This Golf corresponds to the category of Golf course.
Some holes are great and more than half of the holes have some serious turf issues. Lots of wet and muddy areas. I know we had a lot of rain this year, but the other courses in the region don't have this problem.
Hard course.
MASSIVE IMPROVEMENTS MADE!! Had not played here in three seasons and I was very impressed with the improvements that are being made a huge amount of work to redirect water from troublesome low stops ETC. had a great day the staff in the Clubhouse were super nice and helpful we will be back indeed great work and keep it up!
Having fun at the GEM Golf Tourney!
Tough but lots of fun
Awesome attitude and challenging layout, loved it, going again and again and again....
Great course just a little to wet still
Decent for a low cost round. Lots of trees makes it challenging.
Great course... nice staff
Lots of water and Bush. Bring lots o balls
Poor greens, poor customer service no rain check given after rained out on 12. Too pricey for conditions of course. Marshal borderline harassing. Course layout somewhat fun only reason for a 2 star.
Some of the fairways are a bit off but overall a great course to play
The 1 star is for super cheap green fees because you get what you pay for here. Has potential but the course conditions will only ever be below average at best. Wet all over, slow greens, rough tee boxes, fairway grass isn't lush. Aside from all that the course has 6 - par 5 holes. Most courses have 4 so it's dumb in that regard. Holes 1/3/9/10/15/18
Terrible greens for the price
Had a great time doing 18 holes here over the weekend. The course is challenging with lots of water traps and it was a nice change from the usual courses we go to. The owner was extremely friendly and was a pleasure to deal with. The green fees are very reasonable and I would def visit again.
The worst greens and fairways I've ever seen
Course in good shape but presently soggy due to excess rain
Not a good place to go to!!
If I could review this place with zero or negative stars I would. Their website advertised $94 for 2 people for 18 holes including a cart. When we got there it was $110. and the owner said the website hadn't changed and that the $94 offer was for cold weather only. That's NOT what it said. Was a month of May special. Course is in terrible shape. Greens are, well, not green. Will not go back.
You can tell the course is normally well kept, but unfortunately when I was there is was flooded a lot due to a very rainy week. This said the marshall was very nice and get us a few tips for not playing there before. The course is deceptively unforgiving. While there's plenty of fairway if you hit off a little off then it's gone in either water or 3 foot grass.
Always fun to play. Did alot of work on the greens in much better shape
great shape for early in the year. always friendly staff and maintenance crews.
The course is in pretty good shape.
Good course, great tee off prices
Edmonton springs is a decent course to play but when I went recently it wasn't fully playable. Greens still had water on them. Many sections of the fairway were blocked off. Try to play it in June or July.
Worst experience I have honestly had at a golf course. I don't know if they were overbooking but they sure we're not spacing groups out enough. There was a minimum 20-25 minute wait at every hole.. and there were slow players walking and the marshal did nothing. At least 8 times we had 2 or more groups waiting at the tee behind us. The whole experience felt very amateur. We won't be going back.
Went for a staff function. It was just ok. I didn’t golf so I cannot comment on that. The tent area where we had our staff luncheon was very messy and the birds had made part of the floor their washroom, I wish they would’ve cleaned it up. The barbeque was just Meh.
Staff has been super friendly. Great layout... course a little rough but always a fun course to play
Good test of golf excellent rates
Fees are very cheap and it's a nice pace. Some greens and fairways need work from being to wet but other than that it's good.
Pretty nice little golf course near high way. Plenty of water and trees make little more challenging. Golfers who are looking for just play a round of golf should enjoy this course.
Good place to shoot a decent 9 hole
Great
Potentially a great course but quality of greens is poor. Enjoyable nature there, especially the terns divebombing in the small lakes
This course has come a long way over the past few years. The course was significantly better than the last time I played it 3 years ago. There were some rough spots in fairways on the first few holes but overall it wasn't too bad. Greens were in very good condition. I've heard that this course was designed by someone that did not golf and as a golfer, I would definitely believe it. Some holes were confusing, but if you play this course more than once, you will understand the layout. This course will test your ability, both mentally and physically. Course management is huge if you want to score well at this course. I was pleasantly surprised to see some of the upgrades that have been made here and for the price, it's hard to beat. I look forward to playing this course again soon.

I just have to put in my two cents... I recently golfed here with the City of Edmonton Surveyors group. I was expecting a tragedy on the course as I read a lot of very questionable reviews concerning the greens, tee boxes and fairways. To my surprise: I found that the greens, tee boxes and fairways were in medium to not bad condition. Fantastic accomplishment considering how hot and dry the summer was. We also had our event catered by the staff which was also excellent. The New York strip steak was tender, perfectly cooked and well seasoned. I will be returning soon as I was also impressed by the consideration and courtesy of the staff. Thank you...
Nice course easy to get a late tee time. Biggest issue is water holes 1-3 have lots of extra water and grass damage. Still worth a round, cheap at the end of the season.
Really good Value for the money and challenging from the blues
Excellent course with a variety of obstacles, hazards and plenty of challenges! And the 19th hole is superb.
Great course and service
I had the opportunity to come to Edmonton Springs Golf Resort and take some pictures with my drone. It is such a beautiful course, and the 16th hole made for an amazing spherical shot. Some of the golfers even let me take their picture while playing and made for some amazing pics. Aside from that, the management was really friendly, the greens were well maintained, and it was nice and relaxing. Don't forget about the Canadian geese. they are all over the 16th and 18th hole, but not aggressive. They made for some pretty cool pictures as well.
Not bad, fun course to play, there slowly improving the course.
Nice golf track. Has challenging holes. Hopefully your playing with someone who's played their before cause there some tricky spots. You'll have a good time.
Course is looking pretty sad. Greens are mostly brown patches and ball just bounces across. Lots of geese and lots of droppings everywhere. Some fairways are brown and patchy. They cut one scorecard in half for men and ladies pars. Tee times every 5 minutes, mostly twosomes (some who think they should hit 2 - 3 balls off the tee) so was very busy and backed up. Won't be coming back.
Poor conditions, tees all over tee tee boxes, cigarette butts littering the course and slow play. Go elsewhere.
Really good shape this year.
Nice quiet course with reasonable green fees.
Great round of golf, especially for the price. Course has some interesting holes, decent variety and a lot of water features. Do: bring mosquito repellent. Dont: expect a grade A course. This is a value course, it's not in perfect shape, but it is fun, and the price is right.
Fairways were ok a lot of patchy spots and like 16 out of the 18 greens we’re so bad you could not even putt on them
Nice quiet course. Great golf on a budget. What you would expect for the price.
Great shape now after a tough spring. Challenging, great value.
Great layout and decent course. Excellent value for the dollar. Greens are slow but very from hole to hole. Some nice challenges with narrow fairways in places and water shots keeping you challenged. A par 73 with more par 5s than normal. I'm going back to this little gem. Can't wait till its perfected.
Golf course seems to be getting better with every year. But there is a lot of fairway repair this year. A lot of ground under repair.
First time here, enjoyed the course, greens were great, well established
This course is in rough shape. The greens and tee boxes are horrible. On a positive note staff and players were all friendly.
Terrible greens I will never play again ...complete waste of money.
Ground was a bit tough and the play was quite slow both times I was out.
Updated: 16-May-2020 Even though it is still early in the season here the course is in much better condition than when we played it at this time last year. The tee boxes are in good condition and cut. The fairways are cut properly, but there is still lots of winter kill and some are still soggy. The greens are generally good with minimal winter damage, freshly cut and quick for this time of year. They have paved most of the cart paths. It is good to see this course getting some t.l.c. as it could be one of the best public tracks in the area if they can keep improving the conditioning,
I have been golfing at this course for many years and usually have a decent experience for the money. Lately prices have been increasing and service has went down. On my last visit this week i was golfing with 2 juniors and it was a very dead on the course. on the 5 th hole we stopped on the tee box to take a photo of the 2 kids. We were then approached by the marshal who said that no photos are allowed and we are to slow and need hurry up. Again there was maybe 8 cars in the parking lot and this was a weekday at 3pm. For the rest of the day the marshal was all over us about pace of play that being said we finished our round of 18 in 4hrs 5 min. To the best of my knowledge pace of play is 4hr15min at most courses. I left very upset and the kids felt like they were doing something wrong and did not enjoy their experience. I was invited by a friend the next day to the same course and reluctantly said yes. When i arrived and went to pay my green fees i was once again reminded by the lady at the front desk that no photos are allowed and pace of play is important. Once again the course was completely dead. Maybe if they treated there clients who have been coming there for years even though ownership seems to change every 2 years and fairways are the worst in the city with alittle more respect they could make this course profitable. Also food is terrible, they have no beverage cart on the course, the greens keepers seem to not care that you are golfing and will drive right up on you when you shot. SAVE YOUR MONEY and golf any of the more respectful and appreciative establishment we have in our area. I will never spend another dollar at this course and its unfortunate for the ownership group cause i usually golf approx 15-20 rounds a year there and alway bring people that have never been before. Unfortunately if you are not a member or a member of their community you are expendable in their eyes!!!
Course was in terrible condition. Might as well just tee off on concrete. Probably damage my clubs less. Then there's the owner. Complete moron. Treats customers with complete disrespect and apparently has a problem with people in groups. Would not golf there again and do not recommend you golf there
Best layout I have played in many years. Can't wait to play it again when the weather heats up. Thank you Sam????
Course is nice and priced just right
A very tough but fun course.
I enjoy playing there the price was wonderfully and the course is in great shape
Great looking course ????
Very friendly staff. A hassle free round of golf. Every time I have played there the pace was fast with very little waiting. Good value. Some of the greens are in rough condition but are getting better as the season goes on. 16th fairway is in very poor shape, it need a lot of work. for the most part the other fairways are in fair to good shape. There is a driving range.
Very challenging golf course!
Over priced for the condition of the course. Green were terrible. Bunkers are the same. 55 dollars for 18 and a cart. Should be 30 at the most for this course.
2 ocklock special was really good, 44 bucks for 18, ended up being bad weather after 9 and management rain checked us for our other nine even though it was on special. Also been golfing here for years, really enjoy the challenging back 9!
Awesome prices. Challenging course.
Nice course just outside of Edmonton. I read the poor reviews and it seems people didnt consider the massive drought in the prairies. Course was in great shape for the most part. Very friendly and accommodating staff.
The best I've seen in years. Most definitely going back.
Great day course was in good shape
Nice place to practice a game of golf.
Well kept, lots of different challenges, dog legs, and bunkers have sand too!
Nice layout, reasonably priced. Greens were in a really good shape.
Nice layout, reasonably priced. Greens were in a really good shape.
The greens are excellent this year. Earlier with all the rain in June the fairway were saturated suck the ball in no bounce. Now early August they are hard now bounce a lot.
Had a great time. Staff were friendly, course was in good shape. Found the greens a bit slow but well cared for.
The greens on this course used to be terrible in the spring, this year they are great. A challenging course, bring a few extra balls to give to the water goddess. Great value, fun men's league.
One of the worst golf corse near Edmonton area...
The course is a fantastic layout, nice people. Unfortunately it is in rough shape. Tee boxes and greens need a lot of work to grow in as they did not winter well.
Sam the owner is a nice person..course slowly coming around..like any other..
Course is ok. Not enough carts and the driving range looks like a cow pasture. Parking lot is in fairly bad shape.
Really enjoyed this course. Very well kept with some challenging holes. You need all your clubs for this one. Will definitely play this course again.
Great bang for your buck. Club house amenities a little weak but overall good value during the week
Course is in terrible shape.. A free burger doesn't offset the green fees..
Greens are unplayable, they give you a hotdog or hamburger for the inconvenience but I wouldn’t pay more then 45$ for a round I’ve seen pitch and putts in better condition. Course plays nice but the greens were a let down
Played 18 there yesterday. Course is nice. Greens are great. Little water here and there but to be expected these days. Overall a great day. Clubhouse staff was very friendly and helpful
Where to start...front 9 behind a group slow. At turn had to wait 15 min get hotdog. Then back 9 stuck behind a group of 5 people? No cart person and took over 2.45 min. Not pleased
Awfully cared for courses, owner was disrespectful to us and I highly recommend any golf course other than this one.
Lots of water hazards, challenging course, long tees. Great course!
Course is in rough shape for the the price you pay
Good value for some fun golfing
Great staff.. twilight rate .. gree
We stopped going to this course a couple of years ago because we felt it was unsafe the fairways are very close together and many balls are hit your way. We came back to give it another chance and it’s worse. Still dangerous, 4 of us golfing and almost all of us were almost hit. They need to understand you cannot of fairways so close you have people teeing off right there. The course is also in terrible shape. They have new sod on many of the greens that is dead it’s like they forgot to water it so it’s just there dead. The fairways are not well maintained it’s not at all worth the money they should not be charging the full price when it’s in such bad shape. We will not be back again more so for the safety.
Greens were in good shape but ran way too fast. No cart girl driving around for drinks and no restrooms st any holes. Course is challenging with lots of trees and water to lose balls in if you don't hit straight.
Fairway grass was bad. Some of the green is not good.
A fun and challenging course! The fairways were quite wet and damaged and the course marshall only came through once. We had a group who was driving up on us and would have appreciated someone to come out. Greate value for the early bird special.
Very well maintained. Wonderful view
Like course, great deals on golf
We've been golfing Edmonton Springs for a few years now, the greens were not up to par when the season opened, but we went back about a week ago and it seems to have improved some. The only concern I had was that the fees were not consistent, some days they charged us more and other days they charged us less. PS: We never complained about the course, so we never got a FREE burger or a FREE hot dog either, we paid FULL price for that too.
The course was alittle ruff on some holes.but over all great for the price , and the hospitality was great, had a great day
Their greens are in best shape I've seen in the past 5-6 years. A nice touch by finally splitting the pro shop & concession/bar area.
Please do yourself a favor and do not go here. We came here on a weekend and it was so overbooked it took us an hour to play 2 holes. We decided to get a rain check. Went back when it wasn't busy and the owner would not honor the rain check. All the bad reviews are true. STAY AWAY. Zero stars
Greens are in poor condition fare ways not bad.
Pretty great course with fantastic customer service. It’s pretty wet in some areas due to the rain but they are doing what they can. Challenging fairways with pretty decent greens. We will be back for sure.
My truck was broken into course is in poor condition
Went early in the season, soggy fairways and very inconsistent greens. They knew this and set the price to match. Will return later in season.
Good course, cheap, could be a great course if the owners put some money into it
Great conditions!!
Great place to golf and well groomed despite all the rain in 2019
Bought a groupon in 2018 , haven’t had much time to golf, went there today , may16 . 2021 and was hoping to use my group ( which they are supposed to honour $ value) Owner told us they haven’t used groupon in two years , and that there is no cash value . Course had very rough green , wait till July aug maybe
Very fun course, excellent and friendly staff. Some of the greens could use some love, but overall a great round. A fair amount of water hazards, and the accompanying geese.
terrible condition - should lower prices. Will not return ever
This golf course is in the heart of some lowlands so there is sand on the tee boxes and industrial pumps around the water hazards. On the the other hand, the holes are long and the greens are expansive. Easily accessible from Edmonton, I had engulfed in a long time and this was a great way to get reacquainted with the sport!
Really nice course but the greens were in pretty bad shape. The back 9 is very tight but very nice and secluded. Definitely will go back
If I could have given it a 0 star I would have. First problem is the driving range balls the SELL you explode on contact almost like a joke ball. Good joke. Greens were in horrendous shape. I understand sod being added but fertilizer burn marks are a sign of people not knowing what they are doing. Not one green had a good roll. There was no point in lining up a putt since not one ball would roll more than a foot without bouncing or jumping somewhere else. The tee boxes had minimum grass. The choice was to either stand in mud or swing into mud. I chose to ruin my shoes myself not my clubs but users choice really. I noticed some people as well took another way to the green by teeing a ball through the posted signs next to the boxes. Than some guy (presumably the owner) comes out on a cart to scream at us in the middle of hitting in the most unprofessional manner possible for not letting people through when the group ahead was still teeing of on the next box. I guess the guys behind us wanted to wait more for that group than us. I would never golf here ever again even if it was free. If I was ownership I would be more comfortable telling people I was the person who sits in the van and does the photo radar than owning Edmonton Springs. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY
Well kept nice staff
Not in good shape greens horrible fairways not cut
Good course for the price, played a twilight round the other evening. Pretty easy from the whites, challenging from the blues. Greens look good but are a bit inconsistent when it comes to their speed. Will definitely play again.
Good course, offering challenge to many golfers.
Staff were most unhelpful in dealing with slow play. Groups backed up three deep because of a group that didn't know/respect rules of play. Marshal sat and watched. Staff inside no better. We left after 9.5 holes and 3 hours. Total frustration. Never again.
The course is in awful condition and the greens are so bad you can’t even put. On top of that the staff maintaining the course have no respect for players and won’t move out of the way even when they are blocking the green This course continues to go down hill as it has for the past couple of years For $89 for 2 seniors with a discount it is a waste of money
good course
Nice challenging course. Lots of water and lots of mosquitos due to the amount of heavy bush. Good value, generally less crowded than the intercity courses
The worst conditioned value course in the city by far/ever. Almost every green is toast like playing on a checker board. There is no work in progress to address every deficiency of this once decent conditioned course. They’ve given up and are happy to collect your money for no value. Save your money and clean your garage instead.
A long course with some challenging holes and lots of water. The fairways are well kept and the greens are in very good condition. At this time there was some wet areas on the fairways, but this is due to recent rains. Overall it's a fun course to play. May 2021- OMG what happened to this course ? Horrible condition and way overpriced. Greens are almost nonexistent, mostly sand or dead grass.
This place is polarizing. It's got a potential championship layout -- long beautiful and challenging holes -- but theres a lot of little things that need improvement.
3 stars when it is at its best. Greens are very rough and inconsistent, ball marks all over. Fairways are hard and it doesn't change much to rough, decent layout. Driving range and facilities are mediocre.
crappy food
You pay $40 for a reason
Lots of water good coarse but grass needs to be cut
Nice hard course. Driving range needs maintenance of
The driving range is fantastic - if you like paying 10 dollars for a bucket of cracked and/or largely unhittable golf balls. If I had to guess, I’d say you would have to search to find a range less desirable than this one.
The blue shirt (sept 26) thicker built Marshall tells us top stop golfing around and keep up with the group in front of us, meanwhile I'm waiting for the group to get off the green, but I hit the ball because he tells us to keep up and put it beside the boys on the green in front of us. If there's a line up of people waiting at the tee box in front of us, don't tell me to hurry and encroach on the group in front of us. Also, fix your fairways if you're going to charge as much as you do. Same as your tee boxes made of dirt
