This Golf is classified in the category of Public golf course.
The course was in excellent condition (as usual) and was quite challenging due to the high winds. Pace of play was also very good. Keep up the good work!
Nicest golf course, well kept and the people that work there are extremely welcoming. Love this place.
Great course and a great layout. We've been the course a number of times and always had a great day out. Let me also add, the staff is very helpful and you genuinely feel they care about you have a great experience.
Course was in good condition other than 9 which was turned into a par 3 since the tee boxes were being repaired. The tee box that was available was destroyed. Pace of play was slow. Full round took over 5 hours. The starter seemingly rushed our group to tee off and then we proceeded to catch the group ahead of us on the first green and waited behind them for the rest of the day. Because of the above it wasn’t worth the nearly $100 per person.
Great variety of holes. Some hard, some easy, some wide open, some target golf holes. Always in great shape.
Beautiful golf course that's always in excellent shape. Love the large undulating greens.
Course is superbly maintained. Best value for the quality in this area. This course shows like it should cost much more!
Great time, and amazing pace of play. Sure redo at the price point.
Willow Valley is an excellent course in terms of condition, the challenge it gives to players, and the friendly staff
Always enjoy our rounds at Willow Valley. Course was in great shape - well groomed fairways and fast greens. Challenging but playable. Good pace of play. A day trip for us - but enjoy playing 2X a year
Solid course- always fun to play and kept in good condition. One of my favourites in the Hamilton area.
I have been golfing at Willow Valley for the last five years. The course is always in great shape!
Willow Valley is a wonderful golf course but booking a tee time successfully is almost impossible. Our group purchased a package of 50 tickets for 2021 and the tickets are restricted to golfing on weekdays before noon...that's fine in itself. However, when the online system opens at 7:00 a.m. two weeks before the day you want to golf, any tee-time between 8:00 a.m. and noon is virtually gone by 7:01 a.m. If you click in right at 7:00 a.m. on the nose, you can select a tee time and by the time you select it, it may already be gone. Booking two groups back to back by one person, I would say, is impossible. To book even two groups, we had to have four or five of us wake up early just to do that, and getting back to back all the times we tried was not possible. This course is a 5 out of 5 for quality and staff and condition, but I give it a 3 out of 5 overall because of the impossibility of booking a reasonable tee time. Be careful if you are purchasing a special booklet of 50 games for the following year because the stress you'll have every time you have to book will ask you if it was worthwhile. I do not plan to purchase another package for 2022 because it's almost impossible to book a reasonable tee-time that meets the package restrictions for time. I hope Willow Valley works this out because I'd love to return when they do.
I have 2 favourite courses in the area and Willow valley is one of them. Always in superb shape from Tee to Green. Friendly and helpful staff. The course itself is stunning. Challenging from the back Tees, I'm sure, but playable for the average golfer too. Lots of variety of play, every hole has its own challenges. A gem for sure. We are lucky to live nearby.
8 of us were out for a little birthday round, and it couldn't have been a better time. From the weather to the course conditions, to the service was all top notch, Thanks, I'll be back!
Great golf course! has its challenges but does still make it enjoyable to play. Good location as well which is not to far from the GTA and the prices make it a great day out
This is the nicest gold course I've ever played on. I'm not a great golfer but this place was so nice it's a little intimidating. Staff was great and helpful. This place is also on one of the GPS apps if your into that.
Willow Valley is one of my favourite courses and I play many rounds there per year. I play much more expensive courses but I can't say that I enjoy many as much as Willow Valley. I never tire of playing the course and always look forward to it. Though I play lots of golf on many different courses, Willow Valley kind of feels like my "home" course.
Nice course and nice views. Architect did a nice job getting 18 holes in the space provided. The course is tight but well designed. When we visited they had heavy rains and cart path only. Would like to play again under drier conditions.
This is super course. It's always in great shape and the ground staff does a great job with the greens. It's a pleasure putting, but at the same time quite challenging putts because it's one of fastest in the area. The inside staff in the proshop and restaurant are always very courteous and friendly. It's also nice to have a cart girl coming around frequently, especially during those hot days in the summer of 2021. Most of all, it's super close to the City of Hamilton where I live.
great course in excellent shape....as always! Greens fast with many undulations; you'll want to be very thorough when studying your putts. Four hrs 15 min seems about right
Great course, overall. Excellent layout and always in good shape. The grounds crew should get a golf tutorial, though, as they don't understand normal golf etiquette, i.e., don't stop cutting grass green side while you are putting.
This is a great course. It just looks amazing and it is challenging. It helps if you can hit your ball straight otherwise you could end up with triples. The greens are very challenging too and in great shape. PofP was bang on and it was a four hour round - looked like it was a ready golf kind of course- the way all courses should be. The front staff and the restaurant were kind of spaced out but they were all quite friendly. I would play this course again for sure.
One of my favorite local courses. Great layout, friendly staff.
Course was in excellent shape and presents a challenging layout. Tee blocks, fairways and greens +++. Only thing missing the day of our round was the refreshment cart.
Beautiful course, nice layout and quite challenging. Greens were in pretty rough shape though from shoe spikes and ball marks.
Played Willow Valley this morning. WOW !!! Could easily pass as a private golf club. Conditions were pristine and greens were smooth, rolling about 10 on the stimpmeter. $88.14 taxes in with power cart is a fantastic deal nowadays !! Will be back a few more times this year.
Willow Valley is one of the best golf courses in southern Ontario. Every time I have golfed there, I have always found the greens and fairways in perfect condition. I am glad they have taken out some of the bunkers to speed up the pace of play and make the game more enjoyable.
Wonderful staff, we were newbies and they treated us with dignity...one bad experience with a team of golfers but the staff and other players made up for it! Beautiful course!
We have been playing Willow for the past 20 years. Greens are always great. Course is always well maintained. Only issue I have is with the bunker sand. They used to have great fluffy sand but changed to something coarser a few years ago.
Willow Valley is a go-to course. It's always in great shape and fun to play. The staff are friendly as well.
Love playing this course. Play here every Friday. Course is always in great condition. We play all over but this is our go to course. Excellent people who treat you properly.
Nice course, great staff. Pins were tough but course was in great shape for November. Definitely recommend it and I will be back!
Great course. But I drove 2 hours to play with a group, I scheduled the time. One player was a no show and they charged his fee to my card and begrudgingly gave me a rain cheque to make up for it. The only problem is I went to find my rain cheque to use it this week and found that it has a 30 day expiration. For someone coming out of town putting a 30 day restriction on the rain cheque is obtuse. Loved the course, was worth the drive but highly disappointed with the pro shop policy regarding rain cheques. Every other course I’ve been to they are valid until end of season. Try harder guys.
Beautiful course Great price Awesome staff And a hole in one Yeah
Lovely course, it was very well maintained. All of the fairways were great, the greens were nice and fast. Overall a great track for the price! Also, the staff were very friendly!
Nice course lay out. Well maintained. Had a good pace of play.
Love the course. Great set up, wonderful shape and a true test of golf.
Willow Valley always delivers. Conditions are always great, greens are smooth and fast, a number of challenging holes that will get your attention and the staff are always friendly. Love playing there.
Best public golf course in the HAMILTON area even during the dry/hot days this season. Friendly staff and great organized ladies' league. Definitely worth to play a round with friends/family and see for yourself.
Great course with challenging greens. Only criticism would be no crystals on pins for range finders.
Love Willow Valley always in great condition ,close to home and a different challenge every week just by changing the pin locations.
Beautiful & challenging course. Had to wait an hour due to a frost delay which wasn't the best. Other than that it was good.
This is a great track. Fair but a test as well. Always in great shape and the staff are second to none. A long drive from home but worth the trip every time
My personal favourite. I always enjoy playing this course. Beautiful layout and greens. Challenging but fair. Friendly staff. Nice patio to enjoy a cool one. You can't go wrong.
Best kept course we played this year, clean fairways and super fast greens. For a public course, WOW.
Grew up in Mount Hope and played here a lot. In the summer it will have very challenging, very fast, multi-tiered greens. Just try to get the ball on the right level. The rough is quite penalizing. The course is almost always in mint condition. The routing is easily walkable. Pace of play can be very bad sometimes, and I just wish they would monitor it more closely. Also, can people just please fix your ball marks? The greens are too fun and sometimes riddled with ball marks. It’s basic etiquette.
Superb course, always in great condition. Offers experienced golfers good challenges and lots of variety; especially the challenging greens. Willow Valley is challenging, yet somewhat forgiving. Staff is professional and courteous.
Course was in excellent shape and staff very helpful and courteous! Good Price also for a good course!! Looking forward to playing here many more times.
Ordinarily this course is in great shape but due to all the rain over the last few weeks the last time I played the course it was cart path only. Having to leave the cart on the path and walk to my ball on every shot was no fun. In addition, many of the fairways were very wet which was not very good conditions to be hitting off the fairways from. I know the course can't control the weather but I wish the course would drain better and improving drainage is something the owner's of the course can fix!
Course is always in fantastic shape. For a course like this, it is of great value. But the best part is the staff, very friendly and keep things moving nicely.
Excellent well manicured golf course at good $$ value. I like the staff and they treat us well.
One of my favourite courses!! Always in great condition.
We took my 12 year old son here for his very first time at Willow Valley! He loved it! Beautiful and extremely challenging...he's hooked!! There's only one drawback that we encountered - Willow doesn't have a great "Junior rate" at any time of day or any day of the week, so young teens who have a good golf game are unfortunately rarely able to afford to play there. Our suggestions is for Willow Valley Management to invest a little in its future players, with either a junior league timeslot or regular reduced rate and/or cheap rate when playing with paying Adult.
Always challenged at the course which makes it so much fun to play. The staff are very courteous and fun. Thanks for another great season
Loved spending the day here. Rolling hillside layout presents all sorts of challenges for the intermediate golfer. Fun, challenging course with great drainage considering all the rain recently.
Great coarse. Challenging greens. Tee boxes in good shape. Healthy coarse
Very fun layout, kept in reasonable condition, greens roll nice, bunkers need more sand, starters and marshalls need to reinforce repairing fairway divots. Management should advise other golfers when booking if there's a tournament going on. We arrived 30 minutes early for our tee time, it took forever to check in because the only guy at the desk was also collecting money from tournament patrons. Once we finally got to pay we were rushed onto the course to get ahead of the tournament. No time to warm up whatsoever. Really poorly managed and just inconsiderate towards paying patrons (who were paying $17 more per person than those checking into the tournament).
One of the finest course that I have ever been to.
Fantastic course to play. The course is always in great shape, the place of play is great and the layout is awesome. Very good mix of long and short par 4's, scenic par threes and challenging greens. Would recommend anyone to play this course if you are in the area.
Beautiful course and in great shape given the time of year. Fun to play, nice to look at, very well-paced, and the folks that keep the place running smooth are super friendly- a kind gentleman saw me sprinting to the open washrooms at the clubhouse between the front and back nine and offered me a ride back, for which I was very grateful. Refreshment cart was out and about (yay, Caesars!) but washrooms on course were closed at this time (take note ladies). Would definitely come back.
First time playing and had a great time. Decided last minute on a twilight tee time and was not disappointed. Conditions were great, pace was fair. Will add this course to my rotation.
Beautiful course. Challenging. Well kept. Greens are consistent.
Course was in perfect condition. Lots of hills and challenging greens, which is great for all levels of golfers. Staff very friendly. Dale
Course conditions were excellent and as always, service level was top notch
Willow Valley is a great course. The greens are challenging and fast. Enjoy it every time I golf there.
This is one of the best public courses in the GTA West and further for its carpet-like fairways, glassy greens, and never-boring overall layout. When you're out there, you just feel good and confident in your potential no matter what your actual score says. That you can sometimes see the screws in the belly of a huge airplane taking off or landing at the nearby airport is a little extra perk. The only downside is that some pro shop intake staff may need to learn to relate to their customers.
Wonderful experience!! Paul was my coach he was extremely knowledgeable and patience. Knowing that I was new to the course, he explained all the details and stance and grip. This was a great experience.
Willow Valley Golf Course is the most beautiful, challenging golf course in the western side of the GTA at the most reasonable fee. I recommend it to all of my friends and we love playing it together. The facilities and pathways are kept in perfect condition. Looking forward to another wonderful year of golf at Willow Valley.
Great track! Greens were amazing!
Great Course! Wonderful layout, challenging yet forgiving. The course conditions are always great and the staff is always friendly and helpful. One of the best courses in southern Ontario. The Advantage packs are a must. It is worth the drive from Toronto.
Absolutely love golfing at Willow Valley. Course is always well kept and ready to be enjoyed. Beverage and food team are awesome and always making sure you're looked after. General Manager Carrie has been great to work with as well in purchasing rounds of golf as entertainment for clients. Looking forward to spending lots of time here this summer!
Friendly staff. Green are typically in great shape. Somewhat challenging. Pace of play is usually good
Really enjoyed playing Willow Valley Golf course this year as a member of the Men's Tues league. The course was in fantastic shape!
I have golfed the course on many occasions and it is consistently in great shape. I golf with my wife and we both agree that it is well worth the green fees. The greens and fairways are always maintained and the staff are friendly. The pace of play keeps our round under 4 hours which is perfect for a 1/2 day outing. Will return for many enjoyable rounds of golf.
I love this course, very well maintained and the staff are awesome. What I like most about this course is the fact that you can actually book a tee time two weeks in advance.
I joined the willow valley ladies league this year and have had a wonderful time. The course is in spectacular shape, great marshals and very nice people work in the pro shop. Carrie does an excellent job running things!
The course is in great shape, better than most the course in the area. Greens are always true and excellent. Staff very friendly, probably one of the friendliest public courses in the area. always a great time at willow
There are few courses in the Hamilton area that are as lush and challenging as Willow Valley. Ones that are as well maintained are for the rich who can afford the private memberships. Staff treat you amazing and they are on the ball. If your a first timer bring some balls for there are some challenging tight areas. I suggest clubbing down until you get to appreciate how well laid out this course really is. Clubhouse kitchen staff make great sandwiches and wraps. Plus the driving range is the bomb. If I had more thumbs they all would be up ???? I only give it 4 of 5 for 5 would be Augusta, St. Andrews, Pebble Beach etc...
Played here on a Saturday afternoon. The course was well maintained but there were no marshals around monitoring the pace of play. We were stuck behind several slow groups. This took away from our experience significantly any we ended up leaving after about 14 holes.
Nice course. I am a member at other course but want to play one or two round here a year.
Awesome course..great shape..cold beer..good company !
Excellent course maintenance. Just as I remembered from years ago. Friendly staff. Kudos to management.
Had a wonderful time at the facility. Clubhouse is a little small however the course itself is a great track. The hilly features mixed with the curved and detailed greens make a very challenging but exciting course to play. If you have the chance, you should definitely play it.
Very nice golf course. It's very well manicured and maintained. Challenging track, especially if you're walking it (which is what I did in 30c heat). 6000+ yards from the blues.
I have played here at least a dozen times this year so far. I really enjoy the player assistants (marshals or greeters), they seem to relate to the golfers and some even have wicked sense of humor, which I love! My game is a bogey or better score and I find the course to be just right for my style of play. I have invited a friend to play at the beginning of the year and He now always wants to play here. He loves the course. Who am I not to keep my friends happy!! Keep up the good work! Howard Hollingham
Enjoy playing this course. Always in good shape. Fair but challenging course. Very friendly staff.
The fairways and greens are kept in great condition. The overall atmosphere is picturesque and relaxing.
It is a little bit further away for us to travel from Toronto. The course is in fantastic shape with friendly staff.
Even with all the rain we have had as of late, the greens still roll fairly quickly and true.
Love this course. Perhaps more impressive than the golf is the exceptional customer service we receive time and time again. My buddies and I happily drive out from Toronto to play because of how enjoyable the whole experience is. Specific compliments to Joe in the club house!
Course is always fun to play, staff treats us well.
I love everything about the course inclUding The layout, the condition, the maintenance, the practice facilities, the clubhouse. Willow Valley is one of the best in the area. And purchasing the 50 game pack makes the cost very affordable. However, booking a good tee time on-line has proven to be very challenging. These golf passes have to be used before 11 AM, and it’s very difficult to get a time because I believe these multi game packs have been oversold. This problem needs to be fixed.
Always in great shape and well maintained. Friendly and helpful staff. Played Willow numerous times and never had a negative experience. One of Hamilton areas best.
Great course beautiful fairways the whole season, greens are running
Course was in good shape for this time of the year. The staff were great from the pro shop to the starter. I saw the cart girl more yesterday then I did all of last year at my home course. I forgot how nice and fun this course was. Definitely be back soon.
Course is always in great shape! Love the greens
Love Willow Valley! It is one of my favourite golf courses around! It is always in great shape No matter what time of year you go! Par 3 - Hole 8 is my favourite hole on the course. Tough little wedge.
Best course in Hamilton area if you ask me. Kept in great shape by grounds crew and friendly staff.
Great layout - course was in great shape. Plus the planes buzzing overhead are an interesting distraction.
We ended up at Willow Valley because of location convenience and reasonable cost and really didn’t expect the spectacular course and pristine conditions! We truly enjoyed the day and felt like we got great value for the price. Looking forward to being in the neighbourhood again, so that we can do it again!
Course in great shape. Fantastic greens. Friendly staff. Only wish they served breakfast at 6:30.
I have been playing Willow Valley for over ten years now. It has always been in great shape. However, having just golfed there last Saturday (June 2016), I have to say, the course is in the best shape I have ever seen it! The greens are fast and true. The sand bunkers are consistent with nice playable sand (no mud). They have always had the best staff around and nothing has changed. Well done Willow Valley! Thanks for a great morning of golf.
Our foursome plays here every other week and we always find the course in meticulous condition; plush fairways plus fabulous greens make for a very enjoyable day at one of the premier courses in southern Ontario.
Golfing at Willow is always an enjoyable experience. Pro shop (Joe and Gary) are always willing to help find tee time. Advantage package are a great deal. Course is always in great shape
Truly one of the gems in the golden triangle, tops in layout, in price point as well as course condition. A championship course that is most pleasurable to play no matter your handicap.
Fun golf course to play and always in great shape!
Our group of golfers, from Brampton to Mississauga, has been playing Willow Valley as our "home course" for over 30 years because, for the money (we use Seniors' Advantage Coupons) and course conditions, it is simply the very best course in southern Ontario
Always a good time and challenging round. Tricky greens
Opening day. Great to get out in the sunshine. Course is in great shape. Greens are still sandy from last Falls Top dressing.
Great golf course and in very good condition. The course is challenging and a long with the great condition make Willow Valley #1 on my list to play. Staff are really helpful also.
Always in great shape and challenging from all tee blocks.
Willow Valley is the best public golf course in the Hamilton and Niagara area. There are multiple tee blocks making it challenging for all skill levels. What makes this course so special is their fast challenging multi level greens and the rough, specifically around the greens. If you haven’t played here, you need too.
Great course. Rolling hills lots of sand bunkers, excellent Greens. Friendly staff, cold beer awesome Burger's. Would definitely go back to play again
Great course, always in immaculate condition. Wonderful variety of holes forces you to use every club in the bag. Greens run true. Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Amongst the best public courses in Ontario.
Beautiful course. Incredibly difficult. One of the best in the area!
Great course..One of my favourites in The Hamilton area. Well kept and some of the best par 3 holes I’ve ever played. Challenging, yet forgiving for early year golfers. Would definitely be back more then once.
Course was in great shape. Staff was friendly and pace of play was smooth and steady. Highly recommend
I was golfing with a friend of mine yesterday at Willow Valley. It was not our first time there. We drove from Toronto, and I must say, it is worth the drive. Everyone treated us so well and were incredibly friendly. From the stater, to the proshop and the kitchen (the food was incredible) - we can't say enough about what a positive experience we had. We also appreciated the replay rate so we could play a second round. I've played many course, but Willow Valley for beauty, course conditions and customer service ranks right up at the top. Thank you so very much!
Great challenging course. Amazing condition and great staff
Great course and excellent conditions. The greens especially are in fantastic shape and I really enjoyed trying them out. It was my worst putting round of the year, so that means they were fast and true. Definitely coming back to play here on a yearly basis!
Nice course and nice views. Architect did a nice job getting 18 holes in the space provided. The course is tight but well designed. When we visited they had heavy rains and cart path only. Would like to play again under drier conditions.
Great course very well maintained. Very open but challenging. Little on the pricey side but worth it
Great Condition. Private club feeling. Professional, very fun course to play. Par 3's from 90 to 202 yards. Pricing is worth conditions alone. Carpeted fairways...
Course is in Great shape. Staff are friendly and helpful
Great course and great value. I golf with a group of seniors and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Jim Patton
The Course is in Awesome Shape and Also So Very Challenging, Very Friendly Staff, Thanks For The Experience!
I have been playing golf at Willow Valley for many years. I have thoroughly enjoyed the facilities and the excellent service provided. Will continue playing.
Awesome course. Been playing there since it first opened and played today and the course was in fantastic shape. Greens were perfect as every putt rolled true. The rough was fair but greatly improved from previous years. The way course starter managed cross over on double tees was hands down the best experience ever. Even the breakfast was great!! Looking forward to my next round there. Played as a twosome and walked the course in 3HRS and 15mins.
Willow Valley is always an awesome course to play, always in great shape ????
Willow valley is a surprizing gem situated in Hamilton near the airport. Easy to get to, the staff are friendly and helpful. Course is very well maintained and a good challenge for anyone....but fair to a mid handicapper. Recommended.
Nice course layout, good pace of play, even on Sunday, well maintained and good challenge. Highly recommended.
20 years after my original time playing the golf course, wanting a nice game for my brothers birthday i booked Willow Valley. We both agreed to come back again after experiencing an awesome round. Its an hour plus drive but well worth it! Excellent conditions tee to green and thats when the fun starts. The greens are fast and undulating.. be warned.. have fun!!!
Another exciting round played at this at this snug, scenic and challenging course at this convenient Mount Hope location, the rest of my foursome and I look forward to our first hole in one.
The course is well maintained and the staff is well organised and willing to help and point you in the right direction. The only complaint I have comes from the reaction of a staff member when, after nine holes outside we stepped into the clubhouse to order lunch, we were snapped at because we forgot our masks. It is important to wear one, but a polite reminder costs an employee nothing.
Course in immaculate shape. Shot makers paradise. Enjoyable course to walk. Greens are amazing.
Excellent play great layout greens and fairways great shape
Great course. The layout is fun and challenging. Course is maintained very well and always in good condition. Great value for the area as well.
Just played this course for the the first time and what a surprise, in a good way. I have been a member of high-end private clubs in the GTHA for years and this course is a match for any of them, The layout is spectacular with one great hole after another. Greens are large and undulating with lots of options where to place holes. The only downsides today were the weather, (it was really windy) and the greens were as slow as molasses, which I completely understand at this time of the year. I would love to play this course again when the greens are fast.
This is a great course. Great service & the course is always in great shape. Unfortunately it is a bit too pricy for me.
Hey all you golfers out there if you have not played at Willow Valley in Hamilton yet then you haven't played on the fastest most undulating greens anywhere in Ontario. The whole course isn't that long but you better be good around the greens to put up a decent score. The staff is great just as long as you know the proper attitude that a nice golf course deserves. The staff will show you respect and so will the course just as long as you return the favor. The price is decent and advantage tickets are available if you want to make this course one of your regular favorites. Give it a shot. Larry Manera
We played a round today in just over 6 hours. Staff tried to say it was due to a tournament even though it was just paying players having difficulty finding their balls in the 1st cut of rough and hitting poor shots with poor etiquette. No marshall. Most staff indifferent and unpleasant at best. $11 for 1/2 a bucket of range balls. 1st cut of rough so high it would upset pga players and caused numerous lost balls just off the fairways = slow play. NOT worth playing right now. NOT ENJOYABLE.
Really like this golf course. The greens are well maintained and give you a challenge. Course overall is in great shape. Staff are very friendly
I played this course years ago when it first opened. The course is still in excellent condition and I love it! Thanks to everyone for maintaining so well - playing tomorrow morning again.
Great course. They have great sand. If you love a nice bunker, this course will not disappoint.
We usually visit this course 4 or 5 times a year. Love the undulating and smooth greens and links style holes and layout. Very pleasant golf experience every time. Par 5's are just the right distance for my game and risk reward on a good drive off the tees. Price is just right too.
Great course and staff. Time of play is consistent
Very fair yet challenging course. Always in great condition.
In great shape from hole 1 to 18. Greens run true and smooth. Manicured fairways. without doubt a shot makers course, with well placed green side bunkers. Staff was also pleasant. Nice place!
Willow Valley is always a pleasure to play. The course is always in great shape and the staff are great!! Well worth the visit. ????
Always enjoy playing Willow with my golfing buddies. I think Kevin the Super is learning the ropes of providing a great golf course to play. Great job.
Great course. Good mix of challenging distance and looks. Grounds were in really good shape for April and the staff was excellent. Really enjoy myself every time I get a chance to play here.
Course is always in fantastic shape. Great layout challenging but really fun. Looking forward to playing it again.
Just an amazing course. Great positional golf on a ver well maintained course. Love how challenging the greens are.
Cart girl only had one kind of beer so we stopped at the turn and golf what we wanted. Don’t understand why. Course and greens were first rate.
The greens always in immaculate shape and the pro shop staff always friendly.
Great course and in wonderful shape. Just wish easier to book a tee-time. I would play more often if available
Played a round with my buddies last weekend. This is hands down nicest course in Hamilton. Very well maintained challenging for all levels of players. Staff is always friendly and paise is always good. Played 4 times this year so far and going back this Tuesday. You need to drive an hour to Niagara for a course this nice but why when this is so close to home. Check it out!
Great, well kept course with friendly staff. Love playing here!
Course was in great shape. Looking forward to my next round. ????
Course is always in great shape! Always a pleasure to play.
Most important...the greens roll true and consistent, while you can count on the rest of the cuts/surroundings to be maintained and groomed exceptionally well. Always a pleasure to play.
First time playing the course. Beautiful course bunkers how ever were not well kept
Terrific Course!! A great test of golf!!
Course is in great shape and staff are all very friendly ????????
Amazing condition, great course one of the best in Hamilton. Only issue is the twilight times are strict on having the cart back at a certain time even if you are on your last hole.
Willow Valley is a beautiful course and close to home in Hamilton. It is a intermediate to tough course for the average golfer. The staff are friendly as well and the course is well maintained.
A very enjoyable round. Staff was friendly and helpful. Course was in the same great shape it always is.
Always have a great time at Willow Valley, course is always in great shape. We enjoy playing there and the staff is always friendly. Plus we get an air show from time to time.
Was a great course in amazing condition work were friendly would play again
We had a great morning! We were paired up with a couple of very nice people. Course has been awesome all year and challenging like always.. haha! Kudos to the maintenance crew! If you haven't played this course, you need to! :-)
Excellent course, club house and pro shop staff very friendly. Nice layout for all skill levels.
Enjoyable round of golf. Always in good shape no matter which time of year. Fairways are lush with no bad lies. Greens are receptive, fair size and always roll true.
I booked three tee times for 12 guys. Everyone tee'd off on time with no issues. We hit the driving range before the round and it was very well maintained. The course was immaculate the day that we golfed. The greens were smooth and the course was well taken care of. We will definitely be returning next year.
Great course, friendly staff. A real pleasure to play. I will return
Great course! Well maintained and excellent layout.
Been there many times. The place is run excellent and in the best shape. My favorite place to go. Keep up the good work.
Fabulous course. Challenging. The fairways snd greens are kept in pristine condition. The rough is of medium depth snd are challenging once your in. The entire staff has always been pleasant professional and knowledgeable. Every year my in laws bond to town and this is the only course they want to play in the Hamilton/Niagara area. Keep up the great work it’s a feather in the cap of Hamilton as well as all the golf courses in the area. Thanks for all you do all year round and I’ll be back in the league I’m in next year Craig knowles
Nice course and very well maintained.
I play weekly at this course and enjoy it more and more each time. The greens are challenging without being intimidating and the fairway is always in great shape for any golfer. I would highly recommend this course to any golfer who enjoys a challenge and a perfectly beautifully groomed course at a reasonable price.
Greens were immaculate as always and just a fun course to play overall. Tip for anyone playing Willow Valley for the first time: Hole 5 is a Par 3, but plays longer than it looks! Can't wait to play here again.
Nice course but virtually impossible to book a morning tee time. They allow you to book 2 weeks in advance and open the booking site at 7:00 a.m. I was on the site at 7:08 and all tee times were booked. As a Seniors Advantage Pass holder, the only time I can use the pass is before 12:00 noon (and it's changed to 11:00 am for the 2021 passes) so it becomes very frustrating when trying to book a tee time. My friends and I have played this course regularly and we represent over $10,000.00 in potential Advantage Pass purchases this year but given the difficulty of booking tee times that fall within the parameters of the Advantage pass rules, we won't be re-purchasing the passes this year.
A great course to play with every hole being different. The greens are fast but true. We really enjoyed our round and food on the patio after was excellent. Thanks for a great day.
Played this course for the second time this season a few weeks ago, course was once again in great shape. This is a course that will challenge even the most seasoned golfer in my opinion and will make you use every club in your bag. $90 for a October round was a little steep, but its 2020 so I can understand that. Can't wait for next season.
I play in a weekly golf league & Willow Valley is always in terrific shape (with the exception of the sand traps - hard packed or little sand & teeing areas - not level). Greens are fast & fairways lush. The problem is that the course is not well marshaled, our 4some were behind the Monday league players. They playing of the gold tees and should not have been, additionally the played very slow. We fell further behind, we called over one of the persons that work in the club house, on the 7th hole, that was passing by. He said he would send someone, no one showed up. We finally got the beverage cart to call when she reached us on 14th hole. After he arrived and chatted with them, they began playing much faster. Now why is this course is not more marshaled? I am very disappointing. Additionally, I would Suggest allowing the Tuesday league player to play on Thursdays, just like the Monday league is allowed. Regards DK
Very well maintained course..fast greens too ! Many challenging golf holes demanding accurate tee and approach shots..They offer a very reasonable senior's green fee.
Had tee off time for 12:15 pm on Sunday of holiday weekend. Arrived an hour early bought dozen balls at a good price. Sat down had a very fresh chicken salad sandwhich and iced tea. Putted on practice green when my partner arrived we were able to get off early. Played front in an hour and half at a leisurely pace keeping a hole between group in front with nobody behind us. Back nine was a little slower as we caught up to some slower traffic. Whole round in 3 hrs and 45 mins. Very happy for holiday weekend. Course was very lush and greens were very true. Greens keeper must of had sneaky grin on a couple pin placements though. Very enjoyable day. Experience worth returning for.
I play golf every Monday in the H&M League, and the staff is always the best i require a blue flag for my cart and when the staff are out of blue flags they will bring one out to me when one becomes available, now thats GREAT SERVICE !
Its not a bad golf course, it has some fun but quirky holes. Im giving it a 3 star because the condition of the course has diminished over the years. Unfortunately the golf courses main feature is the bunkering, today the bunkers were in horrendous condition and were almost unplayable, and one hole the maintenance staff dumped piles of sand in the bunker and left it which is not presentable of a long weekend. The tees were in good shape but shaggy, and they decided to cut the greens without doing a clean up cut which is fine on a quiet day but on a busy day looks bad and affected multiple shots today. Usually I would give the course a 4 star rating but with all the reasons listed above coupled with the price which is 80$ riding each I expect more from the golf course. Unfortunately given the reputation I was expecting more.
Willow Valley is my favourite go to golf course. We play there every week and have always found the staff very friendly and the course in immaculate shape. It is a challenging course with a number of different and interesting elevations.
Course was in excellent condition. Pro shop and marshals were all great and very accommodating. Would not hesitate to play again! Keep up the good work!
Great course. In great condition, friendly staff.
Our group treks from Niagara and boy is it worth the drive. Course is always in immaculate shape with pure undulating greens. I guarantee that Willow Valley will become your favourite course to play and you’ll be back time and time again. Highly recommended.
This is by far the best public course in the city !! Highly recommend it. Very challenging, greens and fairways are very well kept. I play the course at least 10 times a summer.
First experience and pleasantly surprised. Spongy well manicured fairways with massive undulating (and quick) greens all at a very reasonable price. Throw in a 4 hr round with friendly staff and there is no reason to not enjoy your round.
This is a great course. The greens are undulating so watch you don't 3 putt more than once!! The best fairways that I have hit from!! The course is not overly long but it plays tough. I usually play here 3-6 times per year. I would give this course 4.5 stars but you cannot do that on this app.
Fantastic course. Worth the drive from Toronto
Love the layout, Tee boxes need some TLC, greens are as challenging as always. Starters and player assistants do a good job.
Gorgeous place, fun place to play! Staff is very friendly and helpful!!
Great course and staff. We all (two foursomes) really enjoyed our day!
I played the course a month ago and can still remember every hole, that's my test for a good course. Greens have lots of undulation. Some of the most fun to play par 3s around. I played in terrible weather and very wet conditions and still thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend!
Always a fun round of golf here. The course is in immaculate condition, even into the fall months. Challenging in places but with opportunities to make a score.
The course is beautiful! Love playing here! :) Everyone is so nice there!
Walking or riding you’re in for a great round of golf at Willow! That course is maintained and the pace of play has never disappointed me. Staff is friendly and I recommend that you should golf at this course for everyone!
Great golf course great shape worth the money per round .
Great course courteous staff Great value for your money
This was my first Tuesday this week with my group and we had a great time. The special dividers in the carts were very much appreciated. The 10 minute tee times were terrific and my guys would recommend that you keep this, not only now, but in the future .We got around in 4 hours and no hold ups. Carrie , you are all doing a great job under crazy circumstances, and my guess for the rest of summer. Thanks so much for your personal organization and all those who are working with you. You all do a terrific job and we wanted all to know how much your efforts are appreciated. All the best. Bart Reilly, The Tuesday Reilly Group
Great course, challenging and fun. Love the way its set up around the water features. Makes for a really fun round. Conditions were great!
The course is in great shape and the staff are very friendly.
The Willow Valley Golf is always in excellent shape well-manicured and with great panoramic views of the course from all the holes, very challenging for every type of golfer with the tee blocks set nicely for every level of golfer, great staff. Nice location with great access from highways I highly recommend this course to all types of players who are looking for a pleasurable time at a beautiful Golf course
Course was in excellent condition and the greens were challenging.
Great track. Condition is always above par.
Course in good condition - pace of play is very good - friendly staff
I play Willow Valley every week. They keep the greens and fairways in excellent condition. There are some beautiful and challenging holes. The par 3s are especially challenging with multi tiered greens.
Great course! I find the staff very pleasant and informative. I would recommend this course to my Golf Buddies. Mark
Strong links layout with generous landing areas. Tees, fairways and greens always in very good conditions. Great value for the money!!
Love the greens! Fast and firm! Always in great shape! Very fair course
Great course. Well maintained. Great value for Seniors who are offered a round of golf Monday to Friday before 11am for just under 59.00 with cart and taxes in if you buy their coupon package.
It's is a beautiful challenging course.
After paying $73.00 for twilight they allowed a group to jump ahead of us and then moved a foursome that had already teed off on #1 and moved them to #10 right in front of us. All this so they could have their employees use the front nine to golf. All the starter said was "What do you what from me". After spending $300 .00 a little more customer service is what we wanted. Poor clubhouse management.
Picturesque course with well manicured fairways and greens. Many interesting holes which were tough yet accessible.
Great course and well managed. Everyone is professional and polite..
Very solid track with fast and challenging greens, pure fairways and beautiful bunkers. Pace of play was solid, got around in 4 hours on a Saturday morning. Will be back for sure.
In my opinion, Willow Valley is one of those golf courses that you never ever get tired of playing. I love the layout, the contours and all the bunkering protecting the greens. Even during this unfavourable pandemic, the maintenance staff always keep this course looking amazing.
Beautiful course, I love playing here time and time again. Cannot wait to be back next season!
This golf course is always in great shape. Pretty as well. The greens are pristine and well maintained. This season I managed to stay out of the sand!!
My first round at Willow. Course is amazing!
One of my top 3 favourite courses in the Hamilton/Halton area. 100% worth the price. Course is very eye appealing and kept in great conditions. Will be playing here again before the seasons over
We’ve played WillowValley only for two years, that alone should tell you what we think of this fantastic- wonderful - glorious and beautiful course and sometimes #^$&*!$% ,but we love it.
Played here plenty of times for years, but this year the course is in by far the best shape I've ever seen it. From perfectly level tee boxes to nicely rolled fast greens it's mint. Pace of play was on point and the staff is always welcoming and friendly. Keep it up Willow Valley, you're doing a tremendous job!
Greens were receptive, very fast and rolled true. Fairways were very nice. Some of the tee boxes were uneven and a little rough. Pace of play was great. A good experience i'll play there again.
The course management is very good and it is a difficult courses. very beautiful!!
What's happening now because they are so busy they have players on the course who aren't good or fast golfers and they don't know where their ball went, spend several minutes looking for it and consequently back up the whole course I'm not saying everyone has to be a good golfer but where is the Marshall to speed up or eliminate this from happening The group in front of us was two full holes behind the group they were following Makes for a long round and not fun when you have to wait every hole
Course is in great shape, people working there are great also.
Lovely viewed, soft grass, and great pace. Every time I come to Willow it's been an incredible experience!
A great course,it challenges you in so many ways. This course well maintained. The staff are helpful and friendly. You won’t be disappointed.
Great course at a great value. Played it many times this Summer
great course always kept in shape. best twilight deal in the city!!
Great course and reasonably priced. Very challenging holes. Difficult first hole.
Course is in great shape. Staff are friendly and professional. Very enjoyable. Don't forget seniors get a better rate!
