an option (if they aren’t fully booked yet!). Their dinner was pretty good but their dessert was even better. The mini donuts ????, cupcakes and cakes ???? were just so delicious! The only problem was not being able to eat enough!

One the hidden gems in Vancouver. The kitchen is as wonderful as the course is beautiful. The pro shop is Taylor Made mecca (happens to be my brand), and the service staff across the board are superb. A must for those living here and anyone visiting.

Was recently at the driving range. Ball quality is pretty decent for the winter season, but they need way more lights for hitting balls in the afternoon/evening. Covered area is old and stalls feel a bit tight. Tee line out in the open needs work too. Ground beneath mats are not level. You can notice low spots beneath the mat.

Please enforce your policies. 5 hour rounds are no fun....UBC golf course is a pleasant course although not known for its fast play at the best of times. On Sat Sept 2nd, I teed off exactly on time (1121AM). Unfortunately, there were 2 foursomes from hell in front of us, rude, unpleasant, swearing, taking shirts off and not interested in the 50 players behind them who had to accept their slow pace. To his credit, the marshal talked to them very often but without any results. Not wanting to play a 5+ hour round, I left the course on hole 14. The front desk was not very sympathetic to my complaint. Unruly golfers do exist. For the enjoyment of all the other players, please enforce your policies!

Its one of the best semi-public golf courses around the mainland. Pretty good teaching facility. The driving range is a bit oldfashioned. The pub is excellent for both food and beer tap selection. The patio is a hidden gem. Its also a very good place for special functions, I held many business meetings in one of the boardrooms, which they fully cater.

Breakfast is good and reasonably priced view onto the greens are lovely and peaceful. They have a great deck space as well. I would normally have given it a five out of five previously , but the former chef was just much better at curating menus and offering a wider variety. While breakfast is still a 4/5 the other meals I have had in the earlier fall of this year were definitely not what they were. I also went for my birthday last June and it was truly awful. The staff are always very friendly and efficient. I just hope the food becomes more varied and tastes as good as before!

Great course with old-increase forest on some holes. Greens had been well-paced, fairways have been quite open. Drainage a hassle as there had been puddles of water everywhere after it rained. The use of electronic distance measuring devices is permitted in Golf Club events. Devices capable of measuring distance only will be permitted. Devices capable of measuring other factors, such as elevation change, wind speed, temperature, are not permitted.

Awful experience yesterday. I booked a 4some and due to COVID Health Restrictions, 1 our of our 4 could not join us as they were driving in from an outside health authority. When I checked in, I was charged for the full 4some and when asked why, was told that 'UBC charges all cards at 8am and if I knew that the individual wasn't going to be coming, then I should have let them know the day before so they could have backfilled with a single'. I was shocked at this behavior. I could understand if my entire group was bailing on the tee time and they were losing revenue, however 3/4 of us were there and they still charged me the extra $65. They claimed that all courses across the Lower Mainland are doing this which is false. I was at Seymour the day before, same situation and they only charged me for those that showed up. The insistence of the ProShop Staff they were justified in charging me $65 for a 1 person not able to show up was appalling. While I concede I could have called them the night before that 1 our of our 4 would not be showing, it my experience that charging for this issues has never been a concern over my 20 years of golfing. And the use of COVID as an excuse to charge me in advance and not refund me was just greedy. Very disappointing by the staff and policy at UBC Golf Club.

I hadn't played this course since they reversed the nines. The 10th is now the 1st etc. Not sure the real value in this change as the round was as slow as ever. The round was $70 which I think that is expensive for the time of year. The course was in reasonable shape but the tee boxes were awful. The driving range was a gong show but the patio was open with a good selection of food and drinks.

Stunning course. ????️‍♂️ We teed off at 6:20AM and were emersed in the sounds of morning birdsong, bullfrogs, and the nostalgic rustling of the wind through high cottonwoods. The greens we're lovely ⛳, and not too challenging. And, as one would expect nothing less, I lost two balls on the the straightest no-nonsense fairway????. Being in the second growth forest of Pacific Spirit Park made for the most relaxing, beautiful start to playing full sized courses this year. We will be back. ????

My fist experience at this course was not very positive however, after sending my feedback via email to UBC, one of the managers Craig Lazaruk dealt with my feedback with Integrity and created a new positive experience for me. Craig went above and beyond in making sure my second round of golf was positive. He took full accountability on behalf of UBC for the breakdown with my first experience, and made sure that my second round went differently.He went above and beyond when we arrived in setting us up, and providing us with little "extras" that went a LONG way. Needless to say we had an incredible experience. Thank you Craig. You are the reason i will continue to golf at UBC's course.

Just horrible customer service/satisfaction, since the covid changes. They force you to book and pre pay for the entire 4som, and even if it’s a thunder/lightning storm, they are make you play, or loose the entire cost of all 4 golfers. They essentially charge you $240 to cancel or reschedule due to a lightning storm. Just ridiculous. Even without a storm, if you book a 4som and one guy bails, you have to pay for his or her, full green fee regardless. UBC golf course mafia in full effect. No other course did this, even in the beginning of the pandemic. Restrictions have been lifted, and all other courses are back to normal, except UBC is still enforcing this nonsense.

There were soggy patches here and there. For $76 includes pull cart, pretty good value considering we played on a weekend. Pace of play was excellent as we teed off at 7:40 am and finished the round by 11:15 am. Go early and you will be rewarded with fast play.

Over priced course in the summer. Great value in the Winter. Pretty bad drainage in the fall winter. Maybe it’s because I have golfed here so many times, but doesn’t do much for me. Decent track. One of the starters can be a bit of a handful haha. Ohhh also I hate their new Covid system that you can only cancel 5pm the day before. Every other golf course I’ve ever golfed at I can cancel up to 4hrs a head of time. Be careful if you’re booking as they will charge your credit card after 5 pm.

Had our wedding at this venue and what an amazing place! Joni Martinson (Event Coordinator) and the rest of the UGC staff were an absolute delight to work with! Venue is stunning to say the least (we got married outside in the gardens, by the gazebo) and the food was beyond delicious! I had several wedding guests remark to us as to how delicious the food was! Hats off to everyone at UGC for making our wedding day that much more perfect!

We go there frequently over many years. Unfortunately we were very disappointed in the service and the size of food dish last night. A Classic Beef Hamburger squeezed in a size of 'kid hamburger'. Service was not great either. Unfortunately we will not be gong back if this type of service continues.

Terrible brunch experience! Waited 35min to be seated, and 50 more minutes for food after ordering. When food arrived, plates were essentially filled with burned, dry and cold potato chips. The food and service standards in the restaurant are a shame to an otherwise nice and well-maintained golf club.

Golf course layout is pretty forgiving but not a bad course overall. Could be better maintained - the rough was burnt and even fairways were yellow in spots. Greens were quite hard but rolled well for the most part. Played here at 3:30 on a Thursday and the course was absolutely packed, which is fine, but there was no Marshall on the course. We waited on every single hole, and the group in front of us haven't even left the teebox on most holes. The round took 5:30 to play and would have been closer to 6 had 2 groups in front of us not dropped off on the back 9.

This place is definitely declining. I don't know if it's the staffing or the management but from the restaurant and the golf range, it is clearly getting worse. This year, I come to the range handful times at least before 10 mins of described last ball time to find out they already shut down the service. Wasted my time and gas driving here to find out they are closed. Their food is also clearly going downhill. Just look at the menu for dinner. It got so less choices now and somedays very slow service when the restaurant is not even full. I never had this kind of issue when I was a regularly coming here from 10 years ago to 5 years ago. I still have so many range tokens which I regret my purchase.

Been coming here for decades. The menu and decor has basically been the same since the turn of the millenium -- not in a bad way, but in a way that feels like going to a second home. Food is basic pub fare, you won't find anything particularly special, but will always get a decent meal at a cheap price. Nice atmosphere and the balcony out back is nice in the summer.

Only used the driving range and putting green. Really good facility, good mats, generic yellow balls, covered and uncovered stalls, $13 for a large bucket. Bus stops right outside if you don't have a car.

Big “thank you” to Joni and the staff at UGC! Our April 2018 wedding was absolutely perfect! We couldn't have chosen a better venue. All of the staff we dealt with were so helpful and friendly. We can't thank them enough for making our wedding such a memorable day! Joni, the event coordinator at UGC, was so helpful, and she was so organized when we met with her a month and a half before our wedding. She answered every question that we emailed her, and she responded in a timely manner every time. Joni was very accommodating with any requests that we had. We appreciated this very much. She was an absolute pleasure to work with! In regards to the venue itself: - We loved the gazebo, and the beautiful path/walkway down to it, and the bridge. It was a very picturesque and romantic spot to get married. The red carpet was a nice touch as well. - The Salons room made for a beautiful reception room. - The whole venue was very well kept and maintained. - The food and beverage menus were impressive and well priced. It was nice having many meal options to choose from, and the variety of dishes was excellent! - The food was excellent! A lot of our guests commented on how good it was. - It was really nice to attend their annual tasting event as well. We can’t say enough good things about UGC, and we will be sure to recommend them to anyone and everyone. Thanks, again!

Feels like an old cafeteria or old diner. They can do better for the place that it is. Food is ok, drinks as well. I go there pretty often, so I know the place well because it is the only place there, they did snob me once a few months ago. I was sweating a bit, they told me the restaurant was closed even though they were many customers still in and many tables available. Didn't appreciate it at all.
