Been here a few times for their 3 course dinner. Always like it. This year they have the new menu out. Increased from 25 /person to 28. Which is reasonable. Still happy with their menu and their dishes. Not sure their wine selection, we didn’t get into their wine menu. Service was good. Originally when we made reservation online, we have party of 4. Yet, they didn’t have table at the time we requested but have 2 tables of 2. So we booked them separately. When we arrived. Asked the hostess if ok to have a table for 4. She was very accommodating and did it with a smile. Waiter was polite and efficient with water and menus. Always prompt to be around, food was out in a very good timing. Table was cleared not too long after we finished each courses. Food was in good temperature and tasty. It was a very nice meal and a very nice evening. Definitely go back again.

Loved the dineout menu! Definitely worth the $34 for a three course meal with relatively large portions. The lobster and toffee cake were my favourite parts of the meal. The server was friendly, the food was served in a timely manner, and there was a nice view of the golf course. Would highly recommend!

It is beside a golf course which is convenient for people who like to play it. You may also eat outdoors, with a beautiful scenery of a grass field.

This is a generous 4 star as my experience had many issues. This is a favorite place of a relative of mine so I'm giving them a grain of salt and hoping that the issues are not common. Our server was not passionate about the food and gave a very typical it is all good answer without going into details. I had asked which is better out of 2 items. The response was that are the same except one has meat and one is vegetarian. We had issues being seated as well. The steak my partner had was not cooked to specification, but they did replace it without hassle. We had to wait awhile for the quality check and it did not arrive until I was half done my meal while my partner had to wait. As well, once the corrected item was served, the server did not wait to ensure that it was done correctly. I would not recommend the duck grilled cheese unless you are really craving duck. It tasted like reheated duck, not fresh. I feel like the other sandwiches might be better. The bread was done nicely. The other food items ordered were better with the seafood chowder being the best one. Portions are generous. There is plenty of parking. As it is attached to a golf course it's great that you can do something to build up your appetite before you go.

Highly recommend this venue for weddings! We had our wedding here during a pandemic. From the very initial inquiry of the venue, to wedding planning and to the actual wedding celebration, Bradley Binkley was really polite, helpful and accommodating to us. He is quick to respond to our inquiries and emails, and we felt pampered and very well taken care. The venue is top notch! Really stunning and beautiful. Our guests raved on how beautiful and elegant of the venue is. Right from the entrance of the building, to the reception area and then to outdoor courtyard, the venue emanates class and beauty. We had plated dinner for our food. The portion was surprisingly huge. We weren't able to finish our food, and sadly wished we knew beforehand that we can pack the food home. Our guests were big fans of the steak and lobster meal. Oh... and the chocolate cake, wow. Delicious! We are very blessed and grateful for Bradley and the Riverway team for helping us in planning (and pulling off) an amazing and safe wedding. We look forward to spending our anniversaries here in the future!!

I originally had a destination wedding planned, but due to the pandemic I had to switch to a small, local wedding instead. I was so disappointed until I came across The Riverway Clubhouse in Burnaby, suggested to me by Vinelli at Power of Threee (wedding planner + day of coordinator). The Riverway Clubhouse is GORGEOUS! It was exactly what I had dreamed of for my local wedding. The staff at Riverway are amazing – thank you Bradley Binkley for helping sort out all the wedding details and answering all my questions as the COVID restrictions kept changing. The servers and bartenders were so great and very attentive. For you pandemic brides: they offer Micro Wedding packages that are VERY reasonably priced. The venue is so beautiful; perfect for your ceremony and reception. They follow all the COVID restrictions and regulations, so all our guests felt very safe being there. We had 20 guests and there was so much space to social distance and it didn’t feel restrictive in any way. Thank you so much to the Riverway staff for making my wedding feel so special and magical. It was perfect. I will recommend this venue to all my friends.

I’ve been here few times before plus a wedding and honestly don’t remember the food. Last night I came for a girls night out and got the 3 course meal. The salad was ok, it had crab meat and one avocado stuffed ball. The New York steak and lobster was just ok… the flavours was missing something and the steak wasn’t the best cut in my opinion. The dessert was canelli with espresso ice cream. The ice cream with espresso was delicious, however, the canelli looked burnt and was overdone. Overall I would come for the atmosphere and wonderful service. But food is average because it really isn’t quite fine dining.

We were here for the $25 three-course dinner special. It's a reasonable price for a three course meal and they had very decent offerings. My meal consisted of the Italian meatball, lobster burger, and waffle with ice cream. The food is good but I wouldn't say it's exceptional. We went during the evening so couldn't really see the view outside but the overall atmosphere of the restaurant is quite warm and woodsy. I would go again to try their regular menu as well.

We always love coming here for their three course dining special. Started off with their corn chowder. Very tasty and their garlic bread might have even edged out the ????. It was that good! I ordered the ribs and the ???? tail of course. Very tender ribs and liked the smoky bbq flavour. The tail was good but not as tasty as the ones you get from a Chinese restaurant. I’ll take it though for +$6. Their clubhouse burger is always a crowd pleaser and you can taste it’s been flame???? grilled… or they just left it outside in the sun given our recent heat wave. Ended the meal with their tiramisu. Quite good and not too sweet so a nice end to the meal.

This is one of my family's favorite place to go to. We love how beautiful the scenery is and how amazing the food usually taste. However decided to come back again for their April 3-course meal and thought that my steak was average and a bit on the colder side. With that being said, it was still a good offer considering u get an appetizer, entrée and dessert for $30.

Came here for Dine Out before Covid, and it was magnificent. The dinner was delicious with nice offerings. Ordered the Surf and Turf, and I couldn't be more impressed. The lobster tasted great. Additionally, for Dine Out, it was a good value. Would recommend.

Dine out Vancouver 2021. Came on a Wednesday night for their $34 3-course dinner. For appetizer I chose the duck confit dip which I kind of regretted. The presentation wasn't the best and and the jus had a distinct taste I didn't like it. Next was the steak and lobster, for $34 I mean I couldn't really complain but if the chef would torch the lobster for an extra 10 second it'd make the entire dish much better instead of the greenish color as if it's still raw. The steak was a bit tough even though I asked for medium rare so I guess it wasn't a good cut. I'm also not a big fan of the Yorkshire pudding because of the blue cheese stuffing. Lastly for dessert, I didn't have much hope since there's only 1 option. Surprisingly it's actually the best out of all the courses. The toffee cake was fluffy and warm, which complimented nicely with the vanilla ice cream. The chocolate drizzle and crushed pistachios were a nice touch too.

Very nice building, the architecture looks great. Very clean and friendly staff. Make sure you book a reservation before going. I find the menu was a little limited but everything we tried was very good. The steak was perfectly cooked and $7 for a 3oz lobster tail addon is a great deal and was cooked perfect like the steak. The price of everything is completely reasonable. I will 100% be coming back as service and food was very good. This would be 5 stars if they had a better selection of alcoholic drinks. The prices are reasonable however not many selections on drink menu and they couldn't create 2 basic drinks both because of missing ingredients. Food and service 5 stars these guys get 5 stars. Maybe next time they will have more drink ingredients so I can update this review.

Our wedding was in June 2019. We can't express how amazing Riverway Clubhouse's service was. Their customer service was impeccable and consistent which is really quite hard to find nowadays. Bradley (our contact) was unbelievebly helpful everytime we had a question or needed advice on how to plan our special day. All the other staff knew what they were talking about and was always happy to assist in any way they could. With so much else going on with planning a wedding, they made it an easy and effortless expereince which I felt made our day SOSO much better. They also accomodated our cultural and traditional requests! And their food was soo delicious! We still get good comments from our guests! Thank you Riverway Clubhouse for such a wonderful and beautiful venue! It wouldnt have been the same without you!. HIGHLY reccomended.

Throughout the year of postponement, Brad has been very accommodating with our questions and was very proactive in providing updates to the venue restrictions. Ultimately, we decided to go with another smaller venue to celebrate, but I would highly recommend Brad and his team due to their professionalism and prompt service!

We had our wedding at Riverway Clubhouse two weeks ago and were absolutely blown away! From the very first day we met Bradley, he was accommodating, helpful, kind and made our wedding planning a breeze. He and his team were so professional and fun - our guests had the best time! It was an awesome party and the food was absolutely incredible. Bradley and the Chef were amazing in tailoring the menu to our liking. In planning our Christmas wedding, I had been told that Riverway does their own decorations for the season as they host many Christmas dinners and cooperate holiday events. I was so excited to go down and see the decorations a couple weeks before the wedding and I was FLOORED. The venue looked amazing! I couldn't believe my wedding was going to be so beautiful. Brad and his team literally made all my wedding dreams come true. Decor, food, ambiance, lighting, displays, EVERYTHING. I would recommend this venue to anyone for weddings or other events. Their menu and ambiance for a dinner is also highly recommended. My mom and I enjoyed our tasting so much we went back a few weeks before my wedding for dinner! We can't thank the Riverway team enough for making our wedding day so special and for making the planning process so enjoyable!

This place offers one of the best views from the patio in summer. Service was wonderful. The waitress offered my mother hot water and brought us the extra plates for sharing before we asked for that. Food quality was good and the price for three course meal was only $38. I will definitely go back on a good weather day.

We come here for the 3 courses for Christmas. This is not the first time we have been here and it is a delight. There isn't much to see at night and the restaurant is more like a banquet hall. They decorate the place with lots of Christmas trees and lights and are beautiful. I can't say enough if the value you get from here. I can't find a better place for the price. BTW, this is a city owned facility and no one would know.

Such a lovely Dineout2020 experience. I loved this 3 course meal. It will likely be my favorite dineout for this season. Appetizer: braised beef vol-au-vent. The pastry was light, crisp and had a good bite to it. I especially enjoyed the tender pieces of beef and gorgonzola, so delicious and paired with a fresh salad that was dressed with a simple oil and vinegar dressing. Entree: lobster and seafood medley. The chef was wise to separately plate the pasta and the seafood. The seafood was beautifully presented and equally delicious! That uni cream sauce was decadent. I happily ate each piece of seafood and alternated each bite with pasta. I was very impressed with the variety of seafood: scallop, mussels, one very large prawn, 2 pieces of Arctic char with very crispy skin, Atlantic lobster tail (unshelled) and 2 dollops of ikura, aka salmon roe or caviar. Each seafood piece was done to perfection! Kudos to the chef and the kitchen staff! Dessert: chili. 3-bite sized sweets. If you enjoy spice then this dessert is for you. I prefer sweet and salty but this dessert, or rather desserts, was sweet and spicy! I very much enjoyed the variety. And of course it wasn't too sweet nor too spicy but delicious! I would describe it as a deconstructed chocolate and peach crumble tart with japleno mint ice cream. The service was exceptional. The meal was divine. We will certainly come back, and not just for dineout seasons.

Lovely location they provided a great spread of food for my father in laws retirement party yesterday. They staff kept on top of empty glasses and food refills though they needed more vegetarian options. Went for the $28 special. So this review is regarding that's it $28. Good service in a spacious space. The lobster and steak was a great deal. Of course for the price don't expect Hys quality steak. So overall, I'm happy with this place. Basically if you're in the neighborhood and don't feel like making dinner that night, go here for a great deal. For the same price point, what are your options? White spot? Red robins? Boston pizza? At least here you get a real meal.

We celebrated our wedding at Riverway Clubhouse in November 2018. When we were looking for venues for our wedding reception, we had a few places in mind but as soon as we arrived at Riverway and saw how gorgeous the venue was with the high ceilings, wooden beams, and beautiful backdrop - we put our deposit right then and there! We were very glad that we did as Bradley and his team at Riverway did an absolutely phenomenal job! What really stood out to us was the level of service provided. Bradley went absolutely above and beyond and showed great patience in responding to each of our many questions (despite how detailed or potentially trivial they were). He responded in a timely manner, and he always made himself available to chat in the months leading up to the wedding. From the time that we put in a deposit to the day of the event (almost a year's time), he helped us during each step of the process. He checked in on us intermittently, helped to schedule the wedding menu tasting, and gave plenty of notice and friendly reminders for when to return certain forms and provide payments. On the wedding day itself, the staff were very attentive and responsive to our requests (e.g., tables and layout were set to exactly what we requested). The food was also delicious - we went for a buffet style and also had late night snacks. We and our guests thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at Riverway and our reception went so smoothly! We felt like we were in very good and experienced hands. I'd highly recommend Riverway Clubhouse to anyone looking to celebrate their wedding/reception.

Few days ago I went with friends for a special dinner to the Riverway Restaurant in South Burnaby. The location is nice with the green golf course and a small pond in front of the restaurant. We had to wait for several weeks until we were able to book a table. Surprisingly, when we went there, several tables remained free throughout the evening. I wonder, whether this is usual or, why it took so long to get a table booked. We had a three-course dinner that gave us some choices for appetizer and main course. Since we were several people, we decided to order most of the items and to share them. From the appetizers we liked most the “Roasted Peach & Edamame Salad”. But, we all could not find any edamame in that dish. The chicken karaage at another salad tasted interesting. However, taste of the accompanying salad was disappointing and the presentation of that whole appetizer was terrible. Same applied to the “Crispy Shrimp Purse”: The “Crispy Shrimp Purses” were a kind of deep fried wonton; the sesame vinaigrette was barely recognizable which made the taste of that salad quite bland; the salad got only an interesting note when mixed with the sweet chilli sauce from the wonton (could have been from a bottle bought at a supermarket). The presentation was, politely said unprofessional: We had three servings with that appetizer; the arrangement of the wonton appeared to be made in a hurry and the salad was placed on the plate in not very appealing manner. The entrees were better than the appetizers. The lobster linguine was not bad, although some of my friends complained that the linguine were too bland while I found them just comfortably mild. The steak at the “Steak & Lobster” was ok. However, some of the ordered steaks were rather well done than medium rare as ordered. But we all agreed that the mashed potatoes tasted great. The lobster tail in both of the mentioned dishes (Lobster Linguine and Steak & Lobster) was good. The mahi-mahi at our third type of main course was not so great; it was quite dry; the prawns at that dish had a good taste and many of us loved the coconut rice with the pineapple salsa. We all also liked the dessert: Belgian Waffle with vanilla ice cream and strawberry sauce. Very nice. One issue that we found very disturbing throughout the entire evening was the loud live music. Due to the loud music it was hard to carry out any good conversation. That caused that we did not feel so really relaxed during that dinner. The selection of songs played is a matter of preferences; but the volume was absolutely too loud. Another issue was the sunlight that was shining directly in the face of some of our friend. And the restaurant did not have any possibility to avoid that. Generally, the service was friendly. But, most of us expected more professionalism in the presentation and taste of the food (appetizers) and in the environment (music).

Decided to go here after reading a positive article calling the restaurant a "hidden gem". The restaurant itself seemed to have nice decor as well as a large open space with good views. Parking was a bit of a challenge but we didn't manage to find something (and it's free). The food was decent, but I didn't really find it that special. We opted for the $38 three-course meal and found it fair value for money, but the food itself was not remarkable (e.g. the lobster in my lobster burger didn't really taste that flavourful). The service was the weakest part of our experience. Our server seemed nice enough, but was large absent and quite inattentive. The restaurant didn't seem short-staffed tonight (at least three servers seemed to be on shift). We waited for a long time to be initially acknowledged after being seated, and there were long gaps where we couldn't find our server so we could flag them down for more water or other needs. We also waited for quite some time for our bill. Overall, 3/5. I'm not sure we will return.

Came here with my girlfriend and her parents for dinner, which was a 3-course meal for a moderate price of $30. The service was really good, and the food decent. It was your standard salad, entree and dessert. Nothing over the top, but still very good.

Such a gem of a wedding venue in the Burnaby area!!! From the high wood beam ceilings, the ability to flip the space from the ceremony spot to a reception hall, the intimate vibes and general coziness this venue provides is so lovely. We've been lucky enough to photograph quite a few weddings at Riverway Clubhouse, and every time we are not only blown away by how stunning the indoor reception space is, but man, the sticky toffee pudding served during dessert is worth the booking this venue alone! Hah! Such a warm, cozy, and intimate venue! Highly recommend!

We had the lobster burger and the seafood pasta and the food was so delicious, great price too. The view was spectacular and we took a short stroll after dinner. Perfect for date night and family dinners, we really love coming here.

Had a 3-course meal. Corn chowder was tasty. But the cod in linguine was kind of mushy, toasted garlic bread chewy and Graham shell of cheese cake hard and compact. Service was ok.

We recently had our wedding at Riverway Clubhouse! And Bradley was so wonderful and kind to work with He was understanding about the uncertainty of the pandemic and was helpful navigating our options through it all. He was personable and so thoughtful. I am so happy I chose Riverway for our ceremony and reception. The venue itself is stunning and did not require any extra decor (in my opinion!). We can’t thank Riverway and Bradley enough for making our day so special.

Went to do a wedding rehearsal for my friends wedding. we all stayed for dinner since there is a restaurant there. I was surprised by the food quality and price were both fairly decent and better than i expected. Nice view outside the restaurant also. Would def. go back.

The restaurant is spacious. Service is good considering the limited number of staff (possibly due to Covid-19) for a big place. Price is good but food quality is also compromised. I could taste the steak being not too fresh.

We just attended a wedding and the location was great in all aspects. The building is magnificent and offers great photo opportunities inside and being situated on a golf course and weather permitting, photo opportunities with a spectacular background are great as well. Of note is that, when you have this building booked, your event is the only one on site so it has an intimate feel in that regard. The staff were friendly, organized and welcoming. The food was outstanding and covid protocols were reasonable/responsible and adhered to.

Large eating area and Covid protocols firmly in place. ID and Vax cert required as per provincial regs. Food was excellent at the buffet and service was prompt, courteous and professional. Venue is a little noisy due to the acoustics of the room. Being heard over the room echo requires a little effort but its manageable

It was my wife's birthday. With the new COVID restrictions, we only celebrated ourselves. Came to this place with some high hopes especially for their $35 set dinner. The environment was very good and the decor was nice. All was still good, except the steak. I had the New York steak and I had a few issues: 1) the meat was powdery, suggesting it was previously frozen 2) the meat doesn't look like it was cooked raw on the grill. It almost liked precooked 3) the meet feels tenderized....And not by beating it ...

One of the best all-around wedding venues in the city! Brad and his team were absolutely fantastic. Organized, friendly, and efficient - they worked with us on our wedding vision to make our day truly special. The interior setting is beatiful with a pacific northwest vibe and we loved the gorgeous outdoor patio and seating area. The service staff treated our guests exceptionally well and we still talk about how delicious the food was!

Excellent course and the staff is great! Played yesterday and didn’t have my wallet at the turn to buy a sandwich. Aaron gave me one for free and took me at my word and that I’d come back today and pay for it, which I did. That sandwich helped me to a 35 on the back nine to beat my buddy! ????
