Nice golf course, attended a best ball Texas scramble golf tournament. Very nice scenery which makes some difficult greens (it is on the side of the mountain after all). The catered dinner was very good.

Can't speak for the course on this one, in fact I've heard good things. However, a group of 12 of us went to the restaurant here, and it was an embarrassing experience. Lunch took over 2 hours to get in and out. No one had drinks or took additional time before paying. The food simply took forever to come out, then the bill was riddled with mistakes, which also took forever to correct. Some of the group ordered tomato soup, which came out chilly. The "Fish Sandwich" could not only use a more appealing name, but about 4x less salt. The portion sizes for the chicken parm were ridiculously inconsistent, and the "pickles" that come as sides are comically bad tasting (the collective opinion of the group, but still just an opinion, nonetheless). Will not be going back, and would recommend avoiding eating here if possible. We ate at the diner called "Smokey's" I believe, so perhaps the other restaurant in the joint is a bit higher quality.

Silvertip is one of those bucket list course you have to play at least once in your life. I’ve had the pleasure of playing this course several times. The scenery is amazing! The green fees includes range balls. Put the driver away on this course. You won’t need it. Food is also really good!

Working with this venue as a small business wedding photography vendor here in Canmore for the last 8 years, I must say that they are the utimate here in the Canadian Rockies. Not only do they have a constant staff who wear their heart on their sleeve, they have a commited crew that will make your wedding be stress free, smooth, elegant, with prefect meals and all will be on time-- in the event like we had yesterday with a 'one off' blizzard expect that thier amazing staff will stay overtime to work their hardest to make even the most server (not normal) mounatin weather extremes a non reality to all the guest. This kind of service in an expensive mounatin town is not to be expected in Canmore/Banff/Lake Louise --- that comes from outstanding leadership... They have amazing management at Silvertip and genuine happiness in their staff... it is the way this resort performs. Great leadership should never be taken as 'a given' with investments... But with magnificent views, beautiful interior and wonderful staff you will have the best wedding you can imagine there! As local servise provider and years of experience working with them I can only encourage my clients to host their events there, its always such a joyful experience. Sincerely I write these words. I was SHOCKINGLY surprised by how amazing this golf course is! Stunning scenic shots of the surrounding Rocky Mountains on almost every hole, unique hole layouts (long hitters beware - driver may stay in your bag for the full round!), and amazing clubhouse facilities. The BEST golf course in the Canmore area, hands down!!! Thank you, Silvertip, for a most memorable destination golf vacation. I WILL BE BACK!!!

As a positive, the course seems to be kept in great shape year-in & year-out, however, the holes seem to have random renovations done every year (removing or adding tee-boxes, bunkers, etc.). It seems to be done on a whim, adding or taking away from each hole. A prime example was the removal of tee decks from the start of hole one, due to the owner cramming condos into the first landing area of your tee-shot. While over-priced, the restaurant delivers delicious food. However, the staff in the clubhouse carry a pompous air, which does not seem to fit with the local Canmore experience. Finally, when I communicated that I had an unsatisfactory experience, the director was dismissive of my complaints and left me never willing to drop the cash I did at this over-rated "club".

This place is a monster, its huge. Long greens and high angle fairways near the middle. I dont golf but we were there to photograph an event. The pathways are confusing esp around hole 17 but once you got it, its like you are on a self guided roller coaster near hole 13. This place is amazing, just make sure you set aside the day to do the full 18 holes.

I would have recommended this place in the past- until today. I have shuttled hundreds of patrons to the Rustica for weddings, private functions. I have taken people here who ask me to take them to the finest restaurant. In the last five years of cab driving. I have not heard a single negative review about the Rustica's menu. I have heard the occasional comment about staff, but I would usually take that with a grain of salt. Today, I shuttled some of the young ladies that work there and they behaved like infants when I asked them to leave my taxi for hooking a ride with an intoxicated man (It is foolish insist on sharing a cab with shady bar-goers) who insisted that "they all hang out together", the girls demanded that they went to MCDONALDS which was not agreed upon at the start, and I had other customers waiting, and mcdonalds couldn't happen. Once the girls became more obnoxious and were giving me some condescending middle-management tone about how I should do my job, I had more than enough reason to drop them off right then at the bar. I opened the door for them and politely asked them to leave. They both called me a worthless taxi driver who is uneducated, swore and called me a worthless waste of life. I was shaking and they walked up to my face and yelled at me, invading my space, seeming proud that they are hurting me. I was very hurt and angry by this point. I was worried that she was going to spit on me. I will never recommend this restaurant as long as I know these crass, unaware, unintelligent people working in "hospitality" are there. Some places are run by adults, others are run by adult children.

Wife and I golfed there yesterday, August 17th. Course was in fabulous condition! We didn't get to eat at the restaurant onsite unfortunately due to time. We regularly drive up when just staying Canmore to eat here though. Food is fantastic. Only downside yesterday...golf cart felt like a death trap. The only thing I really want to work on golf cart on a mountain golf course is the brakes. You had to start braking almost before you even were near a hill. We mentioned it to the marshal and he just said they are all squishy/soft... :( GPS was also hit or miss. It cut out for four holes. I don't need GPS but when you are paying high resort prices, my expectations rise. We will still come back, it just left a sour note...

Silvertip has been incredible to work with. We initially booked our wedding at Silvertip in 2018, for our wedding date summer 2020. When the pandemic hit, they were so proactive. Reaching out to couples, offering refunds, rescheduling, and moral support. I was finally able to have our wedding in September 2021 and they worked with ever changing restrictions, were extremely flexible in any requests, and were overall a dream to work with (let alone have a wedding at). Their coordinators were always so great at communicating, and were also thorough. I am glad we got to do a food tasting with them, but it wasn't even necessary, so many guests have commented on how delicious our buffet was. The views are stunning, and they know how to help you plan the wedding of your dreams.

Golfed Saturday morning of long weekend. Beautiful course but not even close to being worth the price. Course layout is poor requiring long drives between holes and poor signage. I thought I went the wrong direction multiple times and did a couple times. Bunkers resemble waste bunkers and have poor quality sand, rocks and exposed drainage, I expect those conditions from a $50 municipal course. No beverage cart. Marshall was rude and said to pick up and jump a hole when I was on 8 at 1:45 pace. Clubhouse patio was great with exceptional service and food. 5 star for that part.

Tremendous views from this course. Gives a fair test as long you are playing from the fairway. Very penal if you spray the ball. Expected better course conditions for the price. A few fairways had dandelions growing. Tees and greens were in good shape. Had a five hour round which is unacceptable.

I can't believe I paid that much to be treated poorly by staff right from the bag drop to the pro shop... The GPS on the carts was not working and I believe I had one flat lie the whole round. Never again. Oh but the views were really good... I should have just taken a helicopter ride over the place.

Wedding Ceremony at the Silvertip We had our wedding ceremony at the Silvertip gazebo and it was amazing. The views were spectacular, the set up was beautifully done with white chairs and they provided champagne as well. It is definitely a great value. We would definitely recommend.

View of the gold course sitting on the patio of the restaurant was amazing and the waitress friendly. The Beef Dip was terrible though: the sauce had no flavour at all, and the beef on the bun didn't taste like anything either. The yam fries were good though.

I'm not a golfer, but am a regular at their bar and grill, as they have one of the best menus in town. You can choose to eat off their more expensive dining room menu, or there much more reasonably priced regular menu, and everything I've tried has been good. It's a casual place, and we are still welcome when we come in all grubby after a hike or scramble. Our favourite so far is calamari starters, and fish tacos with yam fries for a main course.

My Husband and I chose Silvertip Golf Course as our venue, being that we were planning during COVID we were quite concerned about what that would look like. Our contact was Nicole, and she absolutely went out of her way to make sure that we had the wedding day we deserved even with all the restrictions were in place. She was excellent to communicate with and assisted us every step of the way to follow restrictions and still enjoy the day. The beverage bar was delicious and everything went without a hitch. The buildings are gorgeous with exposed beams and two beautiful fireplaces. We had the most beautiful back drop for our wedding. Not to mention Nicole and Silvertip worked with us to move dates and were flexible with our previously signed contract. I cannot say enough nice things about the staff, the aesthetic and the food. It was all more than we could have asked for!

Just gotta say, you can't beat the view, but the food they serve there is disgusting. No one seems to care, the food reviews are horrible, yet they have not done anything to improve it. We have gone there twice and both times we had a problem with the food, not a manager in sight. I will never go back there, and I will tell my friends to stay away. It's a shame to waste that beautiful view on garbage food. It will take a miracle to save this restaurant from going under.

Golf course is stunning. Experience is not. Green fees are expensive, but that is expected at high-end experience golf courses. But with that comes a few expectations. Bunkers scarified and maintained, gps in cart, sand on cart, towels in cart, ball wash facilities, a drinks cart on weekends and holidays. Signage could be better, after all there are many visitors playing. Carts are noisy and ours backfired too! Restaurant was unable to sit us at 2.45 after our round due to staff shortage on the weekend. Service needs to lift to match the fees and the absolutely stunning course.

As an Alberta resident this was my first time playing the course. For promoting the course as high end resort, we were very disappointed with the layout and the overall condition of the course and the carts for the price paid. The course is very gimmicky with blind tee shots and 90 degree doglegs. The distance between holes was ridiculous (6 minute drive on a few of the holes). The greens are in very poor condition (a lot of dead spots and very patchy). Our golf cart ran out of power going up to the 17th tee box. It seems that the ownership has ran out of money to maintain the course and equipment. Overall, for the amount of money charged, there are a lot better options for courses other than Silvertip!

Golf is not bad but for the price the conditions should be better. The place has gone downhill don't know if managment changed. Dinner options in the restaurant are nowhere close to what they used to be. You can't even sit in the restaurant for a nice breakfast before your round that's costing you close to $200. I would suggest going to one of the other courses in the area.

If you are looking for a gorgeous wedding venue with a beautiful mountain backdrop and delicious food, the Silvertip Resort will not disappoint! We were so happy with every aspect of our wedding venue and received so many compliments. The food was incredible! We had a buffet for our guests, dessert and a midnight snack, and people were commenting on how delicious the food was and going up for seconds. The ceremony was stunning due to the gazebo in front of the mountains and our pictures looked absolutely flawless because of the location. Danielle, one of the wedding planners at the Silvertip, was also amazing. She met with us before our wedding day to make sure that everything met our expectations and checked in on our wedding day to make sure that we were happy with everything. We had hired a wedding planner, but Danielle was still working along side our planner to make sure that everything was perfect. We are so glad that we chose the Silvertip for our venue and our wedding day was the most memorable day and exceeded our expectations!!!

Lots of movement, but that's what made this course so fun to play. You'll need to give extra thought on club selection due to elevation and hole design but the course was in fantastic shape and a blast to play! Looking forward to playing again sometime.

My fiancé and I tried to set up a time with the Wedding Coordinator to take a look at what The venue has to offer. We were inquiring about a September wedding. Not only did the wedding coordinator blow us off in person, but she ghosted us over email.

Very underwhelming, overall I was disappointed for the way my group was treated by this course staff. Staff was extremely rude, especially the Marshall. The course might be nice but save your money and find a better course that treats you like a human being.

If you’re looking to book your wedding here, I’d highly recommend. We were supposed to have our 2020 wedding at Silvertip. They were a dream vendor to work with start to finish. Although we didn’t end up having a wedding at all, Silvertip was the easiest, kindest vendor to work with. Communication was quick and clear, and they were very understanding and flexible with the ever-changing scenarios. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again.

Amazing place!!! Unreal golf course... it is worth every penny... the only thing is the pins arw a bit off on the gps system and there is no front, mid and back indicator... that would be the only suggestion I have... pace of play is slower than usual but you want to spend 20 mins on each shot just looking around the scenery... i will come back definitely. If you are thinking about it, don't, just head out there, won't regret.

Views are jaw dropping. Staff are very polite and knowledgeable about the area. Food was top notch. We had lunch before golf and hit the steakhouse afterwards. Course is pretty forgiving, fairways gather up tee shots. Greens do not break as much as one thinks. Pace of play was a bit slow. Course marshals need to grow some “balls” and kick people off the course if needed. We had a foursome in front of us and a couple of the morons had cowboy boots on. The marshal told us it was too late they already paid. With that being said put this course on your bucket list. A true mountain course.

love this golf course. always take an extra club for the uphill shots. golf carts probably need to be serviced as the batteries in the one I had today was struggling for the last 4 holes to get up the hills. the other cart in our group had to push us up the hills:(

I attended a wedding there. The marriage ceremony was held at a gazebo and the mountains created an incredible background scene for the wedding. Also, some great pictures of the wedding party and their guest were also taken with the beautiful mountain scenery in the background. The cocktail reception was held outside on the patio before we all entered inside for the wedding reception dinner and dance. There was no much of a dance floor area but It was nice to could either stay inside or go out to the patio area and socialize. The food was served buffet style and there was a great selection of salads, proteins, and vegetables to choose from. They also had desert offering and I found both the food and deserts to be good.

A premier resort course that’s beautifully maintained and designed. The vistas on a few of the holes are some of the best in the Kananaskis region, and they’ve done a great job setting the course into the landscape. Course itself is tough, and plays long due to many uphill approaches. There’s a good balance of hazards, and the fairways aren’t too narrow to be impossible but still present a challenge. If you have trouble with aiming your shots, be prepared to lose a lot of balls to the trees. Great course, will definitely play again.

One of the best golf experiences. There aren’t many places you are able to golf with the amazing surroundings you have at this course. I played this course twice in the end of Aug and it was in amazing shape. Everything was just right. The greens were great, the fairways were amazing and the course was tough but fun. The only downside is that it does take quite a while to finish a round of golf here. Both times it was about 5 hours but I would highly recommend coming because you will not regret it. The food is also really good.

We booked by phone with the Pro shop Monday and we got a good tee time and we were set! After we pay in person and go to the starter we find out they just Aerated the greens and sanded them! The greens were horrible and they did all 18! There was basically 2 putt rule! They were that bad! I just find it in very poor taste they did not tell us at the time of booking firstly so we would have the opportunity to book elsewhere, than did not tell us in the pro shop either. Only the starter filled us in! When I said that was not very good he said that why we got a discount! Discount we paid $125 each. He said they usually charge $180! I have played this course years ago but will not be playing it any more! Beautiful setting but hardly worth $180 green fees! I love the fact they have local beer but the water they supply!! From Quebec! Really!!

We had our wedding reception this past Saturday at Silvertip and it was a perfect evening! The staff was so friendly and the service was excellent. Their food was absolutely delicious and all our guests commented on how fantastic their meals were. Silvertip was very accommodating for all dietary restrictions at no extra charge. The Pavilion was stunning and fit perfectly for our mountain/rustic theme and our guests truly enjoyed the views. Jennifer our events manager was so organized and made the months of planning leading up to our day very smooth. The night couldn't have gone any better than it did!

5 Hours and 10 minutes to play a round because the Marshall wouldn't ask the group ahead to pick up the pace or allow the faster groups to pass. Service was sub par compared to other courses in the area.
