Our wedding at Whistle Bear in the outdoor chapel and Rose Room was a great experience beginning to end. They are a professional, experienced team that will help you each step of the way. Our consultations with Raylene and Leah were fabulous, and they are able to answer every question we had. Additionally, they also asked us questions about our day we hadn’t even considered. There is a huge benefit to their all-in-one approach, with ceremony venue, officiant, reception venue, photo location, day-of coordinator, and catering (among other options we didn’t opt into such as DJ services) all included. This took a huge stress off of planning overall, as we knew we were in good hands with all these aspects of the wedding covered by Whistle Bear. Every detail has been thought of - they even have personalized signs by the lobby front door to let your guests know when the shuttle bus will be arriving, if you are choosing to hire one. While there are 3 weddings that can be hosted at the venue simultaneously, we never felt that we were sharing the space, or intruding on/being intrusive to another wedding. They have everything down to a fine art, and their long list of experience is evident. Our day-of coordinator Mikayla was also wonderful. She helped us through our rehearsal 2 days before, and saw to everything we had mentioned and more on our wedding day. Things were taken care of without so much as a reminder. She was friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout everything. Signage and flowers were moved from the ceremony to reception seamlessly, and she even helped us fix the groom’s broken boutonniere right before we were set to walk down the aisle. The grounds and facilities are beautifully kept, making for great pictures. The food and the menu tasting were both perfect, and if there are any unique requests or dietary restrictions, they are flexible in accommodating those specifications. With the amazing foundation they have set, you are able to add as little or as much additional touches and personalized aspects, and have your wedding be just as beautiful either way. I would recommend booking Whistle Bear for your wedding a million times over. We had a truly amazing experience there, and are so happy we booked with them.

Very nice land very good quality of grass and greens The reception staff are very friendly. The second nine of the course is very different and more wooded with beautiful landscapes. The only downside is that you have to take a shuttle to get there if we didn't take electric cars.

We cannot say enough good things about our wedding at Whistle Bear. It was absolutely amazing! Right from the planning process everyone at Whistle Bear, especially Nikki Northern, was so helpful. She was so patient and was quick to respond to the million e-mails I sent her. She made the planning experience so enjoyable and not at all stressful. Whistle Bear truly has this down to an art and there is nothing that they don't think of! Nikki was so helpful in managing a few special requests that we had, we can't thank her enough. The venue is absolutely gorgeous. We had our ceremony in the Garden Chapel - everyone could not get over how beautiful it was! It was a very hot day out so unfortunately we couldn't have the roof retracted, but it was perfect none the less. The water for guests was much appreciated! Our wedding was in the Forestview Room. It is such a beautiful room that you definitely don't need much for decor to make it stunning. The outdoor terrace was awesome for our cocktail hour and many people hung out there throughout the night. Our maitre d' and concierge Melinda & Katie were absolutely fantastic. I can't imagine our day without them. They were so on top of everything and kept the day absolutely stress free for me. They accommodated any request we had and were so fun to be with throughout the whole day. I worried about not hiring a wedding planner but you definitely do not need one if you get married here. The food was absolutely amazing. Everyone could not stop raving about how awesome it was, especially the compressed watermelon salad and the prime rib. The bartenders were fantastic and were quick to get me and my groom our drinks as soon as we started walking over. Overall me, my husband, and all our guests were extremely pleased with the service that Whistle Bear provided and we would highly recommend to any future couples!

I have golfed many times at this local golf course run by the county and have always had a good experience. It is a little more challenging than some of the other courses around here but is well maintained and mature. Food is also very good.

I will no longer recommend, golf or attend anything with respect to Whistle Bear Golf Club. I was very disappointed to read a comment from a woman today stating that she was denied entry to your establishment to dine with her family for thanksgiving. As I read further along in her comments I was even more disappointed to learn how your staff treated her. Is this really what you’re accepting from your staff as well as supporting the narrative to discriminate against those who chose not to be vaccinated? My husband and I will no longer be a customer of your establishment.

We had an excellent experience here for our wedding! The staff went above and beyond and our guests loved the food and the atmosphere. The food was hot and delicious! The bar service was very speedy as well. The only thing that we were not pleased with were two of the recommended vendors they had suggested...but this really has nothing to do with their services specifically.

I did not golf the course yet. I took my son to watch the LPGA event. The course was in immaculate shape. I'll be back. Just golfed here on Tuesday in a tournament. Weather was cold and windy but the course was very nice. It is well groomed with even the fairways rolling fast. If the ball catches a hill it will roll!! And this course is hilly. I will play it again someday.

We got to work at Whistle Bear a couple times this summer for two different weddings (we're videographers) and I'm impressed at how consistently professional they are. The food is always incredible and the staff are on it. If you want a full service wedding venue that comes with a solid schedule and reliable structure, this is your spot.

I wish I could give this more stars. My husband and I got married here in July, and it was beyond perfect. Raylene was amazing and so patient with us leading up to the big day, and the rest of the staff the day of were fantastic. Food was delicious and well presented. The grounds are wonderful, we came out with so many great photos and so many memories. I would do it all over again the exact same way- there were zero hiccups the entire day. It's pricey but WELL worth it. Friends and family still rave about it.

We recently had our wedding at Whistle Bear Golf Club in the Rose Room. The venue was very accommodating with all the COVID changes. Our consultant, Leah, was excellent throughout the entire planning process and very patiently answered all of our many questions. The staff went above and beyond to help bring our wedding vision to life and make the day special. Our team on the wedding day was very professional and did a great job. The food was delicious! The venue was absolutely gorgeous! We loved the garden chapel for our ceremony as it was a reliable location regardless of weather. The Rose Room is absolutely stunning and definitely worth seeing in person. Unfortunately it rained and stormed for the entire time we were on site at Whistle Bear and we didn't find there to be many great photo options inside. If the weather is nice, the photo locations outside are spectacular, which the venue allowed us to enjoy on a different date.

My wedding coordinator Sara was amazing and when she left for maternity leave, Raylene stepped in as my new coordinator and surpassed all of my expectations. All of the staff at Whistle Bear go above and beyond from the minute you step foot on the property. I got married there on Saturday, May 7th and the day couldn't have gone any better. The food was amazing. Our guests are still raving about the food and how beautiful the Rose Room was as well as the entire grounds in general. We fell in love with Whistle Bear the second we walked through the doors in 2018 and we almost immediately. booked the Forest View room for our wedding. We had to postpone this year because of COVID-19 which was incredibly stressful to navigate. Through this entire experience Whistle Bear has been a dream venue to work with. Nikki was our consultant through the postponement and she took such good care of my fiancé and I. She moved on to another position and then we worked with Lauren who hosted us on the anniversary of our (postponed) wedding night. The entire staff made the night so special and we cannot say enough about the food, service and atmosphere. With so many friends who have gone through the postponement process with other venues, we feel so grateful to the team at Whistle Bear for all they have done to support us through such unprecedented times. We would 100% recommend Whistle Bear!

I would definitely recommend this place as a venue to anyone getting married. Lauren provided, hands-down, the best service I have ever received. Since becoming engaged, I have reached out to a few different places and Lauren exceeded my expectations. She immediately provided a list of their preferred vendors; she was always prompt with responses; and always willing to hop on a call with me. For a special day that can seem so overwhelming, Lauren made the process so easy and seamless. Sadly, my fiancé and I weren't able to make Whistle Bear work as our venue due to logistical reasons, but I will be recommending this place to all of my friends and family. The venue is stunning, but the service provided by Lauren and her coworkers is the main selling feature!

We just held our wedding at Whistle Bear Golf Club this winter in the midst of the COVID pandemic. Throughout all the planning and changes, the staff team - especially Katie and Leah - were fantastic. They did everything they could to not just accommodate but ensure the wedding was still special and beautiful, despite last minute changes/restrictions. They provided 'take home' food for our guests, in lieu of a reception, and the food was great! The venue itself is quite beautiful and we would definitely recommend Whistle Bear and the team there.

I’ve had the pleasure of being the wedding photographer for at least half a dozen couples who were married at Whistle Bear now, and each experience here has been better than the last. Firstly, the staff here consistently go above and beyond to make sure that the day runs smoothly. Each wedding coordinator on their team (Melinda in particular!) is so accommodating, calming, and kind, and truly makes the day so much easier for everyone involved. The food is always at the same incredible quality level time and time again, and I have never been given a dish that was not delicious, presented well, and served at the proper temperature. Last but not least, the grounds. It is absolutely impossible to leave a wedding here without being completely in awe of the space. The renovations that they made to the ceremony location are absolutely jaw dropping and provides the perfect built in solution for rain that doesn’t diminish the beauty in any way whatsoever. I can’t recommend Whistle Bear enough as a venue for a wedding or event. Any couple would be so lucky to be married here!

Amazing course with a stunning clubhouse. The greens are fast and undulating a d you better stay below the cup at this place. Water and bunkers are everywhere and a straight clean ball is needed. Food at the restaurant was average, didn't like that they claimed the perogies were hand rolled because if they are, they shouldn't all be identical right? Still a great spot to say you've played!

The Whistlebear venue was the first venue that my wife and I looked at. We immediately fell in love with the venue. We did out due diligence and looked at about 15 venues afterwards. However, nothing compared to Whistlebear and we booked the Rose Room at the venue. Leah was our sales consultant and we worked with her to plan everything out. She was super professional, very responsive, and helped to ensure that everything was ready before the big day. Hailey was our coordinator on the big day and she made sure to ensure that everything ran smoothly. There were no hiccups on the day because of all of the work completed by Hailey, Leah, and the rest of the Whistlebear staff. All of our guests loved the Whistlebear venue. We had a great wedding at the outdoor venue. Everyone loved looking out over the rolling golf hills while enjoying the delicious appetizers. The property was gorgeous and we captured a lot of great photos. The salad, dinner, dessert and the mid night buffet were delicious! The bar service and dance were spectacular and everyone loved hanging out on the outdoor patio. My wife, our guests, and myself were so happy with the Whistlebear venue and all of the staff there. We hosted our wedding ceremony here on June 6th. Lauren was amazing to work with. Anything you need she has your back. Whistlebear was extremely accommodating even with all the Covid restrictions. This review is for an upsetting experience at a wedding (and the aftermath) my husband and I attended in early summer, in Forestview Room at Whistle Bear Golf Club. Since Whistle Bear contracts out to Pearle Weddings & Events, I guess they are both implicated. We had a very tasty dinner, with several courses, and great service during the meal. The problem started upon our return to our table, after going out on the veranda to view the picturesque scenery. All of our personal wedding favours on our table had been discarded. They were hand made by the bride & groom, and personalized for each guest. I had 2 extras to take home to the grandparents of the bride, who unfortunately missed the wedding because of the grandpa's terrible fall the morning we had set out to travel. We thought it would cheer them , and make a lovely souvenir for a wedding they were unable to attend. When I approached a head server to ask her what happened (she was setting out the late night buffet) she was rude and dismissive: "I could go rooting through the garbage, but I'm not going to do that" and went back to her buffet table. She never even made a pretence of going back to the kitchen to reprimand of the serve staff on our behalf. She simply didn't care. We left very upset, after what had been a lovely ceremony & dinner. People (servers in this case) make mistakes, I get that. What I don't understand, is how we were treated when this oversight was reported. We returned home empty handed and shaking our heads. I called Whistle Bear Golf Club after returning home, and reported the incident. I was given a name to call, Kristen, who was to deal with the situation. She said she understood , and wanted to make amends by offering us a gift certificate for a really nice dinner out, with my choice of restaurant. That would've been fair, if she actually followed through with this promised compensation. Kirsten said, I "fell off her radar". Finally, 4 months and having to reminder her with calls and texts, we received a paltry amount in a generic gift card that would barely cover a nice dinner with a drink at Kelsey's or East Side Mario's. Strike 3. We were insulted, and thrice spurned. We can't believe how Whistle Bear Golf Club and Pearle Weddings & Events staff fell well below standards in dealing with this situation. This type of treatment is insensitive and disrespectful. Shame on you.

We were married at Whistle Bear this past Saturday and can't say enough good things about our experience. The staff were incredibly professional and helpful from the start of planning until our big day. No question was too small and they did all they could to ensure that we could relax while they took care of the details and any little glitches. Having our own event coordinator and maitre d on the day made me feel at ease that I didn't have to worry about timing or logistics. I just went what I was told, and always with a glass of wine in hand! Our guests loved the food, telling us the prime rib was just as good as anything you would find in a high-quality steak house. The venue itself was also gorgeous. We were in the Rose Room, which was so lovely we didn't even need to order extra decor, just our flowers! We luckily had beautiful weather so our guests made good use of the terrace and private bonfire pit! Our wedding party also got to drive their own golf carts to the photo location which had to be one of the most fun parts of the day. You won't regret having your wedding with Pearle Weddings at Whistle Bear. Thank you Raylene, Suzanne, and Amanda for giving us an amazing day!

O.M.G. The best, the best, the best!!! First time coming to this venue. I looooooveeeeed it. Both my husband and I went to his Christmas party. Because we needed to wait for our babysitter, we were a bit late. It was a nice drive up to the main building of the venue. Lit with Christmas lights and plenty of parking. My husband dropped me off at the door and the lobby was beautifully decorated and a nice welcome. I sat on the leather couches in front of the fireplace to wait for my husband. An attendant grabbed our coats to hang them up for us. Inside, we stood awkwardly for awhile cause we were late there were no seats left. The staff took us to the front and arranged for us to have a seat at the executives table. Took our orders right away and apologized profusely for the "inconvenience". They had absolutely nothing to apologize for. They set us up with complimentary wine (delicious) and food didn't take long at all to come out. And the sirloin was divine. I had never had anything made quite so well before. AMAZING. Dessert was great - apple tart with fresh berries, caramel sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Afterwards they set up marshmallows to be roasted outside. Best time ever!!!!! What wonderful service, exquisite food and just a beautiful venue. When we were leaving, my husband went to get the car, while I waited inside in the beautiful lobby again. Then a man announced that my car was waiting for me just outside the door. He held the door for me to get our and opened my car door for me to get in. WOW!!!! I will be coming back again and again. Most definitely recommending this place to my friends and family.

We had the absolute pleasure to have our wedding at Whistle Bear Golf club on August 26, 2021. We cannot say enough how incredibly patient and kind they were throughout the entire planning process (we postponed twice!). All the staff are so accommodating, hard working and friendly. Our guests raved over the food. The grounds and rooms are kept pristine.They executed a beautiful day for us, and we really cannot thank them enough. I would recommend everyone to have their wedding at WB or any of the Pearle venues.

Hoping their staff gets the training they promised on racialized language and cultural sensitivity. In the landscape of 2021 using the phrase " you people" repeatedly after being corrected and advised to not do so , fails be categorized as the "ignorance excuse".If a potential customer is respectfully asking you to change your verbal interaction ,do so without hesitation. That phrase is "othering" and condescending.It should not be excused as cultural differences or needing cultural training. It is wrong. It is not used when conversing with "like shaded" individuals so it holds only racist undertones wrapped in hierarchical assumptions.The venue promised training to be done in this regard..I suggest they actually follow through and not just dismiss this as a misunderstanding of cultures. Be accountable.Follow up will be sought in the upcoming months.

Leah was a blessing to have on our side as we navigated postponing our June 2020 wedding to September 2021 because of gathering restrictions. She was accommodating, helpful, and communicated well. She was able to answer all of our questions quickly and accurately - we never had any complaints or trouble with Leah. She was well organized and was also knowledgeable about the ongoing changes in event limits and restrictions. She helped ease our stress and helped us to enjoy the process. While we didn't see Leah on our wedding day, we know that she passed all of the information on to the day-of coordinating team because they were well prepared and knew everything that was going on. The WB team and Leah are great and make your wedding day experience much better.

My brother's wedding was held at the Whistle Bear Golf Club; the venue was fantastically decorated and staff were very friendly. Food was quite good. We were allowed to use other rooms that weren't in use as we were the only wedding party that day (used other rooms for photos)

The day of the lunch everything was great. The service was amazing and the food delicious. Everyone raved about how great it was especially being above and beyond with delicious dishes for those with dietary needs. The venue was also tastefully decorated. My only criticism is the sales team that arranged the dinner. Poor communication and very slow follow up. She also was on holidays leading up to the event, which could have been very stressful.

Great golf course with very well maintained fairways and greens. It can play quite challenging if the wind is blowing and your playing the rearward tees. I really like how they've continues to improve and enhance the course over the years. The new facilities that were built a few years ago are also very nice and the staff is generally very helpful and make you feel like a welcome guest. The only slightly negative thing I have noticed here is that there has been a huge demand and club focus on weddings at this and as such there is a marked impact on the facilities and parking during these events.

We had our wedding at Whistle Bear Golf Club this summer during this COVID pandemic. The staff there, Nikki and Leah, were absolutely amazing. They were extremely accommodating and were able to make the wedding of our dreams happen even with all the restrictions, they made it work so well! We are so so happy to have went with this venue. Not only is the venue the most beautiful I have seen, but working with the staff was amazing. They customized everything to fit our needs, were so kind and caring. Was here for a seminar. Food was OK but nothing special for a continental breakfast. Didn't like the short black hair in the bowl of raspberries. There was a notice to the right of the front door that their liquor licence is suspended until April 20th. Not very responsible to serve intoxicated guests as indicated as the infraction on the suspension notice. Can't imagine having booked a special event and then not being able to have liquor available for guests.

We have been here previously related to weddings and this was the first time things ran so behind. There was at least a 40 minute wait from soup to the entree. Coffee and tea came well after dessert. You guys work hard, care about your clients and your reputation and it shows! The venue is just as beautiful as the staff that works here and we are so happy we were able to celebrate our wedding at Whistle Bear. Planning a wedding can be stressful but you’ve all done a great job at eliminating a lot of that stress. Every detail was thought out/ discussed which made us worry free the day of. We attended the club for a wedding. The venue and the course is very well taken care of, the managment tho is pretty uptight and restrictive about serving alcohol. The food is really good but the service, the staff and the bar in particular is limiting and they refuse to serve shots plus they treat all guests as if they are underage and require monitoring. Overall the service and the management takes away from the looks of the venue and good food quality.

We had our dream wedding here and it truly was spectacular from the start of planning up until the big day. The staff were extremely kind and accommodating through ever changing plans due to covid. The food was incredible both at our pre wedding tasting and on the day of... truly our guests raved about it all and they were accommodating for dietary restrictions and special requests. The grounds are gorgeous and we cannot wait to get all of our wedding photos back!! The rooms are all stunning but to fit my enchanted garden theme we decorated the beams in the rose room with flowers and vines and it took my breath away!! The staff the day of were also a dream, everyone was so kind, down to earth and positive - we truly had the greatest day and cannot thank Whistle Bear enough!

I attended a wedding this past Saturday and was completely disgusted by the service that was provided to not only the guests but also the bride and groom. I was under the impression that because the wedding was located here, I could expect wonderful things from this venue. However, this was not the case. To begin, they guarantee that no brides will ever see one another throughout the day because they serve several weddings sometimes. This did not happen as she managed to see each of the three other brides throughout the entire night and there was no effort to maintain their separation out of respect for one another and keeping the moment special. There should have been no guarantee if they could not follow through on this part of the contract. Due to there being other weddings that afternoon, theirs was pushed back by 45min because staff were not prepared enough to flip the area of the ceremony outside. This of course pushed the rest of the night back significantly and made the staff rush out all the guests' cold meals and remove plates that were not finished yet. The wedding planners and staff also argued with one of the vendors at my table several times until at one point she called him into the hallway to berate him even further. The entire table knew of the argument as it was not kept private and away from the guests. This argument was directly brought to the bride and grooms attention while they were attempting to enjoy their meals and was dealt with very unprofessionally on behalf of the staff at Whistle Bear as the vendor attempted to put a stop to it several times. Then as the party began, drinks were kept to a minimum as they refuse to serve shots or doubles and were watering down drinks of guests. One guest was "cut off" from drinking because she was associated with the vendor who they had previously gotten into an argument with (this was done by "Jenn" the bartender). The staff were extremely rude, disrespectful and condescending to several guests and should be ashamed for having ruined a large majority of the night for the bride and groom. This venue is absolutely stunning but the staff fail to exhibit professionalism, the food was served cold and was mediocre at best, the technicians were terrible and this is the reason why it receives nothing above a one star rating. If you are looking into booking your wedding here, I highly recommend you reconsider as they cannot pull through on their end of the contract and will only create problems for you on your special day. Completely not worth your time, money or stress.

I was a 23 year old male powerlifter and athlete in fantastic health BEFORE I tried a one hour training session at Whistle Bear Golf Performance Centre. Earlier this summer I decided to seek professional help in improving my golf game and was referred to Theresa McDermott at the Golf Performance Centre. During my first and only session on July 21st with Theresa I was instructed to bend my back knee inwards while applying my bodyweight on the leg. This movement was counter intuitive to what I had learned in my other athletic experience, but I was reassured it was safe to do and was told "this is not weightlifting" when I voiced my concern. Since July 21st my knee has been in almost constant pain. Simple tasks such as walking and standing are hard to do for long periods of time (never less weightlifting and exercise). Today on September 23rd I was informed by my MD that the pain I am feeling in my knee is caused by a torn meniscus which will require surgery and physiotherapy and may never function the same again. BE CAREFUL with taking advice from these "coaches" this poor instruction cost me a lot more than the hourly rate. *** One star because Google does not have a -value option. ***

I'm a junior member here and I'm part of the OGA (Junior Program). The course is very well maintained- yet not the prettiest course I've played but it's not horrible. Aside from that, the driving range is the most impressive range I've ever seen. With all the targets bunkers and realistic greens, it's as if it's almost like you're on the course. Gorgeous venue and a lot of effort was put into the Manulife Classic. I had a great experience there, they let you get real close to the players and I even managed to get Lexi Thompson's ball signed. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They're always willing to give you a ride up to the tee deck or wherever you need to be. The bunkers have exceptional sand with barely any rocks in them. Very fluffy and easy to play in. The members are mostly friendly and willing to play with others although I am a junior. All the tournaments and events are very well organized. The club always keeps you "in the know" about everything that's going on at the club. The only thing that I would say is that I would recommend paving the road next to the driving range. It's full of potholes and can damage cars. Aside from that, I would absolutely recommend this place for anyone who enjoys golf. The adult memberships are a bit pricey but the junior memberships are quite reasonable.

Our beautiful consultant Nikki was the best thing to happen to us. She was kind, honest, supportive, accommodating, organized and the list goes on and on. We had many emails and phone calls and Nikki was always there to answer our questions, calm our nerves, and to support us in any way possible. Our Concierge and Maitre’D (Amy and Hayley) were just as wonderful. Our wedding rehearsal went smoothly, and all of our questions were answered. We left to go to our rehearsal dinner with smiles on our faces and excitement in our hearts for the big day. The ladies were outstanding on the day of. Whenever I saw Hayley, I felt a sense of calm and knew that everything was going to be okay because she was there. This was one of the best feelings because we knew we had someone that knew the ins and outs of Whistle Bear and if we needed anything, we had the support of the whole team. Hayley would check-in with us and even brought us our bubbles on our photo-shoot that we forgot about – she was on it! She always made sure our glasses were topped up with our favourite champagne! She did all of this with a genuine smile on her face. Talk about outstanding service! Every time we stepped into Whistle Bear, we felt like we were home. We felt like we were family. We enjoyed meeting the rest of the staff that we encountered during our journey as everyone was so wonderful – it truly is something that we will never forget. We feel like it is important to have the connection with the staff at the venue where you will be celebrating your special day because it all is a part of the experience and Whistle Bear values their clients and truly does make everyone feel special and welcome. The venue and grounds are breathtaking. The chapel has recently had a facelift and it looks so beautiful. It has the rustic yet chic vibe to it and it will suit any décor. The three different rooms to host your reception all have a special feel to them. We chose the Rose room for our reception and it was perfect. Our guests could not get over how versatile the space was. Many were commenting that they felt like the can move freely and go onto the terrace, then back inside to dance a little, and then go to the fire pit to sit, relax, and take in the beautiful stars. We really enjoyed taking the golf carts after the ceremony. It was also nice to still be on the grounds but to be away from guests to take our photos. My husband and I are total foodies. We knew that the food that we had at our taste testing was unbelievable – but we weren’t sure what it would actually be like on the day. We will say from the bottom of our hearts; our meals were out of this world. We had family and friends that have a specific palate, and each and every person was impressed by the quality and quantity of food. People could not stop talking about the food for weeks after the wedding. Our biggest compliment was when we had guests telling us that this was by far their favourite wedding that they have EVER been to, even coming from some guests that have been to weddings all over the world. We are not shocked to hear this, as we knew that Whistle Bear was just perfect in every way and that this was the place where we had to celebrate with our family and friends. When the excitement of it all settled, I had the hardest time accepting that the emails, phone calls, and all the planning was done. For the last year and a half, Nikki was involved in our journey and we couldn’t be more thankful to have someone that’s more than just a consultant on our side, she is our friend. When we reminisce of our time at Whistle Bear, we always have a huge smile on our faces and always agree that it was the BEST DAY EVER all because of everyone working together, the organization, the incredible staff, and the vision and goals of Pearle Hospitality coming to fruition. We are so thrilled with how our day proceeded and we cannot thank the staff at Whistle Bear enough- not only for their hard work on the big day, but with all their guidance in planning prior to the wedding. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and gave us confidence throughout planning and on our actual wedding day. The place is simply gorgeous. Our Son is getting married and having the Reception there. You might have seen a pic of him getting a pie in the face at his Stag and Doe. The food is amazing... the room is amazing. It's going to be their Fairy tale Christmas wedding. Just note that this place comes with a sizable price tag. So beauty comes with at a price. If you're working on a budget, this might not be an option. Of course unless you're a member there...it's worth a look... oh yah... it also has a balcony with patio heaters!!

Attended a wedding here Let me say right away. This is a gorgeous venue, we looked at this for our wedding but the room we wanted was booked. They have a new wedding ceremony place that’s gorgeous as well. Let me get to the couple things I didn’t like This is a fantastic venue for a summer or early fall wedding. It is beautiful.... but the new ceremony area is not weather friendly. It’s cold and if it’s raining it leaks.... those are two big cons if you choose to have a wedding in any other season other than summer. For being a brand new building they should have made it four season friendly. The food was.... okay. I expected more. We ended up getting married at the Cambridge mill (who is under the same ownership as whistle bear) the mills food was far superior. The food at whistle bear was okay but nothing special. I don’t think I ended up eating half my dinner (prime rib) because their was no sear on the meat so it looked grey and meh. Overall I think this is a wonderful venue for the summer or early fall. Not so great for the other seasons.

Due to Covid-19 we had to postpone our wedding reception at Whistle Bear scheduled for May 2020. Their team was so accomodating in trying to find a new date, helped us to reschedule as well sa gifted us with a meal and a custom set of steak knives on the day of our origionally scheduled wedding. It made our day so special! They even let us come and take pictures after our front yard ceremony. We chose Whistle Bear initially for their outstanding customer service and are so impressed with how well they have accomodated us throughout the process of rescheduling.

I shot a wedding at Whistle Bear on the eve of Canada Day. I was really impressed by the whole experience and that's hard to do since I've worked at so many venues. The ceremony space is beautiful and contemporary. There's tons of really great photo spots near the venue and around the golf course. The staff are super friendly and always helpful. To top it off the food was absolutely delicious. Gotta say it's one of my favorite venues for sure.

I attended a wedding here recently and it was a recently nice place. Appearance wise it was near flawless. The outside area where the actual ceremony was held was beautiful, and the inside where the reception was held, upstairs room, was also pretty nice. The food was decent, I had the prime rib, it wasn't fantastic but it was good enough. The wait staff was excellent, friendly and helpful despite being quite young. One gripe I had was that the temperature inside was slightly warm. I'm not sure if that was requested, but that was my experience. Other than that, it was a pretty solid place

I won’t be able to say enough about Whistle Bear. My daughter Lauren was married there on June 30th and everything from the initial meeting to picking up our extras a couple days after the wedding was truly EXCEPTIONAL!!! The chapel, the venue, the food and the staff were just simply nothing short of SPECTACULAR!!! Nikki, Melinda and Katie went over and above our expectations and executed the planning and the day itself with professionalism and expertise like we have never witnessed before. The bar tenders and servers were so polite, on the ball and ready in an instant to meet our requests and do whatever was needed so everything would be perfect. Our guests of over 220 people raved about the venue and were blown away with the food, both dinner and dessert were scrumptiously delicious (prime rib, stuffed chicken). All day it was the same “WOW, how did you find this place, so beautiful”. As the day was moving on and our amazement growing, they blew us completely away with an outstanding fireworks display. Now we knew these were coming as it was the Canada Day weekend but we did not expect the show to be so long and so damn good!!! Because of the venue and more importantly the staff this day was in my opinion was PERFECT!

Was there as a guest this past weekend for a wedding. Although the venue is relatively picturesque, and it does have some frilly incentives: drop chandelier lighting, baroque style chairs instead of the standard banquet chairs, etc... this venue and it's staff were absolutely disrespectful and disregarding of guests and especially a pregnant vendor! I could NOT believe my eyes. Upon further inspection, no where on the premises are there signs suggesting that vendors must use the public parking when making deliveries - nor was this vendor informed by the staff that parking at the front of the building was not allowed. In addition to this, the staff or Event Coordinator had berated this vendor right in front of other guests! How absolutely rude and unprofessional. As a vendor myself, I would be appalled by such treatment. As if to foreshadow things to come, the food was mediocre, drink selection were slim to none and like I said, the staff were disgraceful. I should hope that others fair much better than what I witnessed on Saturday! I would NEVER recommend this venue to any of my clients. Be wary when selecting your venue! This is not for those looking for quality over quantity.

There are 3 rooms for events. Different size ..... but what I like is that there are large windows all around the room. The view is great. You can step out on the balcony also! Beautiful place, go and check it.

I have had the most positive experience with Whistle Bear Gold Club. The website is easy to navigate through, had the information I was looking for and provided contact information for my further inquiry. I was also impressed when my email, addressed to the Director of Golf, was responded to in less than 24 hours. The service that followed was second to none. The grounds are incredibly well kept, and the membership is friendly. True indicators of community. There is definitely something extraordinary about Whistle Bear Golf Club and I look forward to the next season.
