Well maintained course! Very friendly staff! ????️‍♂️⛳

The green fee is a little expensive for the quality of the course. However, the staff were friendly and course marshals kept the pace of play.

Lee MacDonald

Jordan Isaacs

Been playing golf for 30 years and this is the only course that I've seen 5 groups on one hole. No marshall in site on the whole front 9. Tee boxes are 75% mud. Worst course in the Lower Mainland.

เกรแฮม รัดด์

I want to give the course a 4 star rating but it just lacks the little refinements that is needed to make that happen. Great value for certain, one of the most original and challenging designs, but it lacks the overall conditioning that makes it a 4 star facility. You get more than you pay for on the course, so that is all that matters. Recommended.

Brent Williams

Joel Fricke

Because it's by river and other factors it must be tough for them to maintain dry conditions and can get pretty muddy, but the course itself is beautiful and I really love the design and layout.

Kris Doerksen

Always love golfing here...course a bit beat up due to lack of rain but greens still really nice. A couple bottlenecks on the course which make for a bit of slow play but all in all a great evening of golf

Russell Kempe

Basically a Muni in quality. Way too many Asian's with push carts. Should be a 4 hour round, but mine was almost 5.5 hrs due to the walkers. Zero Marshaling. Walkers are left to their own devises.

Doesn't flood as much as it used to

(Translated) The scenery is great. It is especially beautiful in summer and autumn. Needless to say, it's beautiful during autumn leaves. The grass is normal. It's great to drive in Papaives. It's not a course where you lose a lot of balls. Of course, it depends on the handyman, but even with the same handyman, it is wider than other places, and there are not many puddles and trees, so I think it is the best course to hit. Red Hat disappeared, so it became too expensive. It was nice when I had Red Hat, You need to be careful in winter. It is slippery. There are many hills, so it can be very dangerous when there is a little ice in winter. There is ice and it is slippery due to high humidity. Especially since there are hills (Original)

Needs alot of work. Course is super muddy and wet.

Spring is here! Easter weekend and a round at Belmont. A good choice in this area.

Timothy Tao

It's a decent course - wish there was a proper driving range on site for a good warm up. Conditions are OK, but tee box maintenance could be improved. Set up can be challenging, especially with holes that have water in play. Overall a good experience, but there are some other courses nearby and up the road that I'd rather play at.

I work there it a great Job. started April 01 / 14 good people.

Rick Sanderson

I was very disappointed with the conditions of the cart paths and the fairways. With all the money they are making during this covid19 you would think that they could prove it. In order for this course to become a class 1/2 course they need to repair a lot of fairways. The “only” good thing about this course was the greens. Oh! Also the “tees” really need to be repaired too. So sad. I’ll never go back.

Jamie F

I understand that running a golf course is not an inexpensive thing. But my experience at Belmont was really underwhelming and a disappointment to say the least. Prime time green fee of $70 and cart fee took the total over $90 for a course that had more water in the bunkers than it looks like the fairways have ever had in the summer and it left a bitter feeling. Not a terrible layout and the greens were great, but I will definitely not go back.

James Lee

Josh Stevenson Drums

Beautiful views. Usually in poor condition and extremely slow pace of play.

Fun, enjoyable layout. Greens and Fairways in great shape.

Long waits for par 3s, starting on 5 and never really recovered. Most tee boxes were pretty chewed, a few fresh ones but were coned off. Beautiful scenery and good condition otherwise. Just a shame to not be able to finish the back because of the wait times. Would not recommend for an afternoon / work round

Love this place. The staff are real friendly and the price isn't bad. Brought my 2 younger boys there ones 6 and the other 4 , and they get the exposure of golf and proper etiquette. Putt a few balls around for free. Great place

Bunker need more sand... please??

Csaba Szabo

Nice looking course but they clearly way over book themselves, some par three's had 3 group's waiting! Also the tees are in horrible condition, red/white /blue were from the same spot on a bunch of holes, I'm honestly shocked this is part of the west coast golf group

Steve Johnson

great course! very enjoyable round

Friendly at staff !

Robert Lake

I played here last week and i had one of my best round of golf ever. So when you play well you tend to like a course more than when you dont. Staff was really friendly and the course was in good shape, not great, but good. Fairways could use a little work in some areas but overall i would say they are in good shape. The greens were nice, but not enough people fix their ball marks. Rough was tough to play out of, which it should be. I will say this though, probably the nicest sand traps ive ever hit out off. The sand is light and soft and fluffy making for clean strikes from the bunker. Huge downaide to this course is the amount of Asians who take forever and never let you play through. I was behind an asian couple while.i was byself witha cart. They never asked me to play through despite me waiting for them on 4 holes in a row. So i asked and they said no. I wound up teeing up anyways and playing through regardless because there was nobody in front of them and they were slowing the entire course down. My last 4 holes went by in no time flat. Its reasons like this that rounds here can take 5 or 6 hours. Biggest downside is the pace. I was a single with a cart and it took me 5.5 hours to finish the course. Too many hackers and slow players with no marshal around to keep up the pace. My team time was 3:45 and i finished just after 9:00. I will definitely go back. Hopefully it was just that round that was slow .

I have a love-hate relationship with Belmont. The course itself is a lot of fun; challenging, excellent layout and great views. It's usually in great shape and plays really well in the summer months. The spring is challenging if there has been substantial rainfall because there seems to be lots of drainage issues and it gets super soft. This year we had a solid stretch of warm weather in May so the course is in good shape (minus a handful of tee boxes that need some love). The staff are pretty accommodating and are for the most part, friendly. Never any issues. The one major downfall of this course is the time management and marshalling. They seem to allow singles to book solo, even though groups teeing off behind or in front have one, two or even three. Grouping here is horrific and slows play down drastically. There is also a certain type of "crowd" who sport umbrellas and play 4 balls at a time which also contributes to a slow pace. A great price for a round, especially twilight, if you have the patience for the possibility of a 5 hour round.

Randy Vancouver

Course in good shape. Sanded greens but not an issue. Issue is slow play ...

Doug Forsyth

No Marshall on the course slow groups not letting faster groups play through. No water stations on the course but beverage cart was out.

Don C Miller

Vince Bacon

A beautiful course but always overbooked. I often choose other courses because I spend half my time waiting for the two groups in front of me. Either it needs to be fewer parties or more strictly managed, otherwise it would be a 4 or 5 star from me

R Do

Limited power carts lmao ghetto

Peter Daviduk

The tee boxes need work. Fairways and greens were in GREAT shape. Sand in the traps unlike some courses I've played recently; Carnoustie. The walk back to the parking lot after putting out 18 is killer for us "old guys."

Really fun golf course with great staff and stunning views. Some long par 3's but some other holes that are gettable. Greens were true and the fairways were great. Just wish the tee boxes were in better conditions, some were in really rough shape. Looking forward to playing there again.

We played yesterday, well sort of It was so bad , by far the worst conditions we’ve ever seen anywhere . Mud and water everywhere, absolutely ridiculous Two friends took a cart which they charge $50, another rip off I wouldn’t play it for free

Rob Rounthwaite

Course is still a little wet and we were getting mud balls. June 21. Pace was alright but not great. We were a twosome with a twosome and a threesome in front. Took 4 hours and 10mins. To people saying walkers are slow they need to get there heads checked. Both groups in front were in carts and we were waiting on every tee. Carts were also allowed to drive anywhere. Greens were in excellent shape. Overall pretty good but the course could do with some improved drainage.

Evan Mielitz

The course was a lot of fun! We went a couple days after some rain, so some parts of the course were very wet and flooded, and some trees boxes need some TLC, but we had a great time! Beautiful course and most of it is in terrific shape!

(Translated) Huge trees, shaded by the trees, the fairway is a little narrow, it is quite difficult, naturally there is not much artificial modification, the cost of hitting is low, it is reasonable and cost-effective to hit the ball often... It has always been difficult to understand that in the developed areas in Europe and the United States, labor is expensive and the prices are high, but the cost of playing a round of golf on a general golf course (especially during off-peak hours) is much cheaper than Taiwan or mainland China. Even the price is so cheap that you can’t imagine it (the green fee plus electric golf carts are 41CAD per person in the afternoon on weekdays). Relatively speaking, labor and prices in Taiwan or China are cheaper than those in Europe and America, but why are they in Taiwan or China? The price of a ball at every turn is 100 or 200 or even 300 dollars? It's really puzzling...

Great walking golf course. Well kept fairways and greens. Views from hole #5 and #10 are definitely worth a trip.

They need to spend some money fixing the tee boxes and to put some decent sand into the bunkers.

Kevin Guo

Mr. Cole Gallant

Very nice, it's quite wet and cool! Do recommend!!

Dustin Gilding

Gravel and dirt bunkers, sand for tee boxes, and patchy grass on greens, not to mention lack of adequate drainage. Instead of fixing these minor agronomy issues, management decided the most pressing task was to spend hundreds of thousands on paving the cart paths. Easily one of the worst courses in the Fraser Valley.

Kas Brooks

Really nice golf course, staff work extremely hard in early morning shifts to make sure the course is well maintained. Bar isn’t always open, but nice when it is. Slightly challenging course at a reasonable price.

5stitch

I don't know why all of the negative reviews. These people must have unreal expectations. My first visit to the course last night. It is still early season golf here, and yes there were spots that weren't perfect but I'd say 90-95% was in great shape. The greens were amazing, and we really enjoyed the layout. The two elevated tee boxes were awesome to hit from. Lots of water but not a punishing golf course. I will return for another crack at it.

Andrew Im

Garry Gill

Pros: Very nice layout. Very beautiful from broad point of view. Staff was nice. Cons: Pace of play is a dreadful grind. They space tee-times at 9 mins, and we were backed up as the third group waiting by the 5th hole. 5 hour round. Lacks a driving range, but provides a couple swing boxes by the 1st tee. Even knowing and expecting this before hand did not help once actually experiencing the waits on each hole. Tee boxes were poor shape... but we saw many holes under renovation - so expect this issue to be vastly improved as the season goes on. So.. I rather enjoyed the holes a lot once able to play. - would be one of my local favorites for it's layout which was great. But will not be returning for how grinding the experience was. Let me know when they bite the bullet and decide to spread em out - I would be back in a heart beat... but not expecting that to happen. (May 2nd, 1:42 group.. walked off around 6:30-45)

Ryan Wong

I've played this course many times over the past 4 years .. this year, I'm very disappointed with how the course condition is . Tee boxes are rough , sand bunkers are hard packed/unplayable and some greens are in rough shape as well . For what it cost to play , I do hope the course gets a revamp for next season .

Brandon Perry

Below average course and way overpriced. Terrible tee boxes. Fairways are sad.

Kerry Liu

Was member last year, love this course, but this year they are always overbooked, sometimes 3-4 groups are stuck at T5. And recently they don’t allow kids to walk or ride cart with adult. I am a single father, I cannot play without my child, will never come back to Belmont

Wynn Corboy

I have to say it is one of the most terrible condition courses I’ve played this year. Although the greens were a seven out of ten the rest of the course was a four out of ten. Bare patches in the fairways and the bunkers either no sand hardly or muddy in some. I am a senior and need to take a power cart. They charged $28:00 per person. ($56:00) a cart. Highway robbery. That’s just gauging. Won’t be back.

Angelo Roh

It was a very hot, very slow day.

vincent yi

Good quality.

george ho

Not a good experience but thanks to management staffs.

Brett Lamb

I actually can't believe this course is part of the WGG..I play Hazelmere regularly, and it's in outstanding condition.. Belmont is in the worst condition I've ever seen it in..From the terrible tee boxes, poorly maintained sand traps ( some like concrete), fairways are only so,so, and some are so chewed up close to the greens, that they resemble the tee boxes..In my opinion, $35 at the most! And I just came of a 5 hour round, on a Thursday afternoon, which should never be more than 4 hours!! I won't be back, nor will I recommend it..

Dave Empey

Beautiful course, not the best condition today though and seemingly very understaffed which led to some pace issues.

Naythan Lange

One of the worst customer experiences I've ever had at the pro-shop. Whoever the belligerent, arrogant, smug-faced cashier was that tried to manipulate our group from a 'first come first serve' cart rental, to a 'sorry those carts are reserved', learn some customer service etiquette. This used to be my go-to course, but if this group keeps hiring these 'power-hungry gate-keepers' that smothers their personal issues towards customers, it'll be the last time I book here. Great course, terrible customer service. Edit for management: Tee time was at 4:09pm for employment tracking.

Troy Litowsky

Made a mistake in my booking. Wanted 3 and apparently booked for 2 only. Asked if there was anything they could do when all 3 of us showed up and an instant, "all booked up, you can wait another hour but you are booked with another two-some".. I head to the tee box, leave 1 person behind of course, to hook up with the other two golfers and what do ya know, a two-some just tee'd off right in front of me... she knew this long before I got to the 1st tee and could have easily got the 2, two-some's to hook up in front of us and then we would be next with 3 golfers. Brutal effort/lack thereof. The only reason I gave the 2 stars is because the course was in decent shape and the price was ok.

I played twilight Tuesday August 29th. Green fee was reasonable. However the cart charge ($20 a head) was completely unreasonable. Cart paths are so bumpy with potholes, if you didn't have a back problem before you certainly did after. There is no sand in the bunkers. One of the tee boxes you have to climb up railway ties, which are rotted out. It's a lawsuit waiting to happen. I certainly will never play there again..

Just played this course yesterday for the first time in a long time , had a great time . The course was in solid shape and i love the lay out, very fun. The two elevated tee shots are a delight , the negative reviews on here miss the mark , i would recommend this course ????

$55 ++ for a cart. Very little sand in the bunkers. Tee boxes weren’t flat. $97 for the round!

Erik Nelson

Had a very enjoyable round on a well designed well maintained golf course. Pro shop staff were friendly as was the starter/ Marshall. Course was in pretty primo condition. The greens, although not the speediest, were very puttable(even though I didn't make many today). The price was appropriate for the course quality. New to the area and might look into a membership.

First time playing the course today. Came up from the states looking for a good time with friends. Experience was awful. Marshall/Starter is extremely rude, and on the verge of hostile. Felt extremely rushed the entire round, and there are two somes playing behind 3 somes/4 somes all over the course, and extremely overbooked. Course wasn’t in great shape, soggy, clumps of grass left everywhere after it was mowed, and cart paths are atrocious. Will be sticking to ledgeview and sandpiper from now on.

garthvadr

Nice course but overbooked on the weekends. There are times where there is a back log in front of you but the Marshall still insists that there is room to play. Very, very hurried which isn't much fun. Otherwise it is beautiful course with well maintained greens and stunning mountain views!

Jeff B.

The course was in pretty nice shape. We played in just over four hours, for $50, late on a Monday morning. Not bad. The layout here is always challenging.

Steve G

Nice course for the price. Great views. Tee boxes a bit beat up. Very rude course marshal. No wonder you can get last minute tee times on Sunday in prime time. On hole 2 we parked our carts in what looked like a cart turn around. Didn't see the sign that said no carts beyond here. I apologized and then was very rudely told the sign is very clear and easy to see. It wasn't. If it was I wouldn't have went up there. after looking, the sign looks like it's referring to the number 1 green. People make mistakes. You can be nice about it. Old man who hates his life clearly. Has no business in a customer relations job. Also bunkers are pretty much concrete. Need to fluff them up to hit out of them.

Jeff Nahanee

To many ballmarks on every green To enjoy the game this course is well know for this problem an refuses to address the issuse play some where else

Marcus Acaster

Overpriced and under-maintained. Incredibly slow round as well. There were 6 groups waiting to tee off at the 6th hole, maybe hire a marshal or two? The only thing impressive about the course is that they actually manage to fill the tee sheet with how poor the course is maintained.

Too much mud! Around the greens was the worst that I've ever seen. Most of the problems are the patrons who don't respect the golf course! Not repairing ball marks and on the 17th green they are stupid enough to walk across the green with their golf carts.. "THE GREENS ARE NOT THE CART PATH"! sorry I won't be coming back! ???? Ceaya!!

Matthew McNamara

In pretty good shape considering our weather over the last month. Actually moist in some areas. Greens are quick. Great views.

Alex Pereira

Played here Saturday afternoon. Reviews here are spot on, this course is overbooked. According to the starter they were "on time" and running at 8-min intervals. Clearly that's not enough as we spent ~5 mins waiting at each of the first 4 holes. Once we got to hole 5 we easily waiting 20-25 mins as there were 3 groups backed up; 1 on the tee, another one waiting for them, and then us (see photo). Thankfully the rest of the round ran fine once the groups were sufficiently spaced out. Fix this very simple issue and this would be a 4-star course in my mind.

Belmont could be a really nice course if they maintained the course properly. Lots of bare patches everywhere and the sand traps have a thin layer of sand over hard pack. Even the greens have bald patches. The Par 3s are too long for most golfers. Move the tee boxes in. The pace of play is slow. We waited on every hole. Have to think twice about returning to this course.

Ron Cooper

Steve Roth

Great to see that they are putting effort into improving drainage, cart paths, general greens keeping, etc. The Negative: PACE OF PLAY! Played this course yesterday, and it took 3 hours just to finish the front 9 alone. We ran out of time and were unable to finish the back. We waited on all but 2 tee boxes, including a full 30 minute wait at hole number 5, and a 15-20 minute wait at hole number 10. It's a short course, and with the layout/footprint they have to work with, it unfortunately promotes back up, but there is no reason to have tee times spaced out at 8-9 minutes apart at this course other than to try to make a buck. Especially during COVID times. There were 16 people waiting at the 5th tee. I expect an afternoon round to take longer, but this was unacceptable. Tee'd off after 3pm, but played Northview Ridge at the exact same time the prior week. Was unable to finish this second tier golf course, but was easily able to finish the full round in at Northview (former PGA course) at the same cost. ($58 vs $59, twilight rates) This course used to be an attractive economic option, but no longer as prices have inflated substantially over the past 3-4 years.

I have been playing golf for 20 years in courses all over the world and I have never been treated so poorly by a marshal. My group was catching up and falling behind all day. We turned the 9 and were bumper to bumper for a few holes. The lead group got away from us for a few holes and we were quite literally threatened by the marshal to either pick up our balls and skip the hole or be kicked off the course. I couldn't believe it. Never will I EVER play here again.

Tyler

Course was extremely overbooked causing us to only play 14 holes in 4.5 hours. Paid for power cart specifically for GPS and yardage and the screen didn't even turn on. Tee off Marshall was rude and just shrugged his shoulders at the fact GPS didn't work. Wouldn't recommend to people who want a good overall experience.

Rich Masters

After reading the reviews I was hesitant to play, but what a pleasant surprise. The greens are great, the fairways are o.k and the tee boxes aren't bad considering the weather we have had recently. There's one bunker thats "hard as a rock" but at 260 yards from the green, it's perfect. All of the other bunkers were great. The pace of play was better than expected. Shot 1 over...got beat on 18.

Rod Dowhaniuk

Course in great shape for October

The course is way overbooked. Sat waiting behind 2 groups at every tee box, with another two behind us waiting. 3.5 hours in and we only made it to hole 11 before it got too dark and had to turn around. No marshal to be seen on the course to speed things up, and no answer at the club house when calling. Awful experience

I've played this course a number of times. It's good when it's dry but TERRIBLE when it's wet. It's like playing In a swamp and they still are charging summer rates $70 for a course that fails the price tag. Standing water on the greens, pins in standing water, traps like duck ponds and not one greens person to be seen. At that price they should be out there clearing the greens of water at least. Tee off boxes a kind of thrashed. I'm generally not impressed with the state of the golf course and would not recommend play at this time of year.

Kenny McMorran

Bad pace of play, 5+ hours to play is not fun

Cliff Clarkson

Have played there for years course is usually in good shape.... but can't believe how disrespectful the starter on the first hole was ..we were told we would be next and had lots of time only to have him say that you are next and to hurry up because the group that was in front of us was not ready .and makes it seem as it is are problem he is not organized.. We talked to other players throughout the day only to hear other people say the same thing about the starter.....to show up thinking that you are going to have a great day with friends on a course you enjoy playing only to have it start with a starter with a bad attitude and to be very rude...it would be nice to have shown up and feel like they are happy you have chosen to play there..so sad that a guy like this has made it were me and my group will never play this course again !!!! left such a bad taste for us ...please talk to your starters and remind them that people have chosen to play there as there choice and are there for a great day
