You may have noticed that it has an average rating is very high, and it is founded on a very large number of feddbacks, so we can be quite sure that the score is very accurate. If there are many people who bothered to evaluate when they are happy with the service, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to put scores when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Golf corresponds to the category of Golf club.
This course is one of my 2 or 3 favourites in the GTA as far as the layout goes. Tough but fair track. Would be a 6 star review if I could give it except for the fact that driving range experience is one of the worst around. You pay $10 for a small bucket of balls that barely fills the small bucket halfway with practice balls that are almost all split or cracked. I play in the same foursome every week and every course we play that has a range we make sure we are early to hit some balls. Not this one anymore. It's really too bad. The golf course itself is amazing and one of the few where playing whites (6100yds) vs blues (6600yds) actually makes a difference. Please improve the range experience.
DAVE the Golf pro is very friendly and informative to newcomers. We enjoyed our 1st visit to DRAGONSFIRE , March 16 2018.????
Nice day at Dragons Fire. Greens were slow since they had been aerated but overall a good time.
Great course layout and very nice staff. Green is well maintained and fast. Best golf course in Burlington area.
Can be enjoyed by both seasoned and intermediate players, novice players may have difficulty, but it never hurts to try.
Nice bunkers
Tough course in great condition! Pick the right tees for your ability, not a course to let your ego get the best of you!
A great track, ruined by a 5 hour round. This Club insists on jamming the course with 8 minute tee intervals. Shameful! Our group of 12 golfers will not play here again until this situation is changed. How about 10 minutes, Mr. DeCunha?
Had a lot of fun !!! Friendly staff!!!
Excellent layout. What's missing is hole description by way of signage at each hole.
So nice place.for golf.
Great course will only get better with time
A golfers course. Pure golf!
Very challenging track... Course was in excellent condition today. It's perfect for long hitters. Newbies will find it frustrating... Oddly, there's little in the way of food and drink available at the clubhouse. Just a food truck - not one of those hipster ones with duck tacos, but a regular hot dog and fries truck. Might want to play, and lunch elsewhere. Good for walkers... pretty flat. But its a long hot walk - bring lots of water.
Fairways are in good shape. Greens were a little beat up. But other than that it was a great round. Kudos to the staff.
Fantastic course. Great condition
Great golf course
Well played course.. long hold ..good look to the greens.....
Great golf course! It had just rained 70mm the night before, so the course was a little wet. Although there were no puddles. Excellent course overall!
Love this course! Can't wait to get back out there. Ps- their food truck and chef is INSANELY delicious!! Said he gets ingredients from farms around and it tastes like it!!
Best public golf course in the area. Great greens, awesome layout. Fairways are a little longer than what you would expect at a private club, but still a 5/5 golf course.

Very well maintained course. Greens are fast and immaculate. Really enjoyed it
Premium price for a course that hanst been well maintained past 2 years
A nice course in good shape. Challenging but fair. Greens rolled true and fast
Course was in pretty good condition considering the time of year and lack of rain. Greens were pretty slow but are normally quick.
Finally played this course after living in the area for 9 years. I was pleasantly surprised as this is a great track. Every hole is separated by trees so it is very peaceful and easy to focus. The greens were in a great shape and the staff were great. Will be joining the men's league next year.
Very tight track and is far too punitive long of the green. Course knowledge is definitely a consideration.
This club used to be a really well kept course. This year it is in terrible shape. I don't know if it had flooding at the beginning of the year or what happened, but it is not playing well right now. I hope it turns around though, because I love the course.
Love! Hole 17 at sunset is spectacular!
Round was >5 hours, but course was in good shape and the holes were creatively designed to have variability between each hole. Course was in good shape, but the driving range could use some TLC. Overall, great value for what you get and I would be happy to come back in the future.
they need more marshalls out on the course..6:15 hrs is way too long...and we skipped a hole
I’ve played here a couple of times since the Covid lockdown. Staff are professional and safe. The carts have plastic dividers so two people can ride together, which I felt comfortable doing. The course was in good shape as usual.
6 hour golf round, only reason I didn't give it 4 stars. Waited on every shot, and hole. Keep golfers moving by playing proper tees and good marshalling
This course should of been a great day for fall golf. However, we were overcharged for an early afternoon round, especially when the tee box and greens were in bad shape. Not to mention, we could not even get a full 18 in. Next time, please make sure your customer service is better. I wouldn't recommend this course to anyone at that price point.
This is a very challenging course! You will love the tree-lined fairways that require precision drives. The course condition is very well maintained.
Great golf course, the layout is well done and challenging. They have a proshop with a patio out front which is very nice, but there is no indoor dining room, and the food comes from a trailer. This isn't really a complaint, just don't expect to get more than burgers and hotdogs.
Great golf course that will challenge even the most seasoned players.
Fun and seems fairly casual.
Fun course
Dont underestimate the Dragon. A great course for the long hitters. Well maintained' worth a try in your golf list!????
Very nice track. Beautiful fairways and awesome greens. Had a great time of it today. Try the sausage at the trailer! It's very tasty.
Challenging track with more bunkers then a battlefield. Fairways and greens are in poor shape most of the time, sub-par by any golfers standards. No club house and dirty outhouse styled toilets. Food is prepared in an old bus style food truck. It’s avoidable. Not really worth the $100+ for 18 holes here... Course has potential and is in a beautiful location in the middle of nowhere. The owner is a cheap old con artist who rips off or doesn’t pay his contractors. Man steps over a dollar to pick up a dime. This reflects both on the course and in the office. Just an honest review from an honest guy.
Great shape, great people working there.
Nice course if you like lots of long holes.
Great course
Really bad course conditions and weird/unpleasant interaction with course staff. Should've brought a swimsuit with me because this course is practically under water.
Shot poorly but very nice course
One of the best courses in the area, tough though. Beautiful design and price is great compared to other tracks around. Friendly staff
6 hour golf round, only reason I didn't give it 4 stars. Waited on every shot, and hole. Keep golfers moving by playing proper tees and good marshalling
Though and beatiful course lined with forest. Good on windy days.
Course is nice but the marshalls might as well go sit in the parking lot and drink. This is the 5th time I have played this course in 2 years. Every time it is the same thing. 5+ hours to play a round. Told the Marshall on the 3rd hole and 11th and nothing. Waited on every shot on every hole. It is a shame as the course is decent but refuse to play 5+ hour rounds when you pay $70+ dollars for a weekday time.
Worked out that the weather was exceptional for a late February round. Granted the course wasn't summer ready but it is February. Good strong layout. I'm anxiously awaiting better weather again. Very enjoyable day. Temperature was about 14 celcious.
Great course, well maintained, make sure you can hit your driver straight .... It's a long course.
Challenging course, typically in good shape. All the staff are consistently friendly and seem genuinely committed to the enjoyment of all golfers. From the welcome at the pro shop, to the food & beverage staff, to the on-course marshals - you know your business is welcomed and appreciated.
Challenging golf course
Golfed with friends here only to find that the front 9 holes were closed for maintenance. It's an independent course located just off Highway 6 north of Waterdown. There is no clubhouse here, just a shop and a small food shack. The course is definitely well maintained, but prices are rather steep. $59 for 18 holes plus another $15 if you want to ride, and this is assuming you register for their free loyalty program. (That's $83.62 after tax) That's just too much. They also mention on their website that they have " top-of-the-line Club Car Champion carts." True, but they are pretty worn. (See picture below) I would definitely golf here again if I could get a deal on GolfNow, but if you're paying full-price, I would play elsewhere!
Like the course but like all courses this year they are gouging, mainly on carts.... Leaves a bad impression
I've played here about 15 times over the past 3 years. It has potential but they need to fix their pace of play problem. It is consistently very slow. We quit today after 14 holes and 4 hrs 10 min on the course (we were heading for a 5 1/2 hr round). The sign near the first tee says the course should play 4 hr 20 min. I'll be avoiding this place until I hear they've improved pace of play.
A Hidden Gem! Very very impressive on this course. Long, challenging, well maintained and people here are very friendly as well as the price! TWO THUMBS-UP!
Great golf course
Dragon Fire is a very good golf course; nice layout, excellent condition and excellent staff.
Loved the course layout! Conditions are great
Beautiful course! Was paired up with a really nice couple! Highly recommend this course!
Nice course and very friendly staff. Enjoyed the round.
The course layout is really nice, all the holes are interesting, greens are interesting, marshals and cart staff are all friendly and welcoming. This place has so much potential. But the course is in very rough shape: tee-boxes are totally torn up, the fairways are shredded, and the greens are full of ball marks. That's somewhat on the audience, but other courses manage to make people do it, why can't management get it done here? And it's been like that in May, in June, and in August, so it's not like it's because we're at the end of an intense season - this is perpetual neglect. Also, I had to pay full price for my <12 yo. I understand that this is a business, that I have the money, and that tee times are hard to come by, but come on. Take it together: the management takes no care of the course and doesn't want to support juniors - they are only in it for the money. Frankly, I like to hang out where people love the game, and that seems to be elsewhere. I really don't like leaving negative reviews, but this has to be said.
I love coming here, it feels like a home / member course... everyone is friendly, pro shop, starter, player assistants on the course and the drink cart team, especially Jen. The layout is fair, playable from many different tee decks, this track is always in immaculate condition.
Love this course! Usually in great shape. Lots of variation.
Terrible customer service. Rude. They had an offer online 2-1. We booked a tee time based on the offer. Went back the next day to get the coupon and it was pulled down. I spoke to someone at the pro shop and they basically said that’s too bad. There’s no offer, regardless if you booked it when it was offered. Poor customer service. Plus, last time I played it (2018), 1/2 of the course was ground-under-repair lies. Pass.
Loved golfing here with my hubby and another couple. It was a challenging course, but the course is in great shape. The staff were amazing too. It's only 20-25 minutes from different areas in the GTA. Coming from Milton, it was 20 minutes. Will definitely be coming back to slay the dragon again!
Great!
Played the course just recently after not playing it for about 1 year. Always enjoyed the layout, but this time something was different. What seemed to be constant gun fire for the total length of the 5 hour round. I mean, constant gun fire. They must be a Gun Club in close proximity to the course. On top of this, we heard two freight trains come through blaring their horns. The noise distraction was not conducive to playing a relaxing round of golf. Conditions also have seemed to go a bit south. Most staff were friendly and did their best to make the day enjoyable, expect for this pesky marshal that seemed to crop up on every hole to see where my twosome was. We were more than keeping up pace, and just found it odd, that he would creep up and watch. Unfortunately, I won't be back ever. Its just not worth the drive (Caledonia) or the price point to make be a committed customer.
Nice
I really enjoy the design of the course. The greens are usually in decent shape.
Staff were super nice, hole designs were nice, but the conditions in general were not great when we went. The tee boxes have probably seen better days, and the greens didn’t seem to be too well kept.
From start to finish this was a great experience. Staff made us feel like we were in a normal world without the risks, halfway staff very pleasant with great personality and fun to banter with. Full 5 star outing
Great track. Perfect condition. Greens are amazing.
Great course. Not very forgiving but mostly par 4 and 5s.
I think they over book this course. Waiting on every tee box for 18 holes is ridiculous. I can't believe they charge a 100$ for this place. 2 stars for the challenge, that's about it.....starts of with a short par 4 then to a par 3 which is not a good design and that's where everyone gets held up. Better courses in the vicinity that are affordable.
Excellent layout. What's missing is hole description by way of signage at each hole.
Really bad course conditions and weird/unpleasant interaction with course staff. Should've brought a swimsuit with me because this course is practically under water.
You get a real golf course at fair price. It's a fair track, great greens — just keep it on the fairways or you'll be in the 90s real quick
The course was in fantastic shape for early in the spring. I played two days in a row with cart path only so carted the first day and walked the second. course has a very nice layout and looking forward to playing it in Midsomer conditions.
4 hour round pace of play was great . Greens were slower than expected but true. Some tee boxes need work and fairways can use some love to make it a real top level course played from the blues and it is a good test. Be straight and stay below the hole and you can score well. Starter was nice beers were good too and not over priced . I would play again. Good value for the price
Good location but mosquitoes chewed my cheeks
Nice long course, but a bit pricier than expected. Pleasant and attentive staff.
Real fun track. Lots of challenging looks and interesting layouts. Course staff really nice. Love the dragon/red theme throughout. Don't expect a big clubhouse but excellent patio!
We held our Oakville Lions Club Annual Golf Tournament here yesterday. Great golf course for a tournament
I will not be returning this season. This course has been heavily impacted by COVID-19 due to lack of staff and course maintenance. They are proudly pumping people through with an average of 350 per day according to the first tee starter. It shows as the course is in terrible condition and it appears as if they are not watering the course at all. The tee boxes were the worst I've even seen anywhere, and I understand closures and repairs, but even the playable ones were brutal. Majority of the fairways look like they haven't been watered this year! The driving range mats look like they were left out all winter and they are the only option as the tee deck is the length of rough. Very sad to see this course in this condition as it has been one of my favourite courses to play and always in immaculate condition. Based on what I saw yesterday, there is no way they will be able to turn the condition of the course around given the hotter months ahead. The highlight to the day was the new gas powered cart I was in. My playing partner however had one of the old ones and it was on its last legs to say the least. Book with caution or accept they are churning people through to make up for lost income from COVID-19 delays.
Course was in great shape. Greens rolling very nice. Unfortunately pace of play was an issue (with a 7am tee time), 8 minute intervals are just too aggressive when the tee sheet is 100% full.
Very nice course. Well maintained.
Tough course, very tight fairways, gotta know ur clubs.
Very nice driving range, really nice bunkers, and solid fairways.
For November 24 the course was in excellent condition
Overpriced. Not sure how over $80 plus tax is justified. No clubhouse. Expensive food and drinks. Golf cart brake didn't work and the club rain cover was broken. Lots of other courses in the area for less money.
Good track. Helpful staff.
Good condition reasonable pricing @ $58 plus cart
Great visit as always
Course is in great shape this year! First time I have played it, but will return for sure! Challenging track. Keep it in the fairway!
Probably one of the best courses I’ve played. I usually play a round or two a year here. It is pricey compared to other courses I’ve played but you definitely get a better course and better staff experience. I almost got a hole in one today. ☺️☺️☺️

Great course, excellent staff
Absolute beautiful course. Good range, putting green and chipping green with Bunker.
Great challenging course
A well maintained golf course just a little pricey.
For a premium priced club, a little disappointing.. The fairways looked like rough and the greens were recently aerated and sanded with no warming or discount. $62 to walk in the fall. $11 for a pull cart ?? Not sure I'll be back anytime soon.
What a peach, fast semi firm greens. Great bunkers. Well manicured. Only issue we had was we had 2 groups of 4 in front of us that were slow and the Marshall told us to speed up as we waited for them.
Course is in great shape, great staff, greens are solid and fast.
Overpriced and the staff are rude. I walked in without a tee time and within 2 minutes of paying for 18 holes and asking if they were planning to keep the course open because of the rain ... the same guy who cashed me out drove out in a cart and closed the course completely. When I asked for a refund 10 min after paying (2 hours before the tee time and my golf clubs still in the car) he said no, and that I could only get a rain check. Nice...
The course was in good condition. Very windy today. I rated the overall a 3 star because the greens fees with cart was overpriced for this time of year... 94 dollars seems excessive..
This rating i getting 2-stars only because the chicken club sandwich was unreal. What wasn't unreal was the marshal rummaging through my cooling looking for beer because "it's illegal to bring beer to a golf course". 35+ degrees out and this guy doesn't believe i brought a cooler for water.....so much for social distancing with this grumpy marshal, putting his hands in my cooler. To top it off our cart had died and he didn't seem to care about that. Pro Tip: Just get the Chicken Club
This course is tucked away in back-roads of Carlisle with a very nice layout, decent shape and good mix of challenging holes. The par 5s are long but not gimmes and par 3s seem easy but are quite challenging. The clubhouse is very small with a trailer food truck and a shack for a bar but it does the trick. I was not prepared to listen to the nearby gun range shots through the round... so if you get easily distracted on the course or you need total quite when playing, this course may not be for you. Scheduling is a bit messy and pairings get mixed up. I can see why some golfers have issues with service as its not on point. The course is a little pricey for the total package....But great course and good round of golf.

Great spot to golf for a great price.
Really good customer service. Good timespend
Beautiful and well-maintained course with a great design. Helpful and funny staff, and tasty burgers at the halfway house. Say hi to the black swans as you play!
Beautiful course
Good course, challenging greens, although a little reliant on outright length ...well-maintained, well-priced... facilities however are poor ...minimal pro shop, makeshift washrooms and food services
played last week. course was meh, greens beat up....but defiantly not $60+tax worth, if it was good then i would have no prob paying it. Ask girl at counter if the rates drop for end of season, she said their fall rates haven't started yet...what?? Hello its almost end of Nov., winter season is around the corner. Just trying to squeeze every cent i guess.
Unless playing the back Tees, the course isn't very long. Most of the Par 4s were just over 300yrds. It is a nice course aesthetically, the carts are newer, the range is maintained, but personally don't feel this course is worth $100 ( round with cart + range). Overall the pace of play and how the course looks/ plays, i give 4 stars, but the cost and yardage is give 2 stars. If you are ok with $100, this is a beautiful course with great pace (went end of season) then this is for you. If youre looking for longer holes (380-450 yrd par 4s) this isnt it. Edit - although the course replied to my original review, it doesn't discount the review. As mentioned, the course is aesthetically pleasing and there are a lot of positives. Still doesn't justify the $100 cost (weekend rate + cart and range) even if it's what other courses charge in the area.. no change to the star rating.
Beautiful country golf course.
Challenging course; in great shape so early in the season.
A great track, a hidden gem that you should definitely play. Long and challenging..course is in very good shape
Really liked this course. It was a bit on the pricey side, but we felt the money was well spent. Very well taken care of course and friendly staff. Greens were very fast, but the Marshall warned us if that before we teed off.
Great value for such a layout.. Not the hardest terrain to walk but brutally long because between greens to tees is a stretch
Course was nice, but to pay 110 dollars for a Monday with a small bucket of balls is expensive
Extremely disappointed in the condition of the course. On some holes I couldn't even tell the difference between the rough and fairway. also seems like there are iron divots on a couple of greens and no grounds crews have attempted to fix them. on top of that the marshal, Andy may have been the most unpleasant marshal i've ever encountered. Oh and we had 3 carts die and one was driven out to us with no brakes.
Golfed here today for the first time with my husband and 2 friends. We had a great time. Course is beautiful and well kept. Course is well planned out and enjoyable to play. Some challenging holes but hey! That’s golf lol. Shout out to the kitchen. Food is great. Probably the best burger I have had at a golf course and very impressed with toppings and sauces available. Also very easy to pre order at the turn. Fantastic service!! Thanks for a great day Drangon’s Fire ????️♀️????️
126 slope rating may be a couple of notches low. Greens in great condition but could be made a tad faster.
I’ve played here 4 times now in 2020 but all of the rounds have been on weekdays so I can’t speak about how it is on the busier weekend days. This course is very well kept, excellent customer service and haven’t had a round exceed 4 hours and 15 minutes yet in total time. A couple of very long Par 5s can make for a long day if you aren’t playing well!
Good
Beautiful, picturesque course. Putting green, chipping green, sand trap, and driving range right beside the first tea which are perfect to warm up on. Each hole looks isolated from the last. Challenging course that is punishing to slices and hooks - bring a few sleeves of balls if you're not hitting it straight most of the time!
Played June 12h. Course was dry and patchy, the greens were terrible. Worse of all, the course was clearly overbooked since it took us almost 5 hours and we finished the 17th in the dark. On most tees, there were 3 groups waiting. Marshall could not have cared any less when we mentioned to him that were waiting 15 to 20 minutes to tee off on each hole. This course used to be a gem and always in great condition. These days not worth the money or the time.
Nice course layout but the conditions were terrible. We were charged $100 each to play on greens that were just aerated, the tee boxes were all torn up, and the fairways were rough. I was also charged an extra $160 because 2 friends out of our 8 golfers (2 foursomes) had to bail last minute. Never seen that before in my life. I've enjoyed this course in the past but I won't be going back.
The club Pro is great. Always love playing here
Beautiful course over priced
Tee times were too close backed up 2 groups infront of us. That being said great course challenging jad a great time
Echoing another review, this is a very solidly laid out course with great variety. Unfortunately, conditions are not the greatest, and looks like another victim of negligent ownership and maintenance. For the price of $100 (including cart), there are many more options which are equally well laid out, but properly maintained.
Course is nice, the staff is friendly, but the pace of play is bad. 7:38 tee time with carts took 5 hours. Waiting on every shot is just frustrating
Great course. A must-try.
Well groomed. Nice layout. Friendly staff.
Worst customer service, overbooked 6 hour round, greedy course!
Great coarse but 8 min spacing too crowded, slow play.
Awesome course very open. Watch for the fox in the parking lot though.
Nice golf course and driving range No clubhouse.
Decent place. good people.
We have become regular on this golf course this year (every other week) and every time we book through their website which apparently is golf now. We usually play as a 4somes and one Saturday one of our guys was sick and couldnt show. We told pro shop and they said nothing. A month later we got a full fee charged on our card through golf now. I called golf now and golf now called them to waive but they refused. They still got $200 from us when 3/4 showed up and that wont be enough for them. This is really bad customer service. No one does that in Hamilton. It would have been better if the pro shop told us that there will be a charge than we found out from golf now.. but either way this is bad customer service and you guess what we will not be back. They can keep $60 for losing a regular 4some.
Like the lay out. Nice staff. Found the greens slow and full of ball marks.
This course is one of my favourites. But stay away right now. Full price and in horrific condition.
Dragon Fire offers a variety of tee decks for players of all caliber. There are many challenging holes out here for everyone. The greens are very difficult with many levels, so not an easy putt on the course exists. The staff is excellent and they treat everyone very well. The past few times I've played there I've had issues with their carts. Make sure to get a gas cart versus electric (gold wheels). You'll thank me later.

Great golf course lots of trapes
Great golf course lots of trapes
Considering the price you would expect the greens and tee blocks to be in better shape.
A nice, fair, but challenging course. Reasonable rates and can generally find good tee times. I love playing this course!
Tough but really nice. Great staff.
A good and enjoyable course
Great experience
Challenging track in great shape!!
The staff was friendly and helpful. It was a great Challenging course. It was in rough shape, it is the Fall (Oct 9th) and I understand that. They just should not be charging full price ($100) if the cource is in rough shape.
Great track but slow greens.
Not a bad course, still have issues with ball marks on most greens ! Friendly staff..
Love this course and can't get enough of it. Come enjoy this gem in Hamilton.
Fantastic course and staff. My favorite track to golf and would recommend it to all golfers. Scenic and challenging but still fair. Everyone I have recommended the course to has gone back numerous times and are full of praise. Golfed there on Saturday and can't wait to go back
Hard to find a more private course. Very friendly staff and great food. I wish I lived closer to this place.
Very good one
Good time golfing on Saturday. The course is in great shape, staff are friendly and helpful and the new gas carts were a pleasure to drive. The greens are large, challenging and fun to play. Lots of golfers on the course but pace of play was good, I love golfing at Dragon's Fire.
They charge to much to play golf.
Course is in terrible shape which is a shame (2020). Signs of poor maintenance everywhere, missing numbers off signs, faded paint & patchy fairways and tee boxes. Used to be such a nice track not sure what happened.
Course was overall in decent condition for a March round. Greens were on point. Bunkers were 50/50. Can tell some had sand replaced while others were not. Tee blocks on the other hand are chewed up in spots and I doubt the course will be able to get them back to peak by peak season but time will tell. Great staff and Marshall’s were active. Unfortunately this did not prevent the groups in front from speeding it up. Very slow round unfortunately. Overall I will likely return and see what this course looks like in peak season depending on price.
Great people, great course, great price
Great course, beer cart, nice menu.
Great layout but unfortunately Lacks some gentle care. Fairways are a little rough but the greens are smooth and roll true.
Love the course.
Terrible experience Booked a 4 some, but 2 of my friends could not make it so it was just 2 of us that went. We then got paired with a random. But once I went home I noticed I got charged for the 2 people who couldn't make it from our 4 some... which is incredibly odd considering this has never happened at another course. I just read a couple other recent reviews and it seems they had the same experience which doesn't surprise me. Also, the course was in surprisingly rough conditions. Tee boxes were an absolute mess. fairways were flooded, some sand bunkers were also flooded with water LOL, leaves all over the green... Honestly I was let down by this course and their unpleasant staff.
Played on fathers say, very disappointed with the condition. Was so dry and hard I developed golfers elbow from hitting the cement fairways.
Beware booking a tee time.... Called a few hours before to say we would not be making it due to very wet conditions. Pro shop says 'thank you for letting us know' and come to an email today that I am being charged full amount for the tee …
I have played here a number of times and experience has been similar: Good course layout but small greens and tee boxes always destroyed by mid season and with 8-minute tee time intervals, pace of play is horrific! But experience last time was worst (and last) I will have here. Booked a foursome directly on Dragons Fire website. Unfortunately, we had two no-shows (one due to family emergency). Two of us joined another pair since, as usual, they were running way behind schedule. Nothing was said at the time. Then, 3 weeks later I get a charge on my Visa from GolfNow for $146.90 even though I never booked through GolfNow. I called them and they told me they run Dragons Fire’s website (apparently anonymously?) and were directed by the course to bill me and I need to take it up with the course. I contacted the course, pleading my case and told them we do everything to avoid no-shows but sometimes it happens - and never in my life had I been billed for this. Also stated that their decision on this would have an impact on whether I would play there again. Person from the course told me that is their policy and they are sticking to it. I empathize with the course and respect the fact they have every right to overcrowd their course, but not even an offer of a couple 2 for 1 coupons??? They charged me the full amount and got my $147.00. And for that, they have lost me, and everyone I know, as a customer in the future. They do know we have choices, right? So book this course at your own risk... you’ll come for the bad conditions and horrid pace... you’ll stay to get billed for no shows!
played today, fairways are in terrible shape....more brown vs green on all fairways. Overbooked..... 5+ hour round and no clubhouse. Do not recomend. Over priced course.
Played this course today with a group of 11 ladies. The pro shop staff were extremely accommodating to our group as everyone was driving in to the course from outside the region and traffic was a nightmare delaying arrivals by an hour+. Every person we had contact with on this course, from pro shop staff, starter, rangers, and cartgirl could not have been more pleasant to all of us. It was a very refreshing experience! Hats off to Dragon's Fire Golf Club a stellar day all around. We loved the course and look forward to next year's round.
Staff friendly, greens very challenging Bunkers sandy good shape considering covid Frist round ever Scored my frist hole in one on the ninth hole Definitely wil be back
Nice course. Great prices. For $100 you can play 2 rounds the same day. A little far to drive but worth it. Glad the weather held up. The 13th hole was a monster but came away with a bogey.
First Timer and had a great day. Great course, wide forgiving fairways. Will be my go to golf club.
great course well maintained
Nice course but far too slow!
The best course around and my personal favourite. Scenic, fun, challenging - everything you want in a course.
Had a lot of fun golfing there today. Really nice course, friendly staff and solid covid precautions are being taken.
A little soggy today, but a very nice course and good safety procedures.
Dragon's Fire is a spectacular golf course that is quite literally a diamond in the rough...I highly recommend that golfers of all levels try Carlisle's best kept secret
Nice course. Greens need more care
Nice track Marshall's kept things moving.
Played here a few days ago. The good: the course is challenging and the greens are tricky. You have to do course managment to score decent here. The staff is friendly. The bad: the course was bone dry and the tee boxes were in bad shape. Pace of play was slow as they pack groups every 8 mins or so. Some of the greens were bumpy with lot of divots. For the price they charge, there are better courses out there.
Best place to golf! If you like a challenge you'll love this place, and the staff is pretty great too!
Hard as a rock fairways and greens
Excellent, the course is in great condition
Course was in great condition. Pace of play was excellent. Challenging course with some tough pin placements. Will be going back again.
Great time out was a Amazon course just for the price think it would be better we always got paired with walkers when we had a cart for me that makes it hard to get in a Grove well wait most times
Great course - very challenging - well kept. Pace was a bit slow but that is expected. Enjoyed playing here this past season
Great course, however there are golfers that ruin it for everyone with slow play. The group in front of us was always at the tee when we came off the previous hole, but there was no one in front of them. They were hitting more than one tee shot each and just didn’t care that they were holding us up. We spoke to the Marshall on the back nine and mentioned it - he was not aware of the slow play nor did he do anything about it - useless!! Won’t return any time soon.
Course is amazing and a great price. The issue is the overbooking. The last 3 rounds I have played has taken at least 5 hours with a cart. They overbook with GolfNow, especially in the afternoon. I would recommend golfing in the morning, or be prepared to play a 5 hour round. Too bad, it is really a spectacular golf course!
Fantastic track true test
Great golf course
Great layout. Immaculate greens. Better hit a straight ball.
Nice course
Played a fall round. Interesting holes and well maintained.
Chalanging and fun
Nice layout. Crazy how a shot can hit the green go through and be a lost ball! Greens ridiculously SLOW!
Got there early and they allowed me to play as a single. Course was in great shape, even though it rained the night before, none of my drives plugged. Green rolling nice even this late in the season.
Tough Greens ????
Disappointed in the condition of the course. Grass seemed non-existant on some of the tee boxes. Lots of divots throughout the fairways. Seems as the course isn't being taken care of this season; perhaps due to Covid19?
Nicely groomed course. Great greens. Well maintained. The course has long holes which brings a new challenge to the game. Sand traps well placed to add to the level of difficulty. This is a great intermediate course. Might be a bit challenging for a beginner and will definitely challenge the more advanced. Had a great time and is easy to walk ( which we did ) or take a cart. Will definitely be back to play the back 9.
Great course, great atmosphere. Very well maintained and definitely challenging. Your going to use all your clubs. Lots of prestine sand bunkers ( which I only found once thankfully). Highly recommend
Great track! Well kept, challenging, lots of interesting holes and a great value.
Course was in good shape, Staff was excellent. Starter was friendly and knowledgeable. Inquired If I had played course before ( I had not) explained the pin placements and the local rules. For the first time in 30 years of golfing I saw staff repairing ball marks on greens during a round of golf. cart staff and bar staff were smiling and friendly overall a great experience. I will go back.
Pre season so not 100% but clearly a top course and preseason rates are decent for the quality of the round
Reasonable green fees. Great course with some challenging holes. Mature trees along fairways provide some shade on the hot days. Excellent value. This is an under-rated golf course in my opinion.
AVOID THIS GOLF COURSE not only was the course underwater and in unacceptable condition, more tee boxes …
Always a Excellent time, and friendly staff
I never do these reviews, but today I was extremely dissapointed at how we were treated on this course. We payed our fees for this "public" course and when we got to the 7th hole the marshal decided we were playing too slow and told us to hurry along. We didn't like that but sometimes this is the case. So as we finish the ninth hole we get two more employees telling us to skip the tenth hole so that everyone else doesn't get inconvenienced. We skipped the tenth and played the rest as we would normally play. It's funny how all of a sudden there were no golfers behind us for the rest of the 8 holes. We even stopped on purpose for about 5 mins to see if anyone would catch up to us. But no one in sight. On the 17th hole my buddy Anton got a hole in one!!!! And all of a sudden we had marshalls coming to us apologizing for earlier. I would rate the service on this course absolutely terrible. Especially the lady at the first tee and the Marshall that drove around. Spent almost $100 to feel like an absolute piece of garbage. Won't play this course again and feel bad that my buddy got a hole in one here because he now had to remember the best play in golf with the worst service in golf. Bitter sweet! I had many more harsh words for this course but this is the mostcivik I can be
Love! Hole 17 at sunset is spectacular!
Great shape and nice staff.
A fantastic layout. The front nine works its way around the outside of the property. The 4th hole has a beautiful downhill approach to the green. The 5th hole is downhill and tight. Then you work your way back up the gradual hill on the 7th and 8th holes. The 15th hole is a tremendously fun hole that's a downhill par 4 which has a drivable green if you willing to take the chance. This course is challenging in that it has 5 par 5's and 4 of them are uphill.
I had an afternoon tee time booked for Father's Day to play with my parents (both in their 60s) upon arrival I was told that not only were there no power carts available (which is understandable given how busy Father's Day can be), but also that there were no pull carts available. I understand resources and equipment are tight dealing with COVID-19, but I had a tee time booked in advance. If you can't accommodate that many golfers, don't book that many. I wasn't interested in having my parents carry their own bags in the extreme heat, so I ended up asking for my money back. I wasn't offered any sort of accommodation for returning at a later date or time, and the course seemed just as happy to not have us play at all. I'll be making up the Father's Day round at another course, there's no shortage of choices within a 10 minute drive of this place.
Nice coarse, difficult, but challenging.
Played my first round there. What a great experience and I will definitely be back. Course was in pretty good shape and the greens had some work to be done but nothing to complain about. Every marshal/grounds keeper were friendly.
Expensive, nice greens though
Excellent course. Very tough but fair. Staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable. I would definitely play again and reccomend to anyone.
Great course and awesome staff
Needs some TLC
Great course. Good price
Nice course, but beware of the frost warnings
Washrooms need some serious attention
Great layout
A challenging course. Most fairways are narrow and the par 5s are long. Lots of trees and it feels like you are playing up north. The greens are excellent but the tee boxes and fairways need some TLC.
Definitely not worth $90. If ur willing to pay that much go somewhere else. Pace was slow. Tee boxes were trash. Greens had burns from nobody fixing their ball marks. cart girls were super nice...that's why it gets 2 stars
Lovely golf course and a pleasure to play. Sufficiently challenging and nice people. Pace of play can be slow but not horribly slow and, let's face it, isn't it slow everywhere at this point? It's cool. Price is decent and it isn't too, too hard to find a tee time without having to play "guess the weather" 10 days in advance.
High season prices for spring conditions. The greens were remarkedly good for this time of year but the rest of the course does not live up to being the areas "premier" course. Although it has gone downhill every year since opening it still worth a visit.
Hidden gem in the Halton Region....perfect for all golfer levels. Each hole is set in its own environment, hidden from the other holes Fabulous shape.... a must to play
One of my favorite tracks in the area, always in good shape and staff is excellent
Great track a bit slow but golf is the only game in town right now!
They space their tee times at 8 minute intervals - absolutely ridiculous. The wait on each tee was awful. Conditioning was also terrible. Will not be playing this course again.
great day course was in great shape for Nov
Busy golf course but we'll managed and good conditions. Interesting layout .
Very challenging, friendly staff, gorgeous views.
Terrible condition, can't believe the cost for the condition of the course. Very disappointing.
Way to expensive.
Great place to play early summer
Great place Great condition
This is a hidden gem of a golf course! My wife and I both love playing here not only because of beautiful course. Also, because everyone who works here is extremely friendly and welcomes you with open arms! Kaylie (one of the managers) is one of the nicest and welcoming people we have met! Dragons Fire is lucky to have her and her husband as assets to the course! I can’t wait to play here again! Thanks guys!
Loved this course...except all of the well placed bunkers! ???? Staff were great and course was well maintained.
Great fun course challenging and flat tee boxes and beautiful greens
Nice course but 100$for a 51/2 hour round in April is a bit much
Course was wet when we played but the greens were in great shape despite people not fixing ball marks. I loved the layout and choice of six tee boxes. Hoping to play it again in drier conditions.
A monstrous golf course. Hard greens and very long holes. I knew it was going to be a long day when the course slogan was "come slay the dragon". My dad and I both battled and lost. Very long even from the whites. Pace of play was the biggest issue, finished only 14 holes in 4 hours before dark. I didn't see any marshalls. Wouldn't recommend walking.
Course isn't taken care of well it was much better when I played it 10 years ago.. Pins are put in stupid locations, just not a great experience...
Sitting on the course now. 4 hours in and on hole 13. No marshall and the group in from of us takes 4 shots each and gives instructions to the rest of the group. No one on the course to keep the flow......will definitely never be back. Don't like 6.5 hour rounds......
Nice track fair & challenging!????
Great condition
Great course, great price!
Message for Simon regarding his fry and hot dog comment. Maybe he should have stopped and read the full menu. I cook there. We have pulled pork, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, poutine, chicken wings, fingers. Also we serve a great breakfast menu. And if you decide to go to a restaurant for the same items it will cost you double. Also when you were there I did a roast beef melt special and a chicken club wrap. And as far as drinks are concerned...Did you miss the 2 massive fridges full of beer coolers, gatorade, iced tea etc.
Awful! 3 hours and 15 minutes to play 10 holes. Called the clubhouse and asked for a marshall to come out and nothing....Please save your money and play somewhere else!!!! Dragons Fire please contact me as I would like a refund
great course, no club house
Challenging
Beautiful, but super unforgiving. Lots of bugs.
Hidden gem...for sure....we really enjoyed the day.. want to play here again ....
Course is in good shape. 5.5 hour round due to 8 min tee time intervals. Staff and beer cart girl were very nice. Range balls could use an upgrade.
Great course and very challenging. Friendly staff, the greens were abit in rough shape but with all the people playing golfing during covid-19 that would be expected.
Have golfed DF for years and actually like the course but will not go back. Played on a Saturday in early June and it was a gong show: tee time was already 15 minutes late at 9:30am, we waited on every tee block and most approach shots, 6 hour round - never again. Worst part, the Marshal gave us a warning on 16, told us we were playing too slow! They were clueless as to the real reason for the hold-up. There are better options for the same $$$.
Great place but a bit pricey.
