You will see all the opinions of real people like you who are using the services of Otter Creek Golf Club (Golf) in the area close to Brantford (Canada).
At present the business has a score of 4.4 out of 5 and this rating has been based on 127 reviews.
As you can see the average of ratings is really positive, and it is based on a very high number of scores, so we may think that the valuation is very faithful. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they are pleased, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to place scores when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Golf corresponds to the category of Golf club.
Nice track but greens were slow and inconsistent, bunkers have rocks and are poorly maintained. Can't see landing area on many holes, that's annoying. Has potential but overall not great.
Perfect!
Amazing layout, must play if you’ve never played it but the conditioning is not as good as previous years. Also a shame that instead of quality sand, they use a gravel that turns to heavy sludge after some rain. Would still recommend a visit, especially if you appreciate a tough course! Good luck on #9!!
Challenging course for all skill levels. Reasonably good course condition with the sand traps being the exception. They were in disgusting shape with weeds taking over and footprint impressions everywhere. Course superintendent has given up trying to maintain them.
Okay shape, fun holes, but would rather play numerous other courses in the area
Played this course 2 weeks ago and very impressed. Great layout and fairways lush with large greens. Bit of a drive from London but well worth it. Challenging course and you need to play proper tee blocks to get the most of of your experience. You are not going to get 40 yards of roll out like you do a other burnt out courses. Only negative is greens a bit rough as numerous ball marks not repaired. If you have any length of put you can count on it jumping as it rolls. This is not a course management problem this is a golfer problem. Lets all do our part and repair the balls marks.
Amazing track! Short hitters, crooked drivers beware bring lots of balls!
One of the most uniquely designed and challenging courses you will find in Southern Ontario. Most courses have one signature hole, this course could easily boast about three. Overall, the course was in good shape when I played it, and the starter thought it was in the roughest shape it had been in in years due to some late frost, and heavy rains that washed out some of the cart paths. (see cart path complaint below) Playing from the blue tees allows for some of the nicest views of the course, but it will play long. If you play from the white tees, you will score better, assuming you can figure out where to place the ball on the challenging greens. My only surprise with a course as nice as this, was what appeared to be a short-staffed venue. We played on back to back days over the weekend, and the bunkers were not groomed even once, anywhere. The bunkers had gravel like sand, which seemed out of place for a course layout of this quality, and the cart paths really need to be paved. Again, really out of place for a course of this quality.
Love this track, first off they are great at working with people especially after the experience we had at Oxford hills. Ottercreek wants to see people out there golfing. This course is tough you need to hit your fairways and greens or you're going to struggle in spots.
Very nice golf course.
Pretty course with a lot of gimmicky holes. High fescue. Good greens.
Course is amazing shape! Greens run true and smooth Great facilities and friendly staff! Love this course
Very nice course and layout. Tough course for first timers as their greens undulating but large. Back nine was my favorite.
Gr8 track

Owner of the golf club and restaurant is the most unprofessional and greedy and downright criminal human being. Treats his staff very poorly and takes all their tips. Had a wedding there recently and was outraged at the lack of communication on his part. Gave all the staff the wrong times and left them hanging. But I mean why would he care? He planned on pocketing all the money anyways. Inside the golf club was beautiful but the archway where the ceremony was was atrocious. Why not spruce it up a bit since you seem to pocket all your servers tips, I’m sure you could afford it! It’s falling apart! As a general manager myself of a very successful restaurant I am appalled at the way this place is run, the saying is true, some people really are over worked and underpaid. Your front of house manager is a saint and I’m so upset that she along with all the others are treated the way they are. Not sure how you sleep at night knowing you have taken their hard earned money right from under them, these people have families too! Your greed will come back to haunt you, takes very little effort to just be a kind! We will never return. Don’t get me started on the grooms/grooms mans golf experience! There are no words for that, grown men were treated like children in detention! I think I’ve said enough
Amazing value. For being in the middle of nowhere, the price is perfect. I've made the drive a few times from Niagara and will continue yearly visits. Conditions were great, pace was just at 4hrs(with a senior/separate tees), beautiful scenery. Great course for planning shots. Very challenging holes and carries. Course guides or a map on the scorecard would be nice, as nearby hole locations can be confusing when hidden by trees. The food was deadly. Best onion rings I've ever had!
Gem of a course, soft fairways. Challenging, good luck on the 18th. Worth the drive.
Good course. Nice layout. Good condition. Reasonable price!
Great Challenging Course from any Tee Block
A gem of the area - well worth the drive. The course will not disappoint. With all the rain we've had it has drained very well while other courses needed to close for a day or so. Tee boxes are cut, fairways groomed, sand traps in great shape and greens roll true. A very enjoyable day (regardless of score :))
Tough golf course...play the tee blocks that is your game..
great golf course
Excellent Mother's day brunch.
Gorgeous golf course, very tough but also rewarding. Can’t beat the value, I always try to get out and play here at least a couple times a year. One of my favourites!
Love this golf course! Still cant believe it exists in my own back yard.
Great golf course and good food. We ordered beef dip and fish and chips. Great father's day
Great food and good atmosphere but the achahol a little pricy but hey good times cost money
Great course. In good overall condition. Two or three of the greens could use a little work, but an overall great time! Took about 4.75 hours to complete the round on a Sunday with a mid-day tee time. I will be playing here again. The staff is fantastic and very welcoming. They also offer cooler bags with ice to go with your drinks while on the course! Just ask at the bar.
Wow what a great golf course
Expert level
Let me list the things wrong with this course. Ah no list, it is just greeeat.
Course was in good shape with all the rain we have been getting.tee boxs in good shape fairway were great most greens were good fast and true . A couple were in bad shape but given time of year course was in good shape. Cart ran out of gas on 10th green called pro shop and guy was there quick to top us up. Over all I had great time we'll be coming back
Great course and the clubhouse has a nice selection of food with large portion sizes.
Very beautiful golf course just a little above my skill level.
Very nice golf course. Greens are rough right now.
Great course. A hidden gem!
Beautiful scenery, amazing golf course, but not good for the average golfers, as extremely unforgiving. Very well taken care of, friendly staff.
Golf course is beautiful. Club house could have had barbecue running before noon.
Had a great time ,the workers there are fantastic
Honestly this course is a gym with amazing food and a caliber of holes that is well above anything you would expect highly recommended
Course was in fantastic shape. We were running late for our tee time, called John in the pro shop and he was very understanding and made it work for us. Otter Creek is a must play, hidden gem!
Food is amazing
Held my wedding and reception here. Staff were great and any problems that arose were resolved quickly. The restaurant has amazing food and great staff!
Beautiful course, couple tricky blind shots. Thought I'd be playing an average farm course, but it was in good condition w more trees than expected. Some of the untended fairway bunkers should probably be filled in, but the greens were in great shape. Decent prices too. Can't give a perfect score as I did not see any otters.
Amazing layout, must play if you’ve never played it but the conditioning is not as good as previous years. Also a shame that instead of quality sand, they use a gravel that turns to heavy sludge after some rain. Would still recommend a visit, especially if you appreciate a tough course! Good luck on #9!!
Great golf course. Punishing though. You need to be accurate and have a good idea in yardage. Highly recommend the use of a range finder or GPS. Greens are fast with lots of variations. Highly recommend.
Tough stretch of holes 8 thru 12 but otherwise a very nice course.
Course was in great condition, challenging!
Beautiful course, but not anywhere close to being a fun course for the average player. 100 percent difficulty level.
Great golf course with a nice setup and great staff!
Wings were hot. Beer was cold. Service (speed) was mediocre.
Course was in amazing condition. Beautiful and challenging course for sure.
One of my favorites for sure very challenging
My first time there last week on Sunday was amazing 5 star for sure. Today Saturday July 15 not so great no Ranger on duty when we teeing off. 2 minutes after we tee off a group tees up . The girl at the BBQ Could use some training. After 9 holes we stopped for a burger , We sat down to eat on the patio , 10 minutes later she snapped at us and said. Hey get out your not aloud there. We are sorry we did but it was shaded and no signs saying we couldn't. We played 36 holes last week spent 250.00 not bad for 2 guys . This week we brought 2 friends spent. 600.00 I'm sure you could afford a Ranger and a Manager past 2pm . Your course is a 10 but your staff is an 8. Training is a key to success. I'll be back but hopefully the staff isn't so rude.
Course was in good shape. Greens were fast compared to the courses we've played do far this year. Keep the ball in the fairway hear as the fescue is pretty nasty. Even if you use a power cart you will still do a lot of walking so be prepared. As for the power carts they are the only thing I will complain about. Old style carts need to be upgraded the one we had didn't really want to go when you push down on the gas from a standstill.
Amazing food and golf
Voted and looked around..Lovely.
Was so nice thair. Lots of fun
Very nice golf course.
Great venue for a wedding
Beautifully manicured and managed. A long course that most will need to cart. Expensive for us yet well worth the cost. The big hitters will enjoy the long fairways, yet it does help higher handicap golfers enjoy the course via a system of unusual but well arranged 'T off' variations. We enjoyed the challenge and an excellent meal there too.
Played several decent courses in the London area for a boys golf trip. This course appeared to be nice. Showed up 5 minutes late for our tee time but the course actually had us on the tee sheet for 30 minutes earlier. Not sure how this error happened but no big deal. Because there was now a large group at the tee we requested to be put out on the back or wherever they could be fit in. Starter said there wasn't any tee openings for over 3 hours but there was a gap in play and sent us to hole 6. While driving out grounds-worker abruptly questioned where we we going and started shouting at us that he was spraying and everyone must start on hole 1. Grounds-keeper also yelled at the starter in front of us over his walky talky. Rather than bothering to argue with grounds-keeper, we went back to talk to starter who apologized to us and we received our refund and left (as we weren't willing to wait 3 plus hours to tee off, considering we originally expected to be finishing near that time). I was personally disguised by the way this groundskeeper dealt with us. This guy was completely rude and irrational (and for no apparent reason). Although his made up reason of "spraying" made no sense (as there were lots of groups out on the course already), it was the unprovaked, angry manner that he spoke to us that was unacceptable. Clearly this guy doesn't understand the concept of working in the customer service industry. Sad thing is we later found out he was the actually the course superintendent. So hopefully someone above him in management reads this review and straightens his attitude out before he destroys more customer relations. Because the rest of the staff was nice and the course looked good, but people aren't going to want to spend their hard earned money dealing with that type of non sense, especially considering there are lots of nice courses in the area who actually accommodate their customers versus yelling at them. Also, courses like Glen Abby, Grand Niagara, Lora Bay & Cobble Beach (to name a few) have all sent me out to start on random holes in the past (when doing same day replay), as does my home course on a regular basis. So it is not as if this is a new or unusual concept. These courses clearly just have a higher standard of customer service and/or common sense and actually recognize the importance of providing customers a pleasant experience and accommodate them accordingly.
Was at a party, not a game of golf. Grounds are beautiful, buildings are well designed, clean, and the staff are helpful.
Probably the best course in the area. The layout is really nice, with some great holes.
Beautiful place, great food!
Otter Creek is a beautiful golf course. Bent grass fairways, undulating (albeit overly firm) greens and a friendly staff make it a must see when in the area. However I do worry about their profitability as they must be scrimping on maintenance staff. Sands traps had not been raked the day I was there. It was so bad that the golfers wouldn't take them either... As they were a mess. I suspect their summer staff had returned to school so maybe this isn't the norm. But it did give me cause to wonder how well they are doing. I would agree with others... It's not an easy course. If you're not a 10 index or less you might be better off going elsewhere.
Amazing course.
Great course - in excellent shape and very challenging. Only downsides are the cart paths need work and the golf carts themselves need to be refurbished. There's also no longer a restaurant on site so you're limited to sausages and burgers. This was a favorite (and the only) place to eat out in Otterville - I think they'd get alot of local people for lunch / dinner if they had an active restaurant and promoted it.
Great golf course good staff reasonably priced
First time playing...great experience! Fairways, greens and tees in excellent condition. Definitely not a walking course, highly recommended.
enjoyed playing here.
A very challenging track and the course is in great condition.
Course in great shape and good pace of play. Well worth it!
Beautiful Coarse, Friendly staff, The greens are fairly fast. I would definitely recommend if you haven't been
Hidden Gem! One of the best values in Ontario. The further travel out of the GTA is rewarded with a great test of golf. Course is very well kept and greens can be fast. Excellent course, nice staff, great pricing. How can you go wrong! Recommended.
Great course. Friendly staff. 10 minutes tee times which makes for perfect pace. Blue trees have a lot of blind shots. 9 and 18 are very tricky. Use the map!
The surroundings are beautiful and the restaurant itself is also. However, the few times that I have been there it took a very long time for the food to arrive even though the restaurant was almost empty. We went there for mothers day this weekend and when we arrived they were pretty much out of food, juice, coffee and at times plates. I understand that it's a hectic occasion but that is not their first year. I also understand running out of a dish here and there but there was no food in most of the containers for the brunch. And if the bacon was replenished you better run because it might be gone by the time you get there. The staff were very nice and it's very clean but as far as food and how the place is run...less than impressive.
Great course! Great people!
Whether you do or don't get lost on the way, you will surely enjoy your round at Otter Creek especially if you can navigate the quirky holes.
This is the most challenging course in southern Ontario. I'm a + 4 but shot a 92 here.....and was happy ! Pro shop staff were great and cart / hospitality staff were fantastic !
Best maintained golf course in the area, very very intimidating design, narrow fairway and tricky green. You will add 10 stokes on your score card when first playing this course. At the end of the game, I said:" I will be back".
Vary nice course. Nice friendly staff
THE BEST COURSE IN THIS AREA HANDS DOWN!!!
We have our annual tournament at Otterville each May. The course is one of the most challenging in the area. The course is always well maintained and in excellent shape. We have a great time. The club house serving and kitchen crew are first class as are the meals. It is a great course.
Nice course, tough greens to putt
It's a good place to go golfing
nice and quiet golf course. nice greens.
Always a true test playing Otter Creek. Fairways and green are always kept well. For the price you cannot go wrong with the quality of the course that is tucked away with some pristine views.
Awesome Golf Course from tee blocks to Greens. Friendly staff. Interesting layout. Novices should golf from the forward tee blocks as it is a challenging course which is just the way I like it. It's in my top three favourite golf courses of all time and I've golfed all around the world.
Favourite course in the area
Unbelievable course, very difficult for even average players. Great prices for liquor and food, great value for a course upkept like a private course. One recommendation would be carts with GPS as there is alot of blind spots, especially for first time golfers there.
Worth the drive!!! Came from Niagara after hearing some rave reviews...we enjoyed every hole. Well thought out holes, really makes you plan your tee shot. If you haven't played here before, don't hesitate, I cant wait to come back. The grounds, facilities, and course were all in spectacular shape. I wasn't able to find anything that warranted any negative comments at all.
Great course. Always love playing this one even though it humbles me being a fairly decent golfer. Didn't appreciate the wedding party interrupting my approach shot on 18 to get pictures though. I know they paid to be there but we did too. I'm sure they would not have appreciated us interrupting their ceremony in order to get our "shot".
We went here for Christmas lunch, and while the food was good, I think our group was a little large for the staff they had on hand. Food was quite slow coming out, and didn't get refilled often (we had a family style buffet). However, the staff were friendly and ready to help when asked, and they gave us a space to exchange gifts as well, which was really nice.
Beautiful, challenging, and well maintained course for a very fair price! Definitely going back.
Great test of golf. Good course conditioning. Courteous staff. Worth the drive from Toronto.
Very challenging course with friendly staff
From the 1st tee to the last green this place was impeccable. If I could give it more starts I would.
My son and came from Toronto to play Otter Creek. It was certainly worth the drive. It is a challenging, well designed course with a beautiful landscape. For the price it was a fantastic value. I will be returning next year for sure.
nice course, friendly people, bunkers could use some work. reasonably priced for what you get, however the layout is exceptional with a lot of variety on holes. the location is been out of the way but if you're in the area a worthy golf course.
The course is incredible. Well worth the drive from London. A challenging experience and enjoyable even in 40 degree heat. The annoyance is with their course marshals. It's embarrassing how often they have marshals coming down the course in the opposite direction to check if you have any of your own booze; on nearly every hole this happened. Highly annoying and really ruins the entire experience. My suggestion to staff? People driving an hour to play golf and pay $75 a round aren't the ones bringing outside booze onto the course. Let people play their round in peace. You're not the FBI. Chill out and buzz off. 5 star review is barely a 3 star due to this.
Course is in good condition on the tees , fairways and greens. The traps are a mess apparently due to cuts in maintenance budget due to Covid. The staff re friendly and helpful. Worth the drive from Niagara , we’ll come back again
Nice facility i woukd recomend this for an event
Great shape
I am currently sitting on the 11th hole. There is a group of two in front me and in front of them is a group of four that is not letting anyone play through. We have tried calling the club house to complain but they are not picking up the phone. It's a nice course but the lack of etiquette by other golfers and lack of response from the staff is atrocious.
Tough but awesome course.
Challenging course for all skill levels. Reasonably good course condition with the sand traps being the exception. They were in disgusting shape with weeds taking over and footprint impressions everywhere. Course superintendent has given up trying to maintain them.
Always a good round
Live close and know all the contours. Its a beast and one of the toughest challenges you'll find. Thanks to Randy and Johnny for being so awesome to us locals. Wouldnt want to play anywhere else.
Tough ! I think this course is of championship difficulty. It is a bit rough at the edges but well worth the green fees.
Can't wait to play it again..
Love the course but greens in rough shape this year and nice practice facility
Not at all what I was told it would be like. Horrible gravel in the bunkers, burnt out greens, no one replaces divots or ball marks on greens. Will never play there again.
Excellent
A recent staff Christmas party was hosted at this venue. Delicious food, clean and comfortable atmosphere, beautiful grounds.
A very tough course.
Great food!!! Will be going back for more.????
Very nice course ,clean greens long course . Yes I would go back
Expert level
Great Golf course and in great condition. ..
I have left multiple messages and continue to be ignored. Food is great, staff is useless.
This used to be my favourite course. The last couple of years they have really let it go. The pace of play is slower, the tee boxes are in terrible shape and the greens are not well maintained. They let the fescue grow out of control everywhere which has people searching for balls constantly. This used to be a diamond in the rough but is unfortunately no longer worth the drive. The good thing is people have noticed and now it’s not hard to get a tee time if you’re a little last minute to book.
Great layout but a bit of a "drive" from the GTA.
One of my favorites of the season. I had heard of this one but never golfed here. Food was just so so. I had a bacon burger which I couldn't finish which then kept on giving the rest of the day.
The beer and food was great
One of the nicest, toughest courses I ever played. Quit after 9 holes and went to the bar. Not a course for anyone with 15+ handicap cap. Beautiful setting.
Well, played it with my 3 golf buddies the other week and were very disappointed in the way the course is designed. It is set up for very low handicappers or professional players. People who design golf courses seem to forget that over 90% of golfers are players who shoot in the 90s....not in the low too high 70s. It is the duffers who are the money makers for golf courses but when you design courses so tough to play..... where you feel like throwing your golf bag in the pond after playing their course is wrong. Beautiful golf course but we will never be back. Makes me laugh when I hear golf courses whining they are losing money.....wonder why??? Design them for the average golfer and maybe you will get more business by not discouraging a golfer from going from shooting in the high 80s to low 90s to shooting.......too shooting 114, 118, 124 and I quit counting and packed it in after 15 holes!
Enjoyed the course. Will play again.
Love this course but traps were full of weeds and sand was not in any condition to play out of. Staff very nice. Would love to see a senior's rate or opportunities through Underpar.
Hidden gem!! Definitely worth the drive. Was coming from downtown Toronto. Every hole offers a different challenge, you will be more rewarded for hitting your distance than being a long hitter. Definitely a target golf course. Greens rolls well probably around 9-10 when I played it. Fairways, tee box and rough very well maintained. Great facilities, club house and proshop as well. Friendly staff. Definitely going back!!
We booked our wedding here in October 2017, and it was the best decision we made! The service was incredible, the food was delicious (everyone was raving about it). The outdoor ceremony site, is beautiful. The fact that it is isolated made for an intimate evening. The staff were very accommodating and were quick to serve all the food, we loved that we could do a family style dinner. I would 100% recommend this location for anyone who is looking to book a wedding here!
Fantastic course, fantastic condition
Great condition. A good test.
Beautiful and challenging golf course
Always in great shape, but not for beginners. This is a tough golf course with some unfair holes.
I have played here twice and enjoyed it immensely each time. It's out in the middle of nowhere but definitely worth the drive. It reminds me of Mystic golf course where you have to chose your landing spots.
Excellent course can't wait for spring
Well maintained, tough course. Distance and accuracy needed. Speed of play can be slow.
Nice Golf Course. Pleasant staff.
The course is beautiful and will laid out. Not a beginner's course. It is a challenging course with a ton of hazards, be prepared to lose a few balls. The only downside was the snobby attitude of the people running it and some of the golfers who were members. There's a sense of arrogance and douchiness radiating from them and supreme jealously. When you hit a great shot infront of them, it's more of a you don't belong here than a congratulations. Even though this is very much a public course.
A gem in BFE. From price to the course, all is outstanding. Worth spending the night near by and play multiple rounds!!!
Tough course but very fun. Each hole is different from the next making it a surprise around every turn. Lots of sand. Cannot believe how well maintained the tee boxes are.
A true hidden gem. One of the best courses around and my favorite one to play. Wouldn't recommend for beginners but a great track for the average to above average golfer.
(Translated) The most tricky golf course. As long as the green is early, there is nothing to say ???????? (Original) 最高にトリッキーなゴルフ場です。グリーンさえ早ければゆうことなし????????
Great staff
My favourite part of golf is the tee-off, and this course had lovely loooooong holes allowing me to use my big dog 18 times. Woot!
For the past three years my friend been asking me to drive for one hour and 40 min to play this course so I did yesterday and wow it was worth to drive. Very challenging and make you use the hole golf bag . There was few spots were under repair but you can’t blame the club for it since we have horrible weather so far . Service was good for drinks did not eat at the restaurant . I will drive again to play this course for sure.
Have played here a few times now. The course is great, the service for food has always been slow, but it is priced well and tastes good.
Great staff! Really friendly and very helpful
My favourite course to go to!
