We visited for winter golf, after visiting the course in the summer. What an exhilarating experience and a cool concept to be able to golf in the winter. So much fun! We had a perfect winter day, playing golf, drinking hot cocoa and enjoying the firepit. The new management is doing an amazing job at making this place better and better every time I visit. Very friendly!

Great practice course for your short game. My fourth time there and course conditions are getting better every time. Owners are very friendly. 12 holes instead of 9 for $20. Can’t beat that. Was even given a coupon for $10 dollars off. Will be back, still need work on my short game.

Buncrana Gold Course was a wonderful experience. Even during the winter months they offer golfing by appointment. The property is spectacular, the staff are very kind and welcoming and the perogies are to die for. The best part about this establishment is that it is family owned! Highly reccomend this for a fun and safe outing.

Nice staff but the golf course has fallen along way from what I remember. Its 12 holes now instead of 18 yet they are still charging $25 on weekends, also apparently dogs are allowed which is a bit uncomfortable. Right now its not really a playable golf course it needs more time, try appollo valley its pretty cheap and in better shape.

Perfect for beginners and for anyone wanting to practice their short game. You can't beat the prices for 12 holes. We ended up purchasing a 10 pack of rounds so we saved a bit more per round. Great people running the place. I have no complaints about this course. Anyone who complains about this little golf course has too much time on their hands and probably complains about everything else in their life. Be happy and be grateful you can play golf. Many people in the world can't.

Decided to try this course after driving by numerous times I was astonished by the disrepair of the greens. All the greens have died ranging from yellow to cracked earth with moss and weeds. The surfaces were unplayable and any approach shot ricochetted off the green. With that being said the rest of the golf course was maintained somewhat so I have to believe something happened for the greens to look like that. The staff in the pro shop were friendly however I wish I was given a heads up before playing. The routing has potential, hopefully management can fix the green issue before next season.

As a first time player I could not have asked for a better place to experience my first game. All starts with a very friendly and accommodating staff who will take their time to answer all your questions and make sure you are all set for your game. The course itself is perfect size wise, well laid out and easy to navigate. My first game was perfect, and I will definitely be back!

It was our 7-year-old's second time on a course and he said it was his best day ever! The course is kept in great condition, and yes, it is more of an irons type of game but that's what made things more fun and leveled out the playing field as my husband can drive much farther than me. They offer more than just the usual beers, and for kids there is a trampoline after the last hole. We loved the friendly, no-rush atmosphere, can't wait to go back!

New owners of 3 weeks were very friendly, lots of upkeep was going on, and they kept carts clean before handing them off to us. They were open with us about the regrowth of the greens, so I'm looking forward to coming back when it's all perfect. Lots of fun, and a great way to spend the father's day weekend!

Great beginner course. for $20 during weekdays and $25 for weekend fully worth the price and the experience. They also sell beer for $5. The course has 12 holes, 3 par each. (Dogs are allowed as well) There is also a patio where you can enjoy a drink after the game, (seems like they are setting up for some food as well, but due to COVID it was not active). The owners clearly pay attention to little details such as having free sunscreen at the entrance to make everyone's experience as best as possible.

Great family friendly golf course!! The lady (could be the owner, not sure) who welcomed us was lovely and informative. Drink selection was great, and if you need another you can call for a quick delivery! I am a beginner and found this course to be perfect for improving my game. The course is also very well maintained. Dogs are allowed so it was a bonus to see some during our gameplay. Thanks for a great time!

Golfed here last weekend with my fiancée and his parents. By no means are we good but it was a beautiful course great for players of our skill level. All par 3s so good course to get good with our irons. The owner is very nice and helpful. The greens are in a little rough shape but beautiful course and would 100% be coming here again.

This is a local gem! I’ve recently started golfing and got tired of driving ranges and decided to come here. It’s a beautiful course for the price and the quality of the grounds are well kept! Cute little par 3. Only 12 of the 18 holes open right now - but makes for a nice little 1.5 hour walk. It is rough, and they know it, working hard to recover from a bad winter and a late start due to Covid 19. They have priced the round very competitively. The new owner just purchased last year. The patio and washrooms are very nice and clean which shows they want their patrons to enjoy the facilities - better than I have seen at some much higher priced courses. All in all if you want a place to work on those 100 - 150yrd approach shots without spending lots of money, and help a family make a living rather than the big conglomerates, this is it. Enjoy!

What seemed like a good deal at the time turned into 3 hours of my life I’ll never get back. The staff were friendly and happily accepted my green fee. I soon realized that I got exactly what I paid for. The “fairways” are the equivalent to a standard rough and the “greens” were hard as a rock and barely had enough grass to cover half of the putting surface. You could not putt on these greens. The yardages on the “tee boxes” were completely inaccurate (unless I hit my pitching wedge 150) I remember as a kid coming here with my dad and having so much fun on this course but I am extremely disappointed with my experience today.

Great course for beginners! And you can bring your dogs too, which is very cool. The owners are really nice and friendly. They recently started serving delicious pirogies and crepes. I tried the mushroom pirogies after golfing, which were so delicious. I will be coming back!

Great workmanship on bringing back the dead. About two years ago this course was pretty much dead. For what I see the "new" owners have put alot of TLC into this course. New irrigation system, trying really hard to bring back really bad tees and greens. My friends and I have played there four times so far this year and really good improvements, each and every time we go. The "new" owners are super friendly and polite. This course is great for beginners and great for people struggling with their short game. This course has changed the way I play larger courses for the good. I recommend this course to people I see on other courses struggling with the short game, and is highly recommend. Too the "new" owners, KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK! I will keep coming back.

This is an amazing place, where everyone is welcome- novices, kids, pets, and other players. The owners go above and beyond to accomodate everyone and the people who go there are amazing and so fun. I have always been intimidated by the game of golf until I tried it at Buncrana! The game is neither too short, nor too long, and the patio is beautiful. We celebrated two birthdays there now and will be back for more!!! Great and affordable venue. They serve yummy food that include crepes and dumplings/pierogies and catering options are available. You will not regret your decision to spend your time at this lovely place!

It's a nice par 3 executive course good for beginners or someone working on their short game. Smallest greens I have ever played and I have played a lot of courses!! Oh ya, your signs that show yardage at the tee blocks are wrong. You should change them!!!

These five star reviews are befuddling as we had a very disappointing experience when we played in mid-June. We paid $105 for two adults and three kids under 11 and were given vouchers for $10 off the next round before we played. The reason is that the greens were a disaster and the course was in rough shape all around. Hardly any grass on the greens and they were wildly inconsistent. Were asked to sign a four page waiver which asked for our dates of birth which I have never seen in 35 years of playing golf including some member-only, private clubs. The lady at the starter’s tent apologized for the condition of the club claiming they had just purchased it but clearly they didn’t do any maintenance prior to being allowed to open in mid-May. For those looking for a par 3 course we would suggest Rock Chapel which is less expensive and a far better course in terms of variety and condition.

We went to this lovely course today to meet up with some dear friends we haven’t seen in so long due to the pandemic. Me and my partner play quite often, and our friends are complete beginners. It was the perfect place to enjoy a fun relaxing round built to serve all experience levels. The staff is so welcoming and warm, and there are adorable puppies to pet everywhere you look! The course is well maintained and provides a no rush atmosphere. 12 holes is a perfect amount for a par 3! It was worth the trip from Toronto! Can’t wait to go again.
