To this day this business receives a rating of 4.2 stars out of 5 and this rating has been based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, it has an average rating is very positive, and it's founded on a large number of scores, so we can conclude that the valuation is very reliable. If there are many people who bothered to give their feddback when they've done well with the service, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to give feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Golf corresponds to the category of Public golf course.
Good course Good prices Staff is friendly or unfriendly depending on who's working that day
The course was in good condition for a municipal course. The fairways are open and forgiving for the most part, but the greens are tremulous. Remember, the ball always rolls AWAY from the escarpment. Alot of elevated tee decks for good views.
The food was great! Fun pit stop along the Chedoke trail of you are hungry!
Amazing place for walks
Great for walking and seeing geese.
Nice, well maintained public coarse, reasonably priced. Great location.
Terrible customer service. A lady racially profiled me and proceeded to yell at me for holding up other people without even asking if I was with the group she was yelling about. Ruined my entire time there. Actual course was okay but I don't understand why they would employ such a negative person for such a mentally involvwd sport. Would not return again.
Close to home
Lovely place all year round. Not just for golf but also an excellent place for walks on the trail or running up and down the escarpment steps. Very scenic all in every season. Lots of parking, a true Hamilton gem.
Well organized, trouble free round of golf. Greens in good shape, with fairways, first and second cuts easily playable. Tee boxes need some TLC on some holes. Not a bad track for a civic course.
good golf
Just walking the Bruce trail through it
Great course in city, amenities a bit weak
Nice civic course. Tee blocks are a mess right now though. Would be nice if they considered moving them.
Lovely trails and views (Bruce trail and radial trail )
Gorgeous golf courses, great trails for walkers.
Very relaxed setting, with a beautiful view from almost every corner of the course. A serene drive to the course and lot. Many people walking around the lot as well as people dog walking and riding bikes as there are trails all throughout the area so please drive with caution.
This is a nice course.
Lovely place all year round. Not just for golf but also an excellent place for walks on the trail or running up and down the escarpment steps.
Great trails (part of the Bruce Trail network), free parking with spots always available.
Wonderful setting ...owned by the city ... well kept....funded by taxpayer enjoyed by few!
Nice location. Not the most challenging course out there, but I'm not reviewing the difficulty of the course. I choose to focus on the staff and how accomadating they were. Friendly folks. Aswell kept great shape of the course
Drainage stinks in some areas
For a public course it was very well maintained. Challenging greens and fairways. The Martin is a fun course.
Beautiful golf course .
Best place to play golf in Hamilton. I love it here.
Nice place to relax and have drink even if you don't play golf
Nicely groomed course. Have to work for pars
It will make you feel like Heaven
Nice enough golf course and fairly challenging but the tee boxes need a lot of work
Awesome for a public course
Nice place.
Cheap and well maintained.
We liked this course a lot but some of the holes were confusing to find depending on what course you are playing. The flow of the holes isn't always what you would expect. Have been here many times and never seen a beverage cart though.
Golf course in good shape restaurant much better service and food good
One of my favourites! Greens are a little slow this year. I have played the Beddoe course 6 times this season, and have enjoyed it each time, just hit your putts firm!!
Worst conditions of any golf course I've played this year. The greens were spongy, tee blocks muddy, and no fairway / rough to speak of. Not to mention our foursome got told to move faster on a day with nowhere to go infront of us, as there were two twosomes behind us - they should have been paired together to keep the pace of play up. Will never be back.
Corse is in great shape! Beer girls could be around more
Corse is in great shape! Beer girls could be around more
Decent track.
Really nice
Good golfing and great staff make this a favorite course. Martin course is a good challenge and the Beddoe course is scenic and a bit more interesting.
Haven't played the Martin course and thought I never would. It's way too hilly and usually not in very good shape, my opinion is that it is a waste of time and money. Played the Beddoe which is the better more challenging of the two but it needs a lot of to work to bring it up to snuff. The tee blocks are terrible the fairways not too bad and the greens could be a lot better. They are too firm and slow.
Truly peaceful
First time playing at Chedoke. The Beddoe course is challenging. Lots of up and down, no water to speak of. Greens and fairways is decent shape. Very few distance markers on the course which is disappointing. Reasonable prices and friendly staff. Cart paths need improvement. Good municipal course.
Fantastic trail and 280 steps for the more adventurous
Fantastic trail and 280 steps for the more adventurous
Busy golf course. Good value for the money. Tough to walk because of hill/wind. But overall Good value!
Great place to walk, run, or ride. Parking is located at the top and bottom of the Chedoke stairs.
Amazing ...even in winter or summer
Decent golf course. Tough greens. Shot placement is key
Busy but much fun and if you cant stand from drinking simply cart yourself to your car.( intended as a joke. Dont drink and drive and dont steal any more carts people.)
Great courses ... excellent covid measures to play safely
Really nice layout for a public course (the Beddoe, not the Martin) could be kept up better but for the money its a great course.
Such a great, beautiful and well maintained course. The only thing stopping me from giving this facility a 5 star review is the terribly miserable staff inside the proshop. When walking in I was not greeting by not one but 3 staff members sitting inside behind the cash registers. Instead of not greeting me they instead decided to prentend I did not exist and stared blankly at the wall behind me. Never have I ever witnessed such blatant disrespect and disregard to customer service not only at a golf club but in the city of Hamilton. I'm seriously hoping that they receive some training in that aspect. Please note I am a visible minority and it was hard not to think that I was being treated as such because the colour of my skin but hopefully I don't think that is the case because they were also very rude and short on the phone. Great course tho.
Nice spot
Beautiful grounds. Also great to park and go for a hike!
Nice course with decent green fees, holes are very close together in some parts so watch that slice lol.
(Translated) A golf course where you can go often with comfortable people (Original) 편한 사람들과 자주가도 좋을 골프장
Usually chedoke is great but we got in behind a golf tournament. Not good.
Nice green space, walking rail trail, and hilly golf course
Start time was delayed by a half hour due to confusion between starters and pro shop. Very disorganized. Let two single players tee off followed by a twosome ahead of our foursome. Course in okay shape. Greens were somewhat fast but overall in good shape. I ranked it 3 stars for now but could easily be 5 stars with better organization for start times and some TLC spent on the fairways. Cost wise it's a good value.
Nice place...
The course is in good condition but the pro shop staff appear to be making up rules that aren't shared or documented for public knowledge as it relates to power cart rentals. One guy at the pro shop refused to let us rent power carts. For a course that's built on the side of a hill it's a difficult task to walk the course for 4.5 hours carrying a golf bag midday in plus 32c summer heat. The explanation the pro shop gave for refusing to provide power carts to us was that patrons have to pay for their rounds online prior to arriving at the course to reserve a power cart. I reserved my tee time online a week prior to arriving at the course. He said that once the online payment has been secured in advance that the course will reserve a cart for the tee time that patrons reserve. If the course has a shortage of carts on a given day, then their management team needs to find a way to resolve the issue of having a shortage of rental carts without making it an issue for golfers who are trying to play a round of golf. On the other hand, there are a few marshals and starters at the course that are doing great work. Just don't expect to experience their great work consistently over the course of your time there.
I had a good meal at the Lancaster Restaurant. I will go again !
Beautiful views and great course.
The course was in as good a condition as the wet weather would allow, but the rough was so thick that any ball slightly off line took far to long to find.
Good golf for a reasonable price. I played the Martin 18. Not overly challenging but it was good for me!
This was the first time back here in years and I was pleasantly surprised. The Beddoe course was a good challenge and in overall great shape. The greens were probably the slowest greens I've seen in forever and took some getting used to but it was a great day and at a price that was very affordable for both golf, food and beverage. We'll be back!
Grass very long today...lots of lost balls. But love the scenery and hood greens.
The course was challenging and hilly but the staff are terrible. We'd booked ahead for a tourney yet they dropped the ball on organizing it. Not enough carts, no pins ready for closest to pin and longest drive. Just a terrible experience. We will not be going back here.

Beautiful landscape in the middle of the city. Good toboggan hill in winter. Ample free parking. Walking trail goes through here, great set of stairs near the club house to get yourself and a bike to the top of the mountain and to another park with views of the waterfall and the city's west end. The parking area and its surrounding mountain side and East end seem drab, empty. The East end seems almost as if it's a dumping ground for earth from building sites. Fantastic views of the city from various places on the golf course.
I go here to climb up the chedoke stairs up the mountain and get quick workout. Nice place with lot of nice people involved in fitness. Chedoke trail well maintained during summer.
Such quiet and peace to play golf
house resturant....good food and reasonable prices
I would like to complain about the treatment I received on checking in with a prepaid GolfNow reservation in the pro shop. Having paid the total reservation in advance, I was reminded by GolfNow that I had to be there on time and could not proceed earlier or later than my allotted tee time. On arrival, my guest and I were almost refused the right to play because we didn't have the GolfNow confirmation sheet. The golf shop did us a big favour by letting us play, but we won't be back for quite a while, thank you very much! Keith Flexman, Tee Time 11:57 AM Wednesday, August 3rd, 2016
Great round of golf ! Course in good condition better then moar spring seasons past! Rough was very long lots of lost balls nothing you could do !
Great round of golf ! Course in good condition better then moar spring seasons past! Rough was very long lots of lost balls nothing you could do !
Tee blocks are the worst I’ve ever seen. Rough is never cut. Prices are too high. Don’t waste your money here.
Hamilton's best kept secret for golf
Been here many times. Martin course more open, Bedoe is tighter and hilly. No Jeans rule seems a Little excessive for a public course
It's awesome!!
Good course, great price, friendly staff
If you can walk this course, youre in great shape. Looking forward to the next round.
It's quiet. They leave you alone which is nice. I go there to be terrible at golf in peace.
Nice place to go for a walk/run if you don't play golf
Decent golf course. Tough greens. Shot placement is key
Great course, challenging, scenic with golf carts that were well maintained. I will return. Enjoyed the 19th hole.
Don't waste your time on this course. It's absolutely terrible. No yardage markers anywhere. Holes are so close together, balls are flying all over the place. Fairways are pretty much burnt. No Marshall's to be found. Pace of play is dreadful as you wait for long periods of time every single shot. 3 hours to play 9 holes. We decided to leave after 9. The Lady in the proshop was the nastiest person I've been around ever. Just a bunch of rude people running this club. Management needs to clean house starting at the top. Trust me, play somewhere else. Anywhere else.
Busy but much fun and if you cant stand from drinking simply cart yourself to your car.( intended as a joke. Dont drink and drive and dont steal any more carts people.)
The rough looks like grandma's back yard. At least deweed so that we can find our balls. Also got mad at my buddy for not wearing a collared shirt on his first round ever. When you put some effort into the grounds keeping, we will wear collared shirts. Otherwise you're a pitch and putt
Two 18's here. Reasonably well kept. Buy tickets through Underpar before the season starts. You get a great price.
Very nice golf course, see lots of kids sledding here in the winter, hills look pretty awesome.
Well layed out and relatively challenging.
Played @ Beddoe. It's a good course and condition. But the cart path need fix their are lots bumpy.
Good prices and great course, nice rough and fairways and good greens. Highly recommend for all levels of skill
Balls of this golf club are a bit small.
Great for walking your dog in the winter when golfers aren't using the grounds
Great place to walk through. Would love to try out the restaurant here. There is a set of stairs that takes you right up the mountain.
View is amazing, great place to tee off or do some trails.
First time playing. Ranger was friendly and provided some history and advice off the 1st tee. Great scenery. Glad we had a cart but walking would be great exercise.
This is a great place for golfing but I usually there for running and climbing stairs and and I enjoy the natural atmosphere.
Disappointing. I was a member here in 2000-2002. The course and facilities are extremely tired looking. Most of the tee boxes were a mess, the cart paths are a major safety concern due to crumbling/cracking and there was debris littered throughout the playing areas. Most of the sand traps are unplayable. The yardage markers in the fairway are too difficult to see. The City of Hamilton has really dropped the ball here. For $72 there is zero value based on the disgraceful conditions. Sad. This course will be closed within the next few years if this type of neglect continues. The City of Hamilton has no business running this course any longer.
Nice place to walk the dog.
Excellent view and best for walk, jogging and biking.
Good food, great service
In a snowy winter day whole golf club turns into a winter wonderland. You can simply go for a walk or walk your dog.
The clubhouse has seen better days but apparently the course is one the scenic in the area to swing at a ball!
Cold today .
City of Hamilton shows there glaring lack of creativity and innovation with how this course isrun during Covid. To be fair course and greens are in fair shape but NO Marshall's on course overrun with new golfers yet there is more staff hanging around club house not doing anything. Pretty disappointing
Nice course. The geese are friendly enough to let you play your ball if it goes near them.
Great public course
Good place
Maybe if it was dry it would've been better to play . Very muddy and wet . Layout was nice .
Absolutely beautiful and peaceful.. easily accessible to the public.
Nice place to go for a walk/run if you don't play golf
Very clean well kept. Parking lot gets busy with all the people parking to walk the trails.
The Chedoke Golf Course offers two different courses in the same location. What's better than that? If you're a casual golfer or if you're serious this is a place for you.
Scenic course, very hilly. Check GolfNow for a good deal with cart!
Great trails and scenic
Nice simple course, but the greens need more attention
Been here many times. Martin course more open, Bedoe is tighter and hilly. No Jeans rule seems a Little excessive for a public course
Bedoe course is a great layout, Martin not so much. Inexpensive. Good food in the clubhouse. Clubhouse is dated but view from patio is great.
Could use a coat of paint and fleshing up. Looks dated, old.
Are you ready for golf
Decent municipal club. Not too challenging.
Great time on the course. The gentleman we paired up with were ????
Would get 4 stars if it weren't for snarky pro shop staff. Typical of golf courses that aren't 5 star sorry to say.
Great
Would go again
This was the first time back here in years and I was pleasantly surprised. The Beddoe course was a good challenge and in overall great shape. The greens were probably the slowest greens I've seen in forever
Grounds need maintenance and they seemed to be understaffed on a long weekend or there is enough staff but not enough people coming out to actually work.
Interesting and hilly greens with beautiful views.
Ale Good enjoy
We had our daughters engagement party at the Lancaster Eatery on the golf course. Wonderful night, great staff and delicious food. Thanks to all
Small old short city course 5.5 hours to play. Weird layout.

The golf course is so beautiful. It is also near to Chedoke trail.
Excellent price and well worth the cost for the 9 holes played on Martin. Looks easy until you realize it is littered with mounds which makes it a challenge. Bit of advice; check the ego at the door and treat it as a learning experience. Will definitely be out again.
Good course. Fairly priced.
Great course and price.
Fair course for it's price, great for beginners or those who don't care about the final score ????
Great course. Wish the snack bar was open at 9 am for coffee before the 10th. Challenging course
Amazing courses, I highly recommend them.
Large golf course - of nearby trails and scenic areas
I started a hike from there
Best Civic Golf course in Southern Ontario Not one , but TWO 18 hole courses and an incredible retro Clubhouse that gives players that ole nostalgic "Golden Era" feel. Complimented by amazing staff and incredible food If all that fails you There is ICE COLD BEERz
Love this course, always in good shape, beddoe is a nice challenge
This place is situated in one of the green spots in Hamilton. On two sides there are scenic trails and on the front there is a chedoke golf club with this restaurant named Lancaster eatery. I tried their tacos which were good but the service wasn't good at all, but not a bad place to sit and have beer after a hike
Beautiful golf course
Decent municipal course. Hard to find balls because rough was deep, expected for a city track.
Challenging course...A pleasure to golf When they keep the ruff To a minimum so you don't lose tons of balls. Slow on weekends 4 hour minimum.
Great place for trails and a light bite to eat
I wasn't there. My work is next door ....
AWESOME PLACE TO GOLF. BOTH OF THE COURSES ARE VERY WELL MAINTAINED AND IT'S WORTH THE PRICE FOR BOTH COURSES
Great area to watch the sunset on summer evenings. Quiet area and a great landscape.
Had a blast seeing the falls with friends such a truely beautiful day for a hike with pals
Feels a bit small with the occasional golf ball flying onto the 403. It's at the bottom of a big hill.
I like hike there and take pictures and ride my bike and go down the stairs it's a nice its convenient because there is a washroom there in the restaurant bar and grill I think it's called
Filming site
I love that the walkways are cleared and open for use in winter.
nice walk in Nature to disconnect
Fantastically close to downtown. Decent course, relatively well cared for.
The trail is really nice, other then it not being cleared for strollers with this weather. The little waterfall is weak. The photo is taken up lose but in person its not like that.
I don't go there for the golf experience, I go for the most amazing hike on the Bruce trail and to climb the escarpment stairs (two different climbs, Dundurn and Chedoke). Fantastic!!
Fairly well-kept course and a nice variation of challenging holes. Only downside was the overly pushy course marshal who was telling us about our pace on the second hole. He also was offering swing tips to one member of our group, and ultimately slowed us down in the end. Very unprofessional and disruptive.

Beautiful views, especially at this time of year with the fall foliage. Unfortunately the food/beverage cart was not operating and the speed of play very slow due to the foursome two in front of us.
Challenging and beautiful courses. Also a great place for running!
its very good for a walk, there are stairs that you can use for workouts, trail which leads to few falls. The trail, towards the right side of the stairs leads to Bruce Peninsular and towards the left, it leads to Niagara falls.
Had not played at either course for at least 20 years. I had gone on Golf Now to book a tee time for my daughter and myself. Greens were very good for a municipal course. Quite a hilly course given the location against the escarpment. Pricing is very fair and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Recommended.
Martin awesome course and great with the covid procedures
Beautiful open space for walking!
Amazing ...even in winter or summer
Great little club house resturant....good food and reasonable prices
Rangers are overbearing
Great trails
Nice
Horrible customer service, workers rather piss off paying customers than maintain property. Want to go golfing where they hire ignorant people who love to piss off customers perfect place.
Nice golf course. We go there to do the stairs to keep I shape. Hard work climbing those stairs. Love it
All ways in good shape, missed out on a hole in one today after the shower passed through on the 13th about 163 yards out,
Course was in okay condition, tee boxes were quite beat up and the greens had tones of divots. Was a great place for the price. (Bedoe)
Nice area to walk and golf very scenic
Terrible customer service the minute we arrived. The staff seemed very unhappy to have us as customers they rushed us through check-in where we then proceeded to play 18 holes on a dried out course where the fairways are so long that you’re losing your balls in them. Overall not a pleasant experience and if you can I would recommend spending your money elsewhere
Amazing golf course right in the City, minutes to downtown restaurants!!
Amazing golf course right in the City, minutes to downtown restaurants!!
Nice course, great rate. Martin side is pretty straight and open. Nothing to extremely challenging. Haven't played the other course yet.
Over priced for the condition, carts are horrible no wind screen no club cover's. I won't be back.
Beautiful and scenic place to walk around for exercise.
I have recently played both golf course here. The maintenance crew don't do an even job of taking care of both courses evenly. The Martin course is NOT well maintained, tee boxes are not well maintained vs Bedoke... I gave it a 5 star because of the service and friendliness of the staff.
Nice grounds
Great municipal track. Greens were in fantastic shape. Didn't hit any fairways so can't comment on that.
Just hiked around the course but it looks beautiful.
Challenging Course. GOOD views. Great food ... I will go back.
Very peaceful and long trails
Great course, very well kept. Needs a little more signage and updates on some paths.
What a beauty. Playable and challenging.
This place is One of a kind
Fantastic place for a cross-country ski in the wintertime!! Lots of space and rolling terrain. I expect it's good for ball golf too...
Fair course for it's price, great for beginners or those who don't care about the final score ????
Great place for family entertainment
Nice courses, 2 available. Naturally swing except for being beside the highway. Good trails behind it and stairs to climb up the mountain.
Was alot tougher then l thought
Nice place for a walk, breathe some fresh air and enjoy beautiful views. Nice spot for toboggan in the winter.
Overcomes duct ish own lab mic bowing Izumi cyborg
Fun course
We really enjoy this area, especially after a beautiful snow in a sunny day, when you can see all the families having fun over there.
We park here in the wintertime to run the stairs. Great location!
Great Staffing! Even during the off season, the staff still serves great food to the healthy folks climbing up and down the stairs! Nice!
Great course, beer carts were always around, friendly service. No complaints
Sun was shining, could have been at work. Excellent day with my cousin.
Nice course for a muni, but a little worse for wear. A challenge for good and new golfers.
Reasonable price for a round of golf. Good long drives needed here
Great value for a round of golf. There could be better markings to make it easier to find the holes and distances but for the price it is tough to beat.
Drainage stinks in some areas but awesome course.
Been playing here as long as I've been golfing. Love the elevations and mature trees. It's not easy to find municipal courses of this quality, and hamilton has a few.
Horrible golf course. The conditions of the course are terrible, pace of play is slow and takes forever to complete a round. Marshall’s are non existent. I have gone on multiple occasions and every time it’s been a bad experience on both Beddoe and Martin courses. I will not be going again and do not recommend to others.
Fyi sledding is only permitted at the small hill near the 1st hole.everywhere else (ie. the fun spots) is BANNED
Have now played the Martin course a few times. This is a gem on a sunny day, with variety in the terrain and challenges. When the breeze comes off the escarpment it makes for great downhill opportunities. Staff friendly and helpful. Greens are a bit scrubby, but I plan to visit to play Beddoe shortly. The setting for these courses is spectacular.
I have played twice at this course and I can say I am not really happy with how this course is run. First round I played with a group of 10 people (3 back to back tee times) we were playing best ball as we had some new golfers and the first group received grief from the marshals to speed up because my group were on their trail. Even after explaining we were all together and there was nobody waiting to play through after our group the marshal was still extremely rude. I played another round today and the course was pretty wet so understandable that there were no power carts. But to our surprise they also did not have any functioning push/pull carts available so we had to carry our bags. While in the pro shop the guy who was also very rude and was annoyed people were requesting pull carts, I could see in the garage area they had maybe 10 pull carts but I guess they were all busted. There is more that happened today, my buddy slipped on a wet spot (he's okay) but he called the pro shop to inform them of the spot as we both walked over and it did not appear to be slippery. They did not seem to care whatsoever, not a "are you okay". I probably will not come back to this course mostly due to some of the staff and their poor attitude and lack of care for the golfers that come through.
It is not a bad place to golf. It is very reasonable within the city close to downtown Hamilton.
Decent course. Gota steal on golfnow for $18 for 18 holes, then an additional $18 per person for the cart. I would say I'm very glad we had a cart. I think it would be a long 18 to walk. The course is well maintained and the fairways are wide and open, but very ondulating, yes the fairways. Friendly staff. Facilities are in need of an upgrade, but it's a municipal course, so...
Really enjoy this golf course which offers 2 great courses. We have even watched the odd deer wander across the fairway!
Tobogganing hills are a lot of fun. Good parking but no facilities.
Rain Rain Rain..challenging!!
Great course ro play if you are a decent golfer and good value for the money.
Very beautiful course with super friendly staff. Sammie the drink cart driver checked in with my friends & I multiple times during our 18 holes, and even offered to take pictures for us!
Great Municipal Track
beautiful day to play along the escarpment for gorgeous vistas and challenging holes..
Nice courses good value
Convenient, challenging (Bedoe), affordable in town golf
Convenient, challenging (Bedoe), affordable in town golf
Great tobogganing, lots of parking in the lot at the top of the hill. Don't park on the road, could get a ticket.
First time visit to this City of Hamilton run course close the highway. Old Course, poor conditions and terrible staff. The fairways are dry and unkept, but the greens are ok. The greens staff are rude and have a poor customer service attitude. The food and beverage staff on the other hand are friendly enough, but have no interest in really providing service to customers. Hard to get food on the course and suggest bring your own food instead. Perhaps if this City run course were to be run by a private company it would improve. Otherwise, not worth the trip to Hamilton, and definitely not worth the cost of the course even though it is cheap.
Best place. Loved it.
Courses are in great condition.
Nice course. Not too hard. Not too easy.
Would not recommend for newer golfers like myself as it feels very tight and narrow. It was pretty packed and had to call out Four many times becuase of how close other golfers were on other holes, also came very close to getting hit from other golfers on other holes for this same reason.
Nice courses to hack around on.
Very nice course
The coarse was in very good shape and was resonable priced
Great course but they should put even a piece of wood painted red and white for yardage
Don't tell anyone but it's a great place to take your dog for a walk when golf season is closed.
This is amazing club . Great location.
Haven't golfed there but the trails around are very nice. And there is a set of stairs very popular for workouts.

Great golf course great people
Great golf course great people
Never disappointed! Usually a slower game if you're into that. But staff is great and price is fair. They Should have a cart girl driving around!
Nice challenging course for public course
Great place to take your kids to go tobogganing.
Played the Martin course for the first time. Incredible upkeep throughout the entire 18 holes. Incredible.
Good muni golf course. Martin and Beddoe offer golfers and non golfers two distinct courses to enjoy the game. Greens are in good condition, and both courses offer good experience for a good price.
Beautiful area. Great for walking or taking your dog. Looks popular for golf players. Has a great restaurant at the top. Not fancy though great views and food.
Went to tobogganing down a some small and very large hills with my girlfriend. Broke my toboggan. 10/10 would go again.
Great golf value, especially the twilight deal. I see wildlife every round, including deer. Good upkeep. Good deals from time to time in pro shop.
I always go there for hiking or biking. There got some small trail its perfect for AM. There also got one beautiful waterfalls. Worth pay a visit.
reasonably priced, and local for hamiltonians. very tough to play with no yardage markers anywhere, its a guessing game out there unless you have an accurate app. Seems it would be easy to put some markers in and leave them for the summer, so must be poor management
Don't waste your money on this course in 2020. The rough is way overdue for a cut and the bunkers haven't been raked this year. No yard markers anywhere on the course and yet they're still charging premium price. You're better off spending the same money at a better kept course elsewhere
Wow, winter golf, during a pandemic lockdown? How is winter golf essential? No rules being enforced at chedoke golf course. A group of 8 guys on the course huddled together drinking beer and smoking, they were close enough to the road we could see they did not have masks. We stopped and they put their beers in their coats. Same in the crowded parking lot.. a group of people standing together no masks, saying hi it's been a long time and hugging. It definately opens my eyes to why our numbers are up. They should closed and still have the barricades up at the bottom of the hill. I was there to do the stairs, but they were way too crowded to do it safely.
Lunch on the patio a Lancaster. Just great! Next week the fall scenery will be even more brilliant. A hidden gem.
Inexpensive
(Translated) The lawn is generally well maintained. There is no distance sign to the green. it was a little easy (Original) 대체로 잔디관리가 잘돼있다. 그린과거리표시가전혀없어 조금아쉬웠다.
Course itself is alright, decent greens and well kept fairways for a city course. However when paired with the fact that there are hiking trails that go right through the course makes it a poor experience. We got yelled at by bikers for teeing off as they bulleted by. You will also have to drive your carts on the same path as hikers/families who will get mad at you. To top it all off I also got a parking ticket for parking on the grass (city property) and the parking lot is always full.
Beautiful conservation area with lots of trails. We did the main loop and the Griffin house with 2 light weight strollers. The uphill was difficult to push the strollers up but doable. We made it throughout the hike with the strollers and there were other parents too with strollers. Definitely kids friendly and lots of view points to stop and take pictures. The entry fee is lower than other conservation areas As well. Highly recommended.
Highly recommend going here for a walk and even doing the Chedoke stairs. A great way to get outside and enjoy this lovely part of Hamilton.
played the Martin course. great value especially for seniors. course condition was above average for a civic course. greens are better than average.
Decent municipal golf course, but rough was way too long and it took almost 5&1/2 hours to play
I just go here to run the stairs so 5/5 for being cool with it
Nice little course
Staff was helpful with new sd rules. Course was groomed very well. Really enjoyable round of golf.
It was awesome. Winter golf is a blast .course marshal was great
The fact that it’s open in January earns it a 5 star for me and the course is beautiful
Great golf course! Staff were all happy and friendly. Fairways are very close together so your drives need to be straight
Great radial trail above the course with escarpment stairs
Never been there before
I don't golf but it is also a base for hiking and biking trails. Washrooms are always clean and prices at take out counter are reasonable. Staff are very friendly and professional. Can be busy at times but grounds are well taken care of. Plenty of parking.
Lovey Chedoke Gulf Course; wonderfull Chedoke Creek with hidden areas full of greenery plus waterfalls! We visited 2 years ago I was walking with my walking poles & we stopped by an area that the Chedoke Creek water stood still looked muddy & had a terrible smell! Maybe what we're smelling was already sewer problems caused by Sewergate left open for nearly years! Shame to our Mayor & the Councillors at Hamilton City Hall!
Course needs many repairs. Poor drainage. Sad that a public course is in this shape.
Staff are great and the golf course is amazing.
Needs water, course is rock hard and dry. Still a nice layout price is decent. Greens are hard to hold had to land on the front and hope for the best. Will go back only after some good rain.
Public Course .Great test of golf. Played the B with some scratch golfers no very low scoring not long but must be accurate to score Brian Langley
Course was great.
First time playing it. played martin. Well kept. Challenging and easy at the same time. Fun overall
Greens very slow.
Great patio, delicious food.
Poorly maintained, golf balls lost in the fringe as it was over 2ft high in some spaces. Was much better last year. Shame, because it used to be a gorgeous, tough course to play (Beddoe).
Beautiful place to walk or play a round!
Director of golf Mark is the rudest person I have ever met, would never return to play and he should be fired. Played in the RBC event and he was so rude to everyone.....not a professional in any way shape or form.
Nice course
Very nice well maintained
Beautiful course. Well worth the money. Definitely recommend playing this course
Great course. Really well maintained!! Greens are in excellent condition.
Ok place nice and clean
Good courses very reasonable green fees
Great time here !
Nice golf course but the club house needs a complete redo.
Nice place, well kept. Need a few more signs to show where to go hole to hole
What a fun golf course...lots of blind shots and if you keep your ball in the fairway you will save yourself a lot of time as the course has a forest of trees on most holes..conditions are a bit rough right now but the course offers some fabulous views from tee off through to the last hole..#15 is an amazing hole and is worth the cost all on its own
Must visit
Would b better if washrooms were open
Fairways were nice some of the greens were dry and patchy. 2nd time here this year on the Bedoe course.
Solid back 9 on the bedio course
Just played the Bedoe,My hats off to the Grounds crew. The best I have ever seen that coarse.Ruff was a bit high but the greens were very nice.Great Job
The food was great! Fun pit stop along the Chedoke trail
Chedoke golf is great. They have two courses nestled against the escarpment. They are both nice. Courses and reasonable rates
Good bang for the dollar !
Lots of parking
Nice track for a municipal course. It's got history and is more than 100 years old. The staff do a great job with limited resources. The Martin course has a lot of tough greens and tough lies, it's deceiving. The Bedoe course is more scenic and the lies and greens are friendlier, but, it isn't easier than the Martin. Emerald Ash Borer has killed a lot of trees that will be cut down this fall. It will change the course substantially.
A great municipal course. Beddoe is much more fun than the Martin course. Several challenging and interesting holes playing on the side of the escarpment. Anyone who is a fan of Stanley Thompson should play this track of his!!
Great challenging course for someone of my skill level. Well maintained tee boxes, fairways and greens. There are a few on-course snack and refreshment stands. Power carts are also well maintained. Very picturesque and quiet with decent elevations.
How do you not love this course? Beautiful scenery ,great price and the most friendliest staff, sure some days it's a long round of golf but if you are a beginner it doesn't get any better than this.
We played here on Monday the course was very dry and is in need of upgrade specially Martin side.
Great place to eat
Pace was great. Greens we're ok. People need to fix their divots. $29 to walk is pretty good tho. Tough course to walk. Pretty much climbing up and down the escarpment all round.
Great public golf course. A gem for the city of Hamilton
Started off the day pressured to go 15 minutes early because the people behind weren’t ready. Golfed with two of my buddies. Around hole 9 after getting an EXPENSIVE hot dog and an EXPENSIVE Gatorade. One of the workers comes up to tell us to play quicker and to hurry up because there’s two open times in front of us. Bare in mind. We haven’t seen anyone in front of us the next three holes. And the people behind us were two holes away. The worker then continues to stare at us golf ensuring, what, that we’re actually playing golf?? We aren’t the best golfers but certainly not the worst. He stalked us the back nine which added a lot of pressure and discomfort for the rest of our game. I did not pay nearly 70$ just to be harassed while playing golf. Other than that the course was well maintained and holes are challenging but not too challenging. Definitely will play again as it’s one of the nicer courses in Hamilton. But Hopefully no babysitter will be watching us every hole next time.
Can't beat the price, I love the Beddoe course. Not the most stunning course I've ever played but the best value for money for sure.
Great course... very uphill and down hill thru the walking trails and mountains in Hamilton. Played the course 3 times this season.
Lovely place for a fresh morning or evening walk
Lovely place for a fresh morning or evening walk
Had a good time
A little rough around the edges. For a good deal it is not bad.
The course is in great shape. Tee boxes could use a little work but otherwise excellent. Can't beat the price.
Beddoe is in great shape! Covid protocols seem tight
Your choice of 2 courses. Beddoe is slightly better and easier to walk. Martin is easier to play and cheaper.
Pleasantly surprised beautiful course. Definitely would return
Very nice golf course
Great course. Will play here again for sure. Good prices as well.
Better direction signs are needed to get to the course. Very busy on a Sunday afternoon waiting on every shot. Fun course to play with elevation changes guaranteed by the proximity to the Niagara Escarpment.
Rude and obnoxious city staff in the pro shop, that could care less about paying customers.
City run golf fun for the average golfer
Value for the money. Suitable for the social golfer handicap 14+
Good municipal course. Good value for the money
Underutilized gem.
Had a great time today - great bang foe your buck!
Played the martin course - just the front 9. 2.5 hours from a 3:30 tee time at twilight rate - not bad! It was in good condition - great condition for a public course. Good variety of holes but some long uphills and long par 3’s. The front is much longer than the back. Some long downhills too though where you can look like Dustin Johnson off the tee. Patio open, lots of seats, low key. Organized but low key. Easy to get to off highway. Drive on through nice leafy area.
Great public course, nice and hilly but still good for a not-so-great golfer! Beautiful property in all seasons! Enjoy a walk on a snowy day along the edge of the Escarpment!
Great Course Great Value
Great area for sledding with the kids. Watch out for getting a parking ticket though. The parking lot gets packed so people park on the side of the road but we saw someone handing out parking tickets. Pretty sad.
