What stone was amazing as a young child growing up playing soccer. The team is generally have people all skill levels, and it’s compatible enough to be fine without being dangerous or demoralizing to those of lesser skill. It was fun playing here in the winter when the rep soccer league was not going on. The golf there is also really fun and the paintball is interesting if that’s what you’re into, it also has a mix of amateurs to decent players, I’ve never rented anyone highly skilled however there have been people who are significantly better than average, compared to a regular paintball the rubber balls don’t really leave a mark or anything unless you get them in the neck or face.

It's a nice place to play indoor soccer

It's an old dome with old turf and old fixtures. Management of the leagues has greatly improved over the last couple years but the whole structure needs an overhaul and NEW turf. There's lots to do: golf, soccer, bubble soccer, baseball, paintball.

I have been playing ultimate frisbee here every Monday during the fall and winter league for 2 years. Really neat facility. Fairly bare bones but the service desk has excellent customer service and cold beer at a very good price! The main field turf is still in pretty good condition but the small field is basically a thin carpet on concrete so not good with cleats. Plenty of parking and change rooms and washrooms

We play Rec soccer at the dome. The staff is friendly and this is a nice facility to have in the city. Soccer turf is not the best but was recently upgraded. The dome also offer bubble soccer, driving range, and re-ball/paint ball games.

Great variety of activities and soccer league options! Referee’s can be a bit iffy at times, one did threaten to fight one of my players in the parking lot but other than that it is a great place! The indoor driving range is an amazing winter activity.

I personally have only played paintball. But other friends have played soccer and I have gotten good info from them. First part is about the reball side. Facility itself is big but staging area for paintball is shared with soccer. Normally crowded and you need to watch your gear for any pirates or theives. The front desk is very helpful but does get busy and slows down every so often. It is LLBO so if you're 18 and over you can grab a drink. However it does get a bit cold in the dome itself. In the building its rather warm. Clean washrooms and a good little lounge. Food is okay. Its general snackbar food so what can you expect? Not bad and on the better side of things. Sometimes will have tons of kids running around and I know its not the staffs fault rather the parents for not supervising or caring about them. For any emergencies they have the right means to treat any injuries and are very professional. I just destroyed my fingernail and needed a bandaid to stop the bleeding and they made sure I was all fine. Friend had someone stick a cleat in his Calf and another broke is ankle and the staff was very kind and quick to help out. But the cold in the dome itself does hurt paintball guns. Some don't run too good like people with luxe 2.0s. Have yet to see one work thats not an ICE. Tons of people bundle up and you will see paintball players running into the soccer field to set their guns by the heaters. Sometimes only 1 sometimes 15. Doesn't really matter for the average player as they wear jerseys and padding but soccer players would probably need it more. Reball is now run by William Gordon of the OPPA. Stand up guy and amazing crew. Trying their best to help out. Compressor went down this season but they got it up and running again. Field itself is a bit small. 5 on 5 max and the bunkers aren't the greatest but its the best they can do. They fall over often and deflate rather quick. New layouts every week and bunch of regulars coming back. Other cons/issues are some reballs are od shapped and I found 10 .50cal reballs that were jamming up my loader. Also the lack of reballs. We tend to run out of reballs rather quick when its gun owners. Then we have to scoop them out from the field and under the bunkers and get them into the picker. Only issue is the picker isn't as versatile and hard to weave in and out of the bunkers. Also pod packs are no longer allowed. Not a gripe for me since I can keep track during hopper ball but others resort to using full pinokio hoppers. The only few issues are some cheaters not calling hits since it is now the honor system. Sometimes they can't feel it but blatantly ignoring hits gets me a bit cheesed. If they maybe had a few more sets of eyes on the field at a time it would help out a lot more. Also a better way of collecting reballs and possibly buying some new bunkers. And some more reballs please. On the soccer side. Field is great. Turf is great. Nothing is bad at all. Field has some heaters around it and can't really find any cons about it for soccer. Very bright and clean.

SO MUCH ADULT FUN! We went for a 35th Birthday party and OMG - did we laugh. We played games like kids. We ran around like kids. It was so good to play again! I’d highly recommend for a change of pace.

Not enough parking.. often had to park at the school. Turf is terrible and it is "new". Bathrooms are a bit grungy looking. I have frozen half to death at my kid's morning soccer games, basically have to keep my outer wear on.

If you are planning on playing reball at this place: forget it, it's a joke. I got quite a bit to say: Tonight was my third time going in the last year and I just can't let it not be said. The "staff" are not dressed in anything to point out that they actually work there t-shirt, hat, nothing. But it's ok, they spend most of their time screwing around on their phones or out of the dome completely. Called out a few first timers for mask lifting and lack of a barrel sock that they should have seen but went without notice. Starting games with a bullhorn dosen't exactly work in such a loud setting with a compresser running and over a dozen rowdy kids leading to misstarts and not hear game over. I used to ref paintball and yelling the starting and ending of games is much easier and well communicated. My gun stopped working part way through the evening (my problem), So I decided to use a rental. After a couple short games I realized the gun was lacking oil like many other rentals around me. I asked an employee if the had any and he gave me a confused look and said no. So after rummaging through my own gearbag I found some and got it working. Lacking the basics to maintain and fix your own guns should be priority. After 3 matches play had to be stopped to pick up all the reballs. But because none of the staff bother to try to pick up any during matches along the back and sides, this stopped play for 15 mins. After already starting 10 minutes late, this took away a quater of our evening just like that. I could go one about not checking gun speeds, not watching the fields during gameplay, or lack of bunkers. But I think I have said enough. If you want to play paintball, try some of the better locations in the area. But in terms of barrie sports dome, spend your hard earned money somewhere else.

Went in for Friday night reballing. The staff couldn't care less what was going on, no rules were explained, they didn't provide us with equipment (we had to ask other players), they did not orchestrate the games at all (again the players ran the games at their leisure.) The community of players were very welcoming but were elite players making it intimidating as a newbie. The rental masks were sweaty from previous players and the play area was only 1/8 of the entire dome, making for some clustered gameplay with close quarters combat at all times. Overall I was greatly disappointed with the lack of care from the staff and also in the size of the playing area. 3/10 would only recommend for seasoned players with their own gear.

They really need to improve the field here, it is horrible for playing soccer on. There were metal bits on the field before our game we had to pick up...

***Reply: No, no Jamie. When we signed up for the season, there was no rule stating that our child must be vaccinated to participate. ALL children under 18 years old were invited to participate for the season and there was nothing stating that the rules would change halfway through. I understand you have to follow health unit guidelines, but effectively you changed up the rules mid-season, and forced us to drop out. Don't pretend it was "our choice" not to vaccinate him like we were always aware this was going to happen half way though a season. Nice scapegoat. You are in the wrong for forcing people out and keeping their money. But it's OK. We are following up legally and hopefully others will stand up for themselves too. It's not even about the money - just your shady practices.*** Original: We signed our unvaxed child up (as was allowed at the time). Mid-season the rules changed and he is no longer allowed to play due to SMDHU guidelines. Fine. No problem. But they have informed us they are KEEPING OUR MONEY. "It's your choice for not vaccinating your child" they have said. Us paying for a service and not getting what we paid for was not a CHOICE. We signed nothing to the effect of "if health unit changes policy we get to keep your money." Happy to leave, but we want our pro-rated portion back. They are illegally keeping the money of all families who are affected by this. And the thing is, it's not even the nominal amount, it's the principle. This is not right. Beware of Doug and Jamie Young and their shady business "policies."
