This Golf belongs to the category of Golf club.
Golf carts lacked GPS screens. ALSO , the on course porta potties were absolutely FILTHY! I paid $340 green fees for my wife and I for our anniversary outing . WHAT a total waste of money.
Very nice golf club , their food is amazing , the have the best steak ever , can’t eat enough of their steak, it is a must try steak
Good place to enjoy golf game. Fun.
Course condition and layout is amazing definitely a bucket list destination for any Canadian golfer. Unfortunately pace of play is horrible never saw a ranger once on a Saturday and we were backed up 3 groups at each hole.
Great condition. Beautiful. But extremely slow.
Tee boxes to suit every level of play. Lots of room and lots of sand. Be sure to hit it into the trap on the right on 18 and try to fly your 6 iron 213 to the green like Tiger!!
Not a drop of water to be found anywhere.. Parched by the end of round. Bunkers hadn't been raiked in days.. And for this we pay a huge premium to play .
Beautiful!
Overpriced and overhyped. Some gorgeous valley holes though.
Great course, great staff.
Greens were well used.
One of the Greatest golf clubs around. Grounds are impeccable and the course has the right challenge
I was finally able to cross this one off the bucket list, and it did not disappoint. The course is well maintained and very challenging.
Always a good experience at Glenn Abey.
Got to finally play here for the first time. The course is in decent shape, with a little work needed on the greens and tee boxes. The nostalgia of walking the same course Tiger Woods dominated is definitely felt, and probably the reason the price tag is so high. Nice course overall, but would rather spend that sort of money on other courses which are much better, such as Muskoka Bay.
Can be pricey, good course though.
Great course
Pleasant walk
Great course. They need to make it more female friendly.
Love this course. Perfect.
Glen Abbey is an iconic golf course designed by Jack Niclaus 30years ago. It has been home to the Canadian Open in Oakville, over 20 times. Still called th 5th Major by many, it continues to attract top pros only a week after the Open in Britain. In 2000 Tiger Woods won the 5th Major in stunning fashion , hitting the now famous 2nd shot from a fairway bunker to land 20 feet from the pin. That shot sealed the victory. Simply a jewel
Haven't had the chance to golf yet but have been to many events. The venue is very good and the staff are always cheerful.
Nice place for golf but expensive
Historical. Gorgeous course!
Great food
Played here in CIM golf-day. Well supported and organized by the Glen Abbey golf course staff. From the bag drop to the range and on the course no complaints. course is beautiful and in great condition. Food, both lunch and dinner served was very good.
Great course, great service, challenging but not crazy
Beautiful place to enjoy a mother day brunch
Awesome experience for the skilled golfer. Must play!!!, Great clubhouse. Excellent proshop. Nice lockers, with the names of all the pros on nameplates above the doors off the locker. Very clean. Free towels, shaving cream, aftershave, soaps... Worth every penny!
(Translated) The course is very touching. The course design and scenery seem to be the best of the courses I have seen. Green management was a bit disappointed, but it seems to be a special situation when I went. Next time I come back to Toronto, I would like to make a round here again.
Good place to golf
Amazing!!
Well I played 36 with the brother in the hottest day of the year. That said the drink cart was around very regular to keep us hydrated and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The course was in great shape with pretty wide fairways but well guarded greens. A few holes on the back are very scenic and worth playing. Very much enjoyed it.
Nice track, front nine has a couple cool holes but for the most part doesn't stand out. The back nine makes the course especially the valley holes (#11-15).
Always challenging and always fun. Course conditions are well kept and maintained. Greens run true. ???????? Proceed with caution. ????⛳????
Valley holes are unbeatable... Just tranquil.
Truly a amazing sight to see.
I would say it's overrated, but I would be wrong since most people already know it's just an average course. I've played it twice, and have not had the pleasure of playing #12 since the green is hard to keep alive. They seem to be proud of the fact they have a 19th hole which is really a joke. The valley holes are not that special. #11 has a bad green complex. #12 is off limits. #13 is a nice par 5, #14 is ok, and #15 is a great hole. I will be sad when it's bulldozed, but then again no more sad than when Saw Whet closed.
Do not develop this site! Pride of Oakville.
Beautiful golf course.
Green space, with friendly teachers that give you free gum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everything managed perfectly for covid. Course not in summer shape but its April 4.
A beautiful golf course. Several major golf tournaments are regularly hosted here.
Top class golf course. Wonderful manicured and a touch of class in and out of the club house.
Beautiful place
Great history here, great Golf and views
Amazing golf course if not a little expensive.
Absolutely amazing Sunday brunch especially Father's & Mother's Day. Oyster bar, smoked salmon, crab legs, shrimp, eggs Benedict, bacon, sausage, prime rib roast, pasta bar, bbq ribs, waffles, table full sweets including cheesecake, pastries, fruit etc. Coffee, tea and juices included in the brunch price. I have been to this brunch many times and it never disappointes.
Best gold club ever !
Great course in great condition. Clubhouse is really nice. Good service on and off the course.
Watched the RBC Canadian open. Great vantage points all over the golf course. I was told this course will be bulldozed for condo's. Too bad, such a nice golf course.
Great golf course. Perfect place for the Canadian Open
Good place to go.
Gorgeous place and it's huge!
Good
An amazing golf course Canadian opening waz lit
Excellent challenging golf course with a lot of history
Wonderful staff and a great great location. Our violin and cello duo, trio and string quartet has performed here for wedding ceremonies and private events and we have been impressed by the setup at this venue. The outdoor tent (if you can call it that) is huge, attractive and well sited to a variety of events whether rain or shine. The staff is also very helpful, arranging shuttle service for us and our instruments. Highly recommended.
Course is in great shape!
The elevated tee box view going into the valley holes is amazing. The spot known as "The Shot" where Woods flew the water hazard and hit the green is a thought provoking moment. If the course is slow, drop a ball there, see how you would do. Hope like hell the course stays out of developer's hands.
Excellent
The big dimension golf course and impressive facilities at Glen Abbey, rated 4-1/2 stars, mark this out as one of the top championship courses and tournament venues in the Greater Toronto area. Onsite you'll also find the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame, as well as a large and imposing clubhouse. Glen Abbey's big dimension modern layout provides a thoroughly enjoyable and challenging outing. Certainly a top-quality and memorable location to visit if you are in the Toronto area.
Amazing views
Played here today for the 4th time and I have to say I was a little bit disappointed. It's still a great course but the conditions weren't nearly as good as they were in years past. Presumably that has something to do with the fact it was slated to be bulldozed over and built on until recently. Hopefully they get it back to where it used to be because it has always been one of my favourites
Well laid out greens!
An excellent golf course for golfing and social events!
I played here for the first time yesterday. What a treat! There has been a lot of rain lately and the course was in perfect shape. I would absolutely recommend this course to anyone looking to play a wonderful course with some great history!
Excellent facility - food was fantastic and the seminar room was nicely appointed and clean. Excellent!
Awesome.
so quiet and clean
Excellent course. My first and possibly last time?
Great Golf and Great Bar and Brunch !!!!!!
Its too bad that glenabbey is turning into condos as it is a nice G.C.!
It's okay. I mean there are some nice valley holes and there's definitely some history but it's always been a bit overrated in my opinion
The place and the food was not what you pay for. Glen Abbey is NO longer upscale. Very disappointed.
I came here for a meeting so I didnt get a chance to golf here but wow! This place is gorgeous and the course looks amazing! Very well kept!
I always love going to Glen Abbey Golf Club, had dinner over looking the 18th Green, noticed K. Rai Sahi sit down at another table, went over to say Hello which lead to a conversation about the business!
Keep Glen Abey open.
Unbelievable track. Play it before club links turns it into your nana’s patio.
Golf heaven
The food was excellent, the view was spectacular!
Was aerated a couple days ago. Proceed with caution.
Great golf course!!!
Beautiful course
Great course, lot of history on these greens. A little on the pricey side. If you usually play with pull/ push carts be careful, they are not allowed at Glen Abbey. The pace of play could be a nightmare.
One of the most prestigious courses I have ever played at! It’s very nostalgic with “the shot” on the 18th and the green sitting right next to the amazing club house! The back 9 is definitely more challenging and fun to play than the front, but regardless the greens, the fairway and the tee boxes are in amazing condition. Would definitely go again !
Beautiful course. Just pay the green fees. I know it's pricy. But just do it. Be happy. You deserve it.
Always a great time to spend with family and great food! We have been here a few times and each and every time, the staff are very accommodating and go above and beyond to make all of us feel comfortable and welcome! Thank you!
Very good buffett on Sunday.
Great golf course! Where the Canadian open is played!
I was on the crew for the 2017 PGA Canadian Open. The golfers seemed to be challenged by the course and the scenery is nice.
One of a kind
You love this place. Great day!
Glen Abbey Golf Club is world rebound. Having hosted the Canadian Open a number of times should speak for itself. Very nice challenging course that is superbly maintained. Excellent club house, pub and restaurant. Very friendly well trained staff. Highly recommended.
Great golf course good condition, staff is welcoming
It has gone down over the years. Still a great course to play. The back 9 are very challenging but beautiful. Club house could use some updating.
Not bad, entrees are a big portion. Appetizers are overpriced.
Cart path only today !
In great shape for the 2017 season.
Beautiful facility for any occasion.
It's the time when we gather with our lovely friend from the chamber.. Its always a good place to hold an event clean
Elegant golf course with world class staff to guide you and excellent service
Love the course but it seems like they are lacking in the upkeep (watering, bunkers)
I had a mixed experience at this historic and beautiful course. The person at the Pro Shop who checked me in seemed disinterested and I didn't even look up and seem to check me in. I was right as another guy showed up to tee off at the same time as me as they had booked him at my time. Then I went to the range and it was so dry when you hit a shot dirt shot up into your face. On the upside the Starter was very friendly and professional. And the waitress and food were excellent in the bar. The course was in good shape but not great shape. And the facility looked tired in many places. Even the plaques with the names of Canadian Open winners some were hit with bird poop. I don't think you would ever see a US Open home course with this sort of average service and average conditions. It was great to play the historic and beautiful Abbey course again but it really could use some improvements on service and conditions of the course and facilities.
beautiful course , I like it
A tough but great golf course.
This is still Oakville's premiere golf course.
Great course, historic, too bad it will be paved over with houses and condos before long. Shame on Clublink.
First time playing here. Iconic course. Very friendly staff
Canada's best golf course. I can say this after playing over 80 courses worldwide. Definitely a top 5 for me. The customer service and staff are very welcoming too.
It's wonderful place to relax and eat a fantastic food and meet a new people has the same interest as you
Nice conference centre!!
Great patio to watch the sunset and have a upscale pub bite and great end of day glass of wine
Beautiful location for weddings or other events, the wedding coordinator is lovely to deal with! They have wonderful grounds for photos, with a gazebo, a bridge, beautiful lookouts, and I've heard the golf is pretty good too! Haha. I would highly recommend for a function.
Beautiful
Great staff great course ????
A nice place to have a conference. The place is really nice and the staff are very courteous and the food was above average. . The conference room seems a little crowded with the amount of suppliers that were there, but overall it was a good experience. It was nice to have the shuttle vehicle there to take us from the parking lot to the conference room. Nice to be at a Golf Course when there are no golf clubs.
One of my favorite tracks.
Dinner pre-Xmas was delicious - wait staff welcoming and attentive. Apps (french onion soup and salad), and mains (short rib, lamb, beef tenderloin) perfectly prepared and delicious. Setting all decked out for Xmas. Wonderful.
Nice
Amazing track, super friendly staff that always makes my visit memorable.
Well groomed, friendly staff
Very nice clean gold course
Not really a golfer to play golf there but the area is very nice. It is a nice place to relax
(Translated) What a beautiful stadium (Original) 真漂亮的球場
Very good
Nice but a little worn. They are redeveloping this site. So play soon. Best rates are in October.
Awesome course... ...
We were misquoted on green fee pricing through Link Line and the course was in poor condition especially the greens.
Love this place, nice home away from the city.
Goog place to golf and great food at the buffet
NEVER EVER book and pay on premises or on the phone - THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF - I wanted to book online, but decided to call before to inquire about rental equipment. They offered to book me in (thought this was good service at that point). I ended up paying more than 300CAD while online it showed just around 100CAD for the same tee time - When I complained, front desk played dumb at me. I wrote several Emails to the management, but never even got a response - not to talk about an apology or even a refund. The course is beautiful, though...
Top spot
This is great golf course! this is where the Canadian open is held and they have very nice coches too! I strongly suggest you try this golf course
Great place to golf ...while you can. A bit pricy.
Great place for brunch!
We had a nice day. Thank you
Beautiful place, will be sad to see it go for development.
Awesome course, great customer service and tastes food options.
We always go to the Canadian Open when it is at Glen Abby. It is always a good tournament to watch. The Abby is a nice host for the event.
Who plays golf will understand
Ok
Nice place to stop and have a team luncheon to celebrate. Beautiful views with onsite shuttle service. Relaxing elegant, efficient and enjoyable.
dont try to eat the mushrooms grwoing on the grass they dont smell nice
Beautiful course!! Best around.
Beautiful course. I was surprised by the garage near some of stream locations. Could have been from the storm or it could have been there for a while.
THAT WAS SICK!
What a great day today at Glen Abbey, thank you to my vendor who sponsored the day. As great as it was to golf at Glen Abbey, I have to admit, I expected better conditions, my bad luck that I was there after the greens had been freshly airrated.
Specifically good for kids eat and play with enough space
Very nice course can't wait to get back to play again.
Great shape
Good food and service. Great views
Great staff
(Translated) The first time I came here because of work, I came for an interview at a golf tournament. Although the weather was not very good that day, the players were stable. This is a very good stadium. It's very shocking to see the game up close. I hope that one day I can play in the field.
Gorgeous world class course
Course was in great shape this time. Covid measures take away a fair bit of the private club feel.
I hit DJ's shot on 18 and it didn't work out so well
Love this beautiful gem. I really hope it stays a golf course and not a development area
Enjoyed my day at the Canadian Open. Everyone one was great, both guests and employees. Finding parking from the north off the 407 would have been a little helpful. Great day in all. Save Glen Abby
Beautiful Course!
Great Heritage course. Glad to play. Well kept!
Glen Abbey is an iconic golf course designed by Jack Niclaus 30years ago. It has been home to the Canadian Open in Oakville, over 20 times. Still called th 5th Major by many, it continues to attract top pros only a week after the Open in Britain. Not what it once was. Conditions are mediocre. Too expensive. Better options in the area.
Beautiful!
Awesome golf coarse too bad it's going.to be distroyed
Food is good
Came here for the Porsche event, and I have to say, it's probably the most beautiful course I've ever played on. I have no complaints
Great place for the Canadian open, but time to move on to more challenging course
Overpriced
Decent track but like most club link courses. Very overpriced.
Walking with the legends.. valley holes are my fav
Outstanding venue. Let's hope it stays
Always consistently great
Tee times were jammed together. Couldn't even finish one of the slowest rounds of my life. Plus some temp greens in place. Not worth the money
Great golf and food services
My son loved the summer golf camp here!
Great condition as always
Pretty beat.... Went to the RBC open here, the course is right downtown was hard to get in and around the venue, due to traffic and the way they have it setuo
Lion Valley Park Oakville ON.canada
I had a wonderful experience playing here. Really enjoyed the course.
Delightful staff, golf cart to and from parking lot. Washrooms are clean. Food was great.
GAGC former home of Canadian Open and TG startup and RCGA and landfill .. soon to be public Town land,?
Great course
Awesome!
More reputation than delivery. It was early in the season, but, the greens were many colours other than green, the tee boxes seemed already warn out and "spent" would be the best word for the entire experience.
Wonderful course that may not be around much longer. Enjoy it while you can!
Good Course
Went for the big pro shop sale, last visit before closure
Always amazing.
A nice golf course
This was on my bucket list and I wad in no way disappointed! From the great staff to the incredible course even the locker room was an experience I will not forget. Thanks Glen Abbey
Wow!!! What a place. The course is amazing. Way too pricey though. Great brunch.
Great brunch place!
Great Venue and Fabulous Brunch
Played Glen Abbey last fall and attended RBC Canadian Open this week. Two distinctly direct great memories.
Truly truly truly heaven on earth type place
I enjoyed the facility. Had a business breakfast and would recomend.
The girl at the front desk Amy seemed pretty miserable to be there, the cart was pretty broken down as well. Greens and fairways were in good shape.
(Translated) The best golf course (Original) 最高のゴルフ場
good
Had to cross it off the list..awesome to finally play and not just watch the pros ????
Top of the morning to ya!
Great brunch, but manditory 18% gratuity on the taxes, is over the top for a buffet.
Gorgeous golf course for watching the Canadian Open. Lots of shade and can see all the golfers well.
Love Glen Abbey, front nine is plain but the back nine is gorgeous.
ClubLinks better not take away Ontario's best golf course!
I’ve gone yearly for their Christmas brunch during November and December. I love it! Service is excellent and there’s so much variety of food- worth every penny! Things are fresh, tasty and consistent each year. I love their waffles, oyster bar, set up of food station etc. The place is also clean and you get a great view as you eat. Though parking is far from main club house where brunch is they have a shuttle van
Great course. Was easier than expected and not as stunning as I thought. Regardless it's a place with history for golf here in Ontario.
So pretty
Photographing an event here recently and needed to grab a quick bite, something easy to snack on, so of course I always go for the fries and gravy. I was very pleasantly surprised, they were fast and delicious, definitely a cut above the usual restaurant fare, so I can imagine that the rest of the menu is good too, if they pay such attention to a simple order of fries. Thumbs up.
It really is a fun and fantastic course. You should have some golfing experience before you play here though. One of the few activities you could still enjoy during the pandemic.
Good course. Expensive but it will be sad to see it go when they replace it for houses.
A very beautiful course and very tricky to play. We came on a Monday and it was still busy!
Nice course, good food.
Severely disappointed
Always a great place for golf, too bad it will be gone soon.
Really beautiful golf court with a nice club!
Great friendly staff and the layout was awesome
Incredible track. Gorgeous historic
Im trying to figure out if i want to get married here
Nicenice
We had a 12 man scramble here on the 21st. I was disappointed in the condition of the course, yes its towards the end of the season but you would think the course that hosts the Canadian open more than 30 times would want to keep the course in pristine condition as well as a price tag of $250 a round. The mosquitos down in the valley holes were terrible and we couldn't wait to get out of there. All in all it's a old beautiful scenic course, you just need to keep up with the maintenance from opening day to the final day or lower your fees to accommodate for the high traffic.
Amazing. A must for any golfer
Greens were in great shape and course overall was too notch.
Food great, service not so great
Like the new green design of the 11 hole.
Here's to hoping they keep this a course and not a development ????
Great course
The carts ran out of juice on the course and they charged me an extra 25bucks just To go on the Course and watch my clients play. I had a medical condition and couldn't actually play even though we dropped a fortune onthe 4some. Very unhappy.
I went to the Canadian open for the very first time . What a wonderful experience . The people were great All the vendors were polite The grounds clean and the golf was fantastic . The was food was good and beer and food was expensive but what can you expect your at a P G A event The all only thing that really pissed me off was I bought a Canadian open hat with tax for 28 bucks and change and when I went to leave they were on special for 2 for 25 now how do you justify that what a rip off Peter Olthof
Not sure whats going on with this Golf Course I have played here in the past and really enjoyed myself Today we had a terrible experience. The staff were very rude wait times were crazy and the course was in bad condition. Not sure if its the current situation but there is no excuse when we are paying these kinds of fees to play!
Great Experience
Course was in great shape and the staff was accommodating.
Heritage site now and historic site then.
Overrated. I respect the history, but many nicer courses around. I would never pay full price.
Excellent course so overpriced
Sunday brunch used to be fantastic. Haven't been in a while though and the banquet facilities were to a high standard. Again it's been a few years.
Excellent golf course
Too wet
Gorgeous course. Was lucky enough to play a tournament here. Well groomed, challenging, and relaxing.
Great experience and a challenge.
Lots of parking but no direction to facility
At the 3rd round of 2018 Canadian Open. Course is awesome. 7th hole (the rink) was great
Wonderful course. Very picturesque. Nestled in the suburbs of Oakville, it's the hosted the Canadian open on the PGA circuit many times. Wide open fair ways. It's forgiving and challenging you to hit good shots.
Great
Beautiful course; a must play when given the chance
Really a fun track!! The plaques commemorating some Canadian Open moments on some of the holes are a nice touch! Course was in incredible shape, greens were rolling nice!!
Visited here for the Canadian Open. Unless you buy a more inclusive pass the food choices are very limited. Great course to watch golf though.
Amazing brunch and beautiful course..
Awsome day of golf
Bring your A Game.
Very nice golf course.
Hey there before it closes
Expensive but a beautiful course
I agree with it being mediocre. Nothing special to be quite honest. Even horrible courses in the States offer better service and nicer extras. especially for your dollar. Had quite a pompous server at the restaurant who told me to keep the receipt from my party "as a souvenir". I hope he kept the 10 cent tip I left him as his. Anyway, the golfing is "O.K" been to nicer courses for cheaper. But for an "OPEN" course.. this one needs some loving. It's definitely worth a trip to see what the 70's were like..all relative really. and your expectations.. I would have a brew there with some buddies , enjoy the 70's ambiance and likely leave without playing a round,. perhaps maybe playing in winter is better. The prices might be below 100.00 then. 3 stars only because I love the 70's and the course is great to watch the open when played there. I'd go back again. sure..
Amazing venue
Would be a huge mistake to turn this gorgeous natural marvel into a subdevision.
Nice place to golf
The best! Needs to stay open!!
Yogi is a very good dude.
One of the best courses out there
Friendly knowledgeable staff. Can't wait to try the new clubs.
Beautiful club and hall. The Food, staff, and Venue where absolutely wonderful!
First time playing here and was I impressed. The staff were friendly and made you feel like you were royalty. When I parked, unexpectedly, someone drove right up behind me and helped grab my clubs and drove me to the clubhouse. I registered in and then another chap drove me to the range. It was amazing to be treated so well. The course was in great shape. Lots of sand traps to make it interesting. A few of us had some extra sand coming home with. Wonderful first impression of the course.
Friendly staff reasonable price for beer and food
Very enjoyable considering covid nonsense. Sidenote, If we can golf, children can go back to school ????.
The only place to play
Nice course, too windy and cool today...
Great course. hopefully the owners don't sell out and turn this natural haritige site into a condo or subdevision.
Reservation required for the restaurant and only patio seating available. It was a limited menu.
First time play here at Glen Abbey! Wow! This is an awesome course! Beautifully layout and views. The Greens are in great shape with the dulations added on more challenges for the putting. Will definitely come back again.
Game on!!
I hope it stays...
Course wasn't what I expected given it's past pedigree of tournaments and prestige. Never the less, a playable course with a couple good holes. I think the maintenance department should be much more on top of the course conditions. They were not up to par
I believe the greens can be a bit better. Overall I love the course.
Beautiful golf course
Top notch !!!
Course was extremely wet but still a nice course.
It has gone down over the years. Still a great course to play.
Such a beautiful course and now it's well worth the price if this stays around 125$ I will be back weekly
Great time at the Canadian open
Great golf course
Loved it
Nice course. Always a good time
Was there for the Canadian Open, and was absolutely great!
I played the course late 70s found it challenging but fair we were visiting my brother and played a few clubs enjoyed them all last played in mid 90s when we their for my nephews wedding great time had by all
Wonderful facility, great design and ambiance. Great location.
Fabulous course with a great history behind it's name
Great course, deep history there but tough greens
Just played here today on father's day. Course was in awful shape considering the open is next month. The greens were dry as a bone and the sprinklers would actually come on around the green while we were playing. The bunkers would either be hard as a rock or soaking wet from the sprinklers. On one hole there was some metal fencing just lying on the ground next to the green. First and hopefully last time I'll ever play here. Made for a very disappointing father's day present for my dad. Left on the 11th hole.
Great!
In great shape. But the season is almost over
Not sure what all the excitement is all about. This is an average course surrounded by a noisy city. The food and beverages are overpriced and to top it off my coffee was cold several times. Much better golf courses out there as far as beauty go as well.
Excellent service and accommodating
Nice place
Great Golf Course
First green was trapped but otherwise not in horrible shape for so early in the season. Any time you can play the Abbey for under $80 is a good day.
World class course.
Nice conference facilities
Hope it stays. A special golf course
Great staff and great service! this place is awesome.
Really good service and food.. If u never eat here.. It's a must..
A good course to play with friends but a little bit expensive
3.5 hour round this morning, course is in great shape!
I finally was able to come to this golf course as a player for the very first time despite being a spectator about 10+ times. Currently as we speak, the golf course is not going to be demolished as was planned. This place has created so many memories in Canadian golf that it was labelled a historic site, and as a result, it cannot be re-developed (knock on wood). The unfortunate current COVID-19 pandemic has brought a lot of new players into the game of golf, players that would have never even swung a golf club under normal circumstances. Hopefully with the popularity of golf increasing globally more players will play golf and at historic golf courses like this. The shot Tiger Woods made with a 6 Iron from the right fairway bunker on #18 in 2000 here will always be one of my greatest PGA memories.
Enjoyed a day watching the pros, they make it look so easy!
For the golf enthusiast this is a must play. How often can you walk on the same fairways as the pros?
First time playing this course, an enjoyable day of golf.
What a coarse. Just watched the Canadian Open and there was not one brown piece of grass.
Amazing, to bad it's going to be demolished , probably for another condo development
Great course
Great time today! Glen Abbey staff was very friendly and helpful.
Obviously the best golf club in oakville, good place to enjoy the sport
Great course, a little pricey but great still.
Went for a work Christmas party. Food was pretty good.
Beautiful grounds and a nice design.
Great course
Iconic course, send my daughter to lessons there and she loves it, love watching Canadian Open and brunch is excellent. Hope they save this icon as it really should be a heritage site. It is the heart of Oakville
Early season conditions were poor
Very fan friendly....
Fun to play where the pros played. The poor reviews on here are just being over critical. This course is in impeccable shape. it is challenging and fun to play. Playing here does come at a premium but it is definitely one of the best courses in the GTA. All of the greens are well protected with challenging approach shots. The tee boxes, fairs, bunkers, and greens were great. The history of the course adds to the fun. #11 where Jon Daily was told he could swing away and ended up in the creek. Of course Tigers run in 2000 and the many others.
If you need to lower your handicap, Glen Abbey is the place to do it, however it will come at a premium price. When you watch the pros play this course and basically turn it into a pitch and putt, it's because it is. I'm also not quite sure why the 1st hole is a par 5. Because of this, the course is a par 73. Just turn it into a 450 yard par 4 and make the course a par 72. I edited the scorecard myself to make this change. Golfing a par 73 course feels like it implies an asterisk after your score. Fairways, rough, and greens were all well manicured. Valleys holes were really the only holes with any personality. The front nine was pretty cookie cutter and generic. Great location for the Canadian Open, but definitely not the course to host it. Way too easy.
It's the best part of Oakville...
Fun course to play. Suppose to be redeveloped for housing. Hope not. A real gem in Oakville with lots of history.
Top notch as you would expect. Definitely play here if you ever have a chance. Greens are small but plush so make sure your iron game is in good shape.
The actual course was meticulous, challenging but fair, and the memories that rose up from watching all the Canadian Opens played there, was almost too overwhelming at times ( it really added to the whole experience). The problem that surprised me was the lack of organization. I dont think that I saw 1 Marshall on the course, which led to unneeded backups in play ( 1 foursome had their own photographer posing them for pictures, while the backlog constantly complained about how much $$ they were wasting just waiting....it didnt help that any questions people had , had noone to direct them to. I can only hope this was just a rare glitch due to so much attention focused on preventing Covid , and less on the actual enjoyment of playing such an exhilarating golf course.
Once arrive past the entrance, you have to drive to parking D where you will be shuttled to the pro shop. The staff throughout the place are friendly and ready to answer any of your querries. The restaurant is average decor, average menu items and pretty average dishes, for breakfast. Event fare may be more impressive??? Your tee time is very prompt and the pace of play, for our 4some, was a little over 4 hours starting at 11 on Sunday. The first few holes are nothing to get your heart rate up. The first par 3 does get you thinking what is my carry distance with my irons. Short you're wet, long you're in a bunker. The view does not happen until the back nine and hopefully you are warmed up by then. Some holes are very inviting and makes you think on the tee ground. Others, visually not too enticing. Overall a fair course where you will play your handicap if you've played before. The price of $175 is prohibitive for guests, though.
LEGENDARY????????????????????
Beautiful place people are fantastic
Grounds are beautiful. Would be a shame to have this developed into a huge subdivision. I haven't had the opportunity to golf here but it is something I definitely hope to do at some time - hopefully before it ever closes its doors to golfing.
Great course. Beautiful layout and some pretty difficult holes
Visited during CDN Open. Great event.
BEAUTIFUL PLACE, WHY ARE THEY GETTING RID OF IT??!!
I love this course! I have volunteered at the RBC open for numerous years and always loved coming to this course. It looks amazing and every hole is different. Great place to watch some golf. I have not played it yet but I'm hoping to do so before some rich snob makes it into more condos....you know cause we need more of those!
A very nice golf course
The Glen Abbey Golf Club is a beautiful venue. Lovely for all occasions!!
Love this place!!!
Awesome and challenging course! Bucket list for sure! Even tried to recreate "The Shot" on 18. Only went 30 yards!
Amazing!!!
Excellent facility - food was fantastic and the seminar room was nicely appointed and clean.
I went there for the Canadian Open and it was amazing. There was enough space to walk comfortably but enough people for a good vibe. The course is beautiful and I'd like to play there sometime.
Great golf track with beautiful scenery & home of the Canadian Open. Let's hope that ClubLink doesn't have their way and destroy it to add more homes, condos & business spaces.
The best course i ever played
Beautiful course overall. The valley holes are incredible. My favourite hole is the 11th as I'm sure it is for moat. The front 9 holes are not as scenic. Very expensive though, in fact, it's overpriced. I hope it does not get converted into homes, that would be such a waste of land.
Such a great track , definity a must.
home of the Canadian Open in 2018
Really a good place
Great course. Fun round. Excellent staff.
Good place for leisure time
Very nice challenging course that is superbly maintained.
The weather was very nice today and the lawn of the Glenabby Golf Club was fantastic. This is the final round of fun this year. I will come back next year.

Great track. Lots of fun. Could use a little more luvin' on the greens but it's always fun to play this legendary course.
Stunning golf course. Honestly the gold standard for golf in Ontario. It would be foolish of Club Links to turn this into high density housing. One of Oakville's greatest treasures.
A fun track to play, but not worth the regular green fee of $240. The Valley Holes are the trademark of the course, but many of the Front 9 holes are nothing remarkable...quality courses in the area like Carlisle, Lionhead Legends, and Hidden Lake have similar hole layouts as the Front 9. The real fun starts on the 11th Hole all the way back to the Clubhouse.
Great golf course
Love this course. I will cancel my Clublink membership if they level this course to make way for housing.
Beautiful course
Excellent facility - food was fantastic and the seminar room was nicely appointed and clean. Well recommended place.
Great service and course always in great shape
Beautiful place
Winter practice facility has all the basics and then some. Take the private instruction, it's will worth it. I'm sure this will shave five strokes off my game!!
Beautiful golf course. Perfect condition. Pins are very hard to attack. All greens are well guarded. Bring you A A A Game. Don't tear it down!!!
Its ok
Disappointed, but Covid restrictions mainly to blame. The valley holes are incredible gems, the front nine very pedestrian. Going to be turned into housing soon enough so try to play this historical legend of you get the chance.
Great course and amenities.
Well worth playing, it's a long hitters course with well guarded fast greens. Grounds are incredibly maintained.
Very scenic, staff is very friendly and helpful
Enjoyed the golf hall of fame
Memories, but a really nice place.
Always loved playing here especially after the CAD Open, the course becomes something else! People complaining how mediocre and boring the layout is, have you shot underpar in the first place? Food is great, wings are amazing! Facilities is up there, nice clubhouse! Love the starters, pace of play becomes slow then again that's a general problem in courses in GTA
stunning
Great course always well maintained.
Tough course especially before the Canadian open
Great golf course, just need to attract better PGA players for the open
Great golf great service too bad we are losing this gem

Loved this place
Considering all the discussions over the past years that they wanted to close it (but it will not because Clublink withdrawn their development plans on July 9th 2021) they still manage to have a course in great condition and fun to play with a good pace.
Love this course and of course Tiger's memorable shot at the 2000 Canadian Open. ????
Really a fun track!! The plaques commemorating some Canadian Open moments on some of the holes are a nice touch! Course was in incredible shape, greens were rolling nice!!
5/5. Great golf and service. Play this course while you still can!
Chilling on the Sixth
Fantastic history of Canadian Open golf. Great course! Epic holes! A lot of fun!!!
good food
Very nice clean and welcoming place
Paradise.
The most famous golf court in Canada, beautiful view and nice facility

Great time lovely golf course.
Beautiful course. I especially loved the charming valley section.
Gorgeous golf course.
