Beautiful course and quite the scenery as you drive up to the clubhouse on a sunny fall day when the leaves are just starting to turn. These guys are pros, course is well laid out well maintained. Highly recommend if you can get a tee time.

Great condition and scenic holes. Greens were fast, a variety of options for distance with 5 tee blocks. Overall I enjoyed it. Average speed, little on the slow side but didn't ruin the day or anything. Will play again.

A very high quality and well maintained golf course. Very challenging. Greenkeepers do an excellent job. The club house/restaurant is a little small, and the pro shop's offerings are not at the same level of other ultra premium clubs, however with green fees about half the cost of the competition, this is a great opportunity to play a course commonly ranked in the top 100 of Canada.

Had a fantastic day with my son! Beautiful course. Great condition! Pick the correct tees and it's a great challenge. Only downside was a group of hacks with no etiquette held everyone up on the back 9. Turned into a 5hr and change round. Looking forward to playing there again!

Enjoyable, but very challenging. The course is very well maintained. Holes are long and present you with options on how to play. The greens play similarly... You'll find yourself really needing to plan your spot; just being on the green will not give you relief.

This course is immaculate. Fast, true greens. Beautiful scenery. One negative: And it has nothing to do with the grass.... During a frost delay in the morning, a staff member was extremely rude to 2 of us. The disappointing part of this is that I believe this staff member was the head golf professional of the course. We were patiently waiting around for over an hour and a half for the frost to melt, and decided to throw a football in an empty section of the parking lot to kill time and keep the muscles loose and warm. Out of nowhere, this staff member, in a crude and disrespectful manner, approached me and told me "Can't you guys see there's a business meeting going on?". I replied "no sir, sorry, I don't understand", thinking I may have not understood a joke he was trying to make. He then proceeded to let us know in a very stern manner that there was a business meeting taking place in one of the clubhouse rooms nearby and to stop what we were doing immediately, while shaking his head in disgust. Being 9 in the morning on Saturday, with very few people around, it did not appear as though there was anything going on inside this clubhouse room nearby (as if casually throwing a ball in a parking lot is distracting to something going on inside 30 yards away). In any case, if he wanted us to stop throwing the football, he could have asked politely and perhaps even apologized for the frost delay and not having the course notify us the day before by email/phone about a possible frost delay given the temperature forecast for the night being -5. It is unfortunate that the game of golf is associated with snobby and uptight people like this staff member. I love golf, but there are far too many of these types of people being involved with the game. It's a shame. You're lucky the course is so beautiful. If this was any other average course... automatic 1-star.

One of the nicest courses I have ever golfed on. The greens are tremendous and the elevated tees make an amateur like me feel good. Only warning is do not use good balls on hole 11... I lost 3 on that hole alone... Yikes

Golf was great. Could smell the food at the club house, stopped for a turkey club house sandwich. Worst sandwich of my life, how do you forget to take the wrapper off the Cheese. Was a crappy way to finish a $200 plus round.

This was a wonderful golf course to play. The affordable green fees are well worth it to play this high quality course. I appreciated that they offered both 9 hole and 18 hole options, as I didn't have time to play a full 18. The course was in great shape and I had an enjoyable walk. The only thing I would warn golfers is to wear bug spray! I didn't and got eaten alive by mosquitos in the low lying forested areas. Otherwise, it was an awesome place to play and I will absolutely go back.

BBR is easily one of the best courses in Eastern Ontario. Bill Kerr and his team do an outstanding job of keeping the course pristine throughout the entire season. The facilities are top notch, including everything from multiple ranges to putting greens to a full fleet of great carts. The fairways and greens are immaculate. They even have pro tees to really challenge your game. You simply will not find a better course in Eastern Ontario

This course is a must play. Played 9/5/20 and had a 7:40 tee time. Course was very wet unfortunately. Other then that the course is fantastic. Elevated tee’s, beautiful layout , perfectly manicured. Hopefully next time I come back I bring my A game. Guy in the pro shop could’ve been more friendly but whatever. Highly recommend.

Do Not Play Here!!! We played the 9 holes par 3 course for my daughters birthday. The grass was not cut and there was a dead squirrel at the 4th hole. After our game I asked the staff why this course was not properly maintained. This course is not worth the money.

Course is always in excellent condition. It plays hard but fair. I'm always amazed at the price. Put that course anywhere in the West end of Toronto and they would easily charge you $120 - $150. I would rather drive East out of Toronto and play a top notch course for a reasonable price. Staff is always amazing. It's not easy dealing with the public especially during Covid-19. A spectacular golf course, immaculately maintained, and imaginatively designed. This course is a gem... a must play course in eastern Ontario. The greens are fast and firm, the bunkers are strategically placed, and the tee decks offer spectacular scenic vistas and commanding views of the landing zones. Definitely golf in Ontario at its best.

Great golf course! The conditions were incredible from the Tee boxes to the greens. Bunkers were in great shape, greens were fast and consistent and the pace of play was reasonable. They have 6 choices for Tees for golfers of all skill levels. Had great service experience from the minute we checked in. They delivered range balls to us at the range and the starter was knowledgeable and courteous with our group. Overall just a fantastic experience at a price that is very reasonable for what you get. Not hard to see how this course is ranked so highly. I will be back for sure.

Challenging layout in fantastic condition - a great course let down by management. We were off as a twosome and were stuck behind a foursome. We waited on them for every single shot after about the 4th or 5th hole with a gap ahead of them. Often waiting 5+ minutes at ball for them to advance. We tried to flag them down to play through but they just kept teeing off and leaving the tee box even when we were right there behind them. We mentioned to cart girl on 11th who said they'd inform marshal. Never saw a marshal the entire day. 4h45m round when course isn't busy is a joke. We mentioned it to group ahead in parking lot and they acted like they didn't notice us behind them. Was a group of members so perhaps marshal didn't care to come out and address it. Trillium is pretty nice too and never had an issue there so may just skip BBR in the future.

I was disappointed after hearing all the great reviews to play this gem of a course with sub standard greens. Paying full kick when the greens still in process of aeration. There should be a spring or maintenance rate. Or give the public a heads up before playing.

Challenging but fair lay out. Not just for the big hitters, tees are well thought out for the mid and high handicappers. Lift your head from the fog of battle to look at the beauty around you. My wife and I played twice in the last couple of weeks. The first time they neglected to tell us they were sanding the greens, practically right in front of us. Was a bit ticked, and phoned the pro shop from the 4th tee, the pro/ manager? Who I apologize to for not remembering his name, actually drove out to say sorry and when we finished we had a rain check awaiting us for another round, which was a very apreaciated gesture, not expected and an example of great service. Because we played during the week we felt like we were on our own for much of the time. Also great range which we used, and a great looking short game area which we didn't use. Bring bug juice. Particularly for the front nine.

BBR is indisputably the finest golf course in south east Ontario. Impeccable conditions, scenic elevation changes & very fast and smooth greens elevate this course above the rest. Playing BBR is the highlight on our golf season as it is always in excellent condition. We are so fortunate to have world class golf circuit right in our back yard. Thanks to Mr. McGee and Mr. Bill for creating such an exceptional golf mecca!

Immaculately kept course. Definitely a top course in Canada. Very reasonably priced for a course of this caliber. I enjoyed the elevation changes on several holes. Deer and horse flies were bad but I played at 7 am on Sunday in july. This course was worth the 2.5 hour drive to get to it. I will be back someday.

Challenging course in Belleville. Some really great views. Greens fast. Fairways well played, but in good shape, although I thought they were a bit soft. Fees reasonable given how nice the course. Normally I would have given this course a 4 or 4.5. I've not played the course for several years, as I now live outside of Belleville, but I don't remember playing 5 hour rounds in the past. I suggested this course to some friends of mine who were in the area. They also played a 5 or 5 PLUS hour round. REALLY?!? From what I could see, there were clearly people who should not have been on this course and who did not know how to keep the pace moving!! No marshall seen on the course. Too bad the score rankings don't include pace of play!!
