Fun and family friendly setting. Friendly staff
Amazing family owned golf course, great environment and great service can’t wait to come back!
This par 3 golf course is great for the family and who might have kids just starting out. Staff members all happy and great to deal with.
Fun course if you are still learning, especially with your irons. The staff is friendly and the prices are very fair. The food is great too and also really well priced!
We just had our baby shower there yesturday and I will tell you... it had to be one of the best venues I've rented. They had the easiest people to work with! the price is right, the people were kind and understanding (especially Marcy). They truly went above and beyond! It's a beautiful venue and the food was great! Thank you for making our baby shower as perfect as it was!!
It is a really nice executive golf course at a really great price
Super super chill time
Friendly owners and beautiful course.
We used The Wilds for my daughter's "mini-prom" this year and it turned out to be the highlight of her high school year. The staff were very accommodating, helping us to make the evening special for the all the guests. We loved the opportunity to take photos on the course, but the highlight was the food. The steaks and chicken breast were great, and the dining service was outstanding. Quite a night!
Appalling behaviour; what a shame. I wont return again. Facts: I called at 3:30, confirmed both the twilight rate and the cart rate for 18 holes. 2 of us paid and played steadily until the 8th hole when, after my shot, 5 people proceeded up the fairway and onto the tee box. Treated as trespassers, a staff member demanded that we leave. "Its ladies night!" I understand, but can we at least finish the hole, please? Begrudgingly, and with demonstrably 0 patience for a practice swing, my friend and I were rushed off the course. We then met two others who experienced the same-- who were forced to leave mid-round. It was not conveyed to us that we had a 4-6pm time window. It was not made clear that twilight rate really meant "9 holes if you can squeeze it in." Its clear, however, that any night which hosts a league is NOT open to the public. Therefore, the Wild's "rates" page is entirely misleading. You cannot play a full round after 4pm on any night which hosts a league. So, if you spend your $50+, expect it to go to waste. Further, The clubhouse employee acted in bad faith by inferring that we could play either 9 or 18 holes after 4p.m-- any reasonable person would agree that our phone call demonstrated this intent. Upon speaking to staff and the owner, we were again treated poorly. After pressing the issue by citing the facts, a staff member conceded that there was "miscommunication." You know that? miscommunication wont allow us to finish our round. You cannot recompense us our time. And you didnt offer an apology. Its been a tough year. It was my friends 1st time out in 12+ months and we're busy people. We could have chosen any course; unfortunately, we chose yours. You mislead us, took our money, offered nothing to reimburse us for YOUR mistake, and treated us terribly. Absolutely disgusting and terrible business approach. You are NOT a high-end course and you do not merit prestige enough that we should feel "privileged" to play a shortened round. There are many other places to golf-- all of which offer some base-line respect to its patrons. I am literally a 3rd-generation customer. And it ends here. Enjoy your 40 or 50 stolen dollars. I can assure you that you wont receive a penny more in future. You lost my respect by your confrontational and contentious response to the matter and, in the long run, you'll miss out on a sizeable chunk of revenue. Sub-par course to say the least; totally undeserving of anyone's time and money. AVOID.
Great for kids or anyone learning how to play.
Couldn't imagine a better place to play golf! The staff and owners are friendly, helpful and create an excellent atmosphere. The course is well maintained and a great place to learn without feeling out of place or breaking the bank. Truly a hidden gem, would recommend it to anyone.
Nice practice course
Love the Wilds , great course , friendly staff
Great 9 holes and driving range. Perfect for beginners or to warm up for the season
Great course to learn on... great course to test old pros as well! Value is great
My wife and I had our wedding and reception here at the Wilds. Marci and Scott were very pleasant and easy to work with. The prices were very competitive and fair and we were happy to pay for what we received. We had ~40 people at our wedding and it was a perfect size. Although I can see how more would easily be accommodated. The grounds and pavilion were perfect as there was many different spaces for people to mingle. The bar is very close and the staff were a great time. The thing that surprised me the most was Marci and Scott’s involvement in the wedding itself. On the day of, both Marci and Scott were there almost the entire evening. Cooking, serving food, tending to the bar, moving tables. They worked very hard and made sure everything was perfect. Marci and Scott did a fantastic job and I recommend the Wilds as a great and affordable wedding venue! Thank you guys for making our day special and flawless. Our entire family was complimenting the day.
The course has improved and it's a good place to go for a quick game but not a high end course. If it's bug season bring repellent.
Good for the short game...narrow fairways
Good, fun course for beginners. Obviously not a high quality course, but definitely a good time to go with some friends and save some money. Only downfall is the owner walking her dog and yelling at us on the 16th hole for accidentally skidding the golf cart. Was really a good experience until her and her guy friend bothered us during our game. We have been here before, but the owners decision to make a fuss over a skid mark on a dirt path makes me debate ever going back only because of the disturbance. Without the disturbance, it would have been 4 stars. Would recommend to this owner, customer service is the most important part of running a business, not the quality of your cart path.
Fun for families with younger kids
Course is small. I went to buy a drink after I was done golfing and nobody was there I waited for 5 muinets then left.
A short course not bad for beginners.
We were looking for a place to take friends who were playing golf for the first time. The price was right and we had the course to ourselves. It was a perfect place for them to learn without worrying about pace of play. As a seasoned golfer who has so many other options for golf in Barrie, I won't likely go back. However, if you are looking for a cheaper, more relaxed option, this might be the place for you.
Amazing golf course. Super cheap and just a great place to.golf...
Great place to golf and groups.
Great time golfing with my sons. I beat them badly so 5 stars is warranted.
It was great working with you and your fabulous team at The Wilds at Cedar Valley Golf Course! Please let us know if you need anything in the future! We're glad to help.
Decent executive course.. not maintained well
Great course, well maintained, friendly staff
Great course and friendly staff!
This is a cute course and excellent place to learn. No tee time required. I had a membership in 2016 & learned how to golf here. Variety of holes with some water. Nicely kept and really nice staff. Very peaceful atmosphere with the exception Of sometimes lawn cutting staff can be annoying.
Beautiful setting for a wedding. The steak was top notch, highly recommend. All of the staff were very accommodating and helpful. Special thanks to Marcy for making sure everything was perfect for our event, which was my daughter's wedding. Even with some rain everything came together beautifully. Marcy clearly has lots of experience with events and through all of our planning this was very evident. Thanks Marcy!!
Seems like a nice place. Was here for a wedding
Great course for all players including kids, very friendly staff and nice scenery.
Just a shear pleasure and quite enjoyable Wednesday morning swing! And always complemented by the polite, efficient, and totally competent staff members. All in all, just a wonderful way to spend a few hours. Many, many thanks from Gary & myself, Glenn Vogan.....
Took my dad out golfing for an early Father's day gift. We both enjoyed ourself. Not too tricky for first time golfer which is nice.
Nice place to take beginner golfers to! It's a well kept course with very friendly staff.
Been in the Mens league for 15 years. It's a great friendly place. Always good fun here.
Very nice area, I wasn't playing golf but it appears to be a professional level course
Beautiful place
Golf here with my dad and the family for the kennard classic, always a great time. Happy people great staff. Great course.
Great place for a quick round, beginners, etc. Lots of water and forest all around. Carts available. I have been there a couple times on off hours....after work, Sunday afternoon...I am a terrible golfer and don't want to hold up others behind me. Never been really busy....no one pushing behind or waiting at the holes. Easy to walk the course as it is all flat. Greens and fairways are in good condition generally. Fred the porcupine is a fun addition to watch for.
Great golf course! Had an amazing time there Great for beginners and more advance golfers. Can't wait to get back out there!
We just had our wedding here and have nothing bad to say at all. Marcy and Scott were always available to answer all questions along the way. Extremely accommodating. Very open for meal choices, and quite easily the best chicken breast I've ever had. The staff was always there to help out, no one was waiting for their app main course or dessert to be served. All meals were fantastic with great portion size. Bar was very affordable for the guests. I would highly recommend for anyone to book their wedding here. Absolutely loved my experience here. We really can't thank Marcy and Scott enough.
Very nice course for the beginner golfer.
Decent coarse
Nice course.
Great golf course Even though it's a par 3 _18holes the price to play is good
Great golfing experience.
Friendly, clean and great value
Friendly staff and beautiful course!
This was an excellent venue for a wedding and highly recommend it to other couples. Great service, great space, and great food.
Great course to get out for a quick round of golf. Course is in great shape for this time of season.
A friendly, scenic challenging course for all levels.
Good place to golf. Executive course, no par fives. Twilight rate is very good
Love golfing there. Owners are very nice
Love this course. The staff is absolutely wonderful
Great time had by all. We enjoyed the short par course! The food and the staff!!
We play here every year for our company tourney , best service ever
Very nice little 18, no par 5s but some tricky 4s, great staff and very good prices for everything, will definitely go back
Small course and difficult to navigate for first timers.
Its was great
An absolute gem!! This family owned golf course was a perfect choice for us. The course was laid out perfect that it was easy to walk if you don't feel like renting a cart. We rented the golf club cart for $3.40. The ones working here were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be visiting again and will refer it to friends and family.
Decent course for the price you pay. Staff is very friendly and it's decently challenging.
Fun easy executive 18. Very bumpy greens and fairways. Great staff and coolers provided for your beers.
Good quality course for the price.
Husband and I golfed a relaxing round at The Wilds..very friendly and reasonable..
Love this place. So fun and relaxed hard to have a bad day of golf here.
great venue family run
My wife and I had our wedding at The Wilds this past October. It was perfect all of our guests kept telling us how beautiful everything looked. Marcy was awesome on the day of the wedding she was right there helping to make sure everything was how it should be. I would highly recommend the Wilds to anyone looking for a great affordable wedding venue. Thanks again Marcy
Beautiful and simple course. Excellent for beginners. Staff are always super accommodating and kind. Pace is always managed well and prices are best in the region right now. Would highly recommend for novice and intermediate golfers. Wildlife is always picture worthy seeing turtles and fish each time I've gone! Excellent experience
Great course always have fun playing it!
Great course for beginners to start into golfing a full 18. Bring your bugs spray though on certain types of days or evenings
Fun and friendly
This venue is amazing! We got married at The Wilds at Cedar Valley Golf Course in June of 2018 and are so happy we did. The owners Marcy and Scott are helpful, informative, accommodating, and happy to answer any questions you have along the way. The day went perfectly and we are so happy with how everything turned out. We heard nothing but great things from our guests as well..everyone had a great time, loved the food, and they thought the space was beautiful! We highly recommend this venue..it was the perfect place to start the rest of our lives together! ♡ Sam & Rory
