Here you will be able to see the information of real people who are using the services and products of River Bend Golf & Recreation Area (Golf) in Alberta (Canada).
At the moment this firm gets a rating of 4.4 over 5 and this score is based on 127 reviews.
As you can see it reaches an reviews average is positive, and it is founded on a high number of feddbacks, so we can be pretty sure that the valuation is quite credible. If there are many people who bothered to give their feddback when they've done well with the business, it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to place reviews when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Golf is included in the category of Public golf course.
Went for a walk at Riverbend this morning! Beautiful!
Great course, well kept, fast greens! And then we stopped for a burger and beer - great burger ????! And the service great too!
Discovery Canyon is amazing ! Too many people but worth it.
Course is in great shape. Best golf around central AB.
Good!
Love this place for cross-country skiing and just simple hiking. Beautiful trails but pretty busy.
-19C what's not to like
Good golf course. Kin Canyon attached for summer picnics. Very good walking trail around the course in the trees. Walk the dogs their all the time. Canoe/kayak launch for river access.
We were at Discovery Canyon where there is a natural looking water slide and you rent tubes to go down the slide. Very family oriented.
Beautiful spot. Go for a round of golf and cool down in the river. Playground and waterpark nearby for the kids. Great food and drinks, too much to list.
Beautiful course. Lots of vegetation for any sub-par player like myself to lose countless golf balls. A little bit sticky on the dress code but you might as well be dressed like a pro when you are screaming obscenities.
Gorgeous little course down in the heart of the Red Deer river valley. Lots of wildlife and the course was in very good shape for the most part during the 2020 season. Had a membership this year and played almost 60 rounds, glad I did as we are probably moving west of the rockies next spring. They also have a great little 9 hole par 3 pitch and put between 40-80yrds that is great for families and beginners.
Beautiful course!
Amazing love this place
Cool place .
Great course, friendly staff. Lots of spots on the driving range, not to mention spots to practice pitching/chipping/sand traps/putting. The mini links par 3 is super cheap and a great way to work on your short game!
The staff was very friendly, and very helpful with pointing me in to where the driving range was as I haven't been there since I was a teenager. Very nice place, and I had a great time practicing my swing :) 100% recommend this place, and will be back for more buckets of golf balls. ????????
Its were the discovery cove is ,
This place is awesome. All 3 courses are unique and have multiple challenges. Great views and scenery. Cant wait to go again!
We were at the biathlon range. Nice set up. Looking forward to winter games!
Nice place to golf, very well maintained and a challenging course if you're going there for the first time. One person in our foursome left his rangefinder in the cart and when we called shortly after, it was nowhere to be found. Someone's lucky day I guess.
Took the wife and dog for a walk around. Beautiful scenery and clean, quiet 4km trail
Lots of stuff to do with beautiful setting
Greens are very poor but otherwise fabulous!
Very lovely clean area
Best staff ever. Always a great day.
Beautiful golf course and friendly people
This place blew my expectations away. I traveled from Calgary to play with a buddy from Edmonton. I didn't know what to expect. This course is so immaculately taken care of. The fairways are cut to perfection and greens are smooth. This course reminded me of BC. They have a great 18 along with a pitch and put for the younger kids. Or a quick little outing for a double date. 2 practice greens and gorgeous driving range
Great place for golf, driving range and putting greens. Great trails to walk, hike and bike. Red Deer River scenery is right there as well!
We were here for the Chamber Chase event but used tge facilities. Great staff - very helpful and enthusiastic.
You'll enjoy yourself
Amazing course. Happened to be a perfect day for some time off of work. Nothing like 18 holes of golf and some time away from the busy lifestyle.
Good public course, but very busy. Long rounds.
Love going here for the long walks and parks, clean location and great staff
Well maintained, beautiful scenery. It's a fun time.
Lots of water so nice
Great course, greens are in amazing shape one of my favorite Central Alberta courses
Friendly staff. Nice facility.
It's beautiful place for Golf lovers. Free parking free handicap parking beautiful view and being your kids for other fun stuff
Loved the course, well maintained.
Nice place around red deer River
Female staff at cafe not very professional
Awesome course. Some greens require maintenance (dried and patchy), but the sites are amazing, the course is just challenging enough to make it fun, but not hard. Gonna return many times for sure.
Really enjoy the the trail around it and discovery canyon.
Love the trails and my son has been using the biathlon area with Cadets, great to have this location for such activities.
Well, we haven't been golfing for a couple of years and we only went to the driving range and practice putt. But it's a decent golf course that anyone can use, you don't need a membership and it's affordable. Conveniently located and nice views of the Red Deer river throughout the course. We went this particular day to check out the park and see how the cross country ski trail was. It looks well groomed and well used so we plan to utilize the trail this coming week if the weather is decent!
Meal and entertainment evening... GREAT FUN
One of the best courses around!
Nice park. Looking forward to trying the golf course. Very nice trails on a lovely fall day.
Great service and nice food in the Club house.
Nice scenery
Smoke here a lot
Amazing place for Family ????????????
Went for Biathlon race. Well managed. Clubhouse open although odd placement of snack bar on North deck outside of building. But open and snacks available. And heat.
Womderful place by the river!
Been golfing here for 15 years, it keeps getting better and better. The updates for 2017-2018 seasons are great additions. The staff if always friendly and local beer available is a bonus.
The fact that you can use the area at night is awesome. It is also free. No pass required. The only issue was that tracks were not well groomed.
Great golf and recreation spot, has water area and cross country skiing available with rentals of skiis
Love to go for a walk there! Hiking trail was so nice winter time & summer time!
So drunk that day. Would be surprised if i was allowed back
What a perfect spot for an afternoon by the water on a man made beach. I think coming right at 11 is going to be the best option to get a nice shady location. Beach is clean and great sand for the kids to play in. Tube rentals are completely reasonable.
Checked in on Discovery Canyon - ready and beautiful
Loves the Biathlon facility! Want to come back next year!
Facility is great. Golf is great. Some of the staff a little difficult to deal with.
Nordic Skiing, Biking, Golfing, Water Park, Hiking, or even photography! This place has everything your family needs for a great excursion.
One of my favorite courses in red deer. They stack too many tee times too close , and marshal will be strict at times.
Kids love the park and discovery canyon is great in the summer, good walking trails, the golf course is alright
Great place to golf
(Translated) Great golf course in Red Deer (Original) 레드디어에서 좋은 골프장
Excellent park and trails
Good course and amazing staff.
Great family spot on a hot day, but usually extremely crowded.
Too many people in one small park (discovery park) hopefully because it's brand new
We wish you all a great 2017 and thank you so much for all your support in 2016!!
Beautiful! Great food and service in the clubhouse.
Such a beautiful job of the 2019 Canada Winter Games Events, Biathlon, and Cross Country Skiing. We're lucky to have such support! Its a beautiful area, and the skiing is great!
It was so beautiful trail!
surrounded by the River, this golf course is pretty up there. A little small in size and crowded most of the time.
Cute little golf club
Good restaurant and facilities. The course is usually in great shape and the carts have gps. You get what you pay for
Great location. Good for families. Kids loved it.
Nice golf course
Visited the driving range, as did half the city.
Discovery Canyon is a very fun inexpensive place to take your children.
Loved this place sent wait to go back and enjoy looking for dinosaur bones
Saw the newly renovated discovery Canyon today. WOW! It used to be all mud and gravel, now it's smooth paved walk ways, with stairs and safety rails, sandy beaches, benches and picnic tables everywhere. Very busy on a hot Saturday around noon, but an enjoyable family outing even with the crowds.
Golfed with the TIAA group and found the staff and the facility to be first class all the way. Special thanks to Kim for the help with the locating of my phone. Keep up the fantastic work
Beautiful golf course
Fun place to go. Enjoy a nice picnic or water rafting
Played here for the first time. This is a wonderful golf facility with a great practice area. The only thing keeping me from giving them 5 stars is that the greens were hit badly with winter-kill. Despite the damage most of them rolled fairly will and were quick. The fairways and tee boxes were good and with a little help from mother nature I am sure they will be in great shape in no time.
really nice little place
I can't get over how nice the golf practice facilities are! They have a grass and a mat driving range. There is also a practice bunker, putting green and mini lynx! The staff were very friendly and helped us find our way around. We will definitely be driving down from Wetaskiwin again to test out the actual golf course next time! I can't wait!
Golf carts loose power if you mistakenly cross an invisible line and need to be pushed out of the invisible line to continue. If you left something behind forget about it no one will find it.
Avide patrons of river bend golf course. Kids love coming to golf lessons and the golf course/ mini links! We our selves love coming to River bend for all it offers. Do to the sheer ignorance of those attending discovery canyon, we have had to cancel all reservation and plans to attend River bend Golf course on three separate occasions do to the lack of parking!
Love the canyon swimming part in the Sumner. And it's a great spot to walk in the fall.
its a beautiful place to visit
Started us late on the course then had the marshal riding our ass because "we needed to be faster, you started late".... wont golf there again. Can pay less for a better course and better service.
Great basic course. Fun to play, not too challenging.
Dicovery Canyon, good place for kids 10 and under.
Love the mini links
Course in great shape, nice layout and friendly helpful staff.
Very good place for small children. Should be there early for parking and naturally shaded area for picnic.
The greens have severe winter damage
Went on a Sunday afternoon at around 3 and had to park at the driving range on the grass on the side of the road. Children had a blast with the tubes and being in the water. Refreshing.
Wide fairways and well maintained greens, a good course of occasion golfers like me.
Staff is wonderful to deal with. Flexible tee times. Rough year for the greens but the course is in great shape. Greens have made a good comeback. I really enjoy golfing here. The Rec area near the golf course is great for kids. Lots of improvements over the last few years.
Disappointing in the course the greens were terrible the putting was non existing. For the price you pay they should have done a better job of taking care of the place
Had a great round, good for all skill levels
Nice facility but a little overpriced...
Beautiful place! Fairways like carpets! Greens still need work
Good place
Great views of the river and plenty of picnic area to go around.
Excellent course. Beautifully groomed.
Got married here
Course was excellent for a municipal golf course. The young gentleman in the pro shop was professional and welcoming, as were the outside staff and the driving range was very nice. Would recommend this course to anyone looking for an enjoyable golfing experience.
Really like this course. It is well designed and beautiful. The gardens are outstanding and the clubhouse and proshop are great.
Golfing is great
Nice public track.
Staff are amazing
Suck's
Great course for tournaments
As an avid Goose Poop enthusiast, this is one of my favorite stops!
I've always liked this facility
Beautiful course !!!
Great driving range. Plenty of space, and two options for hitting surface.
Well kept course. Not overly challenging, but not easy either.
Beautiful course. The mini links is also really fun and great for beginner golfers or kids. Also a great price for the mini links. Great place for golf!
Great place to visit and put on great shows. I have never golfed but hope to. Staff is very friendly and willing to help out.
Nice place for a get away and has a nice restaurant
The kids loved it.
Fun time had by all.
Nice relaxing way to spend the day
A nice course with very tricky pin placements. Playing with a member to get local knowledge can help.
Wife bought me a $150 gift card 6 years ago for birthday. Not much opertunity to get on ether I was busy, no tee times available or they had tournaments. Card had no expiry but was not in they're system due to age. Wouldn't honour their card and told me they couldn't do anything. would have gone a long way to have honoured the card.
A little crowded, but it's summer time in Alberta so it's understandable. Go early if you don't like crowds. We had a blast! The staff is super awesome and there is a concession if you require snacks. We will be hanging out there more often.
Great trails!
An all season recreation destination
Really lovely trails to walk
Nice course
Great layout, course has the layout that can test all parts of your game. Driver is in play on most if not all par 4's. Greens have come back well, a tad slow but forgiving. Value for the money is 7 out of 10 at a price of 84 dollars with a cart per person.
Very nice course.
Great place to walk
Course was in good shape, unfortunately, didn't see beverage cart on the course, we asked in the clubhouse after 9 holes at 6:00 in 28 degree weather they said "oh, she must have gone home".
Amazing course that is in great condition
I was here for a conference, and the facilities were nice and the food was great. The venue was a little tight for our large group, but we enjoyed the space.
We saw moose(from a distance!), rabbits, squirrels and many birds, geese and ducks along the trail and in the river. It's a perfect place to walk, breathe, watch the seasons changing and appreciate God's creation.
Greens in good shape, good pace to game
Friendly and helpful staff. Driving range a bit expensive but well equipped.
Great little pitch and putt. Was a little disappointed that we couldn't hit the driving range shortly after 8pm.
Very nice yes very nice
Over priced for what you get this year. Terrible greens, to the point where you don’t even want to putt on them. The fairways were chewed and not maintained, the tee boxes had barely any grass on them. Not worth the money. I’d recommend one of the nicer and cheaper courses around Red Deer.
Where did they get the romaine for the Caesar salad during the romaine recall? Nobody has any!??!
Discovery canyon is grwat place to take the kids. Be early the parking runs out fast
We used the ceremony site yesterday for our wedding, unfortunately it was a bit of a headache from start to finish. When booking- it took about 5 solid days to finalize details because calls weren't answered and emails only answered once a day. Yesterday, yes everything was clean and kept - we were told that the site was going to be roped off and displayed that it was being used for a private function, the only thing stating that there was a private function was one sandwich board sign at the entrance before the boat launch. So, when I showed up as the bride, there is an employee on a lawn mower, and some random person attempting to have a picnic with his dogs because there were no signs. Employee stated he wasnt aware that there was a wedding, but finished quickly and left.. overall - my day was still beautiful, but I truly ask myself what we paid $300 for.
It was awesome made me feel 20 again
Did not golf the course. Driving range seemed awesome.
Great play structures
Excellent area to spend a day.
Trails are a bit icey, but other than that its a great place to cross country ski.
The best
Gorgeous golf course with extremely reasonable rates. A must play for any golfer. Can't wait to return.
I only go jere in the winter as I don't play golf. It is great for snowshoeing and you can get the chicadees and squirrels to eat out of your hand. It is safe and wide open. Lots of trails to just walk on as well as cross country ski.
Looks nice
It has everything
I Never have a good game here. Maybe it’s the stray wild life. “Moose “ always seen in the fall. Tough course lots of water. Pelicans seen during summer. If you like water this is your course. Nice walking course too.
We had a fantastic day here. Beautiful course, staff were very friendly and accommodating. Course was well maintained. Fairways were in immaculate condition, some greens need a bit of work. Overall...good experience.
Love it
used clubhouse facilities for a retreat. very personable staff. nice facilities in clubhouse. recommend this facility.
