I've known about this course for many years, in fact I played there when it first opened as private equity course located in North Burlington I can tell you that it has improved imensely since then 90's The condition of the course this year was excellent despite the lack of rain, they kept the fairways and greens in top shape. The People: You won't find a more friendly or helpful team at any golf course in the GTA. Warren the managing pro keeps the Pro Shop and Golf related services moving smoothly and with service top of mind. The club house and kitchen are Club Link quality and Phylis and her staff do a wonderful job feeding and refreshing the golfers both in the pub and on the course. You will feel like you are a member of a private golf course when you spend time at Crosswinds.

Our wedding at Crosswinds on September 26th 2015 was a perfect day. The grounds and Grand Hall were beautiful, the food was delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The venue is gorgeous as is, but also very versatile. The course is incredible for photos too, and Heather takes you on a tour to pick your favourite spots. On the day of, a staff members drives you to each location to keep everything organized and on schedule. A special thanks to Heather who worked so hard to make the day just right for my wife Meaghan and I and all of our family and friends. She worked with us through every step of the planning to make sure we figured out how to do everything we wanted to do with the venue.

Nice course with a good variety of holes and difficulty. The computerization of the golf carts is terrible. It slows you down automatically for no reason, and sometimes even makes you back up when you are well within the marked cart territory. The carts alone take 1-2 stars away from my rating.

Hit here this morning with 3 friends. 2 of us know how to play and 2 of us are...so-so. Everyone had a great time. Scenery is lovely with views of the escarpment on many holes. Course is really good and well maintained. Staff were friendly and polite. Marshall's were unobtrusive and encouraged a very reasonable pace-of-play. We were not rushed, but ended up doing the course in 4h15m. All around just a lovely experience. All 4 of us are planning to be back again in two weeks.

Great facility, great service, the Marshall even spoke to slow group in front of us to ensure that we were let through (we play fast, threesome finished 18 holes in 2hrs 55 minutes, walking). Great value too

Let me preface this by saying I am not an avid Golfer, however I used to work for a golf course in my youth.This facility is picturesque, with vast open spaces and well kept fairways and greens. On the 6th hole the green was rather bumpy but outside of that it was a great overall experience. The carts have tablets in them that help you keep score, order food and let you know how far away from the hole you are which is great for both experience and novice players. The club house is well appointed and i had a great chicken wrap with lots of carrots in it, which I found delicious! I hope they offer this wrap with grilled chicken for my next visit.

Design of the course is excellent with each hole offering different opportunities and challenges. It was also in pretty good shape for this late in the season (October). The electric cart touch pad and GPS system is a helpful addition to the game once you figure out how to mute it. Pace of play was good and didn't experience the same issues with marshals that others are describing. Even the price is within reason given how nice the course is. The one thing I'll say about the staff (and the owner based on some of their responses that I've read below) is that they know they have a good thing here and they certainly act like it. Although they do it with a smile on their face, I found everyone from the starter to the pro shop staff to be very condescending. The pro shop staff reminded me how 'lucky' I was to even get a tee time there and asked if I was 'sure' I'd like to pay for both golfers in my twosome after telling me it was $210 total (rude). The starter reminded me three times there was zero tolerance for outside alcohol despite me telling him after the first time that I understood and I didn't drink. The electric carts stop you with limited warning if you stray too far from the cart path or too close to the green (a simple sign would work fine). My general advice to ownership - I understand you want to preserve the course and keep it top notch. At the same time, I find people will tend to be better behaved if you treat them like adults and not like little children. Don't be snobby, don't be condescending and don't be controlling. Definitely open to returning to Crosswinds, but after playing at over 30 courses across Ontario this summer, I'd probably elect to return to one where I feel more welcomed.

The course is in great condition. Nice challenging course with opportunities to bounce back even after a bad tee shot. I played my recent round immediately after two days of heavy rain. The course was wet but still in good condition. Pace of play very good.

My friends and I, a group of eight will not be going back to this golf course because of the Marshall accusing us of slow play, It is our frist and last time there. I can say that the 8 of us can golf fairly well and our handicup is 20 and below. It was a very disappointing golf day even though we paid good money to play here. The golf fee to walk was $88.14 and with buggy was $105. And that is a total of $789.14 for the 8 of us and we were treated so badly. If we were to go to a restaurant spending that kind of money I am sure we would have been treated more friendly. I have decided to add in more to this because the owner it seems read this. Message to the owner: You should trained your Marshalls how do to their job before losing your customers. The Marshall should not assume a group is slow playing just by looking at the golf cart computer schedule play time or if they don't see another group of people in front of the current group. There should be other factors involved such as follows: 1. The group is slow because they were walking? 2. There could be faster play ahead because the group in front is with three or lesser. 3. They should look at the slow group tee-off time-sheet to evaluate whether the group is slow and most importantly that the group did start at the time allocated i.e. the starting time could have been delayed and not on schedule. 4. The group in front of the slower group could be riding and long hitters. 5. If the group is slow. How slow is slow and acceptable: 2 mins, 5 mins, 10 mins etc.? 6. The Marshall should gauge the group ability to golf: Is the slow group looking for balls, or they do not know how to golf etc. The above are just my thoughts and feed backs. I have put a single star on my review because I was boiling mad and it had spoiled my friends and I, a supposed to be a happy and pleasant day out. Other than the Marshall encounters, my friends and I don’t find anything wrong with your other staffs or your golf course.

We just love to play at Crosswinds and have chosen it to be our main golf course at which to play. The staff are friendly and excellent. The manager Chris is very responsive. The course is kept in great shape. Lots of interesting holes to be challenged by. Good pace of play at just over 4 hours usually. Good marshalling as well. We highly recommend Crosswinds.

This place is not where you want to do a wedding. First off there’s no shots allowed. 2nd we kept asking for wine, and they kept saying they will grab you a bottle. Then after many times asking they said o you have to go to the bar and grab a glass. Well thx. Why didn't they say that before. Salads are good, meat is well over cooked. Beer from the keg tastes old and flat. Definitely not a place to recommend.

I had my wedding there in August 2015 and it was absolutely perfect!!! Both my husband and I could not have imagined our day going any other way. The wedding ceremony was outside on the grounds and it never felt like we were on a golf course, it was secluded and romantic. Still weeks later, our guests are complimenting us on the food as it was both delicious and the portions were quite generous. The service was professional and diligent, going above and beyond for not only us (the bride and groom) but for all guests. Heather, the wedding coordinator at Crosswinds was amazing! She would call or email me at all hours to ensure that she had every detail exactly how I envisioned my day. She was patient, understanding and resourceful. Many of our married guests commented to us that they were jealous they did not find Crosswinds when they were getting married. Now that I have my wedding photographs back I can honestly say the surrounding areas are absolutely stunning and make for beautiful photos that you will not regret. Overall we had a fantastic experience and would recommend anyone to get married there as well.

Crosswinds is my favourite course in the area. I believe it has a perfect blend of difficulty, beauty in design, and sometimes forgiveness for the occasional bed drive. The staff and club are also excellent and what puts the icing on the cake is the electric cats with gps and touch pad that show your position, distance to the pin and hazards, and even keeps your score.

I had 5 foursomes play there on sept 30th at 12:20pm. Great days golf. When we finished we wanted to have a beer but bar closed. The young fella in the pro shop came to our rescue and was able to sell us beer from the pro shop. 16 of us were able to sit on the patio and continue a fun day for an hour. We’ll be back

Beautiful place! I had an absolutely amazing baby shower at crosswinds last year (2015). Heather went above and beyond that made the whole experience really sweet. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is that they no longer host group events that don’t have a component of golf (other than weddings) else my close friends and I would host all our future events there.

Have wanted to play this course for a while and finally made it out today. It's about a 45 minute drive from downtown Toronto but definitely worth the trip. The course is beautiful, scenic, well maintained, the staff are friendly and there's a good pace of play. Loved the course and can't wait to go back

The handling of T-storms moving through the area is appalling. Once they sound the air horns, they lock the doors of the pro shop and point to a sign pasted to the door....they won't let you in or talk to you. If you want a rain check you'll have to wait until they decide to re-open the pro shop. Not very customer oriented. They don't accept cash unless you go to the pro shop (providing its not locked up during rain) and buy a gift certificate. Which means they do accept cash but want you to over pay. The green fees are on the high side so the overall value and experience is simply not there. I would not go back. The course is a nice layout and in good shape but the overall experience is not there.

Playing Crosswinds was again a treat today. A friend and I always make a point of playing this course at least once a year because it’s such a gorgeous course. It was a bit wet so we were cart path only but that is how this course remains so beautiful- fabulous condition! We’re back next week - hoping for sunshine to enhance the fall colours!

A very well kept course. It was my first time here. I've played close to 20 courses this season and I have to say, Crosswinds was the best so far that I've played at. The staff were friendly, from pro shop to the on field marshall for the day. We were a twosome that were paired with another 2 and although we saw the marshall more than a few times than we'd like to admit as played, I understand that for a Saturday, and after a frost delay, pace has to be kept or else it becomes a major domino effect for the rest of the day. Great touch with keeping carts on cart paths only, as it kept the place in pristine condition for all golfers to enjoy! Most courses you have people driving all over the place which ruins the fairways! It was also nice to be emailed for a potential frost delay ahead of time, like 60 mins before as oppose to most courses that do not communicate this to people with tee times in the mornings when the weather is cooler. Great touch, Crosswinds! It was an enjoyable round of golf and I am hoping I'll get a chance to come back before 2020 season is over!

Absolutely unprofessional and rude. Booked a tee time on Tee ON. Got to the course. Went to pro shop only to meet up with an obvious racist named Ryan. Charged me $110.74 for a buddy that didn’t show as he was called in for work. Will never play here again!!! Oct 12/21- had a phone conversation and several emails communications with the VP Operations & Marketing at Crosswinds. She refunded my $110.74

Horrible experience, I was very disappointed. I got 2 passes for 18 hole golf and wanted to take my boyfriend golfing for his Birthday. I booked our T-Time online and when I was 10 minutes away from the course from A 40 minute drive the man working called to tell me we can only play half the course. When we arrived the manager of the course walked up to us, instead of greeting us he says "what's your problem here" we asked if we could get a little bit of a deal for a power cart since we can't play the full course, he then got very arrogant and rude and says "why don't I just cancel your T-Time, you should have looked into this before you came here". The whole time he was grinning and smiling. I don't normally write reviews but for a beautiful course and a long drive I could not believe how he treated us. If we enjoyed the course we were going to get memberships for next year but because of him I will never go back. He cancelled our T-Time and we left and threw out the tickets we got. Very disappointing. I hope he doesn't treat anyone else like that.

Just recently discovered this course ... I don't live in the area, but it is worth the drive. Nicely laid out, well-maintained, has a private club vibe, pace of play is maintained. The one thing that surprised was the number of untended ball marks on the greens. Probably says more about the golfers than the club. You know when you stick one on the green you likely left a mark, so why not take a couple of seconds to find and fix it?

Golf course is just okay but the Marshal here was very rude and RACEST; you will not enjoy the game if you are not white. Marshal picked our group from 3rd hole and started blaming us for being slow when no other group was behind us waiting. We finished first nines in 1 hour and 45 minutes which was quicker than usual time and 18 in 3.5 hours but he stayed on watching just us the whole time. We did not enjoy the game at all after paying $420 for the group. Our handicap is below 10 and we all are good golfers. I will not recommend this course for you if you are non-white.

I played Crosswinds on April 11th, a Sunday afternoon, with two of my buddies. Crosswinds is my new favourite course. Great layout and in beautiful condition. If you live on the west side of Toronto and don't mind a quick drive, this is the course for you. I have already booked two new tee times for the next two weeks cant wait to go back. Wish I could get a membership!

Absolutely beautiful location for an outdoor wedding. Haven't been to too many outdoor ones mind you but this one was and will be definitely memorable. Fantastic little treed enclave that was private even though outside. The staff were wonderful to be hosted by. Not a single complaint about staff. The appetizers were excellent! And when we moved indoors for the dinner and dance again my wife and I really enjoyed ourselves, the food (!) and enjoyed the ambiance, the building decor and the continued staff excellence. Lots of dead grass in rough and around greens and a majority of the cups were not cut properly with the cup almost to the top of the grass like you were at a mini putt course. When paying a $100 this is just unacceptable. Staff on course were very nice but management since advising them of my poor experience have been nothing but combative and bordering on rude.

Always a decent course. Played last week on a Tuesday at 8:20am and we were charged over $100. On top of that we were also charged $11 for a bucket of balls. Little advice- if you are charging that much for a public course, do not send foursomes off every 6-8mins. Maybe have your staff rake bunkers and have someone in your clubhouse be able to answer a phone as well as check some out at the same time. I have been playing the course for over 10 years also grew up in the area and I promise I will not be back. I also know a large amount of men’s league members that also will not be back for the same reason.

I just had my wedding here on June 17, 2017 and I couldn't imagine having my wedding anywhere else. The food was amazing and the venue is absolutely gorgeous. Heather was my wedding co-ordinator and she went above and beyond my expectations. On day of the wedding it rained 10 minutes before the ceremony and luckily it stopped raining. Heather got her entire staff to dry off the chairs and have the ceremony ready within minutes. She even sewed me in my dress because the back of my dress ended up ripping and at the end of the night she had someone there to help get me out of it. I've experienced Crosswinds as a guest and as a bride and I would pick it every time. My guests were telling me how amazing our venue was for weeks. I highly recommend! I have attached a few photos from our wedding. Ps It’s now 2020 and people still say how great our venue was!

The 2015 golf season will soon come to a close, but it has been another thoroughly enjoyable year at Crosswinds. Yes, the course is great. Yes, the carts with full GPS are great. Yes, the food (both formal in the dining room and informal at the Turn) is great. But what keeps this as my home course season after season are the people. They are greater than great. Everyone helpful, friendly, cheerful. A great team both inside and outside, and even management side. Thanks, Crosswinds. A few weeks left in 2015 to golf I hope, but looking forward to seeing you again in 2016.

We couldn't recommend the venue anymore, from the amazing staff, delicious food and incredibly helpful coordinator Kensie -- we LOVED our big day. Our guests are still raving about the amazing food, and stunning views from the great hall! It was perfect.

I am a wedding coordinator who had the privilege of working a wedding held at Crosswinds yesterday. I cannot day enough positive about it! Kensie Dooley, the venue event coordinator was amazing and went above & beyond in her services - to the point of recreating, printing and framing the seating chart when we discovered an issue with the bride’s chart!! She was easy going, friendly, gracious and led her staff with excellence! The venue is beautiful for a wedding, food was delicious and service was top notch on all accounts. I highly recommend this venue for a wedding!!

I'll admit it. I've taken this track for granted over the years until I played a round here earlier this week. Loved it. Friendly gentleman in the Pro Shop. Very nice clubhouse (even though everything was closed). Beautiful surroundings, especially with the Fall Leaves and Escarpments (Mt. Nemo and Rattlesnake Point) nearby. Challenging enough, but not too hard. Forgiving enough for a stray tee shot and not too punishing, that you can usually salvage a bogey with a good second shot. Very good conditions considering it's late October. I will come back next season with my buddies again. See you in 2020, Crosswinds...fingers crossed for a long season next year!

We had our wedding here Oct. 17, 2015. It was a gorgeous setting with all of the leaves changing. The service was impeccable. The events co-coordinator, Heather, is excellent at her job- she always has great ideas and is very organized. She takes the time to go through the details with you ahead of time, but is also very helpful for set up and any needs on the day of the wedding (she is there for you). We had many compliments on our food, many saying it was the best wedding food they have ever had. We were able have our pictures taken at many different locations throughout the golf course- escorted by a friendly staff member (who tried desperately to keep us warm - it was only 5 deg that day). You can't go wrong with the space of the room either- it is welcoming and beautiful. This location truly did make our wedding day brilliant and we are so happy we chose to have our reception there.

I personally am not an avid golfer, but my dad is, and he really likes it here! I suppose I can really only review the restaurant at this point. My family and I do eat here relatively often (because my dad is a frequent patron here), and we usually have a great time here because the food is great and the staff are so friendly. However, during our most recent visit (a couple weeks ago), the waitresses were really dry and not very attentive. It was not busy when we visited, so I'm not sure why it was so difficult to flag one of the two waitresses who were working at the time. I'm sure this was just an off day for these employees, but I just wanted to put that out there. Otherwise, I would find myself coming here again with my family in the near future

Great course, immaculate conditions, consistent greens. Most impressive was the staff with special note of the marshals/player assistants. We had an extremely slow group ahead of us which the marshals were all over to keep them moving. It is the first time in many years I actually witnessed a marshal doing something to keep the pace of play moving. We ended up only being 15mins off pace because of their diligence. Other courses should follow their example - Golf North especially. Thanks again Crosswinds for another exceptional experience.

My friends and I played Crosswinds Golf and Country Club this weekend and I purchased a jumbo hot dog at the turn. I have one word to describe this entire hot dog experience... "Wowww" - (Owen Wilson voice). The dog was purchased after my tee shot (roasted) on 9th hole through the GPS, touch screen golf cart, with a promise to be ready when I finished the hole. Upon finishing our group made our way to pick up our lunch. Everything was ready, with exceptional customer service and a rapid response dog delivery. The jumbo dog came with a soft, tasteful sesame seed bun, absolutely PERFECT bun/dog ratio. The hot dog itself contained picturesque score cuts and flawlessly executed grill marks that resulted in an impeccably cooked hot dog, near perfection. All standard condiments were offered, including home made relish, a rare treat. Garnishes included hot peppers, raw onions and sauerkraut. Enough cannot be said about this incredible hot dog experience. This dog receives the highest score of my illustrious career to date at a 4.3 out of 5. I would certainly recommend everyone travel to Crosswinds Golf and Country Club to try this extravagant hot dog experience.

The course is excellent, challenging and well maintained. The gentleman in the pro shop was incredibly friendly as well as the starter. There were two Marshall’s on the course on Saturday when we played. One was extremely friendly, making sure we were having a great time right off the first hole. The other older Marshall, came by after we had just teed off on the second hole, barking at us to hurry up. That soured the round right from the start. We were two walkers and two riders and were told 5 times (2nd hole, 5th hole, 7th hole, 11th hole and 14th hole) through our round to hurry up, that we were slowing down everybody behind us, even though we never saw anybody behind us. Every hole we teed off, the group in front was just getting to their putting or finishing their putting. Totally unprofessional, especially paying close to $100 after taxes for green fees. I wouldn’t recommend playing this course unless you are a professional golfer who birdies every hole, or you will be barked at by the one rude Marshall.

The course is beautiful and well maintained. There is no question about that. However, the course management proved to be sub par. As a member of another local course, I rarely take the plunge to visit other courses. Especially one with such high green fees. The course is worth its price based on quality, but falls short in regards to pace of play and course management. I've been golfing for 10 years now and can honestly say I've honestly never been told "you're playing to fast" when approaching a marshal about the the group in front their slow play. The course site outlines that if needed, it's appropriate to play through. Later when it was clear that it was the group in front, the marshal finally approached them. We were then told "sorry, they are stubborn" It's the Marshall's job to uphold a decent pace of play... regardless of the recommended playing time, which is 4 1/2 hours. Painfully slow for any course. To say a group is going to fast is ridiculous. So we must now be punished for the group in front waiting for others to clear the green on a par 4? Although the course is in great shape, I can honestly say that cannot recommend this course to friends, family or others. I personally will not be returning here.

If you would like to play the front nine after 6:00 they won't let you. The owner doesn't like it. We played the front nine at twilight $55. By the time we finished the front nine there was 3 hrs of daylight left. We saw that there were 4 groups on the 10th tee waiting. There is no way of playing the back nine in time. Thnx for the $55 nine hole rate.......

Booking our group of 10 for a reunion round was made possible by Chris, GM and the Pro shop. They were all very accommodating as we requested some specific times and on a weekend. Great customer service. Even the cart person was top notch. Practice facility in great shape. Course in great shape. Even playing late on a Saturday the greens rolled true.
