Great golf course and good facilities. Challenging fairways and 27 holes to chose from. Staff is generally courteous and friendly , except for pro shop Manager, who was arrogant and unpleasant to deal with. ( hence 3 stars instead 5 stars rating !!!!!)

Played during the the last weekend of COVID-19 restrictions. 5 hours with twosomes is a joke. No Marshalls on the course. Some random ladies jumped in front at the turn. Won't be back.

Should have taken some photos sorry, had a group of 20 clients out for golf and dinner. Scenic course in great shape and we all enjoyed our dinner at the clubhouse. One of the better courses I have played and eaten at. Everyone enjoyed there day out!!!!

Great value. If they have $75 deal after 1pm on Saturdays it is well worth the drive. Included 18 holes, cart, range bucket and sleeve of balls. I will be back again for sure.

Today I went to river spirit for the first time. The positivity from this place was amazing, starting at the entrance. Once we drove up the covid guard at the gate offered us waters. After hitting a bucket of balls, (currently on matts) we approached the first tee box. The marshalls were very informative and really had a passion for the game. We were even met by that same marshall on a hole he said was quite difficult. After positive encouragement and one lost ball we cut the narrow shoot. The staff was excellent and the facility was definitely worth the drive from calgary. The only recommendation is the par 3 on Millburn has a angled non-level tee box that definitely makes for a harder shot when it doesn't have to be.

Finally got an opportunity to play River Spirit. Great fall day and an absolutely beautiful course. Played the Spirit and Millburn course. Fairways were impeccable and the rough was fair and manageable. A good mix of wide and tight treed fairways. Greens were in excellent condition and firm and fast. No negatives that I could find. Can't wait to play it again!!

Nice course and challenging! However: - Mice took front and centre stage when we sat down for lunch as they scurried around our feet while we ate. (Gross) So, I didn’t eat, obviously wasn’t feeling it. - Was charged wrong amount for bill but just wanted out of there so I ate the $8 unknown costs for there was no detailed receipt option. Food and beverage is NOT their strong point.

Love this club. All 27 holes are a lot of fun and with great deals on pricing you can’t go wrong. I only had one bad encounter here, about 2 weeks ago my mates and I got rained out on 12th hole. When we turned it back to the pro shop to get a rain check there was the girl who checked us in and a gentlemen behind the till. This gentlemen had a beer in hand that was 3/4 empty and was a bit snippy to us asking for a rain check. We understand that we were getting it prorated however, he made comments to us about potentially not receiving one. Super unprofessional on his part, not sure what his affiliation with the club was but the fact that he was drinking behind the till and saying that to us made us feel disrespected during that visit. Other than that experience I love the club and do recommend it to anyone wanting to go out!

My buddies and I have played River Spirit many times this summer and fall and they have always given us great service and the course has been in great conditions. They have a great twilight rate and are extremely accommodating with us. If I knew how much I was going to come this year I would have already bought a membership.

A great track along the Elbow River. Nice elevation swings and greens that hold any darts you can throw! Longer par threes for those who enjoy the challenge! Worth a visit!

Green fees reflect a premium golf course, this course is rustic and the fees should reflect this fact. Restaurant prices are the same as what you would pay in downtown Calgary - better value elsewhere.

Where to begin. The course is managed awfully from the pro shop and it extends even further into the quality of the course. Any loving feature of the abundant nature is lost on the fact that it is under constant repair. Tarps pulling up in almost every single bunker. Racist grounds keeper crew member. $120 for a round including cart? Save the money and play somewhere in town. Not worth the drive for a lackluster experience. The road into the clubhouse is treacherous and the cart paths on half the holes are nonexistent. River Spirit while in theory is a beautiful course, simply avoid this overpriced heap.

This course is made up of three 9 hole courses. Spirit course was absolutely amazing. Great views and challenging for any golfer. The other course we played was very open. And since it was open, the wind played havoc on most of our shots.

River Spirit has been around for a while now. The club house and amenities have never been really update much. Still a gravel road and parking. The course is nicely laid out with some challenging holes. A couple of thread the needle situations if you pull out your driver. Lots of up and down terrain. It's a good hike if you are walking. Good value with friendly down to earth members always giving tips on how the hole plays.

The course itself was great, but using the Chronogolf software to pay did not go well at all. I had receipts showing what I paid up front and what the remaining amount I was supposed to pay when I got to the course. They did not have any records of this payment and we ended up having to spend more than $100 than what my receipts said I was supposed to. I reached out to the course afterward to sort out this discrepancy and they said the promo I paid for was not recognized since I didn't pay everything up front, even though that is not even an option online. No attempt was made to rectify the situation and the River Spirit representative stopped emailing me back so I am now out an additional $107 after spending $935 that day on rounds. Beware for those who book online.

River Spirit is one of the best kept secrets. The course has beautiful nature the entire round. Well manicured tees Fairways and greens are prime. Try the course and you will be amazed

The 2 nine down below are pretty good and well defined but the cattails 9 isnt very good. Greens dont accept chip and pitches very well as its hard for the greens to accept spin. The superintendent keeps the place in very good condition! Very good range!

River spirit is a great 27 hole golf course where they mix and match what 18 holes you play. They have great rates tailored towards people who play outside of peak times. The location works perfect for my friend and I to meet in the middle of South and North Calgary. I would suggest checking out River Spirit if you have the chance.

I played yesterday and it truly pains me to write this post cause the course is beautiful. But the food service is an ABSOLUTE JOKE. Waited 15 at the halfway house to get a drink, no sandwiches, no cooked hotdogs and the kicker, the kitchen was closed. I cancelled my time next Sunday to bring my dad for fathers day. You’ll never see my money again.

Probably the hardest I've had to work to get a single tee time in my life. Booked online for a time, was informed randomly later that day by email it had been bumped by an hour without any explanation. Called to ask why, was told a staff error and it was their "bad". The following day without notice was informed again by email that my tee time was fully cancelled. Called back again, was told the time slot was open and they could put me back in. Unapologetic and very frustrating staff to deal with. No course Marshall or beverage cart, had up to 4 groups on one hole several times, everyone was having to wait due to the terrible scheduling. Would not recommend and will not be returning.

The course designer did a masterful job, but the totally sub-par maintenance makes this place not even close to being worth 120 dollars a round. Unless of course you like a driving range where they've got range balls so worn out and old that you're better off driving rocks. Don't worry though they've "got balls on order", soon to be delivered on the flying dutchman. Or if you like a gross dirty washrooms with broken soap dispensers and no paper towels, golf carts stuffed with garbage in the gaps in the roof where the GPS units would normally go, ball washers with no water, or a half dozen tee boxes so hard that you'll need to use your clubs as a hammer to drive in your tee. This course is also great if you like to off-road in your cart - most of Millburn is a glorified dirt bike track. Still though, there are some bright spots! The greens play well thanks to good design. The young people working at the course seemed polite and hard working, despite their being stuck between a rock and a hard place. Kudos to them. And lastly, you'll also see one of the owners' houses on the course, with an exceptionally soft lawn with vastly less grab grass than the tee boxes.

Prepaid on the golf now app before we arrived. When we got there the girl at the front desk made us pay again citing that she never got a payment which is fine and we took her word for it. Later we showed her both bank receipts and receipt on the app that payment did go through but they refused to return our money. We have tried to call, email and go in person and all three times the staff are telling us different things. The girl on the phone tells us to come in and she will reimburse us and once we get there the guy says there’s “nothing he can do” and gave us the email of their accountant?? It has now been over a week and no word from their “accountant”. Really disappointed as the course was terrific but this is such a shady way to lose customers. Everyone please be aware when paying!!

Played there yesterday, course was okay for being April, was a couple extra ponds from the spring melt but here are my thoughts - staff was awesome l, Proshop was On point and the older people in the halfway house were awesome. - first time to the course, it’s a great spot, awesome layout and great views. - road in was awful, will lose me in the summer with my sports car. But I don’t come to play a road so not the end of the world. - the kicker and what was so uncomfortable, there was a guy sitting in the Proshop, asking questions and taking notes and clearly spying on is staff. Cause of the road and the creepy guy in the corner I might choose to spend my money elsewhere. Let me know when these things are fixed and you’ll have my money again.
