Heard alot about Mystic and played it for the first time. Course was well manicured and one of the toughest tracks you'll ever encounter. Tougher than any of the Clublink courses I've played over the years.... Luckily, my playing partners had played it before so provided guidance in terms of direction and ball placement. We also all played well that day. This course will eat you alive if you aren't bringing your 'A' Game !! Whoever heard of a course with a par 6 ? A great experience overall and I will go back at some point. If you are looking for a fancy clubhouse, newer golf carts and staff that are overly friendly this course is not for you. If you are looking to find out just how good your game is, then Mystic is your place !!!

Mystic is a challenging and beautiful course. Unfortunately we were greeted by a crabby and rude staff member as we pulled up to pick up our golf bags. The women’s washroom is absolutely disgusting. Hasn’t been cleaned in months. We ended up having a great game and enjoying the lovely course.

Got there 20mins before our tee time, forced to stand in the extreme heat waiting for others to check in , that hadn't even arrived yet. Meanwhile random people were going in and getting drinks while we stood in the sun holding our clubs. Finally allowed to check in 10-minutes after out tee time. Not impressed!!! We started playing and the course was nice and definitely challenging. We were having a good time until the same Marshall who had us stand in the heat like criminals for 30mins came and started harassing us about cart placement. After the second time it was definitely irritating as we were only following cart tracks already established in the grass by prior golfers. On the 17th hole there was a different Marshall standing with his hands on his hips blocking our path to the 18th hole. He started harassing about these issues and talking about how pristine the course was, blah blah blah, like Tiger Woods was coming to play the course the next day. "I don't think he`ll be coming to checkout your mobile home club house buddy!" "Why don't you go blow the leaves off the green that was so covered we couldn't even putt, instead of harassing people who just spent $200.00 to play a round on your course. We just left after that and definitely won't be back. We will be spending our money elsewhere thanks.

The course is very nice. Playing in a natural setting is great. The employees here are ridiculous. As a beginner, mistakes will happen. Being berated by employees for one simple breach was ridiculous. Sure it is fine to hire retirees, but please make sure they have the simple decency not to berate paying customers for making simple mistakes. We were all beginners at one point.

Paid $75 @ 4:30 for a course that has been run down from poor course maintenance and too much traffic.. and the young lady/cashier/bartender was sooo ignorant.. not friendly.. looks like she didn't even want to be there..2 score is really generous.. course needs better management.. also no cart girls after 5 pm in 35 celsius.. what a joke

Course was nice and challenging, little expensive but hey gotta make up for lost revenue somehow I guess, biggest complaint are the Marshall's who are rude and berate the golfers for the smallest problem it'll be hard to want to come back and play if people are being treated poorly by the staff

Sunday August 3rd. Course is in Great shape. BUT we had a tee time at 8:20 and teed off 20 minutes late because they were already running behind. It was cart path only due to the rain the day before, but it was slow. Cart path only ended when we were on the 8th hole but it was crazy slow all round. A total of 5:15 to play 18 holes. No marshal out there. Playing that early in the day, you don't expect it to be that slow for a better course.

Great course, one of the best shaped courses I’ve played all year l. The issue here is the staff, the Marshalls are not controlling the flow of play at all 10 minute wait minimum on each tee box.the manger isn’t the nicest, they just try and jam as many players as possible on the course. Slow play here has happened twice out of three times playing here this year

One of the most difficult courses in the region with a number of long carry tee shots required to clear ravines. It's quite scenic and fun to play but make sure to bring your 'A' game....you'll need it.

Play early and your round will be quick. In terms of strictly the golf, the best value for money around - course is challenging, reasonably well maintained, and a lot of fun to play. Not much in terms of other amenities, but as long as you know that going in you won't be disappointed.

Course is 4+ stars, tough but playable, long and in good shape. Lots of different looks out there. Definitely not boring. The par 6 is a killer but awesome. With Covid i'm sure the course is getting beat up with all the extra golfers out there but the maintenance guys are doing a good job. I'll definitely be back but maybe afternoon when all the grumpy guys are napping.

Course could be great...I stress the word "could". Golf north has completely let this course fall apart and stripped it from it's full potential. The staff is grumpy and really give you the feeling they don't want to be there. Me and the boys sometimes book twilight rounds and they are more interested is telling us that they will lock the gate if we take too long rather than worrying about if we are having a good time. Good job on taking what could be a great course and doo-dooing all over it.

This course is beautiful and very challenging but we all had fun. One of our ladies parred the par 6 hole...yahoo Signage was poor and for a first timer here was confusing. We encountered a very rude grumpy staff member at bag drop. There are so many female friendly courses that to find one that is not was surprising. The ladies washroom was a disgrace, After reading the reviews about Mystic I now know why there were so many comments on rude staff. I doubt we will be back. Beautiful course though.

Decent course, conditions are avg. bunkers are poor… sprinklers on at 8PM on a Friday night in June, longest week of daylight is unacceptable. We drove in from Toronto to play a full 18, not 12 before sprinklers came on and ruined the round.

After reading the reviews I expected a near impossible course to play with miserable staff serving us. Neither was the case. The course certainly has some challenges but it was a very fair test. The tee decks, fairways bunkers and greens were all in terrific condition. The greens were a good speed and ran true. The staff were all polite and professional. The clubhouse was nothing to rave about but I don’t ever recall going to a course because the clubhouse was great. It was my first ever round at Mystic but it won’t be my last. I would rate it up with my list of preferred courses.

Course was in decent shape for October (big surprise given golf Norths reputation). My main beef is with some staff. On this day we were about to putt on the 18th. Mid putt a guy comes running outta the portable (clubhouse) and screams, yes screams, at us to move the cart (we had parked it 20 yd right of the green, well outta play but on the wrong side of the green) .....MID PUTT! Golf cards are lighter than lawn mowers, geesh. This seems to be a golf north thing. Power tripping marshalls who assume everyone is out to trash a course. Golf North: work on your customer service and flattening your tee blocks!

Very nice course . When you call they give you the impression that you can walk but you have to get & pay for a cart which you need one it's a very long course, then when we got to the 11 hole we were told to have the cart back by 800 pm there was 45 minutes of daylight left to play and we had to bail after the 13 hole this was not told to us when we payed for the round . I was impressed with the course but not impressed with the staff

Golfers beware! We didn't know the greens were aerated recently...no one said a word when we booked, when we paid or when we spoke with the starter. Putting was not possible. Wouldn't have made the trip had we known. The cart was in poor condition mechanically and it was not clean. The toilets were not looked after, was told "they're not in the best shape...were trying to keep the cost down for the members." We had 2 sausages...cold in the middle. The fairways were in good shape and the course is well laid out. Will not return.

Beautiful course you just have to hope it doesn't rain. Had a tee time at 4pm this passed saturday, rained between 2:00 and 3:30. Got to the course at 3:30, sun was out, no rain in the forecast the rest of the day, and they closed the course (citing drainage issues). Never sent an email to inform me the course was closed either. Luckily for me every other course in the area was still open so I played Flamborough Hills instead. Highly recommend Flamborough Hills!

Although I enjoy playing Mystic inevitably there is always some sort of fiasco that occurs during the golf experience. Last time, the cart broke down & we had to go thru the bureacratic central phone # to find a ranger...

Thank God for the beautiful course... It made up for the mean/bitter staff. The guys who work there needs to know it doesn't hurt to put a smile on every now and then. Especially when your the first persons of contact at the course. This goes to the starter and the pro shop guy. They made the first couple of holes unenjoyable because that was all I could think about... But the course made up for it. Great course with big challenging greens. Be ready to use all your clubs. Lots of options to play each shot. The 10th par 6 was really enjoyable. I'll give this place another go... But if the staff keeps up with the attitude then I rather give my money to a course that at respect their customers... Still makes me mad just thinking about them

Course is in rough shape - greens are slow, fuzzy, holes not cut crisply, sand traps are very poor - limited sand, not tended well, no cart service, clubhouse is a trailer combo/restaurant/pro shop - bathrooms were awful, only one working and the smell quite off-putting. We had under pars thankfully so only paid 2/$79 plus tax. Barely worth that!

This course is not for the novice or even a mid handicap player. 230 yard plus drives are a must. Alas I do not meet this requirement so I am going to save a lot of golf balls and play elsewhere.

Rates are getting out of control. Its a stretch driving that far to play then getting gouged for green fees. Not worth it anymore, I'm done with it. Bought a coupon last time, then after paying suddenly there are time restrictions. Enough already, ever hear of this thing called a pandemic, folks need a break not armed robbery at every turn.

Played today for the first time. It was certainly a strange experience. I had read some reveiws of the course and had been told some stories so I has some idea what to expect. Even so, I was still surprised by what an odd layout this. The first 8 holes are nothing special but from the 9th onwards it gets increasingly bizarre, with blind shots, holes with little or no definition and invisible landing areas. People say hole 10 is the craziest golf hole ever but I found 11 and 12 equally strange. It felt to me like whoever designed the course wanted to put as many gimmicks as possible into it. He succeeded. Lots of wear on the tee boxes, bunkers in absolutely terrible condition (they actually have a lift rake and place local rule !) greens very soft, shaggy and slow. This is a golf course that could be great with a little professional redesign and a lot of TLC. There’s is not lot of evidence of course maintenance. Club house is an unwelcoming, unairconditioned shack (it was 27 degrees today but we couldn’t sit outside because of the bees). Staff appeared to be in end of season mode. Not exactly unfriendly but more disinterested. I’ve done it, I won’t be rushing back.

Beautiful manicured fairways and greens. Tee boxes are great and very clean with plenty of grass. I heard bad reviews but believe me they are not true. One of the most beautiful courses I have ever played and believe me I played the best. Great course design for all levels of golfers. Can't wait to go back. Mark was a great host.

Good, challenging course. Not a lot of room for error, this course kicked my behind. Only downside is greens are very soft due to recent weather, making them full of ball marks and in rough shape. Will play again for sure.

Challenging course for the advanced golfer who wants to kill any confidence they have in their golf game. Jokes aside, we showed up for 5:10 pm twilight tee off time. Knowing we were already pressed for time, we got sent off after 5:30 pm. Told us the carts had to be in by 8:45 pm which is not a problem really.... however they turned the sprinklers on at 8:00 pm so we got soaked by their smelly pond water our final four holes. Oh yeah, and we didn’t get to finish the round since they sent us off 25 minutes late for a twilight round because they didn’t have enough available carts and it was backed up. Staff didn’t seem like the friendliest bunch either. Other than that though, lovely, well maintained, tough track. You guys can go fly a kite with that par 6 though.

If not...you will not enjoy your round.

Considering how much rain we have got lately, the course was in great shape for fall golf. However, on countless occasions (including today) a pro shop staff member was not welcoming or friendly at all and will be the reason I will not be returning. Very disappointing service.

To echo others, this course is in terrible shape. Dont go and waste $80 on a weekend round. The course is scorched both fairways and greens. The fairways were aerated recently further reducing playability. Played Sept 4. I've played a number of courses over the past few weeks and none could compare to how bad this is. The course itself is a challenging track - pick the right tees!

The layout of this course with the rolling hills and forced carries (15 in total) is second to none. Definitely 5 stars. The conditions, however, were bad. They need to water the course. I know we have had a dry and hot summer but this was in rough shape....cracks in the fairways; chunks of grass had broken off; many dry, burned spots. I played Rock Chapel Golf course (nearby Mystic) the week before and it was in way better shape than Mystic. Don't play this course now. Wait until fall when its cooler and the conditions are better. ********Played again recently and the course is in much better shape. Play it. It's challenging but beautiful. *********

Played October 23rd 2021. My main issue is that the greens were aerated if not the day before then a few days prior to my round and we still payed the full $95 price. I don't get it with golf in Ontario I'm getting tired of paying full price for 3/4 of the value. I'm a reasonable person and don't get upset very easy but this was so bad the ball wouldn't stay straight on your line and bounced all the way to the hole. I've never played greens that bad on courses that cost me $50. It was a very cold day so I went early to get a warm up in NOPE! Range closed for lessons (one person way at the end of the range getting a lesson yet the other 40 slots wide open lol) And I think the worse part of the whole experience is that they packed the tee sheet where times were only 8 min apart. 2 groups waiting on every tee block the whole round (at one point we had 5 groups on one par 5 hole) 6+ hour round lol my first ever in 20 years of golf. Guys in the group ahead of us would hit a ball in play (not the greatest shot but not terrible) and then would re-tee when they had two groups sitting there waiting marshals did nothing. This is supposed to be a top tier course in this area, they charge the price for one but the experience is lack luster. Play innerkip its price is more reasonable the course is always in perfect condition and they don't pack the tee sheet, I've been there when its full and only waited on one hole. I'll never come back here again.

Wonderful 23° weather on a beautiful November day. Fantastic course and excellent condition for an amazing round of golf. 1:40pm tee off time and managed to finish 17 holes. Upon arrival to the 18th tee, we were greeted by the general manager threatening to phone the police if we did not leave the course immediately due to sundown. At that point, we were minding our own business, and like all golfers in the world, were trying to finish the round. We acknowledged the fact that the sun was setting at 5:07pm and proceeded to the club house and accepted the fact that we couldn't play 18 holes. Unfortunately when you drive back to the parking lot, you cannot see the posted signs, that prohibit you from driving the power carts to the parking lot, to unload your golf clubs at your vehicle. Here is the part that is most concerning to this fellow Greg the "general manager" of this facility. I was unaware that he was following my cart back to the clubhouse, and I missed the sign because of poor lighting (sunset) and no electrical lighting to clearly make the sign visible. I proceeded past the sign and next thing you know, Greg the "general manager" hits me dead on the side of my power cart with his power cart to stop me from proceeding further. I have sustained an injury from this accident. Greg, this is physical assault, and you know what you did. Greg, by taking the time this evening to read the many negative reviews towards yourself, and the staff, you apparently "manage", I now understand the behaviour you displayed this evening. It is not my fault, nor anyone else's fault, that you don't enjoy your life or the situation you are in. You desperately need some sort of anger management or counseling to relieve the hate, you show to others. You need to be removed immediately from your position, before someone else experiences this behaviour at the Mystic G.C. or something far worse in the general public. Greg, help is just a phone call away.

Love the layout and feel of the course, however the condition of it was not acceptable. Burnt fairways and greens, the grass cutting left clumps all around most greens and there were sand traps that had not been tended to in a LONG time. A shame actually for such a beautiful course. Will try it again in the spring of 2017 and hope to see better.

Went today for first time with my underpar coupon. Did not play due to thunder, lightening and rain so cant comment on course. Club house is as terrible as i heard. Air was on but not working. No fan to move air around. Very warm and stuffy inside. No gatorade, no drinkable water( only water to buy), no cart girl on a hot humid day. Not impressed but will go back to play my prepaid round. Doubt i will be back.

Fun course. Golf rewards you for hitting straight and far and this course punishes those who can't do either. The clubhouse is basic. They installed dividers in the carts so you can ride with your friends. This is fantastic as I would absolutely hate walking this course. The par 6 10th hole is the hole people remember but the 9th hole is much more difficult. The back 9 is tough. Someone once told me to bring a bucket of balls to play at Mystic. They weren't wrong.

Lovely golf track. Lots of variety and challenge off the tee. Silver at 6069 was good test. The greens had been punched recently and very slow on some greens. A test of endurance to finish 18 strong. Nice play for a change of pace from a normal course.

The course is in great shape but the gold/silver combo should be revised. I play it at a 6406 yd combo instead of the card recommended combo of 6398 yds and find it much more playable.

The course was in good condition and our groups (8 women) found it challenging. Negatives were filthy condition of the ladies bathroom, no Marshalls on the course, some confusing signage and the cart/bag drop was very disorganized and overseen by a rude staff member. He made a lousy first impression, not sure we will return.
