You will see the reviews of real people who know the services of Silver Sands Golf Course (Golf) near Alberta (Canada).
As of day the business has a score of 4.1 stars out of 5 and that score was based on 60 reviews.
As you can see the average score it has is good, and it is based on a large number of opinions, so we can say that the evaluation is quite faithful. If many people have bothered to rate when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to set opinions when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...

Very fun course well laid out worth the drive to play we really enjoyed our day there !
My go to course close to the cottage. Unfortuantly, this year hasn't been the greatest with no rain. Great track, with two totally different 9's! Every other year has been A+!
Have been to this course twice and enjoyed the experience both times. Fairways are well taken care of. If you have a chance try their polish hotdog.
Fun afternoon of golf with my family!????
Great course, definitely worth the drive.
First things first I’m going to be blatantly honest here as I feel like it’s the right thing to do. We teed off here for the first time in 8 years this weekend. The pace of play was beautiful the staff were kind as we played very early. The golf carts were pretty quick but pretty dirty gas powered Yamaha. The golf course is in terrible condition I still played well 78 for 18 holes but could’ve shot much better if the course was kept in the condition it used to be. The fairways were rock solid and completely brown I mean my GPS put one drive carrying 276 & rolling 305 you could hear the ball striking the fairway like a cart path and projecting forward with insane speed. The greens are very shaggy but there in reasonable condition but the worst part of this round was the tee boxes are so out of shape it’s like hitting from rough & so hard you couldn’t get a tee into the ground we had to step down with weight on our tees to get them into the ground. The price is not ok for the condition of the course and if you’re a above average golfer and appreciate good conditions for what you pay for this course is a major disappointment will not return. This isn’t a fake review either I have no problem providing my tee time info hope they take better care of it for the future.
what you mean i cant golf with my shirt off !!!
Well kept greens. Friendly staff. Only complaint is not actually about the golf course, but we believe they have a different breed of mosquitoes on the course who LOVE Off repellant haha.
Such a beautiful and well-maintained golf course just outside Edmonton. The course had intricacies that made it unique. It's definitely worth the drive!
Great course! Great price. Great condition. Friendly staff! Our favorite course.
Great golf course! As long as they keep their discounted prices on Tuesday me and my friends will keep going!
Course was pretty decent for an out of town Lake course.
Always a treat to golf with Blakeman and friends
First game of the year. (Had my clubs stolen) Very hot summer with little rain. So, this day was sunny and about 22°. It had rained earlier but not much. The course was in good condition with nicely cut and still green fairways in 90% of it. Tee boxes were like concrete. We used someone else's tee hole!! The green's were very fast (oh yeah, just like the fairways!) Hit some nice rolls that day! Lol I read other reviews about cost and course condition not matching. Personally I felt the weather conditions over the summer were against them and the course was looking pretty good mid August. I'll go back!
Played this course for the first time ever on September 3. I have played many rural courses over the years and I found this one to be a truly hidden gem! I was very impressed on the difference between the front and rear nines...how often can you play two entirely different courses at the same place? The front nine were somewhat dry, but Mother Nature made that choice. I will definitely play it again.
Many great improvements have been made ????
Beautifully maintained and perfect for every level
Great golf course.
Awesome 18 hole course! Owners are the greatest!
Good service,, friendly,,
Very scenic location, but not managed well for the money paid for green fees. It is a scenic golf course, in passable condition. But having played twice in the past week, had to deal with slow pace because course does not manage golfers. We had to follow a 5 some a few nights ago and a group of 7 today. Completely throws pace of play off. Also, both nights had golf carts that were on their last legs. Gas powered and sluggish. Would have almost been faster to walk. Today we had to return to clubhouse to exchange a cart as our boys had to jump out to push to get it started every time they stopped to play a shot. There was no expectation that this was a top notch course, but $281 for a group of four (including 2 juniors) should still get you reliable and well working carts, and decent pace of play. The course is worth playing once, as it’s a bit of an amusement park layout, but we won’t be making a habit of playing there this summer due to the 2 experiences we had on different days over the past week.
Love playing there, two different fun nines :)
This was my first time at Silver Sands and I was super impressed. The area was beautiful, the golf course was greatly maintained. They have a great club house as well. I definitely want to come back!
Nice little course. Very good greens. Worth the short drive west of Edm. Very good prices.
I’ve only played this course on Monday, yes it is very dry, greens are not perfect but very playable Yes the back 9 is more scenic and in better shape Honestly I can’t wait to play it again now that I know the course In this part of Alberta the green fee with cart is worth it Dan from Ontario
This is one of my favourite courses. Hidden gem forsure.
Poorly kept course that has never changed, tiny greens, frustrating track
Still back 9 holes not managed green. Should be mowing because charging full amount but not ..... that's unfair !!
As a Edmonton resident I have played many courses around the the city . I truly enjoyed playing this course today . It's a hidden gem . Greens were in great shape and I'd highly recommend to take a short drive west of the city and enjoy its natural beauty . Many picturesque holes . Back nine is definitely more challenging . You won't be disappointed. I'll definitely be back again.
Wasn't impressed
Long back nine, Greens were excellent. Staff were remarkable.
This is definitely a course for beginners and non golfers. Some holes, you couldn't find a fairway if you tried, tee boxs an absolute mess, wasps and hornets everywhere. However the price reflexs that, staff also very friendly. Ended up leaving after 9 as the course simply was not for me.
The course was okay... I felt like the staff was more focused on their restaurant patrons than the group of guys we brought to golf. Hooked us up with some janky carts and we were on our way.
The value just isn’t there. The layout of the course is poor the tee boxes are poor and the carts are poor. It’s a $40 dollar course at best. We had a golf pass so 1/2 price golf and it wasn’t worth it. I would not play this course again.
Awesome course nice staff
Had a wonderful time, course is fast and enjoyable. Thank you.
Fantastic small town golf course. perfect for lazy mondays
Possibly the most poorly-maintained course I've EVER seen. We stopped playing after 9 holes and asked for a refund - and the pro shop staff didn't think it was bad enough to give us our money back. Then they blamed it on this summer's weather. The whole place reminds me of when five or six college kids, while on a bender, decide to open a bar; their only qualification is that they know how to drink. But in their stupor, they think that's good enough to run a business. The same goes here. It wouldn't surprise me that nobody on the staff has any formal training in golf course or groundskeeping management. On the off chance someone did, it's also obvious that nobody here listens to them or gives them what they need. I'm being charitable here. It's not simply about irrigation (or the lack of it... for which established 50+ year-old course doesn't have an irrigation system? This one!), it's a mentality which is clear to me that the people here just want to take your money and be unapologetic while doing so. They don't care about the investment necessary to make it a more enjoyable course to play. They don't care about the people leaving bad reviews because they've already got their money out of them. When I said that one of the greens had tire tracks through the middle of it... or the tee boxes were in horrible shape, it didn't shock them. That's standard to them - if something's wrong, it's not their fault. Not a "sorry" or "we'll look into that" or any kind of explanation. Nothing. They've conditioned themselves to tune all the complaints out. Summer's weather didn't cause this. Poor management and a lack of training did. Every other course within 30 km was either good or great this year - I know, because I played them all recently. I can't even call this course a goat track - that'd be giving it too much credit. I will tell all the golfers I know how poorly run this golf course is. All we wanted was a refund for the time wasted playing here.
Amazing course, friendly staff, very quiet during the week so you can play slightly slower.
Great value, very nice people who work there
The course is actually pretty good except for a whole bunch of water they got. The greens are a little fuzzy but overall I'd play this course again. It definitely makes you hit shots.
Challenging . Pretty setting. Couple of deer wandering course.
This course is a hidden gem. Front nine is perfect for beginner golfers, but also acts as a great warmup for the challenging back. Hole 12 is one of the most picturesque and skill testing holes I've ever played. The staff are friendly, the greens are immaculate, and the feeling of being out in the middle of nowhere makes it worth the drive every time. Been playing here for twenty years and it never gets old. For the price its a bargain compared to golfing in the city.
Quiet, no line ups, reasonably priced, friendly staff
