The food was from another restaurant so not very good. Waited 40 minutes for a dry burger and a side of 6 onion rings that were very slim. They didn't have a drink menu yet and had to look up the recipe on how to make the drink I asked for which was a standard mixed drink. You could tell they were still figuring things out and seemed unorganized in many aspects. However the golf simulation was amazing. Best grafics I've ever seen. Amazing experience for that. The atmosphere was relaxing and classy with a nice lounging area with couches by a fire place. I'd recommend to go but give it some time so they can be more organized on how they want to do things.

Past the Potholes

Tucked in the back corner of a building in Cedar Pointe plaza, I would have thought this place would be empty. However, that is not the case! There are three bays (all in use), a bar and a sitting area. I arrived early and was quite impressed by the atmosphere. While waiting for the rest of my foursome to arrive, I enjoyed a local draft beer and alternated between watching golf on TV and some players use the simulators. The young lady bartending was very friendly. The golfers could use some more practice! There is a 'menu' of courses to choose from. However, when we asked for recommendations, the server didn't seem to know much about any of the courses except one in Nevada that is very difficult. It didn't really affect us as we had already decided which course we'd play beforehand. The simulators seemed very accurate and the mats were in great condition. I can't blame any of my poor shots on the condition of the facility! I did make a couple of birdies and an eagle! PUTTING!!! If you have not used simulators before I would strongly suggest that you eliminate putting all together or set a maximum two-putt rule. I enjoy putting on the course but this is the one part of the simulator technology that doesn't quite measure up to expectations. It also eats up a lot of your time. I did have two issues that I'd lke to avoid if I go back for another round: 1) We were booked from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm. The group before us didn't finishing hitting balls until 6:05 and we didn't start playing until 6:10 as we didn't know how to set up the computer. It was disappointing at 6:55 when we were given our warning and promptly ushered from the mats at 6:59 with only two holes to play. Suggestion: this is a common issue for all simulators. Build in a 5-10 minute transition so that everyone gets an hour. 2) As we were being hustled off of the mats, we were asked about the bill and how it would be divided. Our drinks were still partially full and I didn't even have my glove off yet. Suggestion: invite your players to sit down and watch golf and enjoy the facility instead of encouraging them toward the door. We were caught off guard by this and ended up having a few more drinks and some dinner at St. Louis just down the road. If payment is an issue ask for payment in advance.

We chose North Swing Golf Lounge to host a Birthday party. We reserved two screens. The group that came were in their 18-20’s and had a blast. The boys are local professional hockey players and they were very excited they got to play Pebble Beach on the large screen. They also found the Multi sports on the other screen entertaining and kept them busy competing with each other. The relaxed atmosphere here is fantastic and they were able to move back and forth from screen to screen. There is a full bar and we ordered pizza, it was delish! The servers were accommodating and you felt like you could really do anything within the area. We had the screens for 2 hours and it was a challenge pulling the boys away as they could of stayed longer, Lol The location is well appointed with a pool table, shuffle board and is expanding. A must do this winter for golf, sport enthusiasts or just a place to hang out for a drink. Highly recommend this gem in Barrie!!

Great experience and a lot of fun, good value for money so long as your rate of play is steady. My only gripe was that the bar service was slow and incouldnt seemnto get hold of a server to get drinks without waiting at the bar and slowing our rate of play. Despite that, i will be coming back and playing more golf.

Hosted my husband's birthday there last year. Awesome service, they were super accommodating and nice. The simulators were great, and for the little kids there was other sports for them to play. Highly recommend!

If you love golf, but hate playing in the snow. North Swing indoor golf is the place for you. Great atmosphere, serves cold beer and great food. Best of all you can play the greatest golf courses in the world. Not to mention staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

It was great and will be back. Took my 9 year old during a P.A day for the first time. Technology is great and can help you improve golf game with easy to learn instruction. Staff very helpful. Son actually liked it better then playing a round on the links. Personally not like the real game but will be back.

Great place to go to keep the game up to par. This business has somewhat recently been expanded from 3 simulators to 5. The space to wait and lounge in has also been expanded. Many games(pool, darts, etc) have been added to help you pass those few minutes you have to wait before your tee time. Good selection of on-tap brews and quick freindly service. This is a premier place to spend a few hours over the long, cold, dark winter.

Without a doubt my favourite place to go in Barrie. Great food, great drinks, and incredible golf experience. The only thing better than all of that is the atmosphere. The staff, and regulars make the whole North Swing experience incredible. I've enjoyed watching the NBA playoffs, golfing casually, and playing in Monday night leagues. love love love this place.

I've been playing at North Swing since the start of this year. I have been having a great time. The simulators seem very accurate. The lounge is an excellent place to relax with some food and drink. The staff is very friendly. I am particularly enjoying playing in the Flex League! I'm happy this business has opened in Barrie. It has given me a fun opportunity to keep my swing as honed as it can be while I am waiting for the white stuff to leave.

Not great, but not horrible. Went a bit ago with some buddies. Just like the other places I’ve been to, same layout, same simulators. Beer was cold but not a fan of the food, but that’s just my opinion. Not sure if I’d go back, maybe if I couldn’t get into the other place, and I needed something to do. I really hope that the business does well because it was fantastic. I thought that it would be more of a "computer game" experience like you would get on a gaming console but it was very realistic and as close to the real thing as you can get. It provides vital statistics like swing plane, launch angles and club head speed on actual courses with real pictures rather than animation so you can improve your game while having fun. I would highly recommend it to everyone who likes golf whether you just want to have some fun with friends in a nice setting or you are more serious and want to improve your game in the off season.

I found the facility and staff to be excellent!..While it is hard to replace golfing outdoors, the selection of courses, new video quality capabilities and more sophisticated putting and ball flight capabilities makes North Swing stand out! You get instant feedback on your swing, ball flight and ball speed after each swing. I have played it 8 times and enjoyed each outing! If you want to hone your swing and game before the spring, you should give it a try!

Great staff and facility. Tracey was excellent at giving lessons. Combining lessons with the technology they have showed immediate results to swing fixes. Purchased a pack of lessons with practice time and joined their flex league, having a great time there.

First visit to North Swing was a good one! First off the staff is super friendly. The inside of the building has been done up perfect, 3 simulators with tables behind them to enjoy a meal or a drink. I loved the fact that you can play your round, have a beer, while watching sports on their many TV screens. The only thing i wasn't a huge fan of was the actual simulator data, the playing experience on the simulator was great. Played 9 holes with some buddies, graphics were great, I just didn't feel that results were that accurate, I am a pretty long hitter of the golf ball, but the machine was giving me readings of 20-30 yards further for each club, which would be great.. but just isn't the case. If playing with a group of guys, where everyone is on the same playing field i don't mind it at all, but if i am going to practice, and want to get a true gauge on my numbers, I would like them to be a little more accurate. But overall, great place, reasonably priced, will definitely be back.

Very efficient operation. From the online booking to starting ON TIME . Super friendly and knowledgeable staff make sure you get to loosen up the swing, offer you a hot, or cold, beverage and inquire what you are wanting from your experience. I find the chipping and putting difficult to calculate , so I don't bother and get them to program the simulator accordingly. If you want to get into the swing before the opening of golf season(finally), this would be the place . It offers in my opinion the highest and most enjoyable hour or two at reasonable prices in Barrie.
