Very nice course
Awesome course. It's always in great shape, the price is very fair. One of my favorite courses and I play it on a regular basis.
Course was under a huge amount of construction when I went. Normally a good course though and now with Sandpiper being so expensive it will be my main course.
Great new clubhouse. Food was great - excellent variety.
Great place
Course is in great shape this year with a lot spent this spring on improving ✨ the grounds and staff
We have been members of SVGCC for over 20 years. This year has the best conditions ever . The membership voted two years ago to borrow 2.5+ million for upgrades to the course and clubhouse to raise it above the rest! As of July 1st , 2018 the course is open on all 18 holes. The greens & fairways are in excellent shape! The bunkers are still under development but will prove to be a factor on approach shots! Even a bit of wildlife on the course! After the round, check out The Valley Lounge! Great food! Great atmosphere! Where friends meet!
This is a good place for a weekend of golfing and fun. We enjoyed our time there.
Great shape and great food
Dinner in the Valley Lounge was very nice.
My wife and I had the Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl and Mushroom Burger, both were delicious, and the home-cut fries really good. To top things off my Rye and Coke was only $5.72!
Hot dog buns are to large for the hot dogs. But it nice to have the toppings available that they apply.
Visited the outdoor patio for lunch this week. Awesome place to go. Beautiful surroundings, excellent service and delicious food. Open to the public. Highly recommend going. Won’t be disappointed.
Private Country Club. Nice facility if you have big bucks. The course is very nice, not too difficult and always in great condition. The clubhouse and service are excellent but then it should be for the price. Harald approves.
Too much sand on the course. It was like playing at the beach. Everytime you hit the ball, green or fairway. Sand all over. Course in very rough shape
Great course in awesome condition.
Nice course , nice ppl
Unbelievable, blew my drawers off! And there they were GONE????????????❣
Great staff. Fun 18 holes with some incredibly challenging greens. Very fair drink prices and good food.
I went to the driving range, most of the practice balls were cut. There was a kids camp along side of us, too bad they did not teach etiquette and try to teach quiter. With that experience I will not return.
Course was in excellent condition (Mid-August 2017). Friendly staff and maintenance people. The price of a black coffee was like getting kicked in the groin though. Bring a thermos
Beautiful Country Alberta
Course is in excellent shape this year!
The course is in fanatics condition from tee to green, with enough trouble to challenge the best golfers. This is a course that is worth the drive out to the St. Albert neck of the woods.
I'm not an avid golfer so I don't know all the rules. I looked on the website for tips and possible items and found nothing. When I got there the guy at the desk said, you can't golf here unless you have a shirt with a collar. This info should be on the website. My friend and I had to buy shirts ($80/ea). I then asked where the clubs were and he said u have to pay extra. I then asked for a power cart and he said, there's none. I later found out that the course was too wet but the guy could've told us that and it should've been posted on the website. Terrible experience ????
Nice course in pretty good shape, which includes the greens.
Course is playing great!
Great public private golf course with a solid menu in the clubhouse and great prices
Well maintained
In really good shape.
Nice course!
Unique and fun course!
Lovely place to relax
Great conditions!
After golfing the better part of the day .. the ribs were simply awesome. Best i have had
Excellent facilities
Awesome
(Translated) Beautiful land. (Original) Beau terrain.
Course is in really good shape, the greens are fast.
Really beautiful, ilove it
Played there on Sunday night, Disregard what others are saying about the course because chances are that they suck at golf and are expecting Augusta tier course in northern Alberta. The course was beautiful, it would be a course I would recommend for people who want to grip it and sip it. Due to the renovations some of the greens are inconsistent but still roll true. This course played very straight forward with not to much danger. Price wise it is average but the beauty of the course is surreal in the later hours on the day. 7/10
Great field...
Nice golf course but a little pricy for what you get.
The course was very well kept, staff was nice. Got in no problem on a Friday evening. Would recommend.
The course was very well kept, staff was nice. Got in no problem on a Friday evening. Would recommend.
Great course
Absolutely horrible i cant even believe i wasted 2 green fees First time 2-3 temps holes a hole closed Bad bad fair ways and greens Than i gave them another shot after calling them and asking them how course is The front end guy said amazing So i came down last week, 1) temp green still 2) hole Closed 3) bunker like cement 4) bunkers being constructed 5)mosquito city 6) snowing popular trees 7) half of the holes had new sod as fringes and you couldn't even roll up or put on it Don't waste your money this year as they said the course will be ready middle july but i doubt that. Patrick stewart Century 21 St Albert Updated +++ gave them another shoy July 29 3:57 Ask the older guy at the proshop before I paid if the course was fully operational no temp greens , holes, fringes fairs way... He looked at me like an idiot , made an awkward 15 second blank face and said "yep it's perfect" Ya no I think everyone had bunkers under repair , repaor patxhes everywhere , fringes in even , wooden lips around all the bunkers. Bobcats and other machinery of the side in the rough...
Extremely disappointing to hear they do not have any rates for veterans. I was going to play here for the week that I am down as it looks like a nice course, but I support businesses that support our troops. There are very limited numbers of veterans out there, give them a discount. They gave you their service.
Great course.
Lovely
Love this course. Not too difficult and very well taken care of.
I really enjoyed my round here yesterday. The course itself was in great shape, despite it being so late in the year. The biggest reason it was so enjoyable though was the service and the people working there. I can't wait to go back.
Nice course
The golf course is AMAZING and Darryl and his team are AWESOME in the clubhouse!!!!
Had fun learning at EGA Golf Clinic at the driving range, wished they had those little white practice tees... Glad I had a bunch extra tees to play with (came in handy ????)
Played: 13-Jul-2020 It was tough getting a public tee-time here, probably due to the limited tee-times during the Covid-19 pandemic, they maybe reserving most of their tee-times for their members. The course itself is in good condition. The tee boxes and fairways were in good condition, the greens crew was out cutting the fast growing rough. Most of the greens are in good condition, and the pace was quick. A few of them had recently been aerated and looked spotted but rolled okay.
Good
Excellent course and exceptionally friendly members!
Great food friendly staff
Greens are in good shape but slow due to construction
Great for work events!!
Nice course but a few greens under repair.
Great new lounge with excellent food quality. The golf course is a little on the short side but very well kept.
Early season condition but fun to play
Beautiful place
Wonderful staff with great food and staff. The staff is very positive and relaxed.
Good place to go hit a bucket of balls or have enjoying game of golf
It is player friendly and the changes made were just the right move. Greens are challenging, just what the course needs to make up for the length since it is only 6800 yards. Overall it is a great course for players of all level.
Nice layout. Greens roll true
Beautiful course. Great layout. Newly renovated clubhouse provides a modern, comfortable environment. Family friendly experience. Five stars!
M.
We golfed on a cold rainy day but this course is very well kept and worth it.
Course is in great condition and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
This is one of my favorite places to golf. It is very peaceful here. Staff is respectful and very well maintained facility.
Not bad course. Lots of no cart allowed areas which makes it pointless to get a cart. Expensive for what it provides. Food is good.
super service and great food
Course is in great shape. Good pro shop. Restaurant serves really great food. Lots of it at a fair price, not cheap but not over priced either. Everything I have tried, except the Sezchaun Beef dish which was over done and far too salty, has been excellent. Suprised that one dish was so far off their usual high quality and taste. I go back here fairly often. It is less expensive than the city courses and a much nicer atmosphere.
Awesome clubhouse, dedicated staff, and beautiful greens
We would have had a better experience for our buck at the kinsman pitch and putt. 1) we booked our greens fees when the website said $59 for Monday’s which include fees, cart, range, and $10 food voucher. We get to the course and they charged $69. 2) we were told the course was only 17 holes, only to smash our drives onto the par 5 fairway green 250 yards out. try 16.5 greens. 3) better practice your bunker shots from your back alley, because half of them were essentially pavement... if you don’t land in the “bunker” with an excavator. 4) the tee boxes were pretty much the the rough too Long story short, save your cash and go somewhere else. The Course charges weekend rates during the week for a D level course right now. They also said the course will increase rates in July, which is less than a week away. Better hope for a miracle to be ready by then. The food is great though.
Course is mint! Great track!
It's a great place, but they need to hire more polite and respectful staff.
Good service in clubhouse
Course is average at best. Greens have lots of ball mark damage. Tee boxes could use a cut. Pro shop staff not very informative for first time guests. We were told by marshall to expect to be held up and he was right. Better courses for same cost around the city.
Dwayne Mandrusiak is there and that alone is worth the price of admission . Course is in amazing shape as well
Great golf course!!
Lovely course! Great grounds, super clean, operational washrooms that are obviously kept clean amidst the pandemic.
By far the best golf course in the area! New bent grass greens run straight and true. Beautiful park like setting. Friendly staff and great food.
Wow, staff in the pro shop must have been changed out they arent pretentious anymore, felt like a customer...never have in the past, 1st time there in 5 yrs...keep it up!
5/5 chill spot
Just finished 2 years of major course and clubhouse renovations , an excellent course now even better with updated holes ,new greens and sand traps . Course is in excellent shape Come experience the new Sturgeon, you won’t be disappointed .
Love this course always in great shape.
Fantastic day. Fantastic course. Fantastic all around.
beautiful
Great golf course, terrific staff
This is a great course. Definitely one of my favorites to play.
Great course to golf at. Very pristine, and beautifully laid out.
Course is always flawless and staff is great!
Very beautiful location. Great for events and wedding. Helpful and friendly staff.
Course is absolutely pristine Greens like carpets. Excellent club house and staff.
Don't waste your time, and money at this dump! The course makes Terrae Pine's look like Augusta National.
Great golf course!
A good course overall and greens are nicely maintained. Quite pricey though for so called Twilight time and was not used to that type of price tag starting at 430 pm. My employee did not have on proper attire and I get that but his shirt did not have writing on it nor a muscle shirt so that cost me another 100 dollars off clearance rack just so he could play too and as 20 mins from our hotel in NW Edmonton location wise. Golf was still fun but yes PRICEY.
Great venue
First of all, very overpriced at $82.50 a round, poor yardage markings and then the 12 minute between T times we were waiting for A 3 some in front of our foursome. The gap between the 3 some and the group in front of them was a hole and a half. Spoke to the guy let’s call him Justin Rose club pro and he didn’t seem to care 1 ioda. #NoMoreBusinessToThem #PoorCustomerService
Excellent service and very nice meal.
I was given 3 gold lessons from my girlfriend for my birthday, this year. My lessons were with Jacob Cartier at sturgeon valley golf course. I don’t think I could have been happier with who I had as my instructor. Jacob is extremely down to earth, Very personable, and an overall genuine person to be around. Very charismatic and his good humour made the experience that much better. Jacob takes one look at what you’re doing and can instantly pin point every single dynamic of your game that you need to change. Even though there were many flaws in what I was doing, and I was provided what felt like a dozen steps to correct it, he made it feel natural and easy to work on until I built those consistent habits. I cannot wait to get out on the course more before the season is over and I sure hope to be back in contact with him next year for more lessons . Highly recommend Jacob. You will in no way be disappointed!
Beautiful course
