This Golf corresponds to the category of Public golf course.
Atrended Brighton and Cramahe Chamber of Commerce AGM breakfast meeting. Food was delicious! Hot strong coffee. Beautiful surroundings (we had just been blanketed with a load of white stuff which just accentuated the views.)
Great golf course! Staff is super friendly and the greens are challenging and well taken care of.
Course in good shape..staff is top notch
This is great value. Excellent condition, good service and friendly staff.
Great course, with a good kitchen and highly professional staff.
First and won’t be the last time playing Timber Ridge GC. Loved the course. Tons of elevation change, undulated greens and tricky tee shots. Staff are excellent and course is well kept.
Typically, I enjoy my rounds at Timber Ridge, but this may have been the worst experience during a round of golf I’ve had at any club in a long time. I opted for a ride and dine and the round of golf took just over 4:45 and by the time we got off 18 the dinner wasn’t even ready even though we ordered it in the golf shop when we checked in. For a course of this quality, it’s irresponsible to jam so many groups in to take so long. At one point there were 3 groups on a par 3. I do enjoy the course, but I’d think twice about playing here by choice with my friends. The pins were in absurd locations for a causal golfer and contributed to the long day. Not having dinner ready after 4:45 round of golf was the straw that broke the camel’s back. I donated the meal to the next golfer who wanted food - the single positive feeling I had about my time at Timber Ridge today. I’ll be back to the course at some point again and I hope it’s more enjoyable.
Loved it
Fun and very though course from the back tee. Fast ondulate green, made a couple of three putts! Brian, the marshall was extremely helpful and nice. A perfect day, and unexpensive! Walkability 7/10 though...
I went to Timber Ridge Clubhouse for dinner and had an excellent experience. The patio has a gorgeous view of the golf course, especially the 18th hole, an the food was fantastic. I ordered a Reuben sandwich with a garden salad and the lattice fries to start, all delicious with amazing service.
One of best courses in Ontario.
Great course, professional staff. Not the most expensive but not the cheapest.
Beautiful scenery and excellent staff. A must round for southern Ontario.
Great course! I consider this my home course. If they fixed up their bunkers, I’d give them 5 stars.
Course was excellent. The food was good
A great golf track. Too bad the location makes it difficult to get to. Greens pose a great challenge.
Average shape at present (usually better) but a very challenging 18 holes of golf with very undulating greens and scenic elevations.
Lots of golfers out on the course - just sat and enjoyed the nice weather.
Excellent shape and great value
Great course to play on. Have been there quite a few times over the years but is getting a little to expensive for my. Budget.
Picturesque place, the staff are friendly and accommodating like no other place to golf in Ontario. Everyday is beautiful at Timber Ridge. One of the nicest places to golf I've ever been. I personally rank them #1. Great club house with everything you could think of and a club pro that knows the sport and their course. Can't say enough good things about Timber Ridge.
Beautiful course. Certainly earns reputation of top 100 in province. Every green has levels... Pick the right one.
I’ve been golfing at Timber Ridge for more then 10 years. This year there have been many drastic improvements!!! The new White Sand is going to make you want to play those green side bunker shots. Resurfaced cart paths, I wish the roads were paved as nicely as these. The staff have been working hard to complete these improvements and it definitely shows. Course conditions have never disappointed me. The greens will surely make you pay attention and test your abilities to putt. (Any putt over 5’ will surely have lots of break) The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Paul the manager helped with a custom order for me. Will definitely continue to play at the course for many more years.
A challenging course with still lots of potential compared to the best in the area. At present the greens are receptive, smooth and as fast as you'd want considering the undulations. The bunkers are still under repair with physical changes & new sand coming but at present there are 2 varieties of sand... grey hardpan and lose white. I understand work will continue on them. The huge amounts of poison ivy along the edges of #1,4,5,6,7,9,14,16. are still there but there is a plan to spray it all. The increased amount of rain has helped the tee decks. It is at present on its way to becoming the hidden gem it used to be. Granted a dry spring is likely partly responsible for poor early season ratings. In its favour too the staff are courteous and helpful. Parking is easy and (pre Covid shutdown), the restaurant offers excellent fare. I recommend it. The Quinte area offers great golfing.
Average shape at present (usually better) but a very challenging 18 holes of golf with very undulating greens and scenic elevations.
Attended an event there. Nice venue, but guests had to go into the staff kitchen to get coffee and tea in takeout cups. Tacky!! They had a whole table set up with mugs and spoons, but refused to bring the coffee and tea out. Most of the guests didn't even know where to find it. Since my friend had booked just the use of the banquet hall with coffee and tea service, they should have been able to make that happen. I don't think it was an inexpensive booking, so they should have gotten what they paid for.
18 holes of heaven and well deserved frustration. I can't wait to revisit next year
Top notch course, great service. One of my favourite places to play!
Really enjoyed the round. Spacing was great and staff extremely friendly. Challenging but forgiving course.
Great course. Challenging greens but traps are really pitiful for a course of this quality. My favourite in this area.
Nice track with generally good conditions. Sand traps seemed to be in the middle of some reconstruction. Greens are undulating and pin placements are....entertaining.
Great course
Great course
It is still early in the season, but very rough. They have replace a number of bunkers, but they are not finished and have no grass around them. They have been closed for 6 weeks due to covid. They still haven't finish the bunkers. The greens and tee boxes are dry. They layer some new sod, but it is also dry and won't look good in another week. After a very successful year last year, you would think they would be able to improve their golf course.
Warm, good course and great staff
A great bang for your buck
Well run great course well kept had great time always enjoy meeting new people
Played this course for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. This course was in immaculate shape and very challenging. The fairways were lush. The rough was a little on the long side so you had to make sure you didn't veer off the fairway too often. The layout was excellent and very scenic. The weekday greens fees were spot on for what you get. After we stopped by the patio for a lunch and watched groups play up to the 18th green. I didn't get the young lady's name who worked the counter but she was so genuinely friendly and had a great sense of customer service. It was a real nice experience and I look forward to playing there again.
Nice Golf Course Good food and friendly staff.
Good course, nice layout, some wooded, some links, lots of contour to greens but they paced appropriately for the contours. Overall I place it similar to Bay of Quinte and Trillium Woods.
Amazing course and service.
Course is fun and challenging. The front desk staff should not be involved with customer service. Shawn, especially. Very rude and arrogant. Will not be back just because of my experience with him.
Best course in the region!
Nice course
Great golf, loved the layout and it was it goos condition. Excellent staff!!
GOOD NO AS HILLY AS TRENON GC
I went to Timber Ridge Clubhouse for dinner and had an excellent experience. The patio has a gorgeous view of the golf course, especially the 18th hole, an the food was fantastic. I ordered a Reuben sandwich with a garden salad and the lattice fries to start, all delicious with amazing service.
Had a great time at Timber Ridge today. It is, and always has been, one of the few golf courses that treats women equally. Courteous staff, great course!! Marshall was on the course. My friend and I played in 3.5 hours in part because the marshall asked the foursome ahead to let us through. The graph above the comments is silly. You can't golf in 1.5 hours even at the pace of play we keep. MANY THANKS to everyone!!
Beautiful and challenging course, goos conditioning, grwat views. Staff were polite and helpful, nice outdoor seating area. Couldn't recommend more!!
Great hosts to the company golf tournament
Always helpful staff. Following Covid19 rules to a tee. Course in great shape.
Great condition , some tough holes , greens are very challenging.one of the best I’ve played this year worth the drive from Courtice .staff friendly & food is good . Al ready booked to play next week .
Nicely laid out course, great staff
Very nice course! Staff are friendly! Good deals!
Awesome golf course
Very pretty course.

Great service
Vary nice place
Very nice golf course, great layout
Somehow under David’s name but this is Marilyn... had the most delicious BLT wrap today, much better than when I make it ! Food is always delectable... needed solace for my poor golf game !
They are open for 3 days in December and asking the public to pay 70 dollars for a green fee and half a cart rental for 18 holes. Talk about greed. I will never book a round of golf here again. It’s December. Not July. Who asks for this kind of price at this time of year???
Great course.....the Ride n Dine is an amazing bargain.
Nice course
Great shape. Friendly staff. A challenging course, enjoyed my game.
It was a beautiful fall day and I managed to shoot my lowest round ever. Even with the greens being aerated.
Beautiful golf course in a beautiful setting. Course is in great shape and all of the Covid protocols are in place for our safety.
Course in best shape ever! Beautifully manicured greens and wonderful new, white sand in the traps. Service awesome too! Great job Timber Ridge!!
One of the best, not so hidden gems around! The course is always in fantastic condition and will challenge any level of golfer. The greens are very receptive and roll true, rewarding any good shot or putt.
Great food
Beautiful
This is a great course, and the staff are really friendly and helpful. I will definitely play here again.
First time playing the course and I must say its is beautiful and very well maintained , friendly staff as well. I'll definitely play another round at this course
Awsome course
A wonderful experience from the moment we arrived. We were greeted in such a friendly and respectful manor. This is something missing at a lot of other courses. The course was impeccable and the greens were nice a challenging. Lastly.....Timber Ridge is a great value for your money. We will be back again. 5*
Well maintained and very organized
great golf course. challenging but still playable
Play this course twice a week! Love it! New white sand bunkers - great. Very well maintained. Greens are tricky, but excellent. The staff are the best - friendly and helpful. Could not ask for anything better. Best Golf Course in the area.
Very well kept greens good food
Played Timber Ridge on Friday, the course is in great shape. The greens are fast and tricky as usual. New bunkers, that are fun to play out of (I know). Very friendly staff and good food.
Nice
First round at Timber since pandemic times. Nice to see they are rebuilding their traps with amazing white sand, contrasts beautifully against the green grass. Can't wait for them to all be done. The greens are rolling very nicely for a mid week public round. With prices rising everywhere, at least this course is worth it.
Beautiful course. Great value.
A real hidden gem! Worth the drive to Brighton. Killer greens.
Best course in the area hands down. The holes are meticulously planned out and groomed to perfection. Lush grass and a variety of challenges make it a delight to play!
Fantastic course ... great price and wonderful staff.
The food is delicious! Great staff!
Excellent course, great layout, in amazing shape. CHALLENGING greens but not unfair. Well worth the drive from the GTA, I will be back for sure.
Nice layout.
A hidden gem..if you haven't played it before...its a must to add to your next golf trip
They don't have marshals anymore! Our round today took 5 hours, and after the first two holes we waited every hole. There was also a SIX SOME of young guys playing too! Who allows that on a weekend! As has been said in previous reviews, most sand traps are a mess! This is a nicely laid out course, but some things need to change. A few days after posting this review I spoke with the General Manager, Paul Aiken regarding my complaints. He assured me that there are course Marshalls out every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and usually during the week. He advised they DO NOT allow six somes on the course, and as he was not working this particular day, he does not know how this happened. He said a phone call to the Pro Shop during the round would have stopped the six some in their tracks. As far as the sand traps are concerned, he said they have been working very hard since the spring, and some issues regarding the late completion of them were as a result of the availability and delivery of the sand and sod. As others have said, the staff at the Pro Shop are always very helpful and friendly, and Paul was more than happy to speak to me about my concerns.
Fantastic course! Bring your A game on and around the greens. They are very quick, undulating and often feature a tricky pin position. The course was in fantastic shape all around. Great staff and service all day. The Marshalls moved around the course but were very polite and didn't hassle us at all which was nice. Pace of play was good as well! For the cost of the round with a cart it was well worth it and certainly a course I would love to play again. I recommend spending the extra $3 on the yardage book. It is very helpful even with a range finder.
Always enjoy the golf course and dinner with golf at times
The layout, elevation changes and scenery are fantastic. The greens are very challenging but fair. Once the new bunkers are complete, you will have to bring your A game to score well.
Nice course, but if you play golf I 100% recommend you go somewhere else. You will not enjoy your 5 hour round behind some hackers/old people. Had to cut the 18 short due to waiting on tee blocks for 2 groups to tee off every hole. Went once, will never return
Super beautiful course with friendly staff. Loved playing there and will definitely be going back!
Eagled number 1. Great course layout, beautiful greens.
Greens and fairways in great shape needs some work on sand traps. Very picturesque. All golfers will find it challenging based on which tee blocks are used
Been to Timber Ridge many times. Course is fine enough. Went yesterday to hit a bucket of balls. Cost $8 which is very reasonable. What was unreasonable was the measly 18 balls I was given to hit. Pretty snooty response too from the employee at the front desk when asking about it.
Great condition and a good challenge for all golfers.
Nice Course. Tough Greens.
Definitely one of the top courses around. Great layout, great views, and a good challenge for any golfer. Always a blast playing this track.
Course was in great condition with good deal on golf, cart and breakfast package.
Good Course, not expensive
Overpriced mediocre food.
great golf course and friendly staff. good food
Great mid to upper tier course. Not overly long but you need to make the shots. Greens are good but tricky.
Timber Ridge is a great place to play golf. During the Covid-19 pandemic they have all of the necessary protolcols in place to protect course employees as well as all golfers. The staff are really hospitable from the parking lot greeter to the pro shop staff. You feel that your business is important to everyone there. The course is in very good shape. A pleasure to tee it up here. Thanks to the groundskeeping staff for an exceptional job. Book a tee time soon and enjoy the course and the scenery. Ted.
Great service, will definitely play there.
Awesome golf course!
Very good course. Amazing greens! Super friendly staff. Great food and cold beer. Worth the drive for sure
Great course for a great price. I played at 4pm on a weekday for 26 dollars and no one was on the course. The track is mainly designed for carts but I found it walkable. Course maintenance is kept up very well and the course is challenging enough for all intermediate or better golfers. Beginners may find the course not so forgiving as there are quite a few holes where shot planning and smart golf is crucial. Pay attention to the league schedule on their website as there are quite a few leagues.
Excellent hospitality of dine in services. perfect layout and conditions of both fairways and the greens. Would definitely visit again and recommend to friends and family
The first time I played it was the year following the ice storm which destroyed many greens on many courses, and this course had its share of damage. That being said the course was enjoyable and they were working hard to repair. The second time out was the following year and the course was in great shape, it was a pleasure to play.
Great course!
Nice track and in Good shape. Would definitely re play again
Played the track last Friday August 23rd for the very first time. Pleasantly surprised being and hour from Whitby. Greens were excellent, Not to fast but definitely Not slow. 4.6 out of 5 Fairways were playing well also. 4.3 out of 5 Bunkers needed a bit more sand in them. 3.9 out of 5 Tee decks were probably the roughest part of the course, quite bumpy in spots but overall lots of area to tee up your ball. The golf course was a great challenge, and a nice surprise. Great value golf course especially with the "Under par coupon". Will be back!
Very good course however pace of play is a huge problem here. Played about 7 times and only once did we finish in the "recommended" pace time. This was only because there was nobody in front of us. The marshals do not enforce pace of play and it absolutely kills the joy of playing here. It also seems to attract the world's slowest players.
Marshalls around course are way too pushy take away from enjoying this beautiful golf course
Great track! Tough greens
Great course in awesome shape! Well spaced out groups and a nice price!????
Fun track that had a lot of definition to each hole. Greens were great to hit into but every put seemed to have 3 or 4 breaks in it. Very hilly greens, but shift enough to hold your ball on approach. Tee blocks were the worst part of the course. I like to rip it of the tee (275+ yds) and found it tough to get a good grassy spot for my tee that didn't leave my feet in giant divots. Overall a bit pricey at $80 per round. Recommend it on a special. Also, the clubhouse hot dog was super tasty!
Liked layout. Greens where we'll maintained.
Fabulous
great course would get 5 stars if they only offered memberships then i would play it year round
Beautiful golf course and great food

Course is in excellent shape Greens are challenging. Food was good. Overall a pleasant experience.
Love the course and a great meal at the club afterward. The people are first class.
Fantastic golf course that was in great shape and quite a challenge. Highly recommended. Pro shop and restaurant staff very friendly and helpful.
Beautiful course! Will play again
4 out of 5 for now. Alot of of ground under repair and bunkers being upgraded/repaired but otherwise a beautiful gf course! Would be offering a bit of a discount because of the grounds work going on but I get they're trying to make up for lost revenue due to our ridiculous government restrictions. When the course is done with repairs it will be an easy 5 ⭐
It's a hidden gem ..!
(Translated) I know (Original) Se
I had a hole in one (my first) on the third hole - so it was a great day.
Very nice track and it will get better once the sand traps are completed and filled with white Ohio sand.
Have been going to timber ridge for years now and the coarse is absolutely incredible, well maintained, terrific staff and also ate for the first time there and the food was exceptional. All around great experience everytime. Would recommend this coarse to anybody who is looking for a great round of golf ⛳
Great course beautiful shape greens are awesome love the white sand best course around
Great fun layout, Fairways maybe fuzzy, Could be time of the year, Greens a real challenge, Bring your best, need it, Good value, back nxt year.
Nice greens. Tees need work. Great staff. Great layout. Hot day so cart girl was delivering free water. That kinda thing keeps people coming back! Thanks Timber Ridge!
Great golf course very challenging.
Great course. Beautiful late fall day
Great course! Very well maintained with great signage! First time we played it. Staff was very helpful. It can be deceivingly challenging! Will be back!
