You will see all the reviews of real people who used the services and products of Greenacres Golf Course (Golf) in Burnaby (Canada).
At the moment the business gets a rating of 4 over 5 and that score has been based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that its rating is really good, and it is based on a very high number of feddbacks, so we can think that the assessment is very reliable. If people have bothered to evaluate when they are happy with the service, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to set feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Golf is included in the category of Public golf course.
Great course for all level players. Course condition is excellent.
Always enjoy Tuesday evening Ladies League
Terrible Club house staff. I tried to call up and book a tee time as there was an issue with their website, and the gentleman who answered the phone was incredibly rude and un helpfull.
Phenom greens! Nice and flat but long. Just swing it and ding it!
I have been going to this course for many years. I have to give it credit. The course has become way better in the past 3 years. Worth 40 bucks a round!
Love Green Acres. Frequently met pleasant golfers and my experience has always been great
We have had our work Christmas party at this beautiful location for the last 5 years and there are so many reasons!!! Their servers are extremely polite and quick to the draw, never an empty glass and empty plates disappear like magic!! Great prices for an amazingly awesome meal! And the bar is well stocked (and inexpensive)! We always leave happy and full :)
Terrible management at this course. They decided to close the course for the day but chose not to contact anyone who had morning tee times. My tee time was a few hours after they opened and I had to drive 50 minutes to play but the gate was locked. There were staff sitting in the clubhouse but nobody thought to contact anyone. You’d think it hat would be the first thing you do after choosing to close the course for the day... call the upcoming tee times.
Awesome
The golf course is great, but for the love of god don't order anything from the restaurant. (except alcohol) The only reason they stay in business is the closest competing restaurant is a Bread Garden.
This course is an absolute mess. To say it has patchy fairways is a massive understatement. The best lies you can find is in the rough. Basic course maintanance isn't done. Never playing there again.
come and join Mens Club saturday morning...great group of guys
Nice course, very walkable. Staff was very friendly.
The staff from the cashier and on the first tee box are efficient and very courteous! The fairways and the greens are well maintained!
Good course
Great course for weekly golf with friends.
The worst golf course I ever had, it is called park not even qualify as golf course, won’t come back again.
Nicely kept golf course, friendly pro shop, and decent value. Fairly forgiving wide fairways, not a ton of hazards, and the greens tend to play a little slow.
Great golf course. Especially for newer golfers. Excellent practice area
Our company booked this venue for a team meeting. We had plenty of parking, there was ample seating. The room was fine for space but very cold. Lunch was excellent, we had various sandwiches with 2 tasty soups, the tomato soup was a very present surprise! The deserts were amazing! There was plenty of coffee. I was pleasantly surprised with the whole venue. Thank you
Been here for a company event and my first time for golf. Interesting and nice experience.
Pretty good for winter golf
5 stars for the setting and service. 3 stars for the food. Price is the same as restaurants in the area. I wish they would find a way to make better tasting food.
Fantastic course.
Course was in pretty good shape but it was 4 hrs and 50 minute round. Waited at every tee box. Like to try it again but not at that pace
Well maintained green and fairways. I wanted to put 5 stars but the lady working this afternoon at restaurant cashier doesn't seem to be friendly.
Slow!
(Translated) The Greenacres Golf Course is relatively large and has good greenery. There are often red-headed cranes looking for food by the small pond. It is very close to the city. You can also play a game after get off work in summer. It is great. (Original) Greenacres Golf Course该场比较大,而且绿化好,里面经常過几只红头鹤在小池边寻找食物,这里离市区很近,夏天下班还可打一局,很棒哦。
This is an easier course, love playing here to practice my irons. Very fair pricing for the course.
I happened to shoot a hole in one and this place did nothing for me. I'm not saying i wanted a red carpet or a new car, but a pitcher of beer for the group of us would have shown some class. Or even a pat on the back. Lame, not going back.
Way too wet to play on that day.
Good prices
I want more ????
Tight fairways pretty busy course. Tee boxes and fairways aren't the best to hit cleanly off, makes it challenging.
(Translated) Grass maintenance is very flat and the price is really (Original) 草保養非常棒地勢平坦價格實在
Great course but not cheap cost 140.00 for a senior and an adult with a cart to do 18 holes
Not to bad, cheap and no line ups
Lots of sand on the course, perhaps by late April or May the winter damage will be clear. In the meantime, a lovely place to hit the ball and spend an afternoon or morning with friends.
Amazing course for the price. Long back nine and a mix between very wide holes and very narrow holes. The greens are generally really small and play very erratic. Very busy course these days and not for the most serious of golfers.
Good golf course that has some forgiving fairways. Pretty busy on the course as we had alot of people hitting into our lines. Some challenging greens made the course fun as well as the dog legs on a few holes. Overall the boys had a great time and will definitely be back.
Amazing course and service. The golf pro, Curtis, helped me improve my golf game by leaps and bounds. And his Marshall Glen is a real class act. The kitchen pumps out good food, pretty sure my hot dog was grilled. Highly recommend!
Great staff good food
Mostly open fairways, flat course w couple bathrooms
Nice easy course, grass around the greens in poor shape but for the price its pretty good .
Nice course, decent layout. Beware though, many people don't yell "fore" on wayward shots.
Bit muddy yet, but fir this early in the year I was extremely happy
(Translated) The ball is flat (Original) 球埸好平
Best value golf in Richmond! Lacks driving range but Richmond Driving range is literally across it, flat course but has plenty of trees!
The fairways and tee boxes were in terrible shape. Doesn’t look like they have anything under repair. 58 bucks for maybe the worst course I’ve played this summer. The greens are in good shape but that’s it!
A great course at a surprising price! Well manicured and playable. Small but challenging greens. Friendly staff. All in all a very pleasant four hours!
super friendly staff
Friendly staff, not the best course but it gets the job done!
Green Acres is a great Full Par 73 Golf Course in Richmond, BC
Fun golf course
It's a solid bang for your buck with the golf now 15$ green fees. I'd classify it as a lower middle range course. Decently well kept and open year-round. Tends to get over-priced in peak season, however.
Old school course. Not a whole lot of wow. Just plain old flat land. Good for a slow easy day of golf. Needs better upkeep though.
Good course for amateurs, as there aren't too many ridiculous hazards. Rates, including weekends, are very reasonable. Tee box areas could use some maintenance.
Very poor conditions. 2 fairways completely under water. Greens are actually decent.
I've played Greenacres Golf Course a few times and every time I play there, I enjoy it more each time. The course layout is excellent because it provides a good challenge to any golfer at any level. The fairways are fairly wide and tree lined in most cases. There's bunkers strategically placed and water hazards that add to the excitement and makes a flat course interesting. It's definitely a thinker's course because it lets the golfer decide what club to choose and where to hit the ball. I would highly recommend this course to any golfer who enjoys a walk and a good round of golf.
Overpriced.
Has gotten a lot better from before. Greens are well kept.
Too expensive for what you get
Easy to book, winter condition bad
This place is terrible. It has potential with long and tight holes, but the owners obviously don't care or invest. The golf course right beside it is far superior (Mayfair Lakes).
Great golf.course and fantastic prices. Course recovering from the winter so a little sandy in places but it's well kept
Played the course on a sunny spring Saturday with family and friends. Things were in great shape, the greens were fast, and the staff were friendly. Will definitely return!
Great place to golf
Nice course,good mens league
Nice course to walk!
This place is one of golf course in Richmond B.C.
I only lost one ball????
Hot
Well maintained and good price.
Played on Tuesday August 10. Golf course was in a good shape, friendly staff, reasonable priced.
Conditions were great, staff was very helpful. Would definitely go here again.
Nice course
Played with my son on Sunday. I haven't played the course in 25 years. The course was in good shape, greens nice. No Marshall's on course, so it was pretty slow. You do have to be aware when playing this course. I had one golf ball bounce right in front of me, another rolled past us and ball hit my cart when I was sitting in it.....I must be a ball magnet....lol Overall, we enjoyed the course, plays well, staff is extremely friendly. I will play there again....go try it out. Priced well ????⛳
It's the best way to ruin a walk in the woods, golfing ; )
This is an awesome golf course!
Always a fun course to play at
Best golf deal in the city!!!!
(Translated) A high-quality golf club with good management, especially the service staff are enthusiastic, friendly and helpful... (Original) 管理良善的優質球場俱樂部,尤其服務人員熱心、親和、樂於助人 ...
Great round today - course good shape hot and sunny - nice patio umbrellas and cold drinks
We had our Clubs Christmas party here this year. Good traditional Christmas dinner served buffet style. The staff did a great job. The location is central to all of our members who love in Metro Vancouver.
Great day of golf but very disapointed we were unable to have any food. Closed at 4 pm
I would give 3.5 stars. No beautiful view or scenery. Fairways maintenance very so so. Short course. No blue tee. And balls flying in on your fairways often (watch out at all moment, even when you are teeing off, balls falling from the sky…). But I do give credits for the greens.
Lovely intermediate course in great condition. Very open fairways and you can usually find your stray balls on the next fairway over. Highly recommended for players moving up to full sized course as it won't be too frustrating. Not as recommended for advanced players as course is somewhat light on hazards and challenges. Best to play here right after rain (or during); clay ground gets very hard after a week of hot sun.
Well maintained, great staff, and great place to play
Good greens and nice length but some nasty pins out there today.
Excellent food
Great value, course was in great shape and offers a variety of challenges throughout the round. Will be back.
Best place to have a round of golf meet friends and fine dining. If you are on a budget this place is for you !
nice to get a round in. hot day. bright, very difficult to see the ball off the tees esp. on back nine. social distancing measures in place. course looked and played in good shape. good exercise. fun!!
I played last Tuesday a round of golf with my buddies and I think they taking care of the fairways and the greens. I am looking forward to play again next week! ????️
Nearby with 30 minutes of Vancouver International Airport.
Course is hit and miss. Have played some quick dry quality rounds here. But have also played some super slow, super wet, mucky rounds. They sometimes have good deals on golfnow, stick to those.
Minuscule greens and horrible course maintenance
The staff are friendly and the course is in decent condition. I hadn't been to Greenacres in over 20 years and we only booked it because it was the only course available on short notice. I won't go.back. the front 9 is short. I was hitting hybrids or 3 wood off all the par 4&5s. The back 9 is longer but still didn't need driver. Then greens were very slow.
Not a bad short track. But wish they have full time marshal on the course. Too many times we were stuck behind slow groups in front. 5 hour round is not acceptable.
Love the course
Had a good time with spouse.. Full length course played in under 5 hours. Pace of play was good. Fairways could be better..but better than other courses. Will play again.
Swamp like during early spring. Maybe better during summer.
While it's nice to see Greenacres open again for the season, I'm thinking that the steep green fee of $42 was not good value today .... Why? The side roughs on many of the fairways still had a lot of wind blown debris; pine cones, twigs & branches, leaves and the fairways even had a lot of loose sand to fill in the former puddles, there was no suggestion of grass seed ... the 14th fairway even had three large piles of sand in the middle! It was not knocked down in any way ... The greens still need to recover from the winter, they're just starting to grow .... I'll not likely play a Saturday again, it was a hackers haven there today, other groups tee shots ended up on everyone else's fairways that contributed to slow play, it took us 5 hours minimum to finish our round .... no Marshall to be seen.
Fun course in pretty good condition. Just watch out for balls from the nearby holes.
Course is definitely in need of some upgrades. On a busy day I don't understand why there was no marshal controlling pace. Also to note, the course is like a large wide open field and you can easily be struck by an errant shot. I would not recommend this course. If you're looking for golf in Richmond, Mayfair Lakes is in far better condition for a much more reasonable price.
Great course!
Very clean golf course, wonderful employees. I will visit again for sure
Good for special events hosted by businesses
Nice layout. Not overly challenging. Greens feel spongy and slow at times. Pace of play could be monitored better.
Staff probably had a bad day. Scold us for not calling in for booking. The entire day was open on their website due to rain, so we thought we could just walk in. Also questioned us if we have our own set of clubs. Me and my friend looked like 2 students in the principle office. ????
Actually not bad today. Greens were really good. One fairway had a puddle but other than that, no complaints. $50 for a Friday morning round in the summer is a good deal to me
Drainage was excellent. Nicely maintained course for the price
Playing this course for the 1st time as a newbie golfer, I must say it is very very playable. Nice big fairways and the right amount of difficulty. The grounds were kept well. I Will be playing this course moving forward as well recommending it to friends and family.
Golf course in nice shape
Cheap fair fun recreational golf course. Good for beginners to scratch golfers. Open flat course. Great value
Wide open fairways and greens on most holes strategic marsh beware... 17 is a par 3 and 18 is a par 5,great day. Play the long ball at Green Acres with some beautiful scenery with the trees to your advantage. Will play again someday.
Nice big course with good fairways and greens. Great place to golf.
Decent course. Nothing special though
Course was dry and hard fairways. Also mandated we play with other outside of our social bubble breaking COVID POLICIES. Felt very uncomfortable and under appreciated. Updated Aug 13/20. Management was still not willing to accept that they overbook, do not respect customers concerns about expanded our social bubble and do not inform you if your other pairing players are walking or playing with carts essentially wasting your money.
good staff nice course one of my favorite
Poor condition
We hadn’t played at Greenacres Golf Course for quite some time. The Marshall that greeted us was very personable and before we tee-d off he handed each of our foursome a lunch menu sheet consisting of sandwiches and drinks and the phone number to call ahead and order your lunch and then pick up at the end of our 9th hole. I thought this was a really good idea. The course was in very good shape, especially the greens which were really nice. We really enjoyed the course and will definitely be back soon. The one disappointment was the patio and restaurant which definitely needs a bit of an upgrade.
Edit: Sept 21 2017 Owner responded to my google review as per below. DO NOT fall for this as some sort of management team that cares. I followed up and sent an email as per their instructions. They did not respond. I figured it was maybe lost, sent a 2nd email to follow up, nothing. They are simply responding to google reviews to make it seem like they are doing things for their customers. What an incredible scam. It upsets me that people will actually think the management team at GA really cares, when they don't. You've lost a long time and local customer. Very disappointed in your tactics. My colleagues and I have played at Green Acres a few times as it is a local course close by. We were viewing the rates online and noticed a twilight price of $24 per player at 5:30 tee times. We called in to book our foursome and asked on the phone "the price is $24 per player correct" the agent said yes I think so. We got to the pro shop, and it was unattended, we waited for 5 minutes and someone finally showed up. We proceeded to pay and to our surprise it came out to $32 per player. We asked the staff working there isn't the rate $24/ player like it showed online. He said "that's the price if you book it online". We told him we saw the price online and we didn't know there were 2 different rates, we also confirmed with the person on the phone about the price. If we knew there were 2 different rates, we would have booked online. He then said, "well you didn't". The pro shop member had an extremely poor attitude. The course was NOT busy. From a customer standpoint, we should have expected something like this. Not the first time Green Acres has tried to nickle and dime us. DO NOT play in the winter or when it rains. Drainage is extremely poor and honestly not worth the discount. If you're in the Richmond area and want to play a nice twilight course, go to Mayfair, rates are similar to Green Acres "online rates". I would not recommend players come to Green Acres unless you want to be treated like a 2nd class customer
Course is in great shape. Great value as well!
Bad fairways and greens
Great course and at a very reasonable price!
Pretty typical sandwich variety lunches. As with most golf courses, the clientele are almost exclusively there for business. Much less snooty than the other places in the area, but don't expect your food to come in a hurry.
Course is in great shape, wish I could say the same abut my golf game ???? Really miss not being able to have a beer afterwards.
Greenacares staff are friendly and helpful, and the course is good value.
Smash your drive on almost every hole!
Very friendly staff. Course in good condition. First nine maybe a bit short for men but good for women.
This place is horrible, booked for a certain time and when we came there the front counter associate told us off. Why are you overbooking and wasting others time?
Well maintained course! Will come again
Had a mediocre time golfing this poorly kept golf course and an even worse experience from a rude and disrespectful Marshal (Thomas). I would like a follow up from the head pro or GM of GreenAcres Golf Course. I also just had a friend golf there today who has negative feedback on the same Marshal (Thomas). The Marshal should be spending more of his time with the groundskeepers than harassing and disrespecting his customers.
Swamp very slopy
Horrible HORRIBLE place to golf. Owner is stuck up and very rude. The fairway is so bad and patchy.. Would not reccomend this place to anyone.
Fun to play, not that hard course.
Over priced at $48.50 a round. Disrespectful marshalls. Poor quality fairways. Just an all around poor experience regardless of a great score. 1/5 will not return.
Good round with forgiving fairways for all levels.
Had a great time shootin gaff with the fellas
The course smells like rotton alfredo sauce.
First time golfing there. It's a big course. Kinda loud during rush house since it is next to the highway. Will go again.
Nice course. They have removed some trees and that makes it a little more open.
great experience- less waiting time at all holes as they give a 10 min gap between tee offs
Ssshhhhh don't tell everybody about this gem great drainage green were punched but have recovered excellently
Not bad course easy to get tee time
Very beginner friendly course. Great deal in the afternoon and evening as well.
Like it
this place is awesome customer service from del and curtis is amazing
Great local course. Played in the summer and winter. Well kept in the summer, fairly friendly fairways. Looking forward to a spring round.
Great course but terrable everything else. Cant get a snack playing an early round dont take cash. No above and beyond service. Great cost for the round and up keep of course rest can use work
Beautiful day of golf with 15 other good buddies! Thank you!
Very playable course although is was a bit slow today. The fairways are kind of furry right now but the greens are in really good shape.
Good course for beginners. Just don't leave a club behind you'll never see it again. Bunch of yahoos play that course where they empty their drink and throw it in the water trap.
(Translated) The course is pretty and difficult. The price is cheaper than I thought. I rented a club, but the condition of the club is not good. (Original) 코스 예쁘고 어려움.생각보다 가격이 쎔.클럽 렌탈 했는데 클럽 상태도 안좋음.
Good course conditions, open fairways with small greens makes this course more challenging than it looks.
Fun Course! Only played twice so far, but have enjoyed it. Good distance, and very well maintained.
Had a horrible experience golfing at Green Acres. I golfed with a group of very respectful university students and the marshal decided to wreck our round. After being told to go out for our first hole by the staff in the clubhouse, the marshal spoke very poorly to us and followed us for the rest of our round. The marshal stated that "people like us need to babysat". The fact that we are all very advanced golfers with handicaps around 5-8 has led me to believe that the marshal (a senior) does not like 18-19 year old teens golfing. This is discrimination. We are avid golfers and sadly we are going to have to golf somewhere else for now on.
Great golf course! Greatest women’s fun league!
Great course Love the Challenging narrow fairways
406PM tee time, good pace of play, 3hr45min round. The course / grass was cut real short and played nice...only negagive was the greens were a bit soft / spongy. I like this place / been coming back since the early 2000's.
Don't waste your money playing here - golf course is mediocre and the management is horrendous. Played for the first (and last) time on May 26th. When we signed in for our 5.20pm round, never once was it mentioned that there was a curfew of 9pm. So to our dismay, when we walked off the 18th around 9.15pm, we discovered that all 3 of our cars had been locked in to their carpark with no way out! Eventually we were able to get hold of their manager, via an RCMP officer, and his apathetic response was to take a cab home. There's clearly no regard for their customers well being or satisfaction. There are similar reviews to this one stating the exact same experience, so I know this isn't the first time this sort of thing has happened - hopefully it won't happen to you!
Nice course. Fairly flat but some challenging holes. A bit too expensive per person because you play along the noisy highway for a while and it’s not a beautiful course. But well enough maintained.
Been playing here regularly for the last year and the course has actually steadily improved its conditions. The drainage seems fine despite its previous reputation, the fairways are cut short so you can actually get good roll out on your drives, and the greens are mostly in very good shape now compared to some that had g.u.r. last season.
Awesome place!
pace was ok, traffic noise if awful
A fun, challenging and overall enjoyable 18 holes of golf that will have you wanting to play it again and again. Course management is great with firm and fast fairways and greens. Great value for the quality of golf you are getting!
It is clean and dry
Excellent environment.
Fun course that requires some skill with the irons. Early spring conditions weren’t the greatest but will probably be much better in the summer.
Great affordable course. Food is worth a try too! Will be coming again.
Not too crowded. Gives you good playing pace. Nice combination of long drives and par 3s.
Great course and well kept. Enjoyed playing and will be back soon! Special thanks to Adam for the hospitality. Always a pleasure!
Decent Course, not to busy!
Lovely golf course, nice guest service & very friendly staff. I had a problem with my pull cart, the staff fixed mine and bring it to me, while he fixing it he let me use their pull cart, I could play. It just feel like 5 star hotel service. I really enjoyed my day. Thanks a lot.
Generally friendly service. Pleasant enough surroundings. Outdoor patio seating available in nice weather. Typical lunch fare menu reasonably well prepared at average prices. Fish tacos, while not authentic, are quite good.
Great course, great people great price. Best deal in town. Marshall Glen was wonderful and top notch keeping the groups moving...keep up the great work.
Fun course in Richmond with great rates for twilight golf...
Course could use some love!
Why are you guys still open while all other golf courses in richmond have closed? is it all about $$ to you? what a shame
Good food. Full bar but don't know how to make a simple cocktail
Always a great time on the links, great course, tight fairways and good greens.
Good Value, the course was in good shape. Tree lined fairways with some occasional water. Greens sped up as the day went on. I’d play it again ????
What a bad customer service. We played sunset. The person at desk was not friendly at all. He told us to finish it by 9PM. So, we rushed and tried to finish. We skipped couple of holes and came to end at 9:07PM. We shocked that we were locked inside the golf course. The sun set around 9:15PM, it was still bright. Our cars parked inside, and cars were visible to anyone leaving the course. We noticed that outside gate locked and we were unable to take our cars out. What kinds of management, who employed irresponsible .person at desk to deal with customer. Yes, we were 7 minutes late but he must check before closing the doors and gates.
Very nice view, close location. I liked here
Awful experience golfing at Green Acres. Was told by the clubhouse staff that we needed to have 2 bags to play the course so we could keep pace with the rest of the golfers (we were sharing clubs in one bag). They made my girlfriend carry an empty bag for the entire 18 holes to "make it look like she had her own clubs". After 9 holes we were at least 3 holes ahead of the group behind us so we dropped the EMPTY BAG off at the turn around. A staff member brought it back to us on the tenth tee block and informed us that we needed to keep carrying the EMPTY BAG. Not only did the bag just slow us down, it was completely embarrassing and pointless carrying an empty bag for 18 holes. We will definitely never go back to this course. Poor customer service skills.
Nice
Good location
Always. Accomodating no. Extra charges advance. Booking . Very respectful. Staff.
Fun track, well maintained, price is right
nice golf course! good twilight price
The day started off great but the Marshall was super annoying and would continuously follow our group around. Even when asked to leave he would give us a lecture about how he can't babysit us. Overall the Marshall ruined the experience and was super rude.
