It's a shorter 18 hole course that can be challenging. This course definitely makes you use your irons. It's a fantastic run family business. The owners are a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely recommend a trip to Summerlea for a round.

Inexpensive pitch and putt. Terrain is hilly and greens are small. Can make for some challenging golf if you're not accurate off the tee. It's never busy so is my go to spot for a low key 18 with the boys.

I have had the opportunity to photograph two weddings in this venue and each time was stunning. They are excellent at making sure your day run smoothly. The staff is friendly and very nice to work with.

Its not a high caliber course but challenging enough, and worthy of a driver on 4-6 holes. There are some medium length plays with valleys to clear or a cliff to shoot off. And, a few very basic short holes. A good all rounder 18 course on a budget.

So disappointed about the service and management! Summerlea Golf club is the worst place to choose for any type of event especially wedding... Ask for the contract before you pay deposit!!! Unfortunately I trust Summerlea golf club but they made me regret it!!! I want my $1000 deposit back!(I have cancelled our event one month in advance)! Added in 3 days: You see, even nobody replies to my comment!!! because they don't care about anything and won't return my money! Great customer service!????????????

This golf club and Amy Carruthers is very unprofessional. She has no form of customer service. Please learn how to be professional and treat your clients with respect. The tent Isn’t well equipped as a wedding venue. You need to cost more to have a decent wedding. Highly disrespectful! If I could give it a zero I would.

I come here quite often with some buddies and theres never a dull moment. Great course, food and drink available, fair prices! I think google shows theyre open until 8pm on Sundays but its to my best knowledge that they close at 6pm!

stopped in to this amazing lil golf course that's tucked outta the way in scugog. Had a peameal on a bun that was perfect but the best part of the visit for sure was the very friendly staff! will be back anytime I'm in this corner of the Township and I'm bringing friends :)

Loved this golf course since I was 10 years old and the staff are still as friendly today 25 years later. The course is always kept prestine making for a great 18 holes. Disregard all the one star reviews as they must be completely fabricated. Will be going back soon for a round! Cheers.

very poor management. Amy Carruthers is owner, coordinator, manger and she can't handle the venue and answer all the questions. They are not responsive to the calls and emails. she took a deposit for wedding venue without sending a contract (probably for tax and business claims ) and reused to give the money back before one month early notice cancellation . The tent doesn't have enough facility for a wedding celebration. The lights, decors and temperature not designed for outdoor wedding. Great, short 18 hole course. Elevation changes keep it interesting. A great course for beginners and people who want to work on their short game, although their bunkers could use some attention. Owners are very friendly and their bulldog Georgia is often around to greet the golfers.

I would not recommend this wedding venue. Their outdoor tents are very under-equipped for cold weather. They do not have adequate lighting or a well set up heating system. Ideally, it is the management's responsibility to provide the costumer with these services. But they do not!!! You have to pay additional fees for the heaters or more lighting and none of it is included in the budget!! So definietely not a suitable venue for the colder months of the year. My friend who was planning to have her wedding here was very unhappy with how the management handled everything as they completely ruined this most special experience for her.

This is a lovely course. You can drive a cart but the course is very walkable. The course is hilly so you'll get your cardio in. Most of the holes are par 3 or 4 but there is ample opportunity to use a variety of clubs. The dry summer has been rough on the bunkers and some of the fairways as what sand there is is dried out and cracking and some of the grass on the fairways is dried up and cracking. Overall, though, the course is beautiful with gorgeous views of rolling countryside. I'd definitely recommend and will be returning again.

I've been coming to summerlea off and on for the last decade from a youth to now adulthood. It has always stayed consistently pleasant to play all around . From cost to enjoyment. It's not a monster sized course. It is however a great place to practice your irons. The views are great staff is pleasant and welcoming and you never feel rushed (overbooked tee times). Also has the fastest golf carts in all the lands I'd swear they had turbo's installed.

Not impressed at all. We had a tee time for 5:00pm. We drove 35 minutes to get there, and will never do it again. We arrived, absolutely no social distancing. There were about 30 people all standing around. No masks at all. Finally got to the door and she forget to check the online bookings... so we got turned away. What a damn joke. Outraged by this. No stars would have been more appropriate.

I was not happy with the service at all! I would not recommend this place due to staff being unprofessional and broken promises! When you plan an event you trust the place and the people working in it to hold their side of the bargain but it did not happen with this place. Very disappointed!!!
