Very poor front service. Waitress seemed more interested in socializing than doing her job. I got up and poured water for our table. After over an hour of waiting we got our food. After the meal I got up and interrupted a conversation she was having so I could get some take out containers. She was awful in her body language and emitting a huge sigh of annoyance. I will go back as long as that woman isn't there.

A hidden gem for food. We ride our motorcycle up (for lunch) for the food in the club house. Much better than the pub at other end of town. Always tasty. Never played golf. Nice outside patio, and lots of humming birds in the summer. Small gravel road at entrance but manageable with your bagger. Might even see helicopter fly by to land, low and close. Edit: Why am I the only one who's posted? Been coming here 3 years now.

A beautiful spot! Unfortunately we ate before we went out, next time we will have something to eat. **** UPDATE: WE WENT BACK! As a professional food photographer, I get to see and sample some awesome food. This is one of those times. I travel to some pretty special destinations and hear some pretty good stories. This place, like many, is struggling with the protocols and staffing issues. The staff (chef) still takes the time, puts in the effort, to make sure you get OUTSTANDING food. Had a great day out on this beautiful course. It is a hidden gem. Sure it could use some work on the fairways but overall the scenery and length of the course make it a desirable destination.

The greens held nicely and the tee boxes were in great shape. The course was a pleasure to play. Played 18, the white tees for the 1st 9 and then the blues for the 2nd. The separate boxes give a different look to the 9 hole course. Really enjoyed my round and the clubhouse made great food!

Rode our motorcycles all the way from Edmonton Alberta. The place was a 10/10 Staff, food, service, all was great...…..zero complaints from any of us in our group. Definitely will be returning one day.

The Gold river golf course is a jem. Even if they struggle with cash flow during the current drought the course is in good condition. We get treated like VIP's by the friendly staff all the while marvelling at the natural beauty around us. Check it out for your self.

Beautiful little course. It has a good mix of hard holes mixed in with some rather straightforward ones (that I'm still terrible at!) It's a bit of a (beautiful) drive to get there but worth the trip in my opinion!

We had a great time playing this hidden gem. Was scorching hot but still played,so glad we did. Lady who runs the place was awesome. Great food too!

We ride our motorbikes from Campbell River to Gold River on Sundays and like to lunch at the Gold River Golf Club. Nice setting, pretty views, abysmal service. The beverages are cold but the food takes forever, forever, forever. Bring a sandwich.
