Great golf course for the price. The first couple holes are quite narrow but the back end really opens up. Nothing too challenging but just an overall nice course. If walking you do have some large treks from green to tee. If you get the golf Calgary card you get 10 percent off and get to qualify 50 days for 50% off.

Beautiful course. Very nice layout to challenge your shot selection off the tees. Really makes you focus on hitting precise good shots, yet not overly penalizing if you miss. Excellent course to play on a repeated basis.

Thought this would be an excellent choice to golf with my brother, however soon into the round we were told that we needed to play our 18 holes within 4 hours as they had a tournament at 5pm. We politely said we would do the best we could, however again we were asked to pick up our pace. Our tee time was 11:25am start and we were on the 10th tee at 1pm. At that point we were again told to pick up our pace! We finished at 3:35pm. We definitely did not show a slow pace!! Because of this experience and the rudeness and pretentiousness and negative attitude of the golf pro (Riley) at the turn I would highly recommend not choosing Heatherglen. Yes it’s close to town but the staff’s negative attitude left a sour impression with us and we won’t be choosing them again. The course is average at best and for the price it’s worth a trip out of town. Update: My Response to Owner's response below 10.1.21: Hello thank you for responding so quickly. I am surprised, however that as the Owner, you chose to deflect my negative experience and put it soley on us, rather than taking ownership yourself, empathizing our concerns and using our experience as a coaching opportunity for your staff on how they communicate to your patrons. The Marshal was courteous as expected, however our group was very surprised on how the Asst. Golf Pro, Riley chose to speak to us at the turn. That experience, compounded now by your response as Owner helps me know that your course is unfortunately not to be a choice for us going forward and may also impact others as well since there is choice on where golfers choose to play. I am sure you can agree as you have built up your brand, you have seen this in other businesses and how staff choose to respond and carry themselves is a reflection from top down leadership - or lack thereof. I hope you as Owner can reflect and do better for future guests, I am assuming we are not the only patrons that have experienced something like this either. Should you like to take this conversation offline, I am happy to do so so and you can hear more of our concerns. All the best!

Really enjoyed the course but we were not informed about it being a walking course. We purchased the cart but could not leave the cart path with it. We should have been informed of that. All in all, will go back. Would like to golf it again.

Nice course, but repetitive holes in the Grove and Hills sections. It's a bit pricey in comparison to nicer courses with similar prices. Egg salad sandwich be a lot better for $9 each. It didn't taste very good and was partly frozen. Marshalls were really good at keeping the pace, pro shop staff were friendly, the establishment can use some renovation and seems run down. This was our first time coming to this course.

We were constantly be told we were one hole or more behind by Marshall which wasn't true. The team ahead was always just half way up the fairway or on the green when we were teeing off. It was a beautiful day otherwise, but didn't like being told over and over that we were slow when we really weren't. It was like the Marshall had a issue with us. I've played here many times over the years and have never been harassed like I was today. Not happy with HeatherGlen ☹️

The staff was kind and the course was good...but many dangerous spots along the course which did not make it very enjoyable! We had a poor first experience because of the coupe we were paired up with and some unsafe golfers on the course, but after my initial review a member of the staff quickly addressed our frustrations and concerns. We appreciated their attention to each golfer on the course.

Awesome course for beginners. A little less pushy and are really friendly. Three courses with some far distances to travel, so I prefer using a cart compared to some other courses. Recently their fairways are a bit torn up, but other years have been awesome!

I had a blast playing HeatherGlen. With the Triple Play card I typically only get out to Blue Devil and GlenEagles but I'm glad I made the trip to HG. Right from the check in all the way to dinner afterwards in the clubhouse it was a great experience. The food was delicious!

Went this weekend absurd amount of leaves on greens and fairways unplayable at times never seen anything like it. No effort was made to clear any leaves at all by any staff. Disappointing run down feel with management that doesn’t seem to care.

The staff are the reason this course is getting a 2 star. The course was absolutely in horrendous playing conditions after the rain that poured yesterday night. Multiple fairways were flooded and none of the sand traps were playable and yet they still charged the full price and told me that the course was playable with only a bit of standing water on some hole (which was a lie because my shoe and socks were drenched from walking on the cart path and the fairway) The ground crew were working hard to blow leaves off the fairways and carrying broken branches off the course, but seriously, they should be ashamed of themselves for charging regular green fees for the condition it was in today. I'm sure the course is nice on a regular day and worth the $70 I paid but today was a huge disappointment and I will probably think twice before going back here.

Soooo pretty much every review below was written by a fake google account as all the accounts have only 1 review and absolutely no activity so right off the bat this course gets a 2 star for dishonesty. I'm playing the course tomorrow and probably will try and avoid it for the rest of the year. You can play any course in the city for 60 bucks and it won't feel like you've been playing on a public dog park for 4 hours. A shame too because a little TLC could go a long way for this track.

This golf course is one of the biggest wastes of time and money in Calgary for any half-serious golfer. The company I work at has a men's league and has played there for the past 10 years, I have played in it for 6 years and this year will be my last. It just gets worse every year. The course has declined in playing shape over the years and only starts to finally get into half decent shape by September. The grounds maintenance seems almost non-existent with dead twigs and leaves littering the course well into May and June.The greens are a disgrace with no consistency whatsoever. They have watered the greens and approaches to the greens but that looks to be about it. They appear to wait to rely on nature to water the rest of the course. They also seem to rely on rainfall to put water into their ball washers; most times you only give your ball a dry rub and buff with the bristles. And let's not forget the water hazards - the stagnant, standing water ponds that have no circulation, are covered with scum and algae and are probably the best breeding ground in the city for mosquitoes. And the kicker is they are charging full pop for this experience. If you don't mind driving a little to Carseland you can play Speargrass for $10 more for 18 holes including power cart after 3:00pm!! Heather Glen only has about 5 years (max 10) left at this location before the city takes over the land for development and it seems like they are going to use this time to get as much money as they can to put into their premium sister courses: Blue Devil Golf Course and The Links of Glen Eagles. A small consolation is that the food from the kitchen is very good and the girls in the lounge have always been cheerful, which is surprising because the money they charge for a beer leaves little room for a tip.

John from the pro shop was extremely unhelpful and made us feel super uncomfortable. Really enjoy golfing here but I wish you had more friendly staff. That is all. Cart girl was great. As per the response, we were not joining up, we were playing through so as to not hold up the pair behind us, and your employee, John, came and kicked us off after he had been “watching us with binoculars” looking for his chance to kick us off. Extremely disappointed.

The guys in pro shop are extremely hostile and don't seem to know how to talk to people that are paying money for their course. One pro shop employee has the ability to talk down to you. If I've learned one thing about customer service its to not act like that. Definitely a good enough reason to not return and suggest that to others as well. The maintenance crew didn't seem to know the gentlemen's "rules" of golf and continued to follow our group around with their noisy machinery with the course being empty of tee times.

Really like this course. The staff always seem pretty friendly, and the course is fairly well looked after, and they price round very competitively. Their biggest issue is that they seriously need to invest more capital into is solving the perpetual water drainage issues. Many of the fairways can become bogs under the right (wrong, lol?) conditions. The clubhouse also needs some maintenance. It's getting pretty rickety and long in the tooth, giving off sort of a roadside truckstop saloon vibe with the squeeky pro shop door and warped cedar siding. I'll be back because of the staff and course design though!

Had a great game of golf! Joined the Birdie Club and got my chip. Friendly staff, great food, recommended adding bacon to the grilled cheese. Course was neat and tidy, got paired with great people. Will definitely go again next time I'm in town

Player assistant working today seemed to be on a power trip. The guy told us to pick up pace when we were right behind the group in front of us...twice!? We also found the course to be quite wet. It was better today, compared to a couple weeks back. After heavy rain, this course can have water hazards in the middle of fairways.

Course is in rough shape... Probably why there were so many maintenance guys out working. Average southern Alberta course. Bring your own pull cart, theirs are terrible. Golfed on a deal and will come back for the same deal, but probable wouldn't pay full price.

This past weekend I discovered my golf clubs were stolen 45 minutes before a tee time at Heatherglen. I called into the pro shop, they said they could help me out to make sure I didn't miss my tee time and when I got there, I was set up with an awesome TaylorMade rental set in time for my tee off. I was feeling pretty terrible but the team in the pro shop did everything they could to brighten my day and give me a few hours to ignore the situation. I truly appreciate everything Head Pro Doug Repp and his staff did. Thank you. Side note: the course was in really good conditions. The greens were quick and rolled beautifully.

One of my favourite courses to play. Always have fun on it. The food is good but I've had some long wait times in the past to receive the food. The holes run parallel a lot so you do have to keep your head on a swivel at times if it's a busy day.
